You see, one of the sad realities of life is that everything we call relationship is transactional. Even the relationship between you and your family members, your friends and even your God.
Most of the people that hangs around you are simply there because of what they can benefit from you.That's why everyone wants to be friends with the rich, but desert the poor.
How about God?
Almost everyone that goes to church or tries to have a relationship with God, are doing so not because they love God, but simply because they expect or believe God to do certain things for them. People also try to relate with God because they fear that evil may come upon them if they don't do so.
How about Pastors/men of God?
Remove tithes, offerings and other financial benefits and 95% of them will run away from ministry. Church/ministry is where you'll see the height of transactional relationship. Very unfortunate.

don't even compare it with the relationship between pastors and their members. Pastors are ripping their members and in turn provide them with false hope. Closest comparison of such relationship is the one between yahoo boys and their clients.
