Good evening colleagues
WE just left a 6hrs crucial meeting with the speaker of the house of representatives at the chambers in Abuja. The issue of sack was raised at the meeting. The minister of health and permanent Secretary denied it. The speaker has appealed that the news be ignored.
All members should be rest assured as NARD is coming out stronger and advantaged.

The minister was thoroughly embarrassed when the news of the sack filtered in during the meeting of the Hon. Speaker Dogara, NMA reps, NARD reps as well as FMOH reps including the minister. The speaker was surprised and informed the minister his action (sacking) was null and void. The minister was obviously embarrassed as he could only mumble his denial of the source of the sacking of resident doctors.
I was personally at The meeting. Still on my way from the NATIONAL assembly.
The skipping money will be paid.
The sack is laughable...

I don't know why you have to bring this up here. It is not a contest of who strikes the most, which is a very unethical thing to brag about. Both organizations going on strike is wrong , period.
This is the subject of the discourse.
NARD is indirectly indicting their fellow doctors who doubles as directors in our health ministry stop riling JOHESU's issues in. Do you know what will happen when they probe the system and found out the the directors are complacent to the increased number of strikes we've been witnessing lately. People will question doctors leaderships and human resource management abilities, which obviously is not what you people want.
Get your house in other.

Nobody is bragging about the unethical strikes here, we all know d only way to make Nigerian govt listen is calling a strike action, that's d only language they understand.
Please forget about questioning doctors' leadership ability here, they are all part of government and it is d govt failing coz it is presidency that signed d agreement which implementation is being fought for.
The house is very much in order and that's why NARD still speaks in one voice. And don't think that doctors in govt are totally disregarding their colleagues in practice, they are only cautiously playing their cards well and that's why doctors' strikes are always fruitful unlike their counterpart in d sector. It's only a matter of days sister and u see doctors back at their workplaces with their demands met..
Please ma'am don't pity docs..

U don't need to pity NARD, the association still remains very viable and that's why they are bold enough to declare industrial actions when necessary. Johesu on d other hand has been declaring strike too since d inception of this month but can't actualize it.

Ones enemy they say are among the members of his household......Every key positions in the sector held (HoH, MoHS, CMD,MD, CMAC, DCMAC, all directorate at the FMOH) by doctors and yet NARD still cry foul.

The personnel in those offices u highlighted are first politicians before they consider themselves doctors.

doctors in Nigerian public hospitals are constituting nuisance. can't they just think of a better way of engaging d govt other than strike. if all other sectors go on strike this way, what wld the country look like?

Even with that pay, doctors won't be attracted to that state the main objective of d pay rise.
The governor knows he will pay nothing less than 250k per month for a post NYSC doctor.
He knows what he's doing..

No wonder JOHESU has been unable to execute the strike action they had declared to take effect from June 1. The house is divided, graduate nurses marginalized, even radiographers earn more than graduate nurses.
Pharmacists that are like 4th party in patients management are regarded higher than nurses in hospital setting, Na wa o...

I believe there are Christians in here. I am here to speak on an issue which I have taken time to think through.
I see a lot of christian folks in the medical profession and most times I ask what they are doing there. Every medical doctor is under an oath which Its origin is not fully known. Before u can be a doctor, u will have to swear the HIPPOCRATIC OATH......on the day of your INDUCTION. in the Christian faith, it was clearly stated that swearing of any form is not allowed and considered a sin. Why then do I see Christians in medical school? Are they not aware of this OATH? Or did they just choose to turn a blind eye to the truth?
The medical profession has always been like a cult since the days of Hippocrates. It was initially designed with knowledge of secrets of the practice that should only be passed down to children of physicians in the olden days. Medical practise actually started like a brotherhood/cult.....the medical logo says it all(a snake wrapping a cross).....my point here is anybody who calls himself a true Christian cannot become a medical doctor without SIN (TAKING THE OATH).


So my dear Christian friends, are you really for God or do you choose to go against his instruction just because you want to enjoy the gains of being a medical doctor?.......THATS BEING A HIPPOCRITE!

It is bad oooo. We all spend the same 5 years with pharmacy students, sir. A BnSc holder with RN, RM and public health nursing all inclusive.. Haba... It is bad...very bad. No wonder moral is very low on them nurses. Who will perform with such pittance.

My sister, forget d RN, RM, Public health, they are all embedded in Bnsc and it still takes 5yrs. U and I know the major setback degree nurses have. it is their fellow non-degree nurses and other johesu members blocking their chances of renumeral balance.
I personally wonder myself why pharmacists are ranked next to doctors coz with due respect they dont contribute much to patient management in hospital setting they just act like drugs salesmen.
But physiotherapists, medical lab scientists etc are even ranked higher than nurses if I'm right..
Its high time Bnsc nurses stood up against Johesu, they re being marginalized..

But asides d poor choice of word used by d governor calling nurses medical technicians, the remuneration isn't bad.
15k to nurses is commendable, besides only docs and pharmacists earn more.
After all in public service hospital setting, virtually all health professionals earn more than nurses which is not justifiable though..

Radiographers, MLS, pharmacists, physiotherapist all starts at grade level 10 step 4 i.e CONHESS 9 step 2. This is the gl after internship and post NYSC. BNSc nurses are supposed to be placed at the same gl when their internship is commences.

But it is the other Johesu members and non-Bnsc nurses that are really hindering d internship flag off of Bnsc nurses..

It is HND. RN is equivalent to HND for employment purpose same with RM. Combination of both places the bearer at grade level 8 step 4 I.e CONHESS 7 step 1.

Pls I wanna know. For other allied health workers beside nurses, what's their entry CONHESS level as intern and post NYSC?
And is d entry level same for all nurses irrespective of their qualification either RN or Bnsc?

False. Nurses aren't ND. Their pay is the poorest in the health sector compared to their services. I won't advice any nurse to practice in this hell. If u do, u are on your own.

just wanna know, what's d qualification equivalent for those who finished in school of nursing? its diploma..
I understand ur plight chief but I will only consider the Bnsc nurses for pay rise..
