His Privatised Telecom Policy Took Up Exceptionally Well

The NHIS Act he helped promulgate was something I like to. NHIS cover 9 million people today (they can do better btw).

While Buhari administration hasn't ended I would like to take a poll on the public's general perception of the Buhari administration in comparison to that of Olusegun Obasanjo

Kindly state your reasons as to why one is better than the other.

This is what happens when evil men are in power! Buhari is the root of this evil! If he didn't rocket sectionalism and tribalism to the highest levels as president, we would never have gotten here! It's the realisation that the man entrusted with the onerous duty of safeguarding lives and property impartially is now protecting killers that have spured the ordinary people to take up arms to defend themselves. In the end, electoral choices matter.. Handing the country over to tribal champions and ethnic jingoist for percuniary interests has once again proven a deadly alternative.
Exactly. He's only now speaking because hausas are involved.

It seems you are not even getting the picture at all

there is a very big bridge between reality and wishes

and reality is we would be roped in this if this useless govt do not find a way to curb dis and the matter excalates to the North

mehn if those northern youths don take drugs they will come after anything and everything that's not hausa fulani even the yoruba muslims will not be spared bcus in reality the common hausa fulani see yoruba practice of islam as a joke

this is reality reality reality
Everything happening is unfortunate.
Hopefully things would be resolved soon by the mannequins in govt.

What's your own if they aren't in good financial health. Is government part of the shareholders or did government borrow them money.

If not, dying is part of capitalism. The telco market is a multi billion dollar industry - let other qualified players come in.

You see country wer get sense. Why fully peg your currencies on highly manipulated dollar. The US has printed over 30% of all US dollar in circulation only in the last two years. It would export the inflation to other countries like ours.

We should start looking to crypto even nationally. It creates an even playing ground.

The same can be said about every university, whether public or private.

But it gets worse for private universities because they spoon-feed their children students, instead of allowing them explore the world within the University.

And with all the exploring the world you do at public universities, how has it helped to improve the country or the graduates.

Well there's that. Banks are always available to supply capital to well guaged investments that yield something good for both their depositors and themselves.

The opportunity I see with platforms like piggy, cowry is that they incentivise long term deposits, unlike traditional banks, so it can help grow the economy.

Are these people not already outperforming commercial banks like this?

I mean are we sure the likes of Keystone bank with a commercial banking license can perform this good?

They are going to be pain in the bumbum for commercial banks when it comes to deposits.
I advise GTbank to acquire this bank asap under their holding Co.

Or maybe piggy should just upgrade to a commercial bank. Too impressive for a microfinance.

With Nigeria tilting towards implementing technology in various areas of its economy, one would understand that various industries and companies would no longer need to depend solely on physical structures or their physical presence to carry out their business.

The Financial sector or space is beginning to accept this new addition, as fintech companies are beginning to strive in the sector, a lot of Banks and financial institutions have began to take virtual banking seriously.

With the pandemic and it's side effects, Nigerians and the world at large were made to understand and see the importance of virtual banking and also going cyber.

As physical presence was a factor to be considered, technology enabled lots of firms to carry out their business without being there physically, though the amount of money in circulation was small and a lot of financial setback backs which rocked the country happened to result in so many people starving and also sourcing for funds.

Popular Nigerian Fintech company, Piggyvest has put out a statement revealing the role they played in ensuring that their customers who saved and banked with them were not short of funds.

Piggyvest which is one of the leading Fintech companies in Nigeria, they bragged about paying over N95,000,000,000 in 2020.

Their impact truly has been felt in the fintech space and they have been able to make their customers smile, this is judging form the various feedbacks seen on their official twitter page.

Piggyvest was founded by Covenant University graduates.

PAYSTACK by Babcock. You are right about that. But that guy had been coding even before he got into Babcock.

Same with Piggyvest. Those guys did not study anything remotely connected to management or investment.

That is what I tell people. Universities don't usually make people. People develop themselves.

That is why you will have people who never graduated still becoming successful. For example, Bill Gates and Mark Zukerberg.

Anyone who thinks going to school is enough, will end up suffering.

Many people are in fields that they did not even study in school.

A co- founder of Piggyvest studied Engineering at Covenant. He later developed interest in coding, and then discovered the idea for Piggyvest on Twitter. His success has no noticeable connection to his formal education at Covenant University.
As long as you can say same for public universities, maybe I would agree.

But then let me remind you that what makes a successful venture goes way beyond technical abilities. Foresight, leadership, exploiting opportunities are also part of the success story that Covenant teaches her community.

UI is better than all you mentioned there.
Sorry, but you are wrong.

UI business school cannot match Lagos Business School. Have you seen the accreditations, research quality and faculty of LBS?

UI cannot rival African University Of Science and Technology. Ask people who could know, they'd tell you.

Assuming UI even offers Pan Atlantic courses it can't match a university that offers only

Dr. Lazarus Maigoro,

For over 7 decades that public education started in Nigeria, tell me exactly what the public education system that incubated you with a certificate worth no more than a single roll of toilet paper has benefitted the country?

What game changing patents in manufacturing, banking & finance, telecommunications have you, your students or any of your colleagues with "full brain" provided industry?

If all universities in the US are halted today, the US stock market would crash because their universities are the engines of innovation and supply of high skilled human capital.

If all public universities in Nigeria cease working for one month, the stock market won't even notice. Industry goes unconcerned. This is because you and your colleagues at ASUU actually constitute a burden to both industry and government.

You supply graduates that need retraining after four years of a retrogressive curriculum. Your value is so low priced that you can't generate your own salary through your effort except government gives you money.

The entire founding team of Paystack, PiggyVest, Quidax, ThriveAgric are from Babcock University - can you stand any of them in terms of contribution to national development?
