Ogun State Police Command has arrest of Adebayo Gbadebo, a former teacher at Isolog Group of Schools, Agbole Akute, who had been on the run after being accused of sodomy.

The accusation, however, led to his sack from his teaching role at the school.
Gbadebo, was on Monday, April 8, 2019, arrested after the school mandated to produce him, did so.

It was gathered that the suspect, who got married a year ago, had gone to the police division with a lawyer with the hope that he would be granted bail.

The lawyer demanded that another medical examination be conducted on the latest victim, who had earlier been taken to the Mirabel Centre, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) when the latest alleged sodomy was uncovered.

Spokesman of the state Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed that the suspect came with a lawyer, who requested an independent medical examination on the child, but his request was turned down because the police station was not the court, neither would they allow the victim to be subjected to further emotional and psychological torture.

The 22-year-old Auburn University gymnast whose gruesome leg injuries during a floor routine, sent shockwaves across social media, has announced her retirement from the sport.

Samantha Cerio had hoped to deliver a perfect performance at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La., to help the Auburn Tigers secure a spot in the NCAA’s region final.

A man has landed in a hospital after he was brutally attacked by unknown hoodlums in Sokoto state.

According to reports, the assailants attacked their victim and chopped off his hands over an undisclosed reason.

The young man who almost bled to death after the attack – was rushed to the hospital by sympathizers and was attended to.

A suspected yahoo boy identified as Nifemi Opeloyeru, has been nabbed with two freshly barbecued human hands in Ekiti State.

The suspect was nabbed, yesterday, at Ijero Ekiti, during a stop and search operation by the police. According to him, he got the hands at Oke Imesi, adding that he planned using it for Oshole (a type of money ritual) common among Internet fraudsters.

Nifemi further revealed that he was planning to do the ritual in collaboration with two of his friends identified as Alex and Paul.

A man got more than he bargained for on Thursday, April 4, 2019, after slapping his wife in the presence of his sister-in-law in Lagos.

The man had stormed his sister-in-law’s shop along the Igando-Ikotun road to continue dragging an issue he had with his wife. .

In the course of their argument, he slapped her, prompting her to call in her two brothers, who swiftly moved in and stabbed him.

However, while being dragged to the hospital, the husband vowed that the fight has just begun.

A boy stripped himself half naked on the floor and started acting like a lunatic in Edo state.

A girl gave her brother her phone to keep in his care with the intension of getting it back from him when she needed it.

According to Hgs Reports, the brother accepted and kept the phone as intended.

Few days later, the brother gave up the phone to his friend in exchange of collecting some cash to buy drugs, and with the intention of paying back the money.

The friend in question eventually sold the phone to a third party

The sister latered requested for her phone, only to find out that her brother had traded the phone to buy drugs.

This opened up a serious argument that led to the brother acting like a lunatic and rolling on the floor.

Neighbors watched and poured water on him, but he refused to stand up.

He kept on screaming using the word "no no no no" warming his friend to bring back the phone.

Three men, Amechi Dukur, Totimi Johnson and Yusuf Ahmed, were on Monday arraigned before an Ogudu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, over alleged membership of an unlawful society.

Dukur, 25, Johnson, 18 and Ahmed, 21, are facing a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy, membership of unlawful society and breach of peace.

The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecutor, Insp. Lucky Ihiehie, told the court that the trio, along with others still at large, committed the alleged offences on March 1, at 2.00 p.m. at Akala area of Mushin, Lagos.

Ihiehie said the defendants and their accomplices, conspired and conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by using some dangerous weapons to threaten the community.

He also alleged that the defendants belonged to an unlawful society called the Eiye Confraternity.

The offences contravened Sections 42(a) and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Ruling on the bail application, the Magistrate, E. Kubeinje, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N50, 000 each, with one surety each in like sum.

Kubeinje said the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction, be gainfully employed, and with evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.

She adjourned the case until April 24, for further hearing. (NAN)

A 22 year old woman woke up in a field after a night of partying with friends. According to reports, the incident happened on Saturday morning in Tongaat – KZN, South Africa.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to a business premises on Old Main Road in Canelands after the female requested assistance. Upon arrival, Reaction Officers interviewed her in an attempt to establish the sequence of events that resulted in her ending up in the canfield.

The lady explained that she was consuming alcohol with two friends and an unknown male the previous night. Shortly after 22:30, she informed her friend that she had to return home because her mother was waiting for her. They convinced her to stay a little longer and offered her one more drink.

She has no recollection of what occurred thereafter and woke up alone several hours later in the canefield. She confirmed that she was still in possession of her cash however she could not remember if she had been raped and dumped.

The victim’s brother arrived at the scene and transported his sister to the Tongaat SAPS.

It was a black Sunday in Bauchi state as a man identified as Jamal Yari, his wife, two children and sister – were killed in a fatal car accident along Bauchi-Gombe road.

The deceased persons came from prominent and royal family of a traditional title holder known as ‘Yarin Bauchi’.

The deceased named Jamal Ahmed Yari, his wife Hajiya Amina, his younger sister Hajiya Zahra’u B.B Dogo and their two children Adnan and Affan, were coming back to Bauchi from Gombe state when the sad event occurred.

The death of five people in the family on the same day has thrown the royal household and residents of the town into grief.

Their funeral prayer was scheduled to hold Sunday by 5pm at the palace of the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu.

A young man was left for dead after being attacked by suspected cultists in Delta state.

According to reports, the victim was attacked by the hoodlums who shot him and also butchered him with machete at the main gate of Delta State Polytechnic in Oghara-Otefe.

He was left in the pool of his blood after the brutal attack before he was rushed to the hospital by sympathizers. His current condition is unknown as at the time of filing this report.

The Lagos State police command has arrested a 37-year-old woman, Josephine, for bathing her neighbour, Blessing Christopher, 33, with hot water for greeting her husband against her wish.

Reports said that the jealous lady claimed that she was not ready to share her husband with Blessing, a staff of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), and she meant it by pouring hot water on her, on Tuesday night, at Agbotikuyo, Agege.

The victim, however, revealed that as she was preparing dinner for her family in the kitchen, when her neighbour’s husband greeted her and immediately she replied, Josephine jumped out.

Blessing said: “I responded to his greeting by saying, ‘Welcome Sir’. The wife, who heard us, came out from their apartment and warned me never to greet her husband again. .

She said that if I try it again, she would deal with me. I asked her when it has become a crime to respond to greetings and she said I should wait for her. I continued with my cooking.

A few minutes later, I saw her with a pot; she was hurriedly moving towards me. Her husband tried to block me but she went behind and poured the hot water on my back.

Since she poured the hot water on me, I have been in pains. I don’t know what I did to that woman. We didn’t even have any issue. We are just four months old in the compound. .

We later heard that most tenants that had moved out of the compound, left because of the woman’s troublesome nature.” In January, Josephine was alleged to have also broken a neighbour’s head during a squabble.

The police from Zone 2 Command has arrested a 48-year-old herbalist identified as Ibukun Moses, while attempting to sell human parts.

The body parts allegedly belong to a lady identified as Toyin who was brought to the herbalist for treatment but died of an undisclosed illness.

Immediately after her death, investigation revealed that the herbalist contacted her family to come and take her for burial. The family then agreed to bury her in a cemetery which the herbalist took them to.

However, after the burial was concluded, the herbalist returned to the cemetery to exhume her corpse, cut off her head, the two hands and some other vital organs. Upon his arrest the suspect confessed to have done the act because he needed to sell the body parts to make money he needed.

A woman with two wombs delivered healthy twins one month after giving birth to a baby boy, doctors revealed. Arifa Sultana, 20, from Bangladesh, welcomed a premature baby boy through a normal delivery on February 25.

Just 26 days later, doctors were left stunned when her waters broke and she went into labour once again.

She underwent an emergency C-section and delivered twins, a boy and girl, a short time later.

“She did not realise that she was still pregnant with the twins”, the hospital’s chief gynaecologist Sheila Poddar told the AFP news agency.

“We carried out a caesarean and she delivered twins, one male and female.”

Her twins were found to be healthy and were discharged with no complications.

Arifa, who lives in a rural village with her husband Sumon Biswas, gave birth to her first baby at the Khulna Medical College Hospital in Khulna district.

A paramilitary officer attached to the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Unit (Task Force) has been suspended by the Agency for alleged misconduct of enriching himself through extortion.

The said officer, whose name was given as Ikuburuju Alex, allegedly committed the offence at Ikorodu, where he single-handedly billed and collected the sum of #30, 000 from the owner of an impounded vehicle.

Disclosing this development in a press statement, the Agency’s spokesman, Adebayo Taofiq, said the Task Force Chairman, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, was irked by the officer’s gross misconduct whom, he said, took advantage of non-presence of his policemen in the area to perpetrate the act.

“On that fateful day, I was having a lecture with all my police officers at Bolade before the indicted paramilitary officer went and carried out the shady deal, knowing fully well that there would not be any police officer on ground at Ikorodu”, Egbeyemi said.

Bubble bust on the officer when the Agency stumbled on social media reports on the incident following which, investigation was conducted and found the story to be true.

According to Egbeyemi, “Investigations revealed that Ikuburuju truly negotiated and extorted the sum of N30,000 from the owner of an impounded vehicle who committed a traffic offence by plying the ‘BRT’ lane around Agric Bus-Stop in Ikorodu”, an action, he said, was disgraceful and did not justify the training, motivation as well as huge investment by the government to engender excellent performance of staff during the Agency’s operations.

“Lagos State government recently trained all paramilitary officers attached to the Agency on ‘Career Evaluation’ where they were taught how to be professional and civil in their dealings with members of the public”, Egbeyemi said, adding that the Agency would not tolerate indolence and indiscipline in any form.

The Chairman further added that any officer whose behaviour could tarnish the image of the Agency would be shown the way out.

He, however, urged members of the public to take it as an obligation to report to the any officer found misbehaving in the course of discharging his/her official duties to the Agency for appropriate sanction.

A pastor is currently making the rounds online after doing an unexpected thing during church service on Sunday, March 17th.

Apostle Kenneth popularly called Kenny of the Divine Fruit Church of Christ, Kanye in Botswana, killed a dog and ate it raw in the church after claiming it has been blessed.

The church members were not left out as some partook in eating the raw meat including a little baby.

A barbing saloon operator whose identity still remains unknown, was Wednesday morning murdered by gunmen suspected to be cultists.

The incident occurred at Idumwunowina, a community on Benin-Lagos highway in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State.

It was gathered that the deceased who recently got a loan for his saloon business, was just opening for the day’s business at about 8.00am, when three gunmen stormed his shop and opened fire on him.

A source in the community who craved anonymity, said the gunmen who came on a motorcycle, escaped through the Oluku end of the Benin-Lagos road unchallenged.

Residents were said to have scampered to safety when they heard gunshots fired by the assassins.

Our correspondent gathered that security operatives from the Ugbowo and Ekiadolor police divisions were immediately drafted to the scene.

In a related incident, a 23-year-old National Diploma Accounting student of Auchi Polytechnic, Emmanuel Aronokhale, has been reportedly shot dead by unknown gunmen.

The deceased, who hailed from Okpilla in Estako East Local Government Area of the State, was reportedly killed at about 8.00pm on Tuesday at his residence at Second Bawak, Sabo, Auchi.

The deceased was said to be relaxing in front of the hostel with other students when he was shot at close range and he died at the spot.

It was also gathered that the gunmen ordered the other students into their various rooms where they robbed them of their money and mobile phones.

It was learnt that the remains of the student has been deposited in a mortuary in an undisclosed hospital in Auchi.

When contacted on phone over the incident, Edo Police spokesman, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, said he was yet to be briefed on the killing of the barbing saloon operator in the state.
