I will support him if he decides to go for it, I just think that Nigerians will never vote for a honest man at the center. |
@el University education can be privatized as long as the primary and secondary schools equip kids with what they need to have a meaningful life, why do we need university students as cashiers and customer service reps in banks if not for the cluelessness of our leaders. |
So the schools are public schools, why are you now advocating for private schools in Nigeria, the public schools in Nigeria are also funded from property tax among other taxes, I live in a fairly comfortable neighborhood (by naija standards) and my children can not attend the public schools there because of the poor standards, we need to ask on government to use the commonwealth for the true purpose, education being one of the important ones, there are two equalizers in this world, education and the internet. |
@ekt_bear Who is in charge of primary and secondary school education where you live? There are some things the government has to do right, education is one of them, they can not continue to delegate their responsibilities, if the old western region could have good schools, what stops the new ogun state from running a good primary and secondary school? |
Ol boy see as people fall mugu, funny thing is Canada Immigration is easy to do by oneself, just go to www.cic.gc.ca, people like shortcuts that is why they are easily parted with their money. |
@deols This last response was better, I was just trying to tell you that marrying a man from a particular religion does not guarantee he will remain in that religion, I know a guy who was a muslim, became a christian and is at present a muslim, anyway, hope you get a man that meets your aspirations ( and does not convert), have a nice night and weekend. |
@deols See insult o, you can beg to disagree but no need to resort to insults na, anyway, it is your choice to make on the type of husband and his religion, just thought I could let you see things from a different perspective, a last piece of advice, do not resort to insults readily, it reflects badly on you. |
The desperation is not in the interview but the thread, I thought u were a muslim basher, anyway, I hope she grees. @deols, and then you marry another one who also converts and you divorce and on and on, marry someone who you love and meets your expectations, religion should not be criterion, we will all get to heaven if our hearts are pure and we do good. |
First time posting here, the lady that says she will only marry a muslim, what happens if he converts to christianity? On topic, someone should please dash toba a babe, the guy is getting desperate. |
What is wrong with these clerics, if Oyo state sees profit in partnering with some people to bring the bank to the state, they should go ahead, why cant the man just face his job and save souls for heaven. |
There will no peace without Justice, those whom OBJ went to see do not hold the keys to the BH menace, the politicians and ideologues do, until the government can ensure that there is justice on the two sides (for BH members killed in cold blood and for innocent civilians killed by BH), there will be no peace. OBJ is just an opportunist, if Buhari had visited the families of former BH leader, Beaf will be the first person on this site screaming for his arrest, I am not too bothered about IBB as he is a pest and the earlier someone takes care of him for good the better. |
@djustice How much did it cost the government to build the houses, how much for the land, if it is more than 7 million then the government has done well by subsidizing it. Your average mechanic that builds his own bungalow spends millions as well. |
Let Soludo explain where he got the money for the mansions and his politics, a brilliant man who had his head turned by politics. |
To all those who say he was leaking secrets, these conversations do not show any secrets, they were talking shop, it is done in all diplomatic circles, Sanusi is just too upright, may God continue to give us people like him, abeg, when is the Islamic banking starting, I have proposals o. |
Pinkrex I hope you are aware we have hydro power plants abi u no go school? I have been to Bayelsa, do you want me to describe Yenagoa? One long road leads to the town and when you get to the town there are about 4 to 5 roads that are tarred, you can go round Yenagoa in 15 minutes in a Keke Napep. The refineries were built when he was a petroleum minister under Obasanjo, where have you been now or are you twelve years old? |
@ekt_bear I know you hate the guy (maybe hate is too strong a word) but, I can tell you that I see him as one of the best things to ever happen to Nigeria, an upright man who is ready to resign anytime anyday. He is a Patriot. |
The reason power has improved is because of the rains, let the rains go and we will see how far, Jonathan's reduction of inflation is dubious as prices of stuff are going up, but if we give him that, Buhari reduced inflation by double digits and as a petroleum minister built refineries and is also not corrupt, built the PTF roads, PTF buses in school, ask Emzor and all those Pharmaceutical industries what PTF did for them. I have been to Yenagoa, it is smaller than Maryland in lagos and has about 3 major roads, what did Jonathan do with the state money when he was in power. |
Better than GEJ? He is miles and miles and miles ahead of GEJ, far far better than Jonathan, there is no comparison, GEJ has been the most clueless president we have had and that is counting Yar Adua o. |
@pink If you need Buhari's scorecard, Google is your friend, hope you are aware that he was involved in building two refineries, you can also ask Jarus to help u with Buharinomics. |
@Islamrules Good, now go out there and have a nice day, it was nice "arguing" with you. |
@Islamrules I have dealt with Nairaland members on the Auto section who know me very well and are aware of my religion, I do not need to lie about my religion on a faceless forum, you see you have muslims in your family, I do have in my extended family (as most yoruba people will) and I see that you can not tar all muslims with the same brush. |
@islam rules The origins of shiites is not Iran, Iran just has the largest population, are you telling me that Lebanese and Pakistanis have their roots in Persia? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shia_Islam#Origin_of_Shias. @Ghaddafi, where did you see the whole country saying they do not want him again, yeah, you saw it on CNN and BBC and did a count, the same way the whole of Iraq did not want Saddam right? By the way, how long has that ally of the US in Saudi Arabia been in power? I am sure everybody in Saudi Arabia loves him, what of Museveni, why are they not bombing Uganda, afterall he has been killing his people for sometime too. The US is supporting die hard islamists who support al qaida, do not worry, another afghanistan is about to happen two countries away from Nigeria, that was how the US supported bin laden and he turned against them. So Imams are being killed because they are making friends with infidels, can you please give us a guide on where you got that and the context, shebi it is in the bible that you should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, so if an extremist christian kills a pastor, it is because of that passage abi, better read your texts well next time. On ENI, the two projects were cancelled by Ghaddafi, now they are restarting them immediately the rebels took over and that does not tell you some negotiations must have gone on with the rebels (rub my back I rub yours). |
@dublin Muslims are such damn hypocrites. I have one in my office and whenever boko haram is mentioned, the most she does is to smile or crack a joke with it. She wasn't even happy when Osama bin laden who killed, likewise some aboki on my street didn't open shop the day after the death of Osama. You see that? You come on here and you see muslims defending the bas.tards, yet they want us to assume that they don't like what is happening. what a negative corelation? They deserve any name calling they get. After all, the all accept the quran and it's teachings. And if they do, why not call ALL of them what they are? TERRORISTS!the all accept the quran and it's teachings. And if they do, why not call ALL of them what they are? BOKO-HARAM. And it is the trutht. After all, the all accept the quran and it's teachings. And if they do, why not call ALL of them what they are? TERRORISTS!the all accept the quran and it's teachings. And if they do, why not call ALL of them what they are? BOKO-HARAM. And it is the truth This was your statement on top of the page, calling muslims terrorists when the same label can be applied to christians. I see you did not see where I stated that I am a christian, when muslims kill it is ascribed to their religion, when christians kill it is either political or ethnic, why not come out and say you hate muslims, at least we will know where you stand. |
Marvix may your days be long, I do not know what is secret about what Sanusi has said, it is called talking shop, they were discussing stuff, it is normal for these type of discussions to take place, even in advanced countries. |
@Islamrules I see you have nothing to say about the invasion of Iraq. I know persians are not arabs, they are have more in common with the west than arabs, by the way there are shiites in other parts of the arab world, they do not only exist in Iran (Google is your friend). Peaceful demonstration my behind, if you demonstrate and you are told to move, if you do not, force will be used on you, try demonstrating in the US and not listen to riot police when you are asked to move. I agree that churches and pastors were killed but can you compare it to Imams that have been killed and the number of muslims killed by Boko Haram? As per the oil deal, please use google or check out http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2011-09-01/middle-east/29953280_1_oil-reserves-oil-production-libyan-oil-fields My last statement talks about the common man looking out for what he will eat and is not interested in killing any muslim or christian, it is the bigoted leaders that incite the few to kill and the US is supporting the same Alqaida elements it is fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. @dublin The bible also advocates violence, so, all christians are terrorists according to you, do not let your hatred mask your common sense, Osama is a hero to some, the US is also a hero to some and an object of hatred to others (1.5m people dead and counting in Iraq and Afghanistan). |
See achievements oooooooooooooooo, naija don better, I do not know where you guys live o, but in my area light is on 25 hours out of 24, water is running well, infact we are living in paradise, carry go , uncle Jona, we nefa see anything, we still have 3 years and some change to go. Abati is a chameleon, he took land from Yar Adua so I am not surprised. |
I tire o fellis, some people just do not want to hear about another religion. |
@Islamrules Do you know how many fugitives are in Britain as we chat why has Russia not bombed Britain, infact why have the western powers not bombed North Korea? Why did the west invade Iraq, shebi we are also talking about Iraq. What is the difference between a Sunni and a Shite, is their difference political or religious? So if demonstrators take up arms in the US or Britain, the military forces will leave them alone abi, try rioting in front of No 10 or at the White house, you will not live to tell the story. You are confusing Jos issue with Boko Haram issue, Jos wahala is ethnic and religious and the two parties have been going tit for tat for a long time. The west signed a deal to help the rebels by getting a high percentage of their oil, so rebels anywhere in the world can sign a deal with a foreign power to overthrow a legitimate government abi? The ordinary people do not care that much about religion, the leaders see religion as a way of making more money, by the way, how can countries fighting alqaida in Iraq and Afghanistan be in bed with them in Libya? @KabuKabu The guy who blows up the mosque or anywhere is a not a muslim in the true sense, will you call MEND guys christians, infact will you call OBJ a christian going by his actions? How can Iraqis pay for something they did not wish for? They did not ask the US to come in, let the US leave both Iraq and Afghanistan, they have bigger issues to solve at home. @Dublin So why do you pay tithes now and read the other texts in the old testament, Christians are bound by the Old testament as much as they are bound by the new ones, abi you fit comot your old testament from your bible. No religion preaches violence, I am a Christian and I know the religion does not preach violence if it is well interpreted and understood, same goes for Islam, heck there are countries that are wholly muslims and you do not hear anything about violence from them. Your argument tires me sef, in one post you say Islam supports violence, in another one you say it is being twisted, I agree with you on the issue of people twisting religion to suit their needs but I can not agree with you that the religions themselves are the problem. |
@Kabukabu What is the function of chaplains in the western armies, no religion supports violence, trying to blame islam for the violence committed by a few is wrong, we can find examples in christianity too. Christianity was spread by conquests and slavery, and please read your history well, territories conquered by muslims had a choice on religion. |
@Dublin Hope your bible contains the Old testament. I can pick a verse from the bible even in the new testament that supports violence, does that mean Christianity supports violence, you need to separate the religion from the practitioners. @islam rules, the Northern Ireland stuff is religious, that is why it is called a SECTARIAN conflict. The people that blew up the World Trade Center were Saudis, why did America not invade Saudi Arabia and I am sure you know Saddam Hussein hated Osama bin laden even more than the Americans. Shites and Sunnis (not only in iraq but in the muslim world) fight over religious differences not necessarily political. Boko Haram is even political, everyone knows that some politicians who were disgruntled in the PDP are using the guys to score points. NATO is just protecting the civilians by blowing up infrastructure and killing the same civilians right, by taking sides in the war between Ghaddafi and his people and by scrambling for Libyan Oil, they are also supporting AlQaida supporting rebels (hope you know the rebels are "islamists"). |
Rwandan war was not only ethnic, priests and nuns have been indicted in the genocide, let me give you another one, Protestants and Catholics in Northern Ireland. The reason that Libyan one is not termed religious is because the terrorists are the western (Christian Nations), imagine Iran bombing Israel, the next thing you will hear is the muslims have come again, by the way, Shite killing Sunni is religious. George Bush was a religious zealot, his wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have killed close to 2 million people, the Iraqis and Afghans can also say it is a Christian war. The ongoing onslaught of Boko Haram has killed far more muslims than Christians yet all muslims are being blamed for the action of a few, some people are just bigots. |
