Please how Effective is the vfs online tracking? Didn't receive text when I submitted, been relying solely on tracking. its 23 working days already and the online status is still not changed. |
Just missed a call from the embassy because I was in a meeting, what can I do aside from sending a mail to them. Also what can be the implication of missing the call. Is there any chances of them calling me back? |
This trend of filling your online application before the bank 28 days is complete so as to get early interview date. Its tricky and might cos more harm than good. While filling the online form you ll be required to fill information about ur maintainance money. If the ECO finds out u filled that information before the statement was printed, it might cause some problem. In my opinion I think its better to play strictly by the rules to avoid been bitten by the rules. Safe Peeps. I wish every1 goodluck including myself. |
Was able to talk my company into giving me a 1yr study leave as soon as my visa is out. This means when I come back I wouldn't need to hustle for job ll just resume back. Can't wait for my 15days to be complete. |
masperano: At just wise I attached only one passport photograph to my vfs form dat I submitted!some said dey attached 2 o!I submitted one too...I believe that shouldn't be a problem. There was space for only 1 on the form. |
Thanks. justwise: No. |
From my experience the interview is nothing to be scared about. Just basic questions one should know. I ve a question; I had a double sealed envelope containing my confirmation of result letter from WAEC addressed to UKBA but the lady at the counter insisted that she has to open it to reveal the content(guess for security reason) before I can submit it. She opened it & I submitted it like that, my worry is does it make d confirmation letter Void/invalid since it has been opened before it gets to the ECO? |

Seen. Thanks. |
spikes C: UKBA accepts waec, they just don't see Nigeria as an English speaking country.I feel relieved now. Thanks for this useful information. |
Pleas house. I need some1 with Authentic information to help me out. Am about to apply for my visa using WAEC, its stated on my CAS. I need to know if its true that UKBA does not accept WAEC anymore. Don't want to make any mistake. |
@hollAdapoo its very true UKBA does not accept ur Waec English as a proff of English proficiency anymore. The only way to escape IELTS or TOEFL is to apply to UK universities that would access ur English lang by themselves and include on ur CAS that they r satisfied with ur English and have awarded u a B2 English grade. If not IELtS is the way.
Justwise please kindly shed more light on this. Thanks. |
WAEC is not recognized again? How true is dis?
Quickly register for IELTS academic, its easy and u can practise online by urself @ home. I think there's a module coming up on thE 22nd of July. It would take abt 13 days for the result to be out, so start all other visa preparations now.so u meet up with sept resumption.UKBA does not recognis our WAEC English again that's why TOE is required by most schools now.
|
Kudos to justwise & every1 doing a great job here. Don't know if u guys still remember me. Its been almost year from the last time I applied for uk student visa but was refused on the grounds that WAEC didn't respond when they tried to verify my result. Anyways after differing for a year am ready to reapply. I ve d required money for 28 days (am using my acct dis time & d money ll be there till I travel cos its meant for my upkeep over there),Degree cert & transcript, in addition aside from my WAEC cert I ll be submitting WAEC print out, scratch card and sealed confirmation of result addressed to ukba(this is too avoid been refused on the same ground as last year). Also I ve paid full tution. What am not clear about is the newly introduced interview. Can anyone shed more light on this? Also suggestions, advice or opinions re welcomed. Don't want to make any mistake. |
pearls777: @holadapoo, I'm really sorry. I would have suggested an appeal since, like oyibopepper said, it seems to be a very flimsy excuse cos it's not your fault that waec didn't respond to their enquiries but I'm sure you're anxious to just get this all behind you and begin school asap. Just get in touch with school and I hope they give you a positive response. My school said no extension, appeal will take time, my best bet was to defer(which I already did). Its not a do or die affair. God has a reason for everything. Thanks |
All my docs was perfect but I was refused under d excuse that they were unable to verify my waec certificate, cos waec didn't respond to dem. My latest start date is oct 15th, am thinking of getting a sealed confirmation from waec addressed to d embassy& then re-apply.but Am considering Time factor. Any 1 with any suggestion. |
Oyibopepper: Backlog! OMG. One would think the peak/rush period for tier 4 visas was over and they would have finished with most applications by now, meaning no backlog. They really should start considering making their ECOs do overtime!!! They can pay them from the 78K we all paid. Its a lot of money!!!!I guess it has to do more with d volume of docs submitted or hw fast d ECO is, 2 of my friends applied a week after mine & already got their visas. |
Oyibopepper: Don't worry u will hear smthing tmr or atmost wednesday.I believe so too...thanks. |
To be honest the wait is killing. |

Atlantis85: Been calling BHC all day but its just been ringing through. Anyone else had/having this issue? They only pick calls between 10am-12noon, had d same issue b4 I realised. |
I have a friend who received her text on the 15th working day (11th Sept) and collected her visa the next day which was 12th September, 2012. On collecting her passport, she saw it was stamped since the 7th of September. Means this stuffs are processed faster but maybe administrative processes keep them till 15 days.
Last night after my dad told me about the withdrawal, even though he explained how important the business was. i still felt so terrible and sad. couldnt even sleep well through the night. But after reading all the response here, i feel much better and relieved. Thanks to you all for the encouragement and enlightenment. I ll just keep praying and waiting for the text. |
richeyy: @holladapooo: If your Dad moved the funds on the 15th working day then I don't think you have any cause to be worried cos the passport is usually stamped on d 12th/13th working day, just be prayerful sha. I met a lady the day I submitted my application in Ikeja, we exchanged numbers & 2 days later she called me & informed me that her mum had to move the funds in her account for business purposes. Initially she was worried but then I encouraged her & she gathered faith & prayed about it. Goodnews is, we both got our visas on the same day (15th working day). Just be prayerfulAfter reading this i felt so relieved....Thanks. |
justwise: @holladapooosigh....Thanks. At this point i guess all i got to do is to keep praying. |
).. Thanks a lot everyone... Really. May we all get the best of the 'UK experience' and oh yea distinction in our studies
