After holding the ball,he shoulda been clever and bought time by holding on to the ball while attempting to argue with the ref,or he could throw the ball away in annoyance, this will allow his defenders to fall back to position and defend the 6 yard box,he's just a ninny.PRONTO
Would have earned him a yellow card
Watch it again
Ref took the ball forcefully from him and gave it to the Porto player
Unbelievable

and Big Sol . . . . .
Fairy tale, from Nott County to CL footie grin
We need to calm down and go for the kill in the 2nd half
Fab4 should have known he will be the target in this tie, he should relax and not get involved

His absence or presence has no bearing on Arsenal's title dreams. He is yet to score 12 league goals in his pathetic career.[/quote]Scummie reasoning as usual.
Ok to say loss of Vidic/Rio cost Manure 6 points yet loss of RVP(a player that was Barclays player of the month in OCT'09, days before the injury)did not cost Arsenal points.

Arsenal: Lehmann, Lauren, Toure, Cygan, Clichy (Cole 83), Ljungberg (Van Persie 76), Vieira, Edu (Flamini 36), Pires, Reyes, Henry.

Tell me why this line-up that is one of the greatest in Arsenals history was mauled without Ballack and Deisler. Bayern didnt even break a sweat.
Lemme guess your response, There was no Bendtner in the team or Walcott was still in Junior high.

Amazing or an all too often occurring excuse?

Time will tell.

PS - Utd are missing Giggs, Vidic and Anderson among others and are 'still competing' too.

When we learn to have a squad big enough to progress regardless of our ever occuring injuries or get to the root of persistent injuries by our players, then we will have a true chance at greatness.

It is no coincidence that the bulk of the invincibles team (those guys again) were able to play 30+ games that season.
come on debo, this pessimism is getting the better of you.
My statement of us still competing was not done to eulogise the team
There are no excuses for failure really.
It's not anyone's business if your players are crocked.
I just find it amazing that we are still in any competition.
proudly9ja:
I hope we win the league but if we do, it will be more of United and \Chelsea losing it than us winning it.
