The way this Refinery gimmick will blow up in the faces of the APC will not be monotonous. The TAM project was supposed to go hand in hand with a deregulation of the industry- privatisation of the sector leading to sales of the refineries. The refurbishing and maintenance was to raise it to a standard fit for auction. Experts of the oil sector have stated categorically that the refineries can not be sustained publicly in the long run and that they can not meet local demand. If this supposed self appointment is the intention of the president, then he should be promptly discouraged. He has had two stints as the head of an institution in the petroleum sector. He served as minister of petroleum in the military junta headed OBJ. What mark did he make in the sector. * He oversaw the construction of Refineries that could not meet the demands of Nigerians and failed to conduct forecasts of production capacity and demand into retrospects * Under his watch, an allegation of misappropriation of the sum of 2.8 million dollars occurred He served as the head of the Petroleum Trust Fund in the military government headed by Gen Sani Abacha. What were his accolades * The institution failed to give a truely geographic spread of its programmes * There were allegations of financial recklessness and misappropriation of funds against the institution * There were allegations against him of mismanagement and negligence of duties * There were allegations of nepotism, favouritism against the institution * There were allegations of inferior and substandard construction of projects by contractors employed by the institution * There was a lack of transparency in awarding and execution of projects With this sort of résumé, I wonder why we should allow him head anything related to petroleum and also there is a little thing called the CONSTITUTION |

PassingShot:Why the change in direction, if it is proved that GEJ indeed embezzled funds and engaged in financial misappropriation he should face the full wrath of the law. The clash between the erstwhile President and the past finance minister is that of a contrast of ideas which predates the GEJ administration. The issue between both of them began in the second term of OBJ. The ex-president, OBJ could be said to be a patron of the centre right while NOI is an ardent extreme right winged proponent. While OBJ presumptuously believes in a mixed economy sloping more to the side of a centralised system, NOI believes more in a full capitalist economy controlled strictly by market forces with a light government participation. This clash of ideas saw NOI being transferred from her position as minister of finance to minister of foreign affairs. Another plausible reason for their indifference could be NOI's unflinching stance to patronise businesses affiliated to the ex-president. The Gen had for a long time- especially during his tenure- been badgering the economic minister to help out with her influence in the awarding of contracts to his companies and those of his cronies. But due to NOI's moral and financial standing, refused outrightly to waver on her decisions. This act put the ex finance minister in OBJ's black book and so the reason for his criticism of her conduct in government. The real fact is that the NOI in the previous administration displayed the same professional character as she did during the General's tenure. She is the same now, same yesterday and will still be the same tomorrow. Because she refused to flay to his avuncular hand is the reason for this unguarded unethical behaviour of the Gen. OBJ needs to grow up and realise you can't win all the battles you feature in. You should win some, lose some and even fix some. Trying to win all the time will find you with your head in your groin and your back to the ground. |

The APC's unfair political see saw structure: All through the campaigns and prior to the elections the APC ignorantly, stubbornly and clumsily flaunted its unfair and rigid antifederalist disposition. The party being based in four geopolitical zones failed to show a truely multicultural front, but rather chose to acquire the partnership of morally bankrupt and political desperate elements from the SS and SE. In the right place of debates and political bantering, they chose bribery, weak political horse trading and fake alliances. The SS and SE clearly seeing through the charade of an oblique federalist plan did what any rationalist thinking person would do by giving them a resounding rejection at the polls 9. The immoral portrait of the Party: The APC as we have already established is filled with some of the most immoral characters in the nation. Among its supporters and members are some of the most notorious Homosexuals, bisexuals, drug pushers, fraudsters, nymphomaniacs and smugglers this nation has ever seen. And adding the rumoured Gay pact with the US, was the clincher for the SS and SE to look the other way 10. The incomplete political jigsaw puzzle: The APC from its creation right to the eve of the elections stumbled from one political scandal to the other. The party made one political gaffe after the other and appeared as a satirical, mediocre joke. Among the many wondrous blunders are the top five, listed below * The fixed hypocritical primaries * The unelectable, unpopular Presidential candidate * The WAEC certificate scandal * The presidential Debate scandal * The Homosexual connection The SS and SE who are predominantly a catholic society with pragmatic dispositions could not fathom the APC as a serious political party in the holistic sense of the word and so gave it a red card at the polls 11. Lack of a clear, viable economic plan: All through the campaigns the APC failed to produce a clear cut, precise economic plan that would explain how it intended to steady the stormy economic waters in the years to come. They hobbed from one policy to another never giving a precise answer to the economic question. They flooded the media with many Willy Wonka ideas which were clearly unattainable, dodgy and outright ridiculous. The articles sponsored by them showed an economic plan comprising of contractionary, expansionary monetary policies coupled with half baked austerity measures and buttered with mismatched macro/micro economic policies. Let me help you out 6 The APC is an extreme leftist Marxists socialist party which focuses on an economy centralised to the Middle, with an oligarchic axis. The APC believe in shrinking the economy into a government controlled one which would only focus on the oil sector as a given stay of the economy. They hate small businesses and promote laziness among the youths with the hope of keeping their future in check so as to limit any form of opposition in the future. While the APC believe in all I have mentioned the SS and SE are and have always been conservatist in nature with a belief in a free market economy which focuses on SME's and capitalist wide playing fields. This prompted both regions to stick with the hard working capitalist PDP 7.The APC is known to be the retirement and social club of some of the most corrupt set of people. People who through their unintelligent and archaic policies have kept this country in shackles for decades, until the FRESH AIR resuscitation policies of GEJ.Most notable of this league of corrupt fiends are * Fashola * Tinubu * Amaechi * El rufai * Rochas Among others. 8.The APC's nagging and outright desperate political blackmailing. Its a known fact that the APC resorted to all sorts of political machinations in order to force both regions into accepting their party at the polls. Large troops of political infectious zombies were unleashed on the regions with the sole aim of spreading their socialist epidemic. In every public spot, including public buses, BRT buses, market squares, mosques, Pentecostal churches, the APC virus was spread to the populace with propaganda hate speech messages. People were told to hate the PDP and participate in its expulsion. Were coercion couldn't work, threats were issued.
