Marriage was always meant as a business agreement between two individuals. Along the way, it was hijacked by families and then society. Now we see it making its way back to the original script, where the individuals decide for themselves the terms and duration of their marriage.

Nice one,I hope people understand this now so they prepare their mind for the eventual divorce when it happens. The divorce is no longer of if but when,because in this present day virtually no man would want to renew his marriage contracts. Humans easily get bored with the familiar and crave mystery. I get bored easily living with women. This happens even with the gal I love most. After spending few days I’m already bored and want her to leave,so it’s almost impossible for someone like me to sustain marriage.

All relationships involving humans was only meant to be sustained for as long as the humans in the relationships are capable of doing so. It is no different with marriage. Yes, some societies have sort in the past to force couples into holding on until the literal end of their lives in marriage but that charade is what is slowly being eroded with individuals choosing only to go for as long as they can or until they get bored out of their minds, and are ready to move on to the next.

That a marriage fails to last as long as the particular milestone you set in your mind for it does not make it any less of a marriage.

You have a point. Marriage is suppose to be contractual. The idea of till death do us apart is too ideal to be sustained. It was even societal pressure,shaming that kept some women in their marriage. If I am to believe your evolutionary view of marriage, I would say it will evolve into a contract based arrangement where one can exercise right to opt out or renew the contract when due.

We don't know yet, that is the thing, but judging from the various kinds of marriages popping up everywhere, we certainly know it is going to getting to be individually designed and no longer as designed by society.

one thing I have come to realize about life is nothing is permanent.with time, everything eventually dies. Marriage is dying. It is more difficult to sustain marriage now than it was 30 years ago.

evolving into what exactly?The institution is heading into extinction and you are talking about evolution.

Marriage is now outdated. The lies holding it together has now been revealed. Divorce will continue to increase and single guys will no longer be interested in marriage. Embrace the new reality.

Most women thinks the other side is greener especially when they have male colleagues that tell them fake stories about how they took their wife for shopping, buy expensive wears for them,pay children schl fees before resumption etc .

That's how problem will start at home. No matter how u work harder for better, the other guy at work will be telling her better stories, being more friendly, accommodating and caring.

Wife will just get home and look at you like a dumphill.

It seems like a race one can't win.

you have a point. These ladies are easily deceived by what they see on social media and stories People outside tell them. It's a race you can't really win my brother.

Don't judge marriages by your own experiences in and around you oo.

forget social media, marriages are doing well

No dey compare our parents time and this present time. Things have really changed now. Marriage lasted in the olden days than today.

Everyone should be careful of advertising his family riches or comfort to people around him. It's like kidnappers informants are everywhere now. Churches,mosques, universities, streets, Facebook, Whatsapp status etc.
