Alusiizizi:

No, it takes an incredibly stupid and naive man like Biden to do this. US economy will suffer no doubt and 3% of USA consumption will not even put a dent in Russian oil/gas exports. I would have dismissed this stunt as a useless gesture if it did not come with dire economic consequences for the American economy.
Loss of 3% market share is what I'd call a dent. And remember Canada has banned also. A few parts of Europe may ban also. By then it is no longer a dent on Russia but a massive bash.

Actually, the Russians could have still gotten away with this by reorganizing trade and selling to another country which would lose a supplier once the US looks to buy elsewhere. However, the US is already countering this by lifting embargo on Venezuela. They may lift embargo on Iran and Syria.

Given influence with gulf economies, they could get OPEC to pump and meet demand. And Russia would really be toast.

UK is not Ukraine. It can't really be attacked by land except Russia is willing to invade multiple European countries to get to Britain at which their military would have been so annihilated the remainder would be piecemeal for the brits to tear apart.

Russia can only attack Britain through sea in conjuction with its naval airforce. I presume the brits would tear Russia to pieces on a naval war. The UK airforce is far superior especially with the delivery of F35s from the US and the newly developed HMS aircraft carrier

Russia has enough nukes to end the world, but UK has enough nukes to end Russia - which is all it needs.

Israel failed Ukraine. Ukraine many months ago had begged the US to give them the Iron domes the US already paid for from Israel, in addition to US patriot missiles.

However, the Israelis for concern of bad blood that the sale could cause between Russia and Israel over particularly Israeli raids in Syria requested the US to decline giving the system to Ukraine.

Instead of the US to then supply the more expensive patriots system, it further threw Ukraine under the bus by not supplying any at all. If there were properly situated Iron domes in place in Ukraine most of Russia's missiles would have been countered because the Iron dome receives more saturation from Hamas and still holds steady.

I hope these Finnish guys would buy now before war breaks out. Israelis don't sell weapons during war.

This is not a matter of Russia being a pariah state, there are lots of pariah states in the world if you care to know, One of them is Isreal, another is North Korea the list goes on. When a country's national security is threatened, international statutes and conventions. If you are to follow international law, then the entire Isreali Army are war criminals. But there is also a factor that allows pariah states to escape crimes with impunity is when they are either world powers or back by other world powers

Tell me exactly how the Israelis fit into the definition of war criminals

Putin has turned Russia into a pariah state. His only hope is to takeover kyiv as quickly as possible. If he doesn't within a month. Russia's economy would be highly damaged.

First and foremost Sputnik is a propaganda outlet of the Russian federation. And it is desperately shopping for news that lends credence to the invasion of Ukraine.

On the merit of the discussion the MP laid down. It wasn't the west that triggered the discussion about Ukraine joining NATO. It was Russia through its interference in Ukrainian politics, support of secessionist in the Dombass region and the annexation of Crimea that convinced Ukraine of the need to join NATO.

Many people are screaming blah blah blah about how America wouldn't have tolerated Russian bases in Mexico or Cuba. But ask yourself, in what ways has the USA jeopardized the territorial integrity of Mexico. Is anybody in Mexico afraid the US would roll tanks into Mexico and seize territory. Or is the US interfering in the regime change of Mexico.

As crazy has Cuba was the US never occupied Cuba to depose the castros.

Putin is silly. He doesn't yet know how many countries he would have to ban in retalliation in the next few days...

The west is not serious with sanctions yet. If they are they would apply the kind of sanctions Arabs applied on Israel in addition to more stifling ones. And you would see Russia and its troops fleeing back into their country.

You don't need a military counter to stop putin, you need to focus on ruining the destiny of Russia.

The reason the west fails to hinder Russia is that there is too much humanitarian concerns in the west about targeting the Russian people.

Examples of Arab sanctions on israel

1) Any international company that establishes a branch or continues to retain any presence in Russia would be banned from accessing the markets of all Western and allied countries combined. (This one bled Israel dry as it put an end to all FDI, even American companies ran away).

2) If you have a single stamp of a Russian visit on your passport. You would be denied entry into all western and allied countries.. (This would put an end to the Russian tourism industry.)

3) Russian originated flights can not cross into any NATO country plus other allies.

4) Ban Russia from swift. (Put a damage on their intl banking system).

In addition.

Have UNGA kick them out of UNSC. Through this they become useless to a lot of their allies and friends.

Refuse them participation in Fifa, Uefa, Euro and the Olympics. Through this they damage the morale of the citizenry making Russia look like a big prison.

The question is if the borrowings would bring in net positive income in the end.

When you borrow money to build a rail to Niger Republic whose economy is smaller than that of Imo state while leaving out a Lagos to Cross River rail that would more than triple gdp along that corridor then your borrowings make little sense.

Education / Adekunle Oyeyemi: Court Orders Covenant University To Pay N10m As Damages by HigherEd: 2:25pm On Oct 14, 2021
The National Industrial Court on Thursday ordered Covenant University, Ota to pay its former staff Dr. Adekunle Oyeyemi the sum of N10.3 million as general damages, terminal benefit and salary.

The judge, Justice Ayodele Obaseki-Osaghae, delivering judgment also declared that the employment termination of the claimant’s employment as wrongful and in breach of the contract of his employment.

The court ordered the payment of N8.2 million being the equivalent of his 24 months salary as general damages.

The sum of N1.7 million was ordered as terminal benefits and N344,635 being salary in lieu of notice, to be paid within 30 days.

The judge held that the University unilateral review of the claimant’s employment conversion to Senior Lecturer was wrongful.

The court stated that the action was unsolicited and was designed to make the workplace intolerable for him and force his exit.

Obaseki-Osaghae stated that there was no wrongdoing established before the court that necessitated the termination of the claimant’s appointment with immediate effect.

“The words with ‘immediate effect’ have the effect of stigmatization.

“The termination of the claimant’s employment is wrongful and not in accordance with international best practices.” the judge ruled.

From facts, the claimant, submitted that he was employed as a full time Director of the University’s Counseling Centre from Oct.1, 2007, to Nov.15, 2016, when his appointment was terminated without any misconduct.

In addition, he stated that he sent an internal memo to the Secretary of the University Board to state his position against the Board’s resolution on the issue of tenure of Principal Officers and Directors.

He further said that he got a reply letter informing him that his tenure as the Director of the Centre had come to an end and he was being redeployed to the Department of Psychology as a Senior Lecturer , which was against his terms of employment.

The claimant’s counsel, Funmi Falana, submitted that the termination of her client’s employment was done contrary to the institution’s law .

She therefore sought for an order of reinstatement amongst other reliefs.

The defendant, on its part submitted that the claimant was invited to a roundtable discussion when his service was no longer required in its counseling centre.

The University also stated that when the claimant was informed of its decision to transfer him as a Senior Lecturer on contract, he consented to the arrangement.

The University stated that it decided to retain the claimant as a Senior Lecturer on contract as a kind gesture as he was over 60 years as at the time and was due for retirement.

Explain how a CHURCH will set up a SHELL company in a TAX HAVEN where MOBSTERS, DICTATORS , THE C-RONALDOS MOURINHOS MESSI’s go to HIDE THEIR WEALTH AND AVOID PAYING TAX

Hope when FG goes after them the way the Spanish government went after Cronaldo/Messi/Mourinho/alonso etc y’all won’t complain sha

Tax evasion is a serious crime

Tax havens are not a crime, though they can be exploited for criminal purposes. Don't be silly. Google, Microsoft etc all patronize tax havens of different sorts.

The company in question is to carry the investment of Oyedepo and his family. He has the right to incorporate anywhere he desires.

As for the aircraft nonsense ,I have had cause to ask somebody if in his wisdom it was possible for anybody in Nigeria not running an airline business to maintain four aircraft.

Cross river state government that claimed to have set up an airline business doesn't have four jets

Nothing about aircraft is sold in naira and it is not designed to stay in the ground..the more it stays the more it incurs cost so why would any sensible person maintain 4
