Roy Keane is not a United manager. . . . .He reps for Sunderland. Don't mix oil and water. People are not worried about Arsenal. . . .They are sick n tired of the hype surrounding Wenger's "kids". There was a time someone said their brand of football would eventually stop global warming.
Then they should block their ears to such hype.Afterall,is it not the same press that told us tha Alladyce's football style was effective and hyped him so much that he almost became England manager Some of us who love good football knew that sooner or later, Good will triumph over Evil. What does Alladyce do these days? Anyone has got any idea! Please, look the other way when AW and his kindergaten boys are being hyped |
Cristalz:The point is that who we buy,who we play on the field(whether its a 6 yr old or a 40 yr old) as long as its legal, should be Arsenal's business and not the scummies. I still ask , Why are the scummies and the entire football fraternity worried about Arsenal? ![]() Imagine Keano who has not even started his managerial career talking thrash about Arsenal? ![]() I ponder!!! |
Apparently RVP and Gallas are injured i just hope its not serious because our lean squad cannot afford that Roy Keane is a Viewer what is his business with what is going on at Arsenal .Once a scumtwat always a scumtwatNo coach gives young players chances to flourish like Arsenal period
Roy Keane should worry more about how he will keep Sunderland in the Premiership every season(b4 he's fired) I remember Benitez towing the same line about two seasons ago going on and on about our kids when he lost 3-6 at home in the CC. What do the scummies and the haterz want? According to their silly reasoning, the kids have been the major reason why we are without trophies. They are also the same set that will say we ain't developing any of them, we are stealing them. Does AW go to the Press and tell them to write glowingly about our kids? Why are people so worried about Arsenal? I wonder who next would come up with 'Wenger poaches kids' claims ?It's a free world. You can go and poach 5 yr olds also or better still buy Pele's unborn great grand children. Rubbish ![]() |

http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,1766_4261488,00.html Many Gooners are divided when it comes to William Gallas. While some think he's a super player who has lost form and will soon regain it, some think he's past it and just picking up a fat pay check at the Emirates. If the above statement in the link above is true,I must admit it takes a man to say that. I mean, how many footballers will come out and admit they have been 'rubbish' for a while? He however attributes part of the loss of form to 'being tired'. Hope AW is listening to this WG wants a break. Let him take a holiday, probably go to Hawail or Trinidad and Tobago for a few weeks ![]() Hopefully, when he comes back, he'll be back to the WG we know |
ASL33:Just one question. ARE YOU DAREFESTUS IN DISGUISE ![]() |
mukina2:Yeah, Muki, he should go to bed. Or else, he will be late for school tomorrow. The dude hasn't even ironed his school uniform yet, he's here talking rubbish, comparing Arsenal with the Spuds. Go to bed son, Daddy wants to use the PC ![]() |
dyabman:Its like wishing the sun would not rise from the east tomorrow. ![]() |
darefestus: Now dare, you are becoming a clown. Just return to your studies and read for your exams. ![]() |
darefestus:Dude, you never cease to amaze me You wish he never comes back ![]() He ain't on loan, man. He was sold. ![]() |
Did u watch this game at all? How can u say King was isolated for most of the game?? Hull came to the Emirates to start 3 attackers. . . . . . .They were commended for that by every soccer pundit in the country.
Soccer pundits?? ![]() I hope it's not those 'arsenal hating' ones on MOTD. Really Hull got all the praises because they won. They didn't come out to play that day. I wonder what would have happenned, had Ade's goal not been disallowed! |
@ Gooners Bischoff and Sivestre will play in the reserve team tonight against Stoke City. At least, two more players have left the treatment table. |
Hull FC, anyone?? 4-3-1-2(Geovanni playing behind Daniel Cousin and Marlon King) at the Emirates. PRICELESS!!!!
I disagree, King was isolated upfront for most of the game constantly battling in the air with Gallas and Toure. The 4-3-1-2 was played in the few times they ventured forward. They played a 4-5-1 for 90% of the game. Not blaming them for it though! |
With your manager complaining about Sunderland's defensive tactics, i doubt he has got the bottle to win the league. It's not as if United and Chelsea don't play teams that park the bus in front of their goal, we bomb those buses and WIN. Why should Le Arse moan over something like that? Seriously, that man is losing it.
I have to agree with you on this. Its frustration getting the better part of AW. Sometimes, he doesn't need to explain why his team drew or lost. Just say we lost to a better team, or end it at 'We were not sharp enough'. Teams have parked buses in front of goal b4 at the emirates and we've beaten them. We didn't score until the last 10 minutes in the games between Wigan and Bolton at the emirates last season. Teams won't come and play all out attack against you or else the scores could end up being outrageous. Say 10-0 ![]() That could earn an outright sack for the manager!!! |
rasputinn:@ rasputinn There's hardly a team that sets out to play a 4-4-2 or 4-4-3 against us at the Emirates. They usually park the bus in front of the goal. Even Porto did. They only started playing after the 1st goal Most teams when playing against Arsenal, play 10 men behind the ball and always try to catch us on the break. What we haven't done against the likes of Fulham, Hull and S'land is to make our domination on the field count. Our Corner kicks(up to 8 per game) is pathetic. I see Gallas,Toure,Ade etc in the box, yet we don't make it count. If route 1 fails, why not roll the ball to someone to whack a short ![]() No one again, Rosicky is crocked. ![]() Defending set pieces too have been our problem. No one organises the defence when there is a corner kick against us. All these things need to be sorted out. |
Nothing about Arsenal has ever haunted me in the past. I see no reason why this season should be different . . . . Excuses, excuses, excuses and to think the difference between the wage bills of Man Utd and Arsenal is only 3 million pounds(pathetic)!!!
There's always a first time. ![]() Like I said earlier, I am happy, our faltering is happening at this stage in the season. It gives the manager enough opportunity to assess the team and make drastic changes. The league ain't over yet. It will be an acidic battle to the very end. |
@ darefestus, Its not written anywhere that would be champions should top their league after 7 weeks. But you guys keep shouting manure this manure that(even in the Hull City thread )and in your wisdom, you have written off Arsenal FC as early as the 7th week. I am not bugged about Dare. Its Sauron I am bothered about. What are the chances that what happened last season will happen again this season? who says Arsenal would not finish strongly this season and Manure and the rest stutter ![]() Nothing is guaranteed at this stage of the season(Like who predicted Hull would be 3rd on october 4) There is still so much to play for.(At least without the refs coming in )READ MA LIPS: ARSENAL WILL NOT WIN THE PREMIERSHIP THIS SEASON. I hope this does not come back to haunt you!!! ![]() |
HNIC:oops, I meant 8th |
@ rasputinn The news we heard after the Hull City debacle was that there would be wholesale changes to the team! but fortunately or unfortunately, we thrashed Porto 4-0(it could have been 8-0) with the same team We need a change of personnel when teams play 10 men behind the ball against us. The sense of urgency shown in the last few minutes should be shown in the first 30 minutes. The first goal always matter a lot and disrupts the opposing team's pattern. Watch the Porto game again, they set out to play defensive, but all that went up in smoke as soon as we scored! |
@ dare Of course I know you have a game in hand. But aren't you guys the champions? You should be topping the table with a game in hand ![]() but unfortunately you are 7th ![]() You and Sauron are acting like the league ended yesterday evening!!!! |
Rob Styles/Steve Bennett are United's worst referees . . . . .Bennett has sent Ronaldo off TWICE in the last 3 seasons. Mr Styles have waived off glaring penalty shouts that would make Collina question Rob's qualifications Were Styles/Bennett involved in the last Champions league United won in Europe? Or European referees are also involved?? Your theory is baseless. . . . . .We play the best footie in the country, that was evident on saturday against the Blackies.
@Sauron, Those guys may have been your worst referees in the past, but not any more. ![]() They have certainly been the 12th man in the last two manure matches. I wonder if any of those two would be called upon when u play West Brom ![]() Poor West Brom. What's even the gloating about? You haven't won anything yet!!! and you ain't in top 7. ![]() |
@ Sauron, Its only week 7. Like you always say, its a marathon and not a sprint. Its a long way to go. Which cookie has crumbled anyway? 4 points off the pace despite dropping an incredible 8 points, with over 30 games to play!!! There is also no guarantee that Manure will win the game in hand. OOps, just forgot that its possible if Rob 'Robber' Styles or Steve'manc supporter' Benett are appointed as referees!!! |
@ Cesc 04, I am with you on this one as well. I think Vela is ready. I was overjoyed when I heard we had signed this dude after the u17 world cup then. The guy, more or less, singlehandedly won the cup for Mexico and he's class! Why AW feels otherwise, I don't know. As per substitutions, AW is even better now, at least his first change comes up around the 60th minute. In times past, he substitutes players when its like 10 minutes to go. Remember when Kanu used to come in for Bergkamp!!! .I think we are going through our own bad patch. Other teams will experience theirs too. I will rather we have our own now, compared to us breaking down when the season is almost over!!! |
@Gooners, I was beginning to think of how uninteresting the next two weeks would be till I stumbled on this on the net. Quite funny. I really like the sense of humour in the midst of this average start to the season. Once more into the Interlull we go, dear friends. Our next game of football is on Saturday October 18th at 3pm. I ask you, in all seriousness, what the buggering Bleep are we supposed to do until then? With only the late point against Sunderland to sustain us as well. That's like sending us on an expedition to the antarctic with just a half packet of Carr's water biscuits and a small piece of brie. What are we going to talk about? Well, I've come up with some topics for discussion: 1.)Theo's sideburns, cool or hirsute extravagance? 2.)Who would win in a fight to the death between Eboue and a really cross Koala? 3.)How the birth of William Gallas brought about the latest global recession 4.)Guess how many beads are in Bacary Sagna's dreads 5.)Is thinking you're a much better player than you are a good thing or a bad thing? In footballing circles this is known as the Adebayor factor 6.)Denilson, is it really hair or does someone paint his head? 7.)Who will score a wonder goal against us next? 8.)Does Arsene need a new number 2? And should it be Macho Man Randy Savage? 9.)If Cesc Fabregas stuck his hand in the fire would you do it too? 10.)Carlos Vela, proof that refried beans are vital for a footballer's progression or simply a freak of nature? 11.)Who will play for Arsenal first? Diaby, Rosicky, a sickly baby currently in an incubator in Great Ormond Street hospital. 12.)Why the 'Wonder of you' anthem should be replaced by 'Smells like teen spirit'. 13.)Jack Wilshere has become the most pube free footballer to score for Arsenal. Is this good or bad? So that should be plenty to get us through until about 11am this morning. After that I really don't know. I suppose I could mention Sp*rs getting beaten by Hull yesterday but seeing as we got beaten by Hull last week it'd be a bit lame. Plus getting your kicks at the expense of others is all well and good when you're sitting pretty yourself but we're not really at the moment so I won't. I see Adebayor has quit Togo so he can concentrate on Arsenal. I suppose that's a good thing although his complete lack of interest in celebrating our goal the other day was a bit weird. Check the pictures - what's up with him? Anyway, that's about that for this morning. There's little or no news, as you might imagine, so buckle up and get ready for the ride of your life. Sorry, I mean settle down in your old armchair with only one TV channel to watch for the next 12 days or so. And that TV channel is showing repeats of Heartbeat over and over and over again. |
darefestus:Talk of morbid fear!!! Obviously, you have not gotten over the double done against you last season ![]() |
chessguru:Reading and Wigan easily come to mind. But let's face it. Its week 7. 31 weeks to go. A quarter of the matches haven't even been played. It's too early to even say Hull won't be relegated!!! What happens if they lose Geo, Cousin, Boateng etc? ![]() Though, its a breath of fresh air. Who could have predicted victories for them in North London ![]() |
mystikal:I have watched the match again and when I listened to AW's after match comments,I now know why he opted for that formation. He had watched Sunderland's previous matches and saw them as an 'attacking side'. My grouse with him is that, he should have changed formation at half time when he saw that Sunderland came out to play 4-5-1,leaving Cisse isolated upfront. I mean, pull out Denilson(who was really poor), bring on Nasri and push RVP further up! Also,I think AW is trying not to rush Vela. He also used Eduardo in the CC, before he started introducing him to the mainstream. I think Vela would be a hit at the emirates sooner than later. @ Dayo and Festus Please, continue your comments on the Spuds thread.Stop desecrating this thread. Who cares? |
Now Cristalz. Did Vidic elbow the Goalie or not? ![]() |
Let's be frank. The league would be tough this season. See Blackburn tapping footie. |
I can see d diving show has started again!!!! Go CR7 Go! just don't break your leg |
why didn't Nasri start ahead of Denilson?
|
@ david Watch the replays again. I insist. The ball did not cross the line. The darn rule says that, the ball goes off, when the ball is completely outside play(100%) I have watched it again. It didnt cross the line. I am for video technology |
