The dwindling interest youths were showing in Polytechnics (JAMB PCE Fallout) JAMB Expresses Concern Over Poor PCE Enrolment Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) yesterday expressed unhappiness over the dwindling interest youths were showing in Monotechnics, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education Matriculation Examination (PCE). JAMB Registrar, Prof. Bello Salim, raised the alarm, lamenting that technological development in the country was in grave danger if the trend was not checked. He said about 150,000 candidates were expected to sit for this year's examination this weekend, adding that "this number compare to 215,000 candidates who sat for the 2004 Poly JAMB indicates a decrease of 30.24 per cent." He said Nigerian youths were systematically shunning technical and teacher education, judging from the pattern of application for the forth-coming examination and in the last couple of years. Warning that the development, no doubt, portends great danger for the nation's quest for technological development. http://thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=25513 (username 'nairaland', password 'nairaland') |

Greet one another with a holy kiss. 2CO 13:12 Greet one another with a holy kiss. 1PE 5:14 Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be to you all who are in Christ. Why satan? It can not be, Satan is too busy to do that. Satan is a fallen arc - Angel whose duty is to examine Faithful servant of God like Job and Our lord Jesus Christ. The point is that christian look unto their pastors for moal lectures and the children of this pastors felt afterall moral lectures come from their father. Some of these pastors are crooks which the chilren copy. At the end of the day the blame is that of the SATAN |

No fight eh. Old man can not be in the market and watch a child with twisted neck at the back of his mother To.. to ...to ....if it look like proverb. Please I do not want to compromise again Who is God God is a spirit that I can not see, but clearly looking at me, He has the knowledge of everything and he can do everything. Who is ALLAH then? |
delarontus:and remember that Seun said Re: God and Allah: Are they the same? « #32 on: August 03, 2005, 05:25 PM » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It doesn't seem to have gone bad, yet. Kayode is a muslim and he's yet to declare fatwa on Nairaland. If a muslim asks me to remove this topic, and gives reasons backed by the Holy Quran, I'll remove it. |
Prophets and messengers who claim to be giving us the teachings from God to us (such as Buddha, Jesus Christ, Mohammed, Guru Nanak, etc.) have laid the foundations for the world's major religions. They have all given us a teaching that there is an afterlife and our souls go there after we die. If one does not wish to believe that Jesus Christ, Mohammed, etc. were telling us the truth about life after death, then they are left to account for their messages by one or more of the following: (1) they were suffering from some serious psychological disorder, (2) were manipulated by aliens, and/or (3) masterminded such a grand deception, the likes of which the world has never seen, for some motive or benefit which is unclear.http://lifeafterdeath.info/ Let discuss this issue in depth with our own culture if possible Babatude (Returned Father), Iyabo( mother returned from beyond) and similar names in other lands are these evidences of Life after death? |
My sisiter, How do you want God to act? Definitely not like Allah! |
How shall we enter or know we are dead and start the other life after this? Near Death Experience Medical and psychological explanations for the near death experience (NDE) have been given but they are speculative and fall short of explaining the entire phenomenon. The temporal lobe in the brain is the area where NDE's are experienced. If one doesn't believe we have a soul, then you are stuck trying to explain why we have an area of our brain which allows us to experience an NDE. Some will say it is there from an evolutionary standpoint to ease a person through the dying process. But this cannot be so because there is no survival advantage to thinking that you are leaving your body at the point of death. Possibly it is an advantage to people witnessing the death since the dying person will not appear to be struggling, although just prior to experiencing the NDE, the person is for visible practical purposes, already dead. Still this is not a trait that could be passed on in any preferential way. |
Eeh ee, Go where now? to which Place? |
hot-angel:Such person will not be able to tell, If you do not hear a the sound of a gun shot at you then the bullet is already in you. No body gets there and come back here to tell the story. |
