There are still 9 games to go for us and the head to head games are there. The Arsenal is still in pole position.I have no doubts in my mind.I still see WG lifting the trophy come May 2008 |
I could have sworn that in football, the better team is the one that scores more goals, not the one that had the most shots at goal. I am being convinced here that 'THOUGH WE PLAYED BETTER, WE LOST', Now we are being told Utd do not have to win every trophy. Meanwhile SAF was still talking yesterday about not playing the semi-finals at Wembley, No point talking about it again, he will be watching from his bedroom and wondering how come his team ain't playing, ![]() |
ITs time to poke fun ![]() Another one bites the dust! Second straight cup loss at OT, first it was the Coventry boys, now its POMPEY!, The treble quest is over, |
Is this the same Celestine who at one time was one of the best left backs in the world? ![]() It's a shame! ![]() |
@ Chuckdee4 Flamster was super yesterday, He broke Milan's play so many times, it became embarassing .Hleb's yellow card should be rescinded. , What was the ref thinking, ok it may not have been an obvious penalty from his point of view, but why the yellow card?Even the much maligned Theo sparkled yesterday.Did u see when he tracked back to stop Kaka , and the resilience and determination he showed to chase that ball for the cross for ADE![]() and the Arsenal fans who sang thruout and made it look as if we were playing at Ashburton groove. I SALUTE |
I told Chacal yesterday that we would go through. AW said yesterday that we must do well in the very first 20 minutes to avoid being ripped apart like Milan destroyed the mancs last season, We didn't play well for 20 minutes. We made Milan look like a Bangladesh side. ![]() Yep, we kept it tight, chased every ball and my word, Fab 4, God bless u son! Now, to all dem Mancs (including Chacal) and the annoying English football press who kept asking when Ade will score his first CL goal, SHUSH ![]() Wow, still having a party, The first English side to beat Milan at the San siro, We knocked out the defending Champs, I remember when this fixture was released and all kinds of people were in here to say, KAKA will destroy us,Gattuso will break legs,PIrlo and Seedorf will 'run' things, My word, They have started singing different tunes, The first text message I received from a manc said 'You guys shouldn't be too happy, you beat a tired and old Milan team. ![]() We were talking about Nov 2003 bashing of Inter yesterday and some folks here thought we 've had a fair share of French wine, Did u see d look on Ancelotti's face? LOL, if there will ever be a 39th Match in the EPL, The Arsenal should play at the San siro, Why?It has been a graveyard for English teams, fans always walk out with heads bowed, but for us, its our home.We just refuse to lose on the hallowed grounds, I am taking a break and returning to my celebrations, ![]() |
@ Chacal Our Jekyll and hyde performances in the last one month would come to fore again tonite. I saw our game against Milan again last nite and it was one of our best games this season. We just didn't take our chances. It will be 'De ja vu' tonite but with a difference, No draws, We are winning, The Arsenal would triumph! |
Every team playing today is still in IT, including Celtic. ![]() We all know it ain't easy to place a bet on any Champions league match. One mistake and it's all over. ![]() The Arsenal is up for it today and we can make history in Milan tonight. ![]() I expect Milan to come out and 'play' today unlike the formation of 2 weeks ago. Like AW said, the first 20 minutes are very important, (The mancs were ripped apart by Milan in the first 20 minutes last season!) ![]() Keep it tight,be more precise at goal and chase every ball. The Arsenal will be there. TH14 played one of his best matches in an Arsenal shirt in 2003, when he scored twice at the San siro against Inter Who would run the show tonight? Will it be Ade(who I think is bogged down by the silly statistic of not having scored a CL goal yet) or Cesc or RVPersie, Well we shall know tonite, Come on Arsenal! |
@ Chidichris AW has since retracted his statement and even Birmingham players/fans admit he said it in the heat of the moment,so what's your stress? Also, Hunt received death threats because of that incident and my word, Mourinho moaned about it all thru the season.Cech wears a face guard(hope that's the name) till today, Maybe Dudu too should wear a protective stuff too on his ankle, when he comes back .U guys should leave Arsenal alone. Larson was our boy, so also was Muamba and Bendtner was there on loan.WE have had a good relationship with Birmingham.AW said it in the heat of the moment.Y'all should leave the PROF alone |
@ Debosky Bendtner can go on to be a super player. He has a good eye for goal and he's got a great leap in the box(The goal against Spurs in the league a few weeks back). His hold up play is also very good. The only problem he has is that he doesn't work hard for the team,u know, like helping out when we need all the players to track back and defend. My only problem with the front line is, 'WHY THE HECK DOES HLEB MAKE ONE MORE PASS WHEN HE CAN PULL THE TRIGGER'. , It's so bad that even when I see him in front of goal(with the goalie beaten),i still expect a pass from him .He could do with scoring more goals. He's by far, one of the most creative players, not just in Arsenal but in the entire EPL, WE need ROS and RVP back as soon as possible. We are still marching on! |
Get well soon Dudu. Just when he was showing us what a cold blooded striker he could be. RVP should soon be back Its crunch time and I believe this current squad is up to it! |
San siro will only explode, if those Al-Queda boys appear in Milan, Ain't nothing happening, |
Just wondering,my manc friends Why does Wes Brown wanna leave? and not listening to any new contract offer. He's been a faithful servant and it looked like he was gonna retire at Man utd |
@ Ritchboy. I am also having a laugh. I can't remember any Milan player(except the defence line) that played above average on wednesday and they were all present, Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka(did he play ),boy Pato, etcThe duel is a few days away. Ask me why Ancelotti was smiling ??Come on, any manager would smile at having survived Arsenal's onslaught, at least till another fornight. My dear, he would be back to the drawing board as we speak, after the first league, I am sure he has changed his mind about THE ARSENAL. For now, Birmingham comes next on saturday, and we must win! |
Game on, It was so sad that it ended in a draw, (how did Ade's header not go in) All to play for in the second leg, We ain't scared of san siro at all. Chacal made mention of Dida coming back, Boy, I will be delighted, Bet if Dida had been in goal yesterday, he might have spilled one or two shots and we'll be smiling now Bring on Dida, Bring on Inzaghi,Bring on Milan, We ain't scared. |
@ dayokanu are u judging the Arsenal(table toppers, leading by 5 points) by that shambolic display on saturday, ![]() Don't be deceived!!! Don't say I didn't warn you |
@ Coded guy You are beginning to sound like a broken record, Blah blah blah, we have been hearing that all season, Catch up is what everyone will play with us this season, |
@dayokanu Haba, I was only joking about the 'BRISTOL CITY' thing, But wait, we have lost 0-4 to the mancs, What do we do? KILL ourselves ? ![]() Wow, we are out of two competitions and there are still two left to compete for. Its been a wonderful season so far, We have come back from this kind of defeat twice this season, this won't be an exception! |
It was embarassing, Chacal, I almost stopped watching ![]() I am not in any way really, comparing the two results. We were pathetic. But still nothing will count until there is a silverware in the cabinet. No one has won anything yet, though as per braging rights, yep, u guys have got it this season! |
Bristol City********* |
Chacal:Chacal, same thing u said when we lost to Spurs. What I meant is that, of what use is it for Spurs to thrash Arsenal 6-2(aggregate) and then lose the final of the milk cup and of what use is the mancs 'thrashing' of Arsenal if they are bundled out in the next round,by, maybe, Briatol City .I can remember when we gunners were gloating over beaten u guys home and away last season and u guys kept saying, 'of what use is it when we finished 4th and about 20 points behind the champions' If we go by that logic, that winning a trophy is what counts and not beaten everyone black and blue and losing in the final, then my theory holds. |
Let's be frank. We didn't turn up. SAF was smart to have dropped Giggs and Scholes, as Nani,Park and Anderson were up to the task. Hoyte and Traore Was it that they were poor on saturday or they have been poor all season?Gilberto was not there, the whole team just wasn;t up for it. Let's be frank again, Whichever of the mancs coming here to gloat saw that scandalous scoreline. ![]() Even SAF was shocked, Even the players, Rio and co were shell shocked at how easy it was, ![]() Everyone predicted a close tie, ![]() One set of players just didn't turn up, ![]() The Arsenal will be back, surely, ![]() Just like Debosky said, It 's like a blesing in disguise, less matches to play, fitter players, concentration on the big pies(epl and cl) It's better to go out of the FA cup now than in the semis or the final itself. ![]() Really, in a few years time, we'll remember the winners of the FA cup and not the 5th round matches .All in all, the mancs progress, we are out, Wednesday is another date. The Arsenal will be back!!! |
AW says we are down to bare bones, Hope we can get something out of OT, at least the african boys are back, |
@ Debosky You are right. They were poor in the league last season but won the CL, so their present form is nothing to go by, We should approach the match the same way we approached the match against JUve two seasons ago, All out attack from the blast of the whistle and no spaces in the middle for their midfielders. I see us winning by 2-0, hopefully |
I can see there is a new scum in the house, Clutching at straws seems to be the new passion of the mancs. Reminding everyone about the past ![]() |
@ ayusman16 Thanks a lot |
The RED AND WHITE army is marching on. The Gunners game me a birthday gift (Today is my birthday). Brad Friedel wanted to spoil the party, But Senderos and Adebayor were up to the task, I am amazed at the reviews Ade is getting these days, I even heard from the grapevine, that he is in line for the Player of the Season, Hard work can surely take you places, Well, for now the song on my lips remains the one sung all night at the Emirates yesterday, OH ADEBAYOR, OH ADEBAYOR(3ce) The Guns won't stop blazing, Will they ![]() |
On a lighter note. Is Lehmann using jazz now? ![]() First Almunia injured his thumb, now he's down with flu!!! ![]() What next for Almunia?blurred vision ![]() Abeg, all these injuries should stop, We need our full arsenal for the latter part of the season |
Oh mine. I have never seen the mancs play so poorly, ![]() It wasn't just C.Ronaldo, The entire team just didn't show up. Only Tevez looked like a player that was 'interested'. Our only loss yet at the Emirates was against West Ham, and the Arsenal fought till the last whistle was blown. Anyway, this gives us a chance to go 5 points clear and let every one be watching our behind ![]() |
@ Vieira The mancs should worry about the derby with Citeh this weekend and leave us alone, haba! ![]() When we were second for a few weeks, they didn't let us be.Now that we are first, they keep predicting we will drop points, (Like they won't also). ![]() To divert attention from the fact that they are behind us, they keep comparing players, ![]() anderson is better than fabregas tevez is better than Adebayor Ronaldo is the greatest player the world has ever seen, bla bla bla The fact remains that its 08/02/08, and The Arsenal is leading the table with 2 points. We havent won yet, but we are in pole position to do it. ![]() |
Why are these mancs going on and on about the defeat at WHL? ![]() WE beat Spurs home and away in the league, which I would take more than a place in the Milk Cup Final, ![]() I think it hurts though , They coughed out about 50 million quid last summer and the talk was how they would be sitting on top comfortably by now and Arsenal that was 'stingy' would be about 6 positions below them, Sorry guys, It's not going your way!!! |
