Politics › Re: If We Must Bring Back Subsidy, It Could Be Done This Way by hercules07: 8:51pm On Jan 10, 2012
You are comparing drugs and petrol? What kind of comparison is that? Do you get Cocaine and heroin from the government? Abeg look for something else jare, controlling smuggling of these things is very easy abeg, you can track all those tankers one by one or what is the purpose of technology, are they not leaving from your loading bay, there are IT systems that will track usage of these things and will let the NNPC or whoever know if the products are smuggled or not.
Politics › Re: If We Must Bring Back Subsidy, It Could Be Done This Way by hercules07: 8:05pm On Jan 10, 2012
@Point 1

What if the price of fuel goes up to #200 in neighboring countries, will there still not be an incentive to smuggle? Please tell us something else, the only way to stop smuggling is to guard your borders, these things move in trailers that are easy to track.

@Nchara

Why are you calling it fake news, the commission part is common knowledge.
Politics › Re: Two-face: ACN governors and leaders secretly want subsidy removal by hercules07: 7:51pm On Jan 10, 2012
@Nchara

Does Jonathan need Nigerians to tell him that subsidy removal without proper palliatives is bad, does a thief need a policeman to tell him not to steal? What kind of questions are you asking here, the police is around for a reason, they either do their jobs or get out.
Politics › Re: Two-face: ACN governors and leaders secretly want subsidy removal by hercules07: 7:30pm On Jan 10, 2012
@Nchara

I say talk to the Police, do they not know their basic duty? They are meant to protect lives and citizens, instead of killing protesters, they can protect those who are ready to work.
As per the Igbo thing, most of those on NL that are against the protests are of Eastern origin, thankfully, situation on ground is different, majority of Nigerians support the strike action.

@Nchara

Those not protesting have a right to go about their daily business, there is no compulsion in protests or has anybody come to drag you from your house or office to protest?
Politics › Re: Two-face: ACN governors and leaders secretly want subsidy removal by hercules07: 7:12pm On Jan 10, 2012
@Nchara

I call them fighting for their rights, do you know how many people died for this democracy? How old were you when people were dying on Ikorodu road fighting Babangida and Abacha in 1993? Please do not pretend to feel any empathy for those protesting as we know where you stand, take a cue from Beaf, he makes his stand and stands by it.
Politics › Re: Two-face: ACN governors and leaders secretly want subsidy removal by hercules07: 6:42pm On Jan 10, 2012
We call it being smart, do you think Tinubu is a fool? The Lekki protest was hijacked by PDP goons afterall, opposition parties try as much as possible to profit from the failings of the ruling party believing that people will remember when it comes to voting in leaders.
Politics › Re: Why Are Ghanians Not Protesting Over A Similar Increase In Their Pump Price: by hercules07: 6:40pm On Jan 10, 2012
Ghana people are more politically savvy than their Nigerian counterpart, during the last elections, the outgoing president was trying to do divide and rule, they saw through it sharp sharp and threw his government out.
Politics › Re: Two-face: ACN governors and leaders secretly want subsidy removal by hercules07: 6:35pm On Jan 10, 2012
Tinubu might support fuel subsidy removal, he might be in solidarity with ACN governors that need the money to develop their states, I do not take my moral compass from what Tinubu does, I have a brain and I use it, Tinubu is doing his thing and I am doing my thing, by the way, I am not a fool.

Imagine George Bush in 2001 telling the American people that Al-Qaeda was too powerful and that Americans will have to bear with him as they bomb them to oblivion.

You can not stop being tribalistic abi, who cares if Tinubu is not protesting, we are doing our bit, I suggest you read some of General Patton's speeches to his troops, especially the most famous one, it will teach you to stand up for your rights.

Guys, please do not lump online Igbos with those on the ground, those on the ground are willing and able to protest, infact, those leading the protests are Igbos as well.
Politics › Re: Chinua Achebe Leads Nigerian Authors' Fuel Subsidy Protest by hercules07: 6:34am On Jan 10, 2012
I am just so happy that real life Igbos are quite different from the NL ones, it seems the ones on NL are in dreamland, a lot of the protests are being led by Igbos who want a better NIGERIA.

I can see thousands of MW, are you not meant to send the stuff to the grid once you go past a certain MW?
Politics › Re: Fuel Vouchers: A Better Way To Subsidize Fuel? by hercules07: 8:33pm On Jan 09, 2012
Difficult to implement but at least a sound idea, I believe the OP has contacts in government he can relay this to. The problem with any major undertaking in Nigiera is because of corruption and inefficient government, until we get a government that is at least competent in doing a couple of things, we will not have any development.
Politics › Re: Why Are Ghanians Not Protesting Over A Similar Increase In Their Pump Price: by hercules07: 7:12pm On Jan 09, 2012
Did anybody notice that their cooking gas is about 40% cheaper than ours despite the increases?
Politics › Re: GEJ create employment: Paid Gej Apologist Litter Nairaland! by hercules07: 6:42pm On Jan 09, 2012
Beaf is earning his money, the situation on ground is that people are totally against the fuel increases, so, Beaf can shout online, the guys who are protesting do not read his stuff.

Politics › Re: Blame Nobody But Yourselves, Nigerians! by hercules07: 7:03am On Jan 09, 2012
@Big B1

You were speaking well until you came to the reasons coups have not taken place, Yorubas do have the guts but will not want to lead something like that because of people's perception, anyway, we do not need a coup, what we need is for people to stand up for their rights.
Politics › Re: Fuel Subsidy And Luxurious Bus Companies. by hercules07: 6:59am On Jan 09, 2012
Luxurious bus owners use the 18 seater buses as well, infact, we have more of those 18 seaters than the long luxurious buses on the road.

He is a GEJ supporter, if he can make as much noise as Beaf, they might consider him for special assistant on Internet Explorer Matters (you guys know that other guys will occupy the post for other browsers).
Politics › Re: A Must Read ! Before You Go Out For Any Protest: by hercules07: 5:27pm On Jan 06, 2012
I am a Sanusi supporter and as one, I support what he has to say, having said that, if he really believes in all of what he is saying, he should leave the government as he has just called GEJ and his ministers OLE. We know subsidy has to go, but, the government should come with clean hands, nobody knows the landing cost of these items, how come our leaders are the highest paid in the world, what kind of nonsense is that, if you are asking us to sacrifice, then nothing stops you guys from doing the same.
Politics › Re: Fashola Shuns Protesting Lawyers by hercules07: 1:09pm On Jan 06, 2012
