A makeup artist Maypro.101 on instagram has explained how a client contacted her online and how she took a trip to Benin for the said job. On getting there, she discovered they were ritualists/kidnappers. She narrated her story giving all the thanks to God. What she wrote;

Ghana’s Information minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has said that three Nigerians, were arrested in connection with the kidnapping of two Canadian women in Kumasi.

Five Ghanaians were also arrested. But one of the Nigerians was the leader of the kidnapping gang, he said in a report published by Graphic.com, Ghana’s leading daily newspaper.

The three Nigerians are yet to be identified.
In an update, Nkrumah said the suspects were arrested on Wednesday morning after an operation which freed the two women who were kidnapped last week Tuesday.

According to him, no foreign intelligence/security operatives were involved in the operation which was led by the National Security of Ghana.

A 19-year-old boy, Prince Chikere, and four other kidnappers have been paraded by Imo State Police Command in Owerri for allegedly beheading three persons.

Others paraded alongside Chikere after their arrest at Obitti in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area by operatives of the Special Anti-robbery Squad, SARS, are Chibuike Oyiwara, Amuzie Uchenna and Odunze Azunna.

Also arrested in connection with the kidnap and murder case are Chibuike Oyiwara, Amuzie Uchenna and Odunze Azunna.

The state Police Commissioner, Rabiu Ladodo, has said that the arrest of the suspects alongside 94 others were the achievements of Operation Puff Adder, launched in the state.

He said: “The above named suspects were arrested by Operatives of SARS Imo State. They were arrested in connection with the beheading of three boys at Obitti in 2018.

“One of the suspects, Desmond Alozie, sustained gunshot injury on his right leg in a gun battle with operatives. He was rushed to hospital for medication where he was treated and discharged.

“One of the suspects, Chikere Prince, has confessed he belongs to Iceland cult that killed the boys.

“One locally-made double-barrelled gun with four live unexpended cartridges, 20 wraps of marijuana, large quantity of Indian hemp wrappers/paper, five roll bond used for cocaine, five lighters, two cutlasses and one black motorcycle were recovered from them.”

A 41-year-old man, Sunday Ngwu, has been arrested by Anambra State police command for allegedly killing his wife, Amara, on Ikwo Street, Ibollo, Awada, in Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.

The suspect who hails from Nkanu LGA of Enugu State, allegedly killed his 39- year-old wife after hitting her with a heavy metal object on the head at his resident on Ikwo Street, Ibollo in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Mr. Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed the incident, said that a team from divisional police Awada arrested the suspect.

A Lagos school has made it possible for parents to sleep with their eyes closed after a groundbreaking initiative launched by the school management.

This came to light after Morit International School located in Ajegunle adopted the RecyclesPay Education Project, an initiative of African Clean Up Initiative (ACI), an environmental non-governmental organisation in Lagos.

The school accepts empty plastic bottles from parents and guardians in exchange for payment of their children’s school fees.

Wecyclers, the recycling company attached to the project, comes to collect the plastic bottles after getting a substantial amount of plastic wastes. The amount given to parents is determined after weighing what each of them has brought.

The initiative was adopted to ease the burden of parents finding it hard to pay their wards’ fees.

The Rapid Response Squad, Lagos state police command, today rescued a man found to be drunk and unconscious on the street of Lagos.Hitng Reports.

He was seen along Awolowo Way, Ikeja. And immediately the officers knew something was wrong, they rushed towards him. After discovering he was drunk, they took him into their ambulance and revived him.

The police in Ogun State have arrested four suspected cultists for alleged murder of a 26-year-old man, Saibu Azeez, last Friday.

The suspects, Opeyemi Olalekan, Azeez Ologundudu, Emmanuel Omoboriowo and Anigilaje Babatunde were alleged to have stormed a birthday party at 34, Oyedele Close, Abule Lemode, Ijoko around 2am and stabbed the deceased in the stomach. They also stabbed another man in the head.

It was gathered that the party was organised by Oluwatoye Ogun at his father’s house and the suspects, in a bid to get Azeez, allegedly stabbed Ogun’s father in the head.

The suspected cultists were alleged to have attacked other people at the party with broken bottles, just to get Azeez, suspected to be a rival cult member.
Those who sustained injuries, including Azeez, were said to have been taken to hospital, but Azeez later died.

Confirming the incident, spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), said policemen from Agbado led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Aloko Amodu, responded to a distress call from the party venue.

He said investigation showed that Azeez was a suspected member of a rival cult and those who attacked him were on a likely reprisal.
“The suspects have confessed to be members of a rival cult. The body has been deposited at a morgue for autopsy.

“Police Commissioner Bashir Makama has ordered the transfer of the suspects to the homicide section for discreet investigation.

Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade -Ekeinde has narrated how she almost lost her daughter Princess Ekeinde, at barely one-year-old.


Her first daughter, Princess Ekeinde recently graduated at 22, and Omotola went down memory lane, recalling how she almost lost Princess at barely one-year-old.

She narrated:

“It all started with her running a temperature. I can’t remember how many hours anymore. She is our first child and we had not much experience. We gave her some medication, but she didn’t seem to get better. Then suddenly, she slipped into what seemed to be a coma. I panicked, we all did, even neighbours and everyone, was screaming and suggesting all sorts.

“She was clenching her teeth fiercely, then an old woman we knew in the neighborhood suggested we put a spoon and pour salt into her mouth (totally wrong move. Please do cold shower instead). We rushed her to the hospital, and at first, the doctors were a bit reluctant (I guess they thought it was a lost case). However, almost without much hurry, she was worked on and miraculously, she came back!
“We were told it was ‘high fever’ (and) it had affected her brain and she could probably not develop normally or be able to catch up with her peers. Short of saying (turning into) vegetable. As people of faith, we called on God, used proper medication and most importantly, applied extra lessons and treated her normal as others.”

Continuing, the mother of four revealed the challenges her daughter had to face because of her predicament.

At first, it was challenging. As she grew, she struggled, mostly with her sight. She couldn’t see things right in front of her! Even in school, she would be put in front and still not see.

“At every level, Princess worked extremely hard, harder than others. Always trying to prove everyone wrong, and passed. Every time we feared or doubted, she passed with flying colours and moved to the next phase! Miracles before our eyes. Today, she not only finished well from University, she also insists on going for her Masters and is conquering all her fears.”

Former BBNaija housemate, Ifu Ennada, has disclosed how and when she made her first million, stating that it was at the age of Twenty Two.


Ifu said this, following her post that N500k given to her by Soso Soberekan was not a huge amount and this elicited reactions from different people.

A weightlifter’s arm snapped in multiple places while she attempted a 110kg snatch. Gaelle Nayo Ketchanke, 30, was competing in the women’s 76kg category for France at the European Weightlifting Championships in Batumi, Georgia.

Nigerian singer and actor, Ikechukwu has warned of what will happen if any official of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) ever try to harass him the way they harass other Nigerian citizens.

A woman was rescued and a man that attempted to rape her was arrested early this morning. According to reports, the incident happened on Umdloti Beach Road at the entrance of Mt. Moreland in KZN, South Africa.

At approximately 09:05am, members of Reaction Unit South Africa arrived on scene and found an emotional female standing on the roadside. She explained that while walking to her place of employment near Umdloti Beach she was accosted by a man pushing a trolley.

Without warning he grabbed her by her shirt and dragged her more than seventy (70) meters towards a bush where she believes he intended on raping her. Her shirt was torn where he had grabbed her.
The incident was witnessed by passing motorists who contacted RUSA and requested assistance. Two motorists and a female pedestrian went to assist the victim when the suspect casually walked away. The victim pointed out the suspect who was apprehended by Reaction Officers.

During questioning he claimed that he was the victim’s brother according to tradition however she explained that he was Xhosa and he confirmed that he was Zulu. When confronted with the information the suspect could not provide a reason as to why he attacked and dragged the woman towards the bush.
He was placed under arrest and handed over to the Verulam SAPS for further investigation.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Port Harcourt’s Zonal Office on Thursday, April 11, 2019 arraigned Uchenna Samuel Nwosu (a.k.a Jackson mendez, Reagan Philips Jackson) before Justice I. M. Sani of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

He was arraigned on three-count charges bordering on internet fraud, impersonation and obtaining under false pretences contrary to Section 6 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, 2006 and punishable under section 1(3) of the same Act.

One of the count read: “That you UCHENMNA SAMUEL NWOSU (alias Jackson mendez) on or about February 2019, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court had in your possession (your email address: jacksonmendez180@gmail.com) documents containing false pretence which you knew or ought to know, contains false pretence and thereby committed an offence or an attempt to commit an offence contrary to section 6 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act 2006 and punishable under section 1 (3) of the same Act”.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges when read to him.

In view of his plea, prosecuting counsel, Samuel Chime, prayed the court to fix a date for trial.
However, defence counsel, O. E. Okpara informed the court of an application for bail for his client. The application was honoured by the court and Justice Sani granted the defendant bail in the sum of N10,000,000 (Ten Million Naira) only and one Surety in like sum.

The Surety must have a landed property within the jurisdiction of the court. The Surety’s Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) must be verified by the Court Registrar and a letter by the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Lands confirming the authenticity of the C of O. Also, the Surety must provide a verifiable address and two passport- sized photographs.

The judge also ordered that the defendant be remanded in prison custody, until he meets the bail conditions. He adjourned the matter to May 10th, 2019 for trial.

Specifically, he allegedly impersonated an American soldier in Syria to defraud Carmen Alvarez, an Americal lady of $500, being a part payment of $2,350 he requested from her in an online chat.

Yesterday, the video of a smart little girl bitterly expressing her anger after the management of her school sent her home over her parents inability to promptly pay her school fees, surfaced online.

While many people applauded the girl for her boldness and wittiness in expressing herself as well as her sheer display of determination to get educated, OAP Toke Makinwa, expressed disgust and anger at the manner in which most school authorities chose to humiliate and shame children over their parents inability to pay their fees. I am so sick to my stomach watching this. No child should be put under pressure, no child should be humiliated and made to suffer for wanting a better life. I’ve often wondered why flogging students who can’t pay or chasing them back home or in some cases publishing their names or calling them out on assembly ground is necessary, what point are you trying to prove? Embarrass their parents? Damage their self esteem, make them a laughing stock amongst their peers Of what use is this act exactly? Oh you flog or send them home so their parents can feel bad and embarrassed till they find the money right?

What is the child’s offense? Do they have a source of livelihood? Why do they have to suffer? Did they ask to be born?? It has been happening from time in memorial and I think it’s time we spoke against it.

Why dehumanize them? Why embarrass them? Why flog them when they clearly can’t work to afford the school fees? Why??! I understand schools need money, I understand that some of these schools are not government owned and need funding to stay open but this is a shame, we must do something about it.

What happened to dialogue with the parents? What happened to working out a payment plan? This young princess is the leader of tomorrow and her bravery and enthusiasm broke me, that should encourage them to nurture her and not break her down. Even if we find her confidence funny, her self esteem is being bruised by the school authorities who believe they have to flog her cos her parents can’t pay them to teach her. Sad ?

The President has declined assent to the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) Amendment Bill passed by the National Assembly.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to veto the bill was stated in a letter to the Senate which the Senate President Bukola Saraki read during Wednesday’s plenary session.
In the letter, President Buhari said the bill undermined the powers of the Minister of Petroleum.

“I am declining assent to the bill because: one, the bill in a number of important sections undermines the powers of the Honourable Minister of Petroleum and functions and responsibilities of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources,” the President stated.

He added, “Section 8 of the bill imposes a new charge on the industry of 0.5% of operation funds of oil companies for the enforcement of the environmental regulations in the petroleum sector.
“This imposition is an additional burden to the industry, particularly given that it is unclear what operation funds means for the purpose of applying the provisions of the bill.”

In another correspondence to the Senate, President Buhari asked the upper chamber to confirm the appointment of 30 nominees as chairman and commissioners of the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
