Politics › Re: Removal Of Petroleum Subsidy: In Whose Interest? Live by hercules07: 2:04pm On Dec 22, 2011
I do not believe government can not build and maintain refineries, sadly, I am coming to the conclusion that the Nigerian government can not handle any level of responsibility that it is given.

Politics › Re: Ajimobi Presents N160.6b 2012 Budget To Oyo Assembly. Compare. by hercules07: 6:58am On Dec 22, 2011
Oyo state is also my state and I hope to God this guy performs, Capital expenditure being more than recurrent should be standard in a country where the infrastructure is dead, the higher your capital expenditure the better the redistribution of wealth down the food chain.
Politics › Re: Sanusi, The Most Intelligent Man In The Country- IMF by hercules07: 4:19pm On Dec 21, 2011
@Jarus

Abeg no count me inside o, I be southerner and I acknowledge his brilliance. We know the usual suspects that are against the guy.
Politics › Re: GEJ & Sambo To Spend N992.57M On Food Next Year by hercules07: 5:42am On Dec 21, 2011
Compare and contrast GEJ and his PDP with Fashola and his ACN, please Lagosians vote in PDP because you are not ready to pay toll gate fee, vote PDP because God forbid public schools should not charge high tuition fees but private (including churches) can charge as they like, people should ask Osun people what they faced with Oyinlola, then you will know why any PDP government in the SW is a disaster.
Politics › Re: Pics - Babatunde Raji Fashola Pays Lekki Toll Gate Fee by hercules07: 5:36am On Dec 21, 2011
See PDP people and their bad belle, those who were unhappy that Lagos is developing are also on this thread, please post pictures of roads as good as this from your village and lets know the population and allocations made to you. They want good things but they do not want to pay, abeg vote PDP in 2015 then you guys will know the meaning of being useless, at least the road has been provided, where is the road from here to Ibadan or from here to the East, between Ibadan and Osu on the new road we used to have 2 toll gates, the same distance as this Lekki road, nobody complained, airport road is still being tolled even after OBJ removed toll gates from all federal roads, now, Lagos is doing something nice, you people are shouting.
Maintenance is one of the greatest problems of Nigerians and this road is a private initiative, when you guys do your business, you try to maximize profit, Nigeria is a jungle, high risk high gain land.
Politics › Re: Sanusi, The Most Intelligent Man In The Country- IMF by hercules07: 5:25am On Dec 21, 2011
Sanusi is extremely intelligent, all you need to do is look at his writings and his career, we do not need an agent of doom like that woman to tell us what we already know. The people here attacking him are the usual suspects who can not stand an aboki being enlightened, as per his stance on boko haram and the rest, you need to just read his articles and you will see where he has taken on a lot of Muslim scholars in the north, the man is a muslim, he believes it is part of his person, but, he does not allow that to interfere in his professional life. I find it funny that we christians are talking about a muslim who is deeply religious when our president and the senate president can never make a speech without resorting to their own religion, we all need to know that Nigerians are religious by nature, even when they are fornicating they will still be calling Jesus or Allah or Sango.
Politics › Re: What's Happening On The Lekki Axis? (3) by hercules07: 4:12pm On Dec 20, 2011
Though the road is narrow, it looks smooth, unlike some of our roads on the mainland.
Politics › Re: What's Happening On The Lekki Axis? (3) by hercules07: 3:41pm On Dec 20, 2011
No court date because Mr. Ebun decided to play naughty, having lost in the state and Federal High court, he started playing hide and seek on the Appeal thing, abeg, let the residents pay jare and let the poor ride BRT.
Politics › Re: Tinubu, Fashola To Make N506b From Lekki Toll Fees ! by hercules07: 11:13am On Dec 20, 2011
@nku

Let them remove fuel subsidy but get our refineries working first, Fashola and LCC built the road before they tolled it.
Politics › Re: Fashola Pleads With Residents On Toll And Further Explains by hercules07: 3:45pm On Dec 19, 2011
See people who gladly handover 10% or more of their tithes to their pastors complaining about spending money on development, if the toll money is too much please go by BRT, I am sure tolling will help reduce the number of cars plying the roads, we should embrace public transport jare.
Politics › Re: Fashola Pleads With Residents On Toll And Further Explains by hercules07: 12:02pm On Dec 19, 2011
Apparently Texas has not gone on that road, there is nothing like cosmetic repairs, the road was well repaired, for goodness sakes, the Lagos - Ibadan expressway is going to cost twice per kilometer and no one is protesting, the airport road is tolled, if you like pass the place 20 times, you will pay 20 times, why is there no protest, abeg let the rich pay, let the poor take BRT.
Politics › Re: Fashola Pleads With Residents On Toll And Further Explains by hercules07: 9:49am On Dec 19, 2011
@Ajanlekoko

So there really is an alternative route, it is expected that when stuff like these start, there will be some chaos, the LCC guys just need to fine tune their strategies, also more BRT buses should be deployed on that route so that the poor will have a cheaper means of transportation, danfos can always ply between the toll points, that way, they will not be paying any toll fees.
Politics › Re: Fashola Pleads With Residents On Toll And Further Explains by hercules07: 8:54am On Dec 19, 2011
Fashola carry go jare, the tax money is used to pay workers and build those health centers you guys see. There are 18 million people in Lagos who need to be taken care of, 3B dollars can not do that, there is a need to supplement with loans and PPP like these, I am sure that in a couple of days, the chaotic situation will be ameliorated, one thing I want Lagosians to know is that there will always be traffic congestion, we are just too many in this state.
Politics › Re: Residents Warn Against Uncontrollable Chaos Over Lekki Tolling - SaharaReporters by hercules07: 6:15pm On Dec 18, 2011
Their cars should be towed and they should be charged to court.
Politics › Re: One Dead, Kate Henshaw Brutalized As Police Crackdown On Occupy Lekki Protesters by hercules07: 12:04pm On Dec 18, 2011
People have the right to protest peacefully, but, when they try to force others to join or attack law enforcement agents, then you know what will happen.
Politics › Re: Residents Warn Against Uncontrollable Chaos Over Lekki Tolling - SaharaReporters by hercules07: 12:01pm On Dec 18, 2011
Fashola has provided a road that he is tolling, let the FG provide refineries and then remove subsidy, nobody will shout.
Politics › Re: Bola Tinubu, Babatunde Raji Fashola And Hakeem Odumosu Will Never Know Peace! by hercules07: 12:00pm On Dec 18, 2011
DJ should just shut it, if you want Lagos to develop, pay your tolls. The Airport road in Ikeja is tolled, how come you guys are not shouting about that? Why are you guys not fighting for the car parks at the airports to be free, afterall they were done with government money.
Politics › Re: Occupy Lekki: Lekki Toll Gate Protest-update by hercules07: 11:58am On Dec 18, 2011
Let them pay the toll jare or go by public transport, how do they expect the government to survive if they do not pay the toll, a 120 Naira or 240 Naira toll per day equates 5K per month, if you have no business leaving your area do not, do not add to congestion on the roads abeg.
Politics › Re: The New Ikeja Mall. Pics. Another Eko O Ni Baje Moment. by hercules07: 9:43pm On Dec 16, 2011
10 Mila?, You think say I dey related to the owners? its a good thing and I know the guys who built it are going to do more, governments should encourage businesses, it might be multi billion or mom and pop shop, the important thing is that this brings some money to the economy.
Politics › Re: The New Ikeja Mall. Pics. Another Eko O Ni Baje Moment. by hercules07: 8:56pm On Dec 16, 2011
Radical, make I link you up? if little me can make some money from this, imagine how many people stand to gain, we need to know that it is businesses like these that will grow the economy of states.
Politics › Re: What's Happening On The Lekki Axis? (3) by hercules07: 8:53pm On Dec 16, 2011
People should pay up, the earlier they start paying the earlier they can complete the project, it is a shame that a lawyer of Mr. Ebun's standing can do what he is doing.
Politics › Re: The New Ikeja Mall. Pics. Another Eko O Ni Baje Moment. by hercules07: 8:45pm On Dec 16, 2011
I seem to remember our eastern brothers jumping for joy when shop rite opened in Enugu, the good thing about this deal is that it brings about $100m into the economy of lagos state and also creates employment, it is a win win situation, imagine 100s of projects like these in Lagos? We need these things to generate employment, I know how much I made because of this project.
Politics › Re: Why Fuel Subsidy Must Go Now, By Jonathan by hercules07: 8:43pm On Dec 16, 2011
The smuggling one is laughable, do they smuggle these things in jerry cans? The total capacity of our refineries will stop importation and there will be left over for export, it is not only about doing something, it is about doing the right thing at the right time. As per Fashola, of course he will want the subsidy removed so that he can have more money to spend on the state, if you are not aware, the Federal government is spending the states' money and they do not like it.
Politics › Re: Why Should SSS Arrests Boko Haram Leader’s Wife & Son? by hercules07: 6:27pm On Dec 16, 2011
Why should she be arrested if she is not a member, and even if she is arrested, she should be charged to court immediately, I can not believe people are supporting this, this is a flagrant abuse of her human rights, talkless of a 7 month old baby.
Politics › Re: What Is The Big Deal About Fashola? Nonsense! Pt 2 by hercules07: 3:26pm On Dec 16, 2011
Fashola is doing okay, he can do better sha but Lagosians need to work with him, the finances of the state are stretched and there are too many mouths to feed.
Politics › Re: No Honest Nigerian Like Buhari – Bakare by hercules07: 3:11pm On Dec 16, 2011
@Da Doctor

I was not in the country when the first set of elections took place, when I came back to vote for Fashola, I noticed that I had miraculously voted the previous week and PDP won there.

@noble
OBJ is one of the most vindictive men alive, if he had got something to nail Buhari with, he would have done it, especially someone who worked for Abacha.

A $100m investment requires support from the government, this is 15 Billion Naira we are talking about, that is some state's allocation for a couple of months.
