When the Lord opened my eyes to the high level scam gospel being preached today in churches I was taken aback. What I feel now is sadness as many are being decieved. While the peddlers of these 'saved to be materially rich' gospels are responsible for the most rot in our churches, the followers cannot be exonerated. We have today, Christians who are apathetic to studying the bible for themselves. Some have no inkling what the new testament grace potends. They cannot comprehend that Jesus is our model and that any idea or practice devoid of the Christ way of life is fake.

Ofcourse there is the issue of being blinded by lust and desire for riches. Folks troop to the one who tells them to part with substances inorder to access blessings. The pastors who receive these substances on behalf of God, better themselves with it and turn around to flaunt it as an example of God's blessings for their stewardship thereby cajoling the people to give more for their own blessing.
One other thing that never ceases to amaze me is the attempt to dominate the lives of the children of God with a multiplicity of ch urch programmes whose aims are to keep people latched on the particular doctrine that is being peddled. Christianity is a christlike life meant to be lived among unbelievers so that they see the beauty of Christ and be drawn to him. Rather we see a gathering of the so called Christians under these men of God praying for the annihilation of the very evil people Christ had died for. They are being led to believe that their blessings will not come until their enemies are decimated. While the old testament records of the Hebrew supremacy often provide the canon fodders for these attitude, Christ's teachings are clearly against hatred and murder, even of an enemy. Very common these days is the preoccupation with church projects. So much taxing and fund raising tactics are employed to provide money for building the house of God. While a location for brethren to fellowship once in a while is necessary, over hyping it, is unnnecessary to God. The greatest concern to Jesus is the souls of men and their body which will become temples of the holy spirit. All over Europe today are a great number of churches built in the name of God with money made through sometimes unwholesome practices. These church buildings, as beautiful as they are, have not reversed the tide of atheism in Europe today. They simply represent man's architectural and engineering prowess-as was the towerof Babel.
My earnest prayer is that God may expose the greed in us and open our eyes to the grand scheming being perpetrated by our self serving mega pastors who think they can worship both God and Mammon simultaneously.

Identify with a christian group in your locality and ask for help. Don't. I repeat, don't contemplate suicide.

Among the survivors of the great tribulation, procreation will continue, not so? The natural order of growing old will still be in place since they are still in the old body. The population could really explode in one thousand years, especially, given the security and prosperity that will abound under Christ rule. With Satan out of the way, most will live righteously. Will they then be translated instantly into immortality upon death and given a place among the saints co ruling with Christ?

This is serious indeed. These pastors are highly revered as pillars of pentecostal christianity in Nigeria. Frankly speaking, there are issues in the doctrines of the churches established by these men that negates the values of Jesus. An instance is the assumption of the title of daddy, father and so on when Jesus asked that we address God alone as such. I think repentance is required here.

Most messages today are hollow and no longer pull at the heart's strings of people towards benevolence and charity. It is all about individual prosperity and well-being that serves the flesh alone. So now, funds have to be extracted by means of the fear factor- the devourer. I also noticed that the quest to occupy positions near the top of the church pyramid has lured many pastors away from the truth

Your Pastor's response is classic0 and it proves to me so many of our church leaders know the truth about the invalidity of the tithe doctrine under the new covenant. It's mostly greed and covetousness that is making them stick to the glaringly false doctrine.

Then you have a choice and freewill to respectfully turn down the call to teach tithe against your conviction. Believe me, you will be hypocrite if you do that and Christ is against hypocrisy in His Church. Kindly tell the leadership or pastor you can't teach that subject on Sunday school next week and if asked the reason. You can discuss. It doesn't necessarily mean you leave the church except them start persecuting you anyway. You can remain there and still not practice tithing except again you want to leave on conviction.

I once raised the issue during a seminar on church doctrine. My pastor was ruffled by the questions I posed for which there were no reasonable answers, fearing our discourse might get some members pondering over the topic, he overruled me. It is known among the pastoral rank that I do not subscribe to tithing but noticing my zealousness about caring for the needy and children as well as using certain inate gifts to glorify God in the church has prevented my outright expulsion.

I suggest you start by discussing the truth that has been revealed to you about tithes to your church leadership. Though it's highly unlikely they agree with you (cause of the love for money) you would at least succeed in challenging them to re examine the scriptures on the tithe doctrine.

I am a member of a congregation that teaches and practices tithing as one of its core doctrines. Tithing is a cash cow here and full compliance is enforced by denial of privileges to any one who consistently violates this doctrine. I had been faithful in payment, wary of the 'devourer threat' from Malachi, until the full import of the new covenant of Jesus Christ dawned on me. Now I know that the truth is being suppressed just to ensure that the congregation continues to enjoy funding through tithing. I am a sunday school teacher and already cued to teach on tithing next Sunday ,exclusively, from a handbook designed to keep the truth hidden. If you were in my situation what would you do? Leaving the congregation is not an option for me yet.

In an era where folks live up to 500 years and more, it is not hard to imagine that a couple could populate a city with descendants in their life time. Note that with schooling years non existent at the time, the business of procreation begins at puberty and old age only sets in after a couple of centuries.

@Poster, it is easy to lay the blame for the lack of development of Otukpo on the elite. They are indeed a greedy bunch. From another perspective, these men are part and parcel of the society. The entire idoma people are in one way or the other responsible for the poor infrastructure. Imagine where a personal gift of a car is prefered to a collective agitation for good roads, or where employment of individuals into federal civil service is prefered to a revitalization of the rice industry in the town. Selfishness seems to be the problem. Recharge cards and fuel sell above the normal rates in Otukpo,this not the handiwork of the elites. The Idoma people must rise above personal interest and move towards the collective ones. That's my take.

Mine is a Dell icore 3 laptop. I haven't put it to use for a month but had the battery fully charged before storage. The system is now displaying 'Interactive logon initialization failure' message at start up and has been unstable. When connected to the mains, power button fails and system only powers up when battery is removed and put back. Computer no longer restarts, when asked to, simply shuts down hastily and remain so. I have been through the F buttons options. Any clue as to this problem?

The Alekwu simply punishes the husband of an adulterous wife for inaction upon learning of her infidelity. By the same token, a mother who willfuly shares her wrapper with a promiscuous daughter, especially when that daughter is bleeped on same wrapper, will be smitten by Alekwu.

If redemption for mankind came by reason of the death (Blood) of Jesus Christ on the Cross, who takes the credit for His crucifixion and death, God or Satan?
If we say God. Then, the Pharisees, high priest, Herod, Pilate, Judas Iscariot and all who were instrumental to the death are absolved of sin since they worked for God. Conversely, if we say Satan, mankind must have to be grateful to him for making it happen.

I left the catholic church when the full import of the 'immaculate conception dogma' dawned on me. The dogma seeks to elevate Mary to the status of a god by proclaiming her free from inherited sin, being the tabernacle which bore the godly child- Jesus.Behold I now attend RCCG where prosperity on earth messages are applauded. And also where numerical church growth, which translates to high financial yield, is more often emphasized than the spiritual.I am planning to bolt again but this time Heaven wards where the Holy Spirit is the Teacher-a church without walls or boundaries.
