I suggest everyone to watch world world 2 series restored in colour, to see the level of technology Royal Air Force of Britain deployed 60years ago...then compare our Airforce efforts against boko haram in Nigeria...politics, aside- you will weep for Nigeria.

Nigeria is not ready to end the war against Boko haram.

My concern here is her saying you need to give her time to clear her head...you can’t force love brother...

I think she is flirting and trying to date the new guy, so she is kind of confused..you have checked her chats and nothing, so calm down...

Go ahead with your plans with her, if and only if her head is clear and she tells you she really wants to go ahead with you, never force her, otherwise, thank your stars if she says it’s over.

All the best!

Even Albert Einstein will never solve Nigeria problem.. I pay less than 20k per month in a major city in Canada.. For 24hrs light...2 b/d

Even If NEPA begins to charge 100k per month for a one bedroom flat, there still won't be 24hrs light.. Nigeria is beyond redemption abeg..

You pay N18,000/month for 24hr light in Canada..and this includes using electric stove, oven, fridge, 4 heaters in winter..

Nigeria and Lai Mohammed will give a billion reasons why Naija can't pay same rate. Yet they are quick to compare naija with developed nation when it suits their logic.

Failed Nation..

It might be possible especially with overtime. I read an article earlier this year about a number of OC Transpo drivers who earned above $100,000 in 2019. I was shocked when I read the article. I never knew that they could earn so much like that. Their boss (transit general manager) earned $295,000 in 2019. According to the report, his salary was the second-highest in Ottawa in 2019. Since then, anytime I board a bus, I go just dey say in my mind that these people dey enjoy o. grin cheesy

Below is the link to the article.

I just shake my head reading news like these.
I mean, must there be such propaganda before you get your ass down and work!

What da heck is rebuilding Lagos?
Another avenue to loot contributed funds from private sector!

There are so many terrible roads, dirt, slums in and around Lagos that needs attention and this jamboree is what this Gov is engaging in.

In developed nations, construction happens on a daily basis, rebuilding occurs on a daily basis without such jamboree!

Bunch of heartless rulers, liars and looters.! Before you know it, they will start demanding to be addressed respectfully. Who addresses a thief and rogue with respect?

I need help as this question was asked to me by a family friend. I told the person I will post it on Nairaland and get back to her.

This is the issue:

The lady had run away from an abusive marriage in Botswana. She went to South Africa along with her 3 kids (All under 10).

From South Africa she was able to travel to Canada leaving her 3 children in Johannesburg with her sister. She was granted refugee status in Canada.

Now, she is in the process of reuniting with her children. She has applied for permanent residence for them. In this process, she is being asked to have the children father, her husband, complete the form 5604 which is a declaration from non-accompanying parent.

Not only she isn't longer in touch with him(the children father) but also she believe that trying to relocate him is pointless given that he will never agree to sign such a form. He is bound to make her life miserable in any way he can.

Any suggestion?
Readers, what first came to your mind reading this gist? Lol...

Sanchez01:

1. Soldiers truly shot at protesters and people were killed.
2. Soldiers carted away bodies that night (There are video evidences of soldiers freely walking into the midst of protesters to take away bodies).
3. We all watched how someone died during the live session of DJ Switch after being hit by a bullet.
4. Bullet shell casings were also found the next day.
5. Several were wounded and rushed to the hospital.
6. Sanwo-Olu initially said no one died but later came around to say only two persons were confirmed dead. (What killed them?).
7. The military denied ever been at the Lekki toll gate that night. As a matter of fact, they planted badges and ranks on the scene after they left.
8. If families aren't coming out, it is because they are either scared or not living close to the dead victims to even suspect they went to protest.
9. Several missing person cases took over Twitter 3 days after the Lekki onslaught and families were directed to several hospitals which took in these victims.

There is no denying that the Nigerian Army, through the soldiers, took away bodies that night, possible to reduce the outrage of the military killing unarmed protesters in modern age.

What's worse is that the event of that was premeditated and carefully executed. First, they took out cameras, then cut off power around the area to prevent people from recording their atrocities. We all saw videos of on and off the scene of that night.

Anyone with a straight head knows there is a massive cover-up attempt by the government. People were shot at; people were killed and soldiers took bodies away that night.

Sir, please are you a lawyer. Your analysis are so on point and full of intelligence. Salute.

Politics / Re: Next Step: Create A Registered Youth Party by Homextras: 11:52pm On Oct 24, 2020
For any meaningful development to begin, the south needs to first separate from the north, because our value system is very different.

They can be easily swayed by ethnic and religious loyalty as seen in the recent protests.
Politics / If These Happens Buhari Will Address The Nation Immediately. by Homextras: 3:16am On Oct 22, 2020
My opinion is that the President believes he still has the support of the northern masses/elites behind him, so he has the ethnic card like a bed for him to sleep on. This explains why he is so calm- ethnic joker card(North vs South)
Secondly, the revenue/food for him is still flowing- crude oil.

Buhari will react immediately, if suddenly riots or protests starts in Kano(his support base/bed) and two if Niger Delta Militants bring their threats to pass to start attacking oil installations/facilities.

He will address the nation immediately if these scenario plays itself out, as his base/bed is broken, and food for energy/power for him is cut off.
Another less potent threat will be from National assembly leadership, which is impossible, as those ones souls are sold out to money.

That being said, would his speech or address bring back hundreds of wasted souls? I don't think so!

Crime / Re: Katsina Vigilantes Raid Bandits Meeting Hall, Kill Many (Graphic Pics) by Homextras: 12:35pm On Oct 16, 2020
AntiBalaka:
Criminality is a human endeavour. What we take as a crime in our society is a way of life in the animal Kingdom. Stealing and murder is the way of life for Hyenas and can't be equated as a crime.

But crime has not always been in existence for primitive man operated at a level we can describe today as barbaric.

Crime came into existence when mankind began to socialise in organised groups. For there to be peaceful coexistence rules where drawn and from there the concept of crime was invented.

But it will take mankind several millennia to develop effective crime preventive measures by adopting independent authorities to punish criminals.

In primitive man, crime only existed in one dimensions involving two parties - the perpetrator and the victim which I will refer as the "first parties". Instant retribution was the only way to check crime in primitive man's world.

As man began congregating in extended groups, second parties arose as arbitrators. "First party" victims of crime will seek a "second party" to help get retribution and justice for a wrong doing he must have suffered. This thus led to a feudal state of man and it gave rise to generational warring among mankind as justice wasn't at the core at preventing crime but rather relationships and strength of affiliation of the "first parties." A prime example of this feudal state of war over injustice can still be seen among bedouin tribes.

Most societies decided early on that for society to be peaceful and crime free a "third party" who is guided by equity and fairness and who is versed in the laws ought to be appointed to arbitrate on crime. This "third party" saw the beginning of both the legislative and judiciary arms of society.

In failed states, the first cracks were first noticed when equity and justice had become eroded and compromised. Society members thus forego "third party" arbiters for "second" and "first party" solutions.

In present day Nigeria, the Buhari led FG has eroded any little confidence the people have in the security forces and courts in checking criminality and upholding the law.

When you have Fulani criminals going unchecked killing and raping across the land with no intentions whatsoever to reign them in and punish them for their heinous crime, their victims will be forced to adopt "second party" measures to protect themselves from future injustice and criminality.

As I said earlier "second party" solutions fall on securing solace and protection from powerful relations or from forming a powerful militia from people of similar bloc or relationships.

This has since seen the rise of tribal militias like the Mambilla Militia who formed tribal armies in Taraba to check the marauding fulanis whom Buhari has done nothing to check their activities.

A similar tribal militia was quickly assembled in Ife by Yorubas to check the rioting Awusa mobs who had killed a Yoruba man. The people of Ife took the laws into their hands because they knew from recent experience in Mile 12, Lagos that the security forces will not arrest the marauding Awusa mob.

Another good example of abuse of powers by the Buhari govt is the unconditional release of 5 Awusa men who beheaded an elderly Igbo trader. Buhari had earlier set the path for the release of the shameless cowards when he stated that "people should not take the laws into their hands" - meaning that he believed the woman deserved to be killed for desecration of Islam, a punishment deserving of death according to sharia law. It will then come as no surprise when the Kano state govt withdrew all charges of the perpetrators and set them free.

Since 2015, Buhari and his satanic APC are taking us back to their barbaric feudal medieval Islamic state of terror. It will then be no surprise when Nigeria soon slips into anarchy.

I wonder why this post didnt gather a million likes. Brilliant submission of the nepotism being openly exhibited by our president, thus leading to people not having confidence in the justice system and taking laws into their hands.
