There was a fire outbreak in a phone shop at 18, Otigba street, Ikeja computer village. Properties worth millions of Naira were destroyed.
According to information gathered from a source, the fire engulfed from one of the shopping complex where phones, laptops and other electronic gadgets are sold.
Though the cause of the outbreak has not yet be known as of the time this information was published.
An eye witness revealed that the fire started with a smoke around 3:00am.

The Lagos state fire service came immediately they received the report, to stop the outbreak and police officers were drafted to the scene to protect the fire fighters, others and to stop hoodlums from looting the shops.
The outbreak was successful condoned by the fire fighters.

Mr Ikenga said, the police personnel has arrived the scene to control to incident and also prevent hoodlums from taking advantage of the situation.

FG RETALIATES, BANS AIRLINES COMING INTO NIGERIA FROM UK,CANADA AND SAUDI ARABIA
The Federal Government of Nigeria has decided to restrict Airlines coming into Nigeria from UK, CANADA and SAUDI ARABIA.
Capt. Hadi Sirika, on Sunday 12th December 2021 announced the decision taken by the federal government to restrict Airlines coming from these countries to Nigeria in order to fight them back for adding Nigeria to their red list with regards to the wide spread of omicron variant.
Sirika added that the Administration of president Mohammadu Buhari will also place the United Kingdom, Canada, Saudi Arabia on a red list of Airlines coming to Nigeria.
The minister said that if those countries placed Nigeria on their red list, they lack the moral right to have their airlines fly to Nigeria to perform commercial operations.
He added, “ there is also the case of Saudi Arabia that put Nigeria on the ban list. On Sunday, I participated in a meeting with COVID 19 task force.
” we have given our input that it is not acceptable by us. And we recommended that those Canada, uk, Saudi Arabia and Argentina also be put on the red list.
”As they did to us, if they do not allow our citizens into their countries, who are they coming as Airlines to pick from our country.
“ They are not supposed to come in. I am very sure in the next three days, Monday or Tuesday, all those countries will be put on the red list of covid-19”. The minister said.

US FIRM EQUINIX ACQIRES NIGERIAN MAINONE WITH $320 MILLION
American firm Equinix has announced on Tuesday that it will expand into the African continent by acquiring mainone with $320million.
Mainone is a data centre based in west Africa and its located in Nigeria,Ghana and cote d' ivoire.

Growth of data consumption in Africa is one of the fastest in the world. By acquiring mainone, Equinix can gain access to key internet exchanges enabling low latency to key global networks including Amazon, Microsoft apple, Google and Facebook.
Mainone generates a $60 million revenue annually.
Equinix noted that the deal with mainone is expected to close at the first quarter of 2022.
