Diaby is quite offensive and loves to take on players, He had an excellent game against Chelsea earlier in the year in the Carlings Cup final,
My worry yesterday huh huh was when those changes were made, we became disorganised and were on the back foot once again,
Great first half though, but the 2nd half wasn't good enough,
Anyway, news coming in says the remaining 3 in the golden quartet could be fit for Sunday, and RVPersie, the quality has always been there, Hope he's in his best element on Sunday, Bring on the Chavs please!

@ Ruudie

That worthless bench and that useless Eduardo are members of the Arsenal who are currently leaders in the EPL, EDuardo has scored 5 goals this season  as against how many scored by Aliaderre, huh huh huh

Meanwhile, breaking news shocked shocked: Aliaderre has just been invited to the French National team on the back of that 'one-in-a-million' performance against his old club. He's to take the place of Henry in the squad,
Aliaderre my foot(the left one)

@ Chuckdee4

I agree with you totally,

Lauren got injured, Eboue stepped in at right-back and became a member of the starting 11

Ashley Cole came in, Silvinho had to sit on the bench.

That's just football, no sentiments, U play with your best 11 and u need a big squad to challenge,

Earlier in the season, there were moans from some players about not playing and wanting to leave in January, Injury

to 1st team players have pushed them to the fore-front, I am sure AW is taking note!!! grin grin

Good result at Marseille,
Watched the match as a neutral and Liverpool's professional performance was commendable.
4-0 drubbing at home is not an easy feat!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by HNIC(m): 9:53am On Dec 12, 2007
I disagree with you.
Tell me a top manager who isn't proud or stubborn. Is it Sir Alex,Jose mourinho,Benitez or the Capellos and Lippi of this worldhuh, Aime Jacquet dropped two of the best french players ever,Cantona and Ginola and still won the 1998 world cup, I don't think we have not won the league since 2004 due to his stubborness, We were just not good enough! simple,
Give props to Flamini, my man, Was he not playing amongst the best when he used to run around like a headless chicken in the past?Fllamini has played very well, this season, please watch our matches again, His good play has allowed Cesc to bomb forward and score important goals, I feel sorry for Gilberto but LOL, Arsenal is bigger than Gilberto, Meanwhile which would u have prefered?, Gilberto and Lehman playing and we are 4th/5th on the table or Flamini and Almunia deputizing and we are on tophuh huh, I will take the latter.
I find it strange that I am singing Flamini's praises, I was really never impressed, but now that he's doing the job, why not, grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by HNIC(m): 8:43am On Dec 12, 2007
@ I-man
With due respect, I think u should concentrate on the mancs and worry about sunday's match with in-form L'pool,
Your analysis of Gilberto/Flamini, i must say, holds no water at all, embarassed embarassed
Back in August, Flamini literally handed in a transfer request and my God, majority of gooners would have been happy to contribute money for his ticket back to France, We used to say thus 'Flamini runs around the field like a headless chicken , no guile, no skill, shouldn't be in an Arsenal shirt',
Gilberto then returns late from COPA America,, He was given 3 weeks off, Flamini replaced him and the rest is history,
FLAMINI has been excellent in Gilberto's role since the 1st match against Fulham, and that's the bitter truth,
I am sorry for Gilberto because he doesn't deserve all these he's getting, as a good player can't turn bad overnight.
He was probably our best player last season as He scored vital goals and led the team well in TH14's absence.
My anger with you is that instead of commending Wenger for daring to play Flamini and believing in him, u are questioning his man management skills huh huh,
The Stupid English tabloids have tried their best to destablize us by saying Gilberto wants to leave(almost sounding like a broken record)yet He says he wants to stay and fight for a place, We all should commend Gilberto for his professional attitude unlike Lehman.Imagine if Gilberto was an English player!!!!!
You also mention him being benched due to some off field issues, I laugh, Since you have moles in the Arsenal camp, please enlighten us more about the off-field issues, sad sad,
AW pulled another one out of the hat by creating extra competition in the defensive midfield area, He gets judged based on the results he churns out, not on who he fields to play.(why are people being jumpy?LOL we are still in all competitions and are topping the table),
I am never really bothered about who is playing, AW is being paid good money to worry about that, We all have our favourite players, but we dont work with the team,
Gilberto has lost some confidence but I am backing him to challenge for his place and if he thinks its ok to leave, then I wish him well.
Flamini is doing the job(LOL, he's even scoring goals)and the Americans say'if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it'.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by HNIC(m): 5:45pm On Dec 11, 2007
With due respect, Eduardo has scored 5 goals so far and only Ade,Van Persie and Fab4 are ahead of him as Arsenal's top scorers, No doubt he hasn't been a hit yet, but it can't be easy for him considering the fact that he isn't being played as a striker, but as a left sided midfielder!!!,
I don't want to rate him yet, It took a long time for Bergkamp10,Henry and Pires to settle, and they came out good later.

@ marlet,
once again, very brilliant assessment,
I am not opposed to a big squad, Injuries will play their part sooner or later,
None of the players screaming that 'they want to play or they are leaving' have done nothing so far,
some players also think ,come what may, the position is reserved for them, This shouldn't be so
AW, more players in please, in January!!!

Nice one,
We are all disappointed in the performance at Boro, We should be beating teams like Boro but home and away
But these kind of things do happen,
I am optimistic about Sunday's match irrespective of the 11 on parade, Its a London derby and its gonna be a war!,
At Stamford Bridge last season(around the same time), Ade played alone upfront(No Henry and RVP), It took a late Essien screamer to prevent the Blues from losing at home,
Derbies are wars and I expect Arsenal to come out unscathed in this one, Go Gunners!

Finally, peace reigns, We've got Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday, we shoulkd win this one but we must keep an eye on the other match, Slavia vs Seville, Seville was in fine form over the weekend.

For the records only,
Almunia has since denied that he ever thought of the idea of playing for England. He declared that he was a 'proud spaniard'
When wenger was asked about it, He actually laughed and said Almunia is not wishing to play for England,

As ususal, those tabloids would come out with anything to sell their goods, even wishing that a spaniard will naturalise to solve the English goalkeeping problems, Nigeria could dash them Dele Ayenugba or Austin Ejide!!! grin grin grin

@ Nateevs,

Eboue did not even start out as a defender, He started playing as Arsenal's right back when it took forever for Mr Lauren to recover from his injury, He did well as a right back in the 2005/2006 season which culminated in his being selected in the UEFA CL team of the season as the most outstanding right back in the tournament.
However, he had an average performance last season, I ain't the Manager, but AW must have thought, that Eh, since this guy likes to bomb forward and forget his defensive duties, why not push him out as a right sided midfielder and bring on a quality right back that defends well and can also join the attack, Hence Sagna was brought in,
In the Carlings Cup, Song will partner Senderos if KT and WG don't play, not Eboue, I repeat, even with injuries to all our defenders, u will most likely see Adebayor starting as a Centre Back before Eboue grin grin grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by HNIC(m): 1:49pm On Dec 10, 2007
@ Nateevs

Ok, Eboue will play as a Centre Back when Toure and Gallas gets injured.(He played therea couple of times in training and was even better than KT and WG huh huh.He will partner Phillippe Sendoros or Generous like u call him, In fact, AW will give him  the captain's arm band, we will then go on to lose all the remaining league fixtures, Your analysis will then be considered right, we will Clap our hands for you, even give you a chieftancy title,
Eboue at Centre Back my foot(the left one)!!!!
What won't we read herehuh huh huh
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by HNIC(m): 12:42pm On Dec 10, 2007
@ nateevs,

After your analysis on Arsenal, about what will happen during the ANC when Toure and Eboue leaves,I would have sworn u work directly with AW,
1.) Who told you that Senderos would step in as soon as Kolo leaveshuh huh huh huh, Why do u think Djorou is on loan at Birmingham till January?
2.) You said Eboue could likely come in at Centre Back when 'overworked' Gallas gets injured, huh huh huh, Do u watch Arsenal's matches at all? When have you seen Eboue play at Centre Backhuh huh, Maybe u should suggest also that if Clichy gets injured,Lehman could fill in, grin grin grin grin grin,

Not surprised though, the loss at Boro is causing all this wild bursts, even analysing Arsenal after Kolo leaves for 6 weeks in January huh huh, like u are so certain that Arsenal wont buy when the window opens, embarassed embarassed embarassed
Keep the analysis coming, Its the price the Arsenal pays for being at the top, cool cool cool

after one loss since April huh huh huh, We've played how many matches and scored how many goals without him,

I am not surprised, Next is em em, Re sign-Bergkamp,Vieira,Ian Wright etc, We will win the title when we do that,

Gosh I can't stop laughing each time I come here grin grin grin grin

Now the rantings are back, huh huh
The boys are young and inexperienced(yet they lead the table almost halfway thru the season)
The boys are tired.

LOL, we still the top table as at 9-12-07, (The predictions were that by now, we will be grappling with Everton,Pompey and Blackeye Rovers for UEFA cup spot),
We have exceeded all expectations and made the pundits look like complete fools who should resign and maybe learn a new trade!!! grin grin grin,

Yeah, a really testing month, RVP and Flamini should be fit for Chelseas as reports have it that, they are back in training, but I am worried about Cesc and Hleb, cry cry cry
Even Southgate said that, they were able to have a go @ Arsenal because those two players were unavailable. lipsrsealed
All in all, if we pass this test, then there's no lloking back in the new year!!! cool cool cool

Good to see the forum is back,
No excuses, shocking display by Arsenal yesterday shocked shocked shocked, Probably the worst display this season,
Now the unbeaten run is over, we can get back on track,
Next game is against Steau in two days time,
We need our midfield trio back in record time, and also Robin tongue,
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by HNIC(m): 12:46pm On Dec 06, 2007
Abeg, let's leave Ade alone,
Look at the EPL top scorers chart,
Ade is leading, with 9 goals!!! tongue tongue tongue
Someone is even saying he should have scored more if not for his missed chances, embarassed embarassed embarassed
I have seen worse misses than 'ADe's' type this season,
Tevez has missed twice from 3-4 yards out this season, Inzaghi headed the ball straight into the goalie's hands from 2 yards out against Celtic, Le Sulk,.Anelka missed an open goal from about 5 yards after Reina collided with his own defender when Bolton played Liverpool, (Not saying he's better than the players mentioned, before someone starts another pointless arguement on it)
Ade is not claiming to the be the best striker in the world, Abeg leave him alone, he will(hopefully grin) get better,
For now, I will rather have him playing for Arsenal than some overpriced strikers who have done nothing in front of goal this season, No need mentioning names grin grin grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by HNIC(m): 10:31am On Dec 06, 2007
@ loyika

Please dont pay attention to the mancs,

You will wonder who is sitting on top of the premiership leading by 4 points,

An excuse, which they had about 4-5 weeks ago was that we were only playing matches at the Emirates, that we are yet to play  lots of matches away(Like we were the one that drew up the fixtures),
One of them even counted the short trips to White Hart lane and Upton Park as 'home' games, that we were still in London huh huh huh
Look at the table now, mancs have played 8 matches at home and 7 away, and right now, we have also done same,
The differencehuh?
While we have refused to lose away having played L'pool,Villa,West Ham and co, they have lost to Bolton and Man City, LOL WE've even won 4 times away as against their 3, tongue tongue tongue
They are clutching at straws right now and do more praying for Arsenal to lose, than concentrating on the next game, Even SAF is now a prayer warrior grin grin grin grin.

The Arsenal keeps marching on, Bring on Boro!!!
