More tolerable meaning lesser punishment. And this is because they knew the truth and rejected it.

Mat 11:21 "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
Mat 11:22 "But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.

Luk 12:47 "And that servant who knew his master's will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
Luk 12:48 "But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

So the summary is, those who don't know the truth but did things worthy of condemnation will receive a lesser condemnation while those who knew the truth but chose to ignore it will receive a greater condemnation. Capisce?

Exactly the same problem most Churchgoers have with Jehovah's Witnesses!
This is one of the things i heard from Jehovah's Witnesses that lightened up my interest in the organization.
Most of you already had preconceived judgment against them, your pastors knew all these that's why they'll tell you never to listen to them, in most cases those pastors will tell you things that totally contradicts what Jesus taught for example "if anyone comes to you in the name of God ask him/her to pray first" whereas Jesus never prayed with his followers until he is convinced that they've accepted his teachings! John 17:8-9

So instead of listening to their messages you will start asking them questions in line with the things your religious thought you but when they maintain their stand on what the REALLY teach you will begin labelling them CULT, DEMONIC, EVIL, ANTICHRIST and so on.

Ken4Christ only want to here the OP say "you must be born again" so no matter how sound and scriptural the write-up as long as it doesn't correlates with what Adeboye, Oyedepo, Kumuyi and co are saying, to Ken4Christ this same write-up you're commending is "lies from the pit of hell"

There are few things we have to agree that are absolute truth.

1. No evidence for your God.
2. No evidence that a virgin can conceive without fertilization.
3. No evidence that a man can walk on water.

Loool don't worry, you won't understand. When I was much younger, I never liked the bread & mayonnaise combo, infact the sight of it had me irritated. Some of my schoolmates would bring it to school every day and the sounds they made with their mouth and then messing around with their mayo- fingers always got me infuriated.

Versus me now, I can't seem to get enough of it. When I'm done with bread & mayo, I go ahead to slice my cucumbers and spread some mayo on it. Absolutely love it.

Man is just physical body made with clay. Nothing more. The breath of life from God aka spirit gives us life.

Before JEHOVAH breath life into Adam, he was just a lifeless body lying on the ground, that was just him.

Job 33:4
[4]The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

Ecclesiastes 12:7
[7]Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

For everyone both righteous and unrighteous, wicked and good, when they die, the spirit or breath of life from God that gave them life automatically leaves them, they become lifeless, dead and return to dust.

Think of it, if Adam didn't sin he would be living forever. He would be here today, all of us would be dancing around naked eternally here on earth.

Man was created with physical body to live on earth, nothing more.

Adam wasn't a spirit being and he died. He's not existing anywhere now. It's not different for us their descendants.

Ok, so you believe that once a person dies they cease to exist?

Lazarus Jesus friend, where was he that 4 days he was dead before Jesus raised him through God's power? The grave/hell, heaven or hell fire?

Lemme remind you again. There are two different words that were translated to hell in the Greek new testament;
Hadēs which simply means grave or She'ôl or hell.
Geenna/Gehenna which means something different to Hadēs. It's the name for a dump site situated outside Jerusalem. It was only used by Jesus like 11 times in the four gospel books.
It figuratively describes a place for the wicked and sinner.

You have a lot to figure out bro.

All you've said does not explain the parable rich man and lazarus. And the Scriptures about the lake of fire in the book of revelations being a place where people are tormented day and night. The Bible clearly says that they are tormented day and night and the smoke of their torment ascends forever. It also says that the rich man was being tormented too.

What do you have to say to that? The Bible is very careful in its description of the lake of fire and even goes as far as to say that death and hades were thrown into it.

Some years ago, at Ido-Ile prayer mountain, I was fasting for self deliverance as I have been eating alot in the dream and I noticed it was affecting my spirit man. As we began serious warfare prayers, I felt a very hot hand grip my head, I got dizzy and fell to my knees. I began to vomit, I could taste what I was vomiting, it wasn't the usual repulsive cold taste, this one was very bitter. After about 2mins of vomiting, the hot hand left me and the dizziness and vomiting stopped immediately. I opened my eyes to see what I vomited, only to see that there was nothing on the floor. But I can swear that I felt it and tasted it and it was bitter. I got up and felt very very light. My spiritual life was changed from that day.

If we are supposed to seek first the kingdom of God every day (Matthew 6:33), then we should know what the kingdom of God is in the first place. I used to think that the kingdom of God was the mission fields and that to seek it meant doing missionary work.

Then, I realized that the kingdom of God was not something outside you flowing in—“the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking”, but something inside you flowing out—“righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit”.

So to seek first God’s kingdom means to make it a priority every day to have your inner man flowing with righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Righteousness is not your own righteousness based on what you do. It is not good works. It is a gift from Jesus who is your righteousness. (Romans 5:17; 1 Corinthians 1:30) God wants you to be established in the truth that you are the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

“Peace be with you” were the words that Jesus spoke to His disciples when He appeared before them after His resurrection. He also showed them His pierced hands and side. (John 20:19–20) God wants you to know that His Son’s finished work has given you peace. Your conscience can be at rest because your sin debt has been settled. You have peace with God and the peace of God.

Joy will come into your heart when you see Jesus in the scriptures, worship songs or anointed preaching. It is the same joy from the Holy Spirit which filled the disciples’ hearts when they saw Jesus, His hands and His side. (John 20:20)

So every day, make it a priority to see yourself righteous in Christ. Don’t be conscious of your sins. Instead, be conscious of your righteousness. And whether you are reading your Bible or listening to anointed preaching, see Jesus with His pierced hands and side, which speak of His finished work. See all your sins forgiven, and you will flow with peace and joy. When you do this, you are seeking the kingdom of God!
