Buhari was never an NCO, Lts are officers, NCOs are all those people with Vs and big wrist Watches (Warrant Officers). |
@Koruji and Negro You guys should know beaf by now, he is gradually adding SW to BH supporters, he will start with the elites, then insidiously add the yorubas, you know he has his SE goons in Nchara and others to connect the imaginary dots. |
@Nchara I know this is a tribalistic post, but you have also opened thread that are far worse than this, can you refute what Negro has typed up there? You can open another thread on how some people worship skeletons and the rest, please refute his allegations as I do not think what he has written should go unchallenged. |
@mike Why are you people so shallow, these are the spokes person of the respective entities, they are not representing themselves but the people they work for, why is that so difficult for you guys to grasp. |
I read your post well before I responded. The problem is a global one, killings have been going on all over Nigeria, not only the north, the problem with the killings in the north is because it crosses ethnic and religious lines, what is the difference between BH and armed robbers who snuff out lives, some do it en masse, others do it incipiently, some communities in Ebonyi have killed far more than BH, ask those who come from that area. Islam is not responsible for those deaths, northerners are not responsible for those deaths, some lunatics, their sponsors and the government are responsible, do not give a religion a bad name in order to hang it, George Bush went to war using biblical terms, millions are dead and no one is attributing it to christianity. |
@tpia The Lord's resistance army say they are fighting for christians, do they represent you? Anybody can say anything, do criminals who go to church represent christians, Obasanjo is a born again christian who preached in church does he represent you? I find it frankly ridiculous when the actions of less than 1 thousand people is used to blackmail tens of millions. What is needed is for someone to light some fire under their bottom, they only understand violence, give it to them in triple measure, go after their sponsors, freeze their wealth, smoke them out of their comfort zones, GEJ says he knows them, he should go after them. |
The figures were bandied around during elections to prepare the ground for election rigging, the Igbos do not constitute more than 10% in majority of those states. |
They are talking to the wrong set of people, these are not Yoruba leaders, as you can see, it is a PDP affair, GEJ knows who to talk to when it comes to the leaders of Yoruba, they are just wasting their time in Ikenne. |
The guys should vacate the land if they have been given a legal order or they can take the case to court, there is nothing tribal about this, Nigerians are fond of trading in any open spot, that Onitsha needs to be cleaned. |
Thank you mikewills, this Okonjo is just trying to pull the wools over our eyes, how can we be sharing it 57:43, dem use juju for us? Our share of the whole thing is far higher than that jare. |
@tunnytox The awolowo that was in jail? Akintola's style of governance was perceived as being feudalistic, Awo also had massive support of the people, it was always going to end in tears. |
I was discussing with an Igbo friend during the strike period and he was comparing politics and politicians, he said the only politician that had an ideology was Awolowo, that though he was a tribalist (something I disagree with), there was something he stood for and those things were good. I believe if we had gone the Akintola way, we would have regressed, leadership is held in trust for the people, that Awolowo knew and he did, I only hope that we can have more of Awos in every state and every region. |
@Dayo and others There is enough blame to pass around, in retrospect, Awolowo's stance was the better one, we have been in mainstream politics and we got nothing out of it, it is better for us to develop our region and let the other regions do whatever they want to do with theirs. |
@Olodo BH is not discriminatory, it kills both muslims and christians, rich and poor, elite and downtrodden, the fight against BH is not a sectional one, if you make it so, Nigeria will be worse off, evil should be fought by all, if southerners leave the north, BH will still continue with their wahala, if you give them their country, they will still continue, they need to be brought to book and the only person that can do that at this point in time is GEJ as he wields the authority needed. |
Why did the finance minister not tell us the percentages, the total accrued to the FG is 8.6 trillion out of which the FG takes over 57%, what has the FG done in your state? |
Abeg someone should educate me small o, sharing exploration costs 57% and 43% should not translate to sharing the crude in the same ratio, for instance, the fact that I own the resource should mean I have say 50% upfront, then we can now look at the remaining 50% to determine what should be done about it, why should these companies invest say 10 billion dollars to reap 100 billion dollars, I as the owner of the oil have got the upper hand here, heck, I will knock their heads against one another and their contracts will be up for renewal every three years. 989900 you have been promoted to 999999 with that contribution, is it so difficult for these guys to see these things? |
@Tunnytox The party was supreme in those days, everything went through the party, Akintola thought he could go main stream and being an are ona kakanfo, he had that independent streak in him, I think he was wrong and went about it the wrong way, by the way, I know Wole Awolowo went to Ibadan Grammar school and not any overseas school as he was my dad's classmate (awo caught them at his house during school hours, asked pa alayande to give my dad 6 of the best and twice that to his son). |
You do not need a police permit to stage a protest, that is a myth. |
Fulani did not conquer yoruba land, the funny thing is the conquest of Ilorin was actually done by yoruba generals all fighting under Alimi, you guys think Abacha was a dictator, you have never seen an 18th or 19th century Are, Abacha will look like a boy scout beside him. The Fulanis could not conquer the Yorubas by war so they resorted to diplomacy and trickery, trying divide and rule method with powerful yoruba generals. |
Obadara was into telecommunications and not into oil before he contested the elections, I can at least vouch for him until he became a senator that he was not into oil business. |
@Jarus Can you quote the relevant section of the constitution, why should fiscal and monetary policies be under just one minister? |
I am a supporter of SLS but, he started it, he played the man when he wrote that article about Nasir el Rufai. |
I have not really seen the soldiers sha in Lagos, maybe they have reduced their number. |
SLS is a good man, a good man stands with his friend through thick or thin, I wish we had more of him in high places, the opposition has a role to play and El-rufai is playing that role brilliantly. |
Which Pastor Ayo, the one that has been screaming war all over the place is now a peace maker, it is obvious that tompolo went to ask him how many militants he commands for him to be making threats. |
Maybe Tompolo went to give Ayo a piece of his mind and told him to stop heating up the polity as they are not going to fight their fellow Nigerians, see, anybody can spin anything. |
Fashola can not be blamed for this, he must have been told in clear terms that the soldiers will be deployed, it is good that Jonathan is showing his true colours, 2015 is around the corner. |
He still has time to redeem himself, but the issue is the SW does not forgive so easily. |
Chikelu still remains the best Information Minister in this democratic dispensation. |
@engineerd You should have voted and voted for Buhari, this mess is appalling, we are waiting for labour. |
