Who are those players that are the media darlings? For example on/off pitch things are brushed away and constantly overrated?

Wayne Rooney-I'm amused how his swearing with the refs is interpreted as 'passion and you cant take it away from his game'. Also the ronaldo wink thing, i cant believe the media moved away from rooney stamping on carvalho's genitals to trying to hound ronaldo (who was to be a better player that season)

Gerrard-He along with rooney are what you called 'england golden boys',he dives but no one ever points it out. Loved by henry winter

J.Terry-Constantly presented as a great leader, captain marvel(when he can be a bully)and how chelsea suffer because he's not there. Carvalho is vastly underrated because of the english bias

Theo-He has poor games but the arsenal fans displace all the anger towards eboue (unfairly)maybe cos theo is young/english and it seems there is just a inherent wish among fans to seem him do well-which means there is a hesitancy to criticise him

Cesc-He had okish performances but people always wax lyrical-loved by the non tabloid media/journos

Zidane-This is because the legend overrides criticism. I'm referring to the WC06 final-in normal circumstances if a player headbutted you would have got blatter/world footballing outcry, but because it was zidane-and then it was Matrix, there was a less big deal

The truth is that Ade set himself up for what is happening to him.
I can imagine if he had kept silent all thru the summer when he was being linked to Barca and Milan,
He would have been getting more praise than what he's getting now.
But now the pressure is on Ade.
If he scores and Arsenal wins, It's like, 'what's the big deal,his wages have been doubled,he's worth 30 million and should be scoring goals'.
If he doesn't score and Arsenal loses, 'It will be like, you see, AW is stupid, he should have just cashed in on this blind hen and use the doe to get a better striker, 80k/week my foot'.
Let's see how he carries the weight of the club.
Honest, If Arsenal does not win anything, he will shoulder a lot of the blame.
His PR man/agent(whoever) really messed him up in the summer.
