Sunnystooth: Please anyone... Is it advisable to look for admission in a German school for someone that doesn't have any other source of income to sponsor the Master program without NDDC scholarship?
Also, which German schools do give admission without any of these test of English exams? Please anyone who has answers to these questions should help me out.
Thanks. Some Germany universities gives various scholarships on admissions, from partial tuition waiver to full tuition waiver, which is a big plus. No harm in trying. You can asked more questions here: https://www.nairaland.com/3052025/general-german-visa-enquiries-part/362#55820694 |

Dneroomero: Don't come here to encourage protest. Your "bread" shall be paid when due.
Good day!!!! I suspect you are working with NDDC, else you won't come here to say what you have no idea about. I am among 2015 scholars. This is over 19 months I've not been paid by NDDC and that is very normal to you. On 500k issue, do you know I spent over 400k to process my visa to UK? Do you know I spent another 367K for flight ticket to UK? Do you know how much I've borrowed to pay my bills in UK till date? Do you think scholars are just happy protesting up and down? To put the record straight, at the time former MD Barr. Abia came up with 500k, it was worth nearly £2k and could have taken care of visa processing and flight fares to UK, which was the aim of the amount. Quit trying to make 500K looks like its extra pocket money from NDDC. Currently, I put it to you that amount is not enough for it original purpose. If you think what those who sent you to type here will have any use, you will realize soon. Summer break is coming and I will personally be at PH for the protest. It will be a sustained protest for days and weeks pending when NDDC pay, protest end #EnoughIsEnough |

AlexCk: Wanna ask something, heard it b4, dunno how true it is.
Is it possible for one to use a different offer letter during the interview from the one uploaded during the nddc application process??
For example, u apply to different schools A & B u have an offer from a school A, u used it during registration, then u scale through to the interview process, and presented another offer letter from school B. (apparently, school B took time to grant u an offer, & it's where u really wanna go)
Hypothetically. Yes. This is very possible. However, please look for schools that'll be patient with NDDC delay in payment of tuition |

Anfieldboss: Mine is much older, I did my Guarantors letter 2014 when I applied for NDDC scholarship. I didn't make it pass the test stage that year. The following year I did well in the test, had 40/50 and my performance in the interview was fair at least by my own personal sincere rating, surprisingly I didn't get the scholarship.
I intend applying for the scholarship this year with that same guarantor's letter, though I'll get another one when it's time for interview. What do you think? It's OK, sometimes it happens like that, you will make it this time |

I really need this..who has a good idea for me? You can get admission from UK within 3 weeks, if you have all credentials in place. Its easy to get admission in UK, do it yourself don't involve agent. There are loads of fun schools you can look up, secure an admission letter |

Wazaro1: Thank you so much for your response. However, I just called the scholarship information desk and was told that all is already on ground for the 2017 nddc scholarship scheme to take off, but should be checking National Dailly newspaper/site and their nddc official website for information on the application commencement date which might likely be before mid May. Yeah that's same thing I'm saying, it will be difficult for any scholar to leave for study this year with 2017 Scholarship. Its NDDC tactical way of pushing it to next year, my observation though |

Wazaro1: Please any idea on when the 2017 NDDC scholarship application will commenced ? I'm afraid NDDC may not give scholarships 2017. My conclusions is drawn from the fact that aptitude test were usually completed around this time of the year. However, there are indications (not too sure) the new management may restructure scholarship award process, to commence by third to last quarter of the year, this will reduce the short time frame scholars do have to process visa & give NDDC some room to make timely payments. |

LightandDarkness: That's a very strong cgpa, Toronto and UBC do have some competitive programs so again look into that, UBC usually publishes admission statistics so that might help you get an idea of your admissibility. I think for PhD a publication record can go a long way but if you don't have this a record of research activity would help, usually publication requirements would be included as part of the admission requirement's if it is essential. If it isn't mentioned then i think it would depend on your supervisors perception Thank you. I'm attracted to these two because Computer Science Postgraduate at all levels don't require GRE, besides their reputation in IT |

Osemigho: Don't accept a PhD admission that does not come with funding (AKA Scholarship) that is sufficient for you to pay your tuition and living expenses. Such funding will lower your account balance requirement to as low as #500,000-#1m, if you are single with no dependant. Wow! Thanks for the info. Really an eye opener, I never knew this. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Hiccups: 1:34pm On Apr 23, 2017 |
LightandDarkness: First off you should find universities you are interested in in these provinces and check the tuition fees of those that most interest you. The cic requirement is a minimum of tuition+10000 CAD, don't quote me on this but given that tuition fees for PhDs tend to be on the low side I think 15,000 could do it but like I said check the tuition fees first.
Also I would advise you begin looking at programs immediately, some of these will probably require you having a faculty supervisor prior to application and this process can take a while. You might find it easier if you are at a good university in UK and your grades are typically 2.1+ but still, get on this. Good luck Thank you very much. I am interested in University of Toronto and University of British Columbia. My chances of rounding up MSC in UK with over 85% CGPA is positive. I have not published any Journal yet, though my University may published one of my work, any idea if this can affect my chances of gaining admission into these two universities? |
