EducationRe: 38 Nigerian Universities Increase Tuition Fees – ASUU by Hiccups: 7:21am On Jun 27, 2017
grin Dividends of Progressives and Change Mantra. Until Nigerians carefully understands no politician cares about the masses, stop reasoning along tribal, religious and immediate benefit sentiments, ask the right questions, be open to productive ideas and see all politician as an enemy, I'm afraid things will at best be the same.

2: Write a good research proposal and attach it to personalized emails that indicate supervisor search for a topic or any other related topic.
Thank you, I will even beat that guy's record with the way I'm going grin , I thought attaching proposal may limit my chances, since I can easily research any aspect of Telecommunications but my proposal focuses on security. However, I will go with your advice. Also, I was advised to attached CV, any need for it?

EducationRe: NDDC 2016 Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship Application Commences by Hiccups: 3:13am On Jun 24, 2017

@Hiccups, but it isnt allowed this year, right?
NDDC are not open to it but if you have exceptional reason why not? 2015 award letters was received late, most scholars deferred to winter, others fall (for courses with no winter intake). There were few who had other personal issues for instance a guy I met at NDDC office had terrible accident. However, I'll always advice to do everything within your power to leave immediately after receiving award letter.

@Hiccups, So NDDC allowed deferment of admission for 2015 scholars?
Yes, it was for several unavoidable reasons though

I don't think many 2015 Scholars have any issue. They are currently in a PhD program (as all the guys on Masters should have graduated by now), and unless their account details and/or tuition fees changes, I can't foresee any possible payment issue. If any of them is having a payment issue, then there must be a cause. I don't buy the story of administrative oversight or deliberate omission.
2015 scholars (MSc) have not been paid and I am one of them. I know a few more, we deferred admissions for several reasons, which NDDC issued letter to that effect. Account details is not a problem, since we submitted it via multiple sources. I don't know why NDDC only choose to pay some and not all of us early this year. So its not just the PhD guys or account details thing

Hello All,

I appreciate the good work of everyone on this platform, who have contributed to knowledge. However, I have noticed some people walk into this forum and insist on contacting certain persons privately, other than LOE, SOP, proposals, etc., this is regrettable and should be condemned. Please let's ask questions here for the benefit of all. I personally did not comment for once on UK study visa thread, but I got every information I needed there. If this attitude was the case, I wouldn't have benefited.

Of the 2016 Scholars in the UK, only 12 account numbers were received as at last year, and only those twelve were processed. I believe (as I don't know all the 12) all the 12 2016 scholars have been paid
What about 2015 scholars who submitted theirs multiple times? NDDC can continue lying. If they had paid outstanding fees owed all scholars of previous years, there would have been reasons to believe 2016 case is purely of Account details submission
Car TalkRe: 6 Advantages Of Over Speeding (counter Thread) by Hiccups: 7:52am On Jun 16, 2017
What I've returned to see under the sun is that the true nature of any driver at any time reflects or is proportional to level of speed. The word over-speeding is at best contextual.
EducationRe: Gang Members Force Lecturer Out Of UNIBEN Nigeria by Hiccups: 8:17am On Jun 14, 2017
I don't know why many uniben Alumni don't believe department like Computer science has more cultists than medical & life sciences courses. From my years at Uniben, most senior cultists in Uniben are Law & Medical student that later transfer to other faculties like social sciences, art, management sciences and physical sciences. This is because these group of students have spent reasonable years in Law, medical courses like optometry & pharmacy. Therefore, it's very possible for them to hold grudges against lecturers whose course may have contributed to them exiting their initial course of choice. There may be a general believe Engineering has more cultists but in the case of UNIBEN, this is not always true about most senior cultists

Serious wahala, all the same students protest at embassy with video clips available will give room to push things through international media house, because Nigerian media house are useless on this issue. I'm certain once foreign media mainstream report, Nigeria media will rush to copy-paste angry

You people should just chill nah haba, i never said the goverment should not pay ur schoolarship, am under the impression as q grown adult you should not only depend on ur parent( government in dis case) to hand u money. if you guys are too big to do these jobs, then, ur free to keep waiting for the government while you.....
This is not a case of depending on anyone. It is about doing what ought to be done. NDDC gave them award letter, this was the basis which visa and study permit was granted to scholars, NDDC has to do what is right. Do you know $30k value of the scholarship is not enough for most schools in UK and some scholars use personal funds to make up? And you still want them to be cleaners just to show they're independent even when it affects their grade? Well just be informed NDDC scholarship was not meant to go abroad and demonstrate to Niger Delta that one is independent.

NDDC has paid over 25 billion Naira to contractors between November 2016 to March because they corrupt MD and his cronies are the contractors, but won't pay scholars. If I hear Nsima Ekere for governor under APC in Akwa Ibom State. This MD has used scholars money to get more people in Akwa Ibom State decamping to APC
