Politics › Re: How Democratic Is ACN? by hercules07: 8:36pm On Oct 04, 2011
Adams Oshiomole is also performing, infact, the only ACN governor I am not too sure of is my governor in Oyo state (hopefully he performs), ACN does not take on PDP on how it chooses its candidate, normally ACN responds to unguarded statements by the PDP (ruling forever, do or die affair etc). I fail to see how a SEasterner will ever defend the PDP (Abia, Ebonyi, Anambra Saga), only Chime has come from a party that controls a good number of states. Fashola was Tinubu's magic, if you are not aware Tinubu imposed Fashola on the ACN, he challenged them to do the primaries as many times as they wanted, Fashola will still emerge.
South-East, it has been over a year that Jonathan took over, what has he achieved (he has over 50% of Nigeria's money under his control).
Politics › Re: Aregbesola: I Can Never Leave Lagos And Lagos Can Never Leave Me by hercules07: 8:30pm On Oct 04, 2011
Beaf has a permanent hard on for Aregbe, the people in the state are not complaining it is a Delta guy that is making noise on Nairaland on behalf of Osun people, what he fails to realise is even if Aregbe does nothing for four years, he is already better than Oyinlola who only knew how to loot and kill.
Politics › Re: How Democratic Is ACN? by hercules07: 8:24pm On Oct 04, 2011
@South East

I will ask for my 100 dollars oooooooooooooo, ACN as a party does not do internal democracy, they impose, the reasons are simple if they do primaries, enough PDP people can defect to overwhelm the founding fathers, they are just being careful; and as long as they continue to throw up good leaders, the SW peeps will not be too concerned.
PDP with its internal democracy is far worse than the ACN.
Business › Re: Cement Price Fall: Dangote To Construct Rail Lines by hercules07: 6:55am On Oct 04, 2011
Do not mind them, how can a dirty stinking northerner be so sucessful, anybody who has been to obajana will know the level of the guy's investment, while our looting leaders are siting refineries outside the country, a businessman is spending his money investing in the country and people are hating, I neither like nor dislike the guy, he is simply a businessman, if he is said to have undue advantage, let the regulators look into it, as per telecoms, are we not paying some of the highest rates in the world?
People keep saying he is killing the railways and that is untrue, it is in his interest that the railways work, infact, he will really love to invest in the railways but the guys running things there do not want him to, I think it is high time we relegated ethnic sentiments and look at things objectively, I wish yorubaland has like 10 dangotes.
Business › Re: Cement Price Fall: Dangote To Construct Rail Lines by hercules07: 6:43am On Oct 04, 2011
Why are you guys not heckling Elephant Cement, Burham Cement and Eagle Cement, why is it only Dangote Cement that people are sad about? Let other cement guys crash their prices now, or are they owned by Dangote? Direct your anger at the government that gave him monopolies on these things, your Julius Berger also has a stranglehold on construction work in Nigeria, why are you guys not shouting, afterall, it is proven that JB colludes with government to steal our money in contracts, please leave Dangote alone, he is only a businessman, let the government ensure a level playing field for all in all sectors. I am even surprised it is coming from ekt who is a known capitalist and Ajanlekoko who works in telecoms firms that play very very dirty when it comes to killing competitors.

Guys should just visit the Railway yard at Alagomeji, you will weep for Nigeria, there are junks all over the place, infact, the most modern space there is owned by Lagos state (being used by the Chinese Construction company)

@ekt,

There are quite a few rich kids (actually a lot) that are very brilliant, remember that they have access to better schools than the average kid, the poor ones can come in on scholarship based on merit, some poor kids will also be sponsored by their communities shikena, let LASU be like MIT.
Politics › Re: Fashola Writes British Prime Minister On Exodus Of Nigerian Students To Uk by hercules07: 11:19am On Oct 03, 2011
It is a good idea at the tertiary level, let the schools come here to offer the same standard of education that is over there, another way to go is for the Lagos state government to spend serious money ( I mean very serious) on LASU, so that it will be among the best universities in Africa, the first step is to make sure admission is strictly on merit.

Politics › Re: Name This City And Win 100 USD by hercules07: 9:13pm On Oct 02, 2011
The little you can see is not dirty, the roofs are just rusted, we have had bad government in that state in the last 8 to 12 years, so, I am not surprised by the decadence, hopefully the new governor can do something better.
Politics › Re: Name This City And Win 100 USD by hercules07: 8:55pm On Oct 02, 2011
100 percent Yoruba, have a drink on me with the 100 USD. You can also post pictures of Okigwe, Uturu and so on and I will identify them, travelled all over the southern part of Nigeria a lot.

It is obvious that the guy is the fall guy, he released the suspect to a sister agency, the man has no fault at all, the suspect did not escape from his custody.

@dayo

What the capitalists like ekt do not understand is that there is no safety net in Nigeria and the money to be saved from subsidy removal will not be used for anything meaningful, what has the government done with the little they earn now, do you know that our oil receipts can not pay for the running of our government, let GEJ trim the fats, give us good roads, electricity and so on, if Buhari could do it with PTF money, what is stopping GEJ.
You entrust things to people gradually, I am sure if you have a subordinate, you do not give him all the responsibilities until he can demonstrate that he can manage the ones he has at present.
Business › Re: World Bank To Assist Fg On Job Creation - Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala by hercules07: 1:33pm On Sep 25, 2011
Aribisala is spot on, why are we waiting for foreigners to invest in Nigeria when Nigerians can do the same, especially in the areas of food production.
Politics › Re: The Govt Is Wasting Nigeria’s Wealth - El Rufai by hercules07: 4:33pm On Sep 23, 2011
They are already coming out of the wood work, are the points raised by the guy valid or not, that is the question.
Politics › Re: The Govt Is Wasting Nigeria’s Wealth - El Rufai by hercules07: 4:13pm On Sep 23, 2011
Doctokwus is more concerned about the man than about the message, if or when el rufai decided to contest, you can protest by not voting form him, until then, what he is saying is valid, if IBB says the same thing, we should go listen and go after the leaders, let our present crop of leaders go after the former leaders who looted us.

You are even trying, me I am at the siddon look level now, I know Sanusi is a good man, my friends and family do too, I do not need to convince anybody on the internet.
Politics › Re: Sanusi For President In 2015? by hercules07: 3:09pm On Sep 22, 2011
Jarus do not mind these people, they are blinded by their hatred for the guy, let them continue their fresh air from GEJ, please stop disturbing yourself, when it is time, Nigerians will rise up for honest people, as it is now, the ones arguing with you will rather a thief rules that a honest man.

Politics › Re: 80% Of Northern Children Are Ignorant-- Gov Amaechi by hercules07: 6:44am On Sep 19, 2011
Since it is okay for Amaechi to say this about the North, I expect the governor of Zamfara state to come out and say 80% of all southerners are drug peddlers, 419ners and touts, especially those from Rivers state.
Politics › Re: Sanusi For President In 2015? by hercules07: 8:41pm On Sep 18, 2011
Jarus, do not mind them, they are blinded by religious and ethnic sentiments, I do not care who my president is as long as he does a good job, Sanusi will far out perform most people.
Politics › Re: Sanusi For President In 2015? by hercules07: 6:47pm On Sep 18, 2011
He has also "insulted" the elites of his own tribe, stop trying to disinform people here, any one of you who is against Sanusi should not come here complaining about Goodluck, in another 3 and a half years, you guys will have another opportunity to elected GEJ, I am sure you guys will not disappoint.

Public does not mean it is free, someone must pay for it and our taxes and commonwealth are doing that, primary and secondary schools should be public, free and qualitative, it can be done and should be done.
