@emperoh
Ok. . . now I get it
Manure lost that match on purpose, afterall, they love doing stuff the hard way. wink
They could have even decided to finish top of the league unbeaten, they just chose to lose to Chavs,Wolves,'Pool and Arsenal to make the league interesting, afterall, if you guys had won it weeks earlier, there won't have been edge of the seat stuff at Ewood Park last weekend. . . .
@coogar,
travel to emirates after a trip to Germany, u talk like manchester to London is like 8 hours. To think you laughed at Arsenal when the Bus driver to 'Boro  messed us up in 07/08 grin
Of course, you could afford to lose the match, but if u had won you would have been in a far better position against Chelsea. If arsenal had lost, citeh would have been in front of us by now,If Wolves had lost to u guys, they would have been relegated by now like the hammers
@starboard,
trust that you have nothing to say, except to ride on what someone else has written.
Intelligent people yarning and you show up?

the priority was elsewhere. if this was the title-decider like the chelsea match, the result would have been different.
Hehehehe
A match in which Arsenal dominated in every statistic you can ever imagine.
Where was the priority , if I may ask?
To qualify for the CL finals when you are leading 2-0 in the first leg against a Shalke side that could have been beaten black and blue by Swansea or N' Forest?
If you had beaten Arsenal on may 1, you would have been able to play Chelsea one week later with a relaxed mind, not needing to cop all 3 points

fergie bought hernandez before the world cup. he was bought on the day bayern eliminated man utd last season. buying chicharito was a risk, a far bigger risk than buying koscielny n chamakh(players who have already proven themselves in europe).
Of course I know Chicharito was bought before the WC
DK and I were talking about footie experience.
Between you and I, Fergie would have probably sold Chicharito for double the price he was bought after his performance at the biggest stage.
all said and done, if you have never played in the EPL before, it's still a risk bringing you in!
But you can't compare a player who has played at the biggest stage and done well with someone who has played just one season in the french league with a mid table team.

@debosky
I go with (c)and a little of (d)
In past seasons, I have usually descended on AW, sometimes questioning his sanity
But, take a look at this season, dude was desperate for silverware.
He played a strong team in the Carling Cup. . . Rotated players as much as possible. . . .
Didn't rush a lotta players back from injury as he did in the past.
But. . .how was he rewarded?
Koscileny and Szezny combined to make the greatest defensive mistake in football history
9 matches to go with almost a full squad, we could only win 2 gameshuhhuh with only the league to concentrate on?
I saw Wenger do what he has never done since he came to EPL.
He laid into the team after the Bolton and Stoke games, questioning leadership and mentality in the team.
He has to ring the changes this summer and at least one marquee signing is needed.
The black scarves group is getting stronger and they were the ones that started the '6.5%. . .you are having a laugh' song yesterday.
This is a thin line and really the supporters are getting fed up

Point is Kolscieny alone had more European top flight experience more than all players manure bought added together.
dK,
Please stop this joke about player additions necessarily winning you something!
Chelsea spent 71m+ on two players mid season. ,  (one of them used to bang in goals for fun)
Spud have depth of players this season more than ever before, yet even if arsenal loses their last game, they will finish below us.
What's the total cost of players manure brought in and compare it to Arsenal?
And you conveniently foregt other areas that Arsenal were defficient

Whats the combined number of games that all Man Utd signings had and compare it to Kolscieny alone.

Never mind Chamakh and Squilacci just yet
You talked about LK6 having 6 years of european football pro experience
and I am asking where?
is it at the non-league clubs he played for or in 3rd division in France?
Quick to Forget that hernandez was at the world cup with Mexico and he's had  2 years experiece playing with the NT. . 23Apps. . .14 goals. . (He was the 'buy' of the season and even he himself, didnt think he will do that well)
Smalling has also played up to 19 matches for Fulham.
Bebehuh
he doesn't fall into the equation grin

[quoteKolscieny had 6yrs of European pro football experience, ]

and the experience was garnered where?Barcelona,Madrid, or where?
Prior to joining Arsenal, Koscileny played just 1 season in the French top division.

I still ask, Man Utd added Chicharito and Bebe(One who is playing in Europe for the first time and other barely a pro footballer) and are on the verge of winning a double
Bros, I have corrected you once before, add Smalling to that list
dayokanu:
Arsenal added Kolscieny, Squilacci and Chamakh (Who all have several years of top level European football experience) and are trophyless again.
Hehehehe grin
Thanks for reminding us. . .Koscielny won the champions league with Inter last season and was in the Barca team that beat Manure in the finals. . . 2 years ago
dayokanu:
Assuming last summer Wenger was the one who bought Bebe and Chicharito, while Fergie bought Kol, Squilacci and Chamakh, Y'all would say Man Utd spent more or bought experienced players thats why they are winning

Fourthly, can we buy from the EPLhuh
and I don't mean spent out players like Silvestre!
Maybe AW does not like upseting fellow managers, but I believe we can get very good deals even from within.
Youa lways take a huge gamble when you bring in a foreigner.
We need a wholesale change this season . . . .
IMO, the players messed up real bad this season and I would not bat an eyelid over who we decide to sell
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by HNIC(m): 11:07am On May 16, 2011
For me. . . .
I think it's time AW dumps his 'Mr. Nice' approach.
Fergie sent his wards out very early from the dressing room when they were down 0-1 against B'burn rovers at the weekend.
I can imagine his rants at them at half time.
Probably Kitkat wanted to pee and he told him to **** off and go and pee on the pitch for all he cared.
Clearly, underperforming players have gotta go.
I would rather see battling players with little skills playing for Arsenal.
Secondly, Must we always play 4-3-3?
Can we not vary this system of play, esp when the personnel to play it are not available.?
It's shocking when Bendtner comes in and you ask him to play on the lefthuhhuh
Can we revert to a 4-4-2, esp at home and get proper wingers if players like Chamakh and Bendtner are on the field?
Thirdly, this high line of defence that we play? Can't we change it or get defenders that understand it very well.
The Arsenal defence always look to play players offside, even if it's dangerous to do so!
Take a look at Bent's goals yesterday.
Disgraceful.

What's the way forward?
If you are expecting AW to be sacked,4get it
If you are expecting all the players to be sold,4get it
If you are expecting Arsenal to buy Messi,CR7,Xavi etc,4 get it.

I don't know about other gooners, but personally I set a few expectations for summer transfers to bring us up to speed to make a title challenge. The required reinforcements have never been made to the level required.
However, hope springs eternal - even if your head tells you 'our squad isn't good enough', your heart says 'anything can happen'.  cool
The desire to win the title is an aspiration renewed every season, regardless of the flaws in the squad.
Truth be told, this season was frustrating because there was no 'OuTSTANDING' team.
It was difficult predicting the outcome of any match
.For once, the players  let the manager down badly and I am expecting wholesale changes this summer.
Even AW by now, should see there are some players not good enough.BTW,I liked the way he 'dissed' the team after the Bolton and Stoke defeat.Means, he's finally seeing the light(we hope)

Ahh, Arsenal and their incredible ambition. Their fans are demanding big-money signings, their own players probably expect the same, so what's Arsene gonna do? Err, stick to parody:
'Arsene Wenger is plotting a double raid on French club Lorient to launch his summer rebuilding plans. Arsenal have made an offer to midfielder Morgan Amalfitano - a free agent - and also fancies promising French international striker Kevin Gameiro, 23.'

Worth more in which transfer market? Adebayor was bought for 25m GBP thats about $40m . Tell me any club who has made such bid for Van rap15t before or even half of that
Ade was flogged to Man city and ask Mancini what he feels now about the deal, he will tell u.Hughes just wanted to make a statement then.
Let RVP indicate he wants to leave and see how much(even with the injury record)the bids would start from.

and when did Adebayor leave arsenal FC.
Ade was sold in the summer of 2009 which effectively means RVP has only played as Arsenal's top striker for just 2 seasons(most of it injury plagued)Arsenal switched from 4-4-2 to a 4-3-3 when Ade left.
Yet you and the scummie fraternity have compared him with all sorts of out and out strikers, including Darren Bent. shocked shocked

Blown wide open. . . .
Lemme explain.
If manure had beaten Arsenal, they would have been 6 points ahead of the Chavs, meaning the match at OT wont have been a do or die one and Chelsea wouldn't have had any chance of overtaking them.
It also put arsenal back mathematically in the race because they closed the gap to 6 points. . . .
Now, it was only when Arsenal lost to Stoke, that it became mathematically impossible for Arsenal to win the league.
So, can you see that the loss by manure actually 'blew' the league wide open as at may 1,2011??
i wrote that stuff on may 1, 2011 which was true,it wasn't written a week later.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by HNIC(m): 9:49pm On May 12, 2011
Look at these idyots.
Now Adepaymemore is berra than RVP. . .
Watch out when RVP leaves Arsenal, it's then he becomes a good striker.
We are talking of RVP with Arsenal, nitwits are talking about his performance with the National Team in South Africa.
If we were to use displays in SA to judge players, some player's career should be over by now.
@DK
I was talking about DB10's performance in an Arsenal jersey not with his NT(he wasn't that prolific at Arsenal).

Whatever. . .RVP has scored more than a dozen goals, whether 90% were pens or free kicks(like it's so easy to score) all na goal.
End of. . . .
