Politics / Labour Party Calls For Joe Ajaero’s Arrest Amid NLC Power Struggle by Honbright(m): 3:46pm On Mar 20
Labour Party Calls for Joe Ajaero’s Arrest Amid NLC Power Struggle

Setting The Records Straight: NLC Planned Instruction Against Democracy, Coup Detat Against LP Leadership, And Joe Ajaero 2027 Presidential Ambitions: Time To Arrest Joe Ajaero is Now By The Police And DSS

(1)The attention of the Leadership of Labour party has been drawn to the invasion of Labour party National Secretariat by some NLC political Terrorists and Criminal Bandit today Wednesday the 20th day of March 2024 where they deliberately carried out wishful damage in contravention to the criminal code under the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria

(2) If you rejoice over INJUSTICE Because it FAVOURS You, one Day you shall cry for JUSTICE and it will ELUDE YOU as the law of Camma

(3)The Leadership of Labour Party is worried by the recent developments going on in the Party following the announcement of the date for the National Convention of the Party.

(4)We are worried of the move by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC Led by Comrade Ajaero to forcefully takes over the Labour Party which they have done today like a coup detat in order to overthrow our party leadership to hurriedly install their puppets in person of Mrs LADI ILIYA from the North as Ag Chairman and One Kenneth Okwonko as Ag National Secretary in order to pursue his Presidential Ambition in 2027 which can never and shall not be possible in Labour party

(5)The Joe Ajaero led Political Terrorists Organization ( NLC) are aware that there was a leadership tursel in our party which is purely our internal affairs which is before the supreme Court , we then wondered why this haste to pre determined the outcome rather than proceeding to the court to joined as necessary parties

(6) It's on records that on the 17th of April 2023 the same NLC after the FCT high court on the 5th of April 2023 restrained Bar Julius Abure as National Chairman, invaded our party National Secretariat to pass a vote of confidence on Julius Abure and at the same time referred to Alh Bashiru Lamidi Apapa as illegal National Chairman

(7) The political Terrorist Joe Ajaero said and I quote
"Today, we say enough is enough. Never again will any human being enter here under any guise, under any order. Even if we lose our leadership, we have to meet as trustees of this party to decide the next line of action,”
“For anybody to illegally declare himself either as chairman, secretary or anything, we urge all workers anywhere in the country, where you see such people, arrest them and bring them to us.

(cool Fellow party members, Julius Abure in the exercise of his right appeal the restraining order and on the 6th of March 2024 , the court of Appeal in their opinion set aside the restraining order which as leadership has also been appeal with motion for stay of execution filed before the supreme Court

(9).Joe Ajaero need to urgently explain to Nigerian why he is passing a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE AGAINST Julius Abure even NOW that the court of Appeal has lifted the restraining order

(10)Joe Ajaero has penchant for civil disobedience, arrogation of rights and privileges of other citizens to himself because, when a matter is pending before a court and in this case the supreme Court, all parties are to maintain a status quo as decided by the court of Appeal .

(11)We might have Our internal wrangling, which is normal for a growing Party like Ours, but it will then be out of Place for NLC to latch on this and completely destroy the Party and install its puppet as National Chairman of LP Party.

(12)The call for the Picketing and subsequent invasion and destruction of Labour Party National Office is illegal, archaic and not in tandem with modern democracy. Where did the NLC heard in any history of the world that Labour movement pickets a Political Party Office because of the National convention of a political Party.

(13)Our belief is that if there is any score to settle, NLC should have gone to Court and allow due process to take its course rather than coercing political Party to dance to their tunes as if they were dealing with corporate Organization.

(14).The in ordinate call for the resignation of Julius Abure and by NLC and the Former Director General of OBIDATI campaign Organization one Akin Osuntokun's amounted to asking the devil to prepare dinner for our lord Jesus Christ

(15) Nigerians are aware that this were the same characters who made sure our called to make Labour party a National political party was rebuffed because it suit them as at that time as he has always been conducting himself to be against survival of democracy with a mission to set Nigerians against the Constitutional elected Administration

(16) It's very obvious now that both Joe Ajaero and Akin Osuntokun's need mental support and evaluation of their bipolar disorder infection because while we protested against Southernization of Labour party in 2022 when we had the National Chairman, Director General, Deputy Director General, Secretary General, Director of Legal services, Director of Protocols, Accountant and Presidential candidate all from the southern part of Nigeria, the useless accusations from those democracy Assassin was that we were being sponsored by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

(17) So Joe Ajaero and Akin Osuntokun's expect.the party leadership to negotiate what they don't have since the 2027 is still very much far away by conceeding to their criminal conspiracies and demand

(18)NLC is a movement which by every standard should remain apolitical. There are thousands and one issues that affects Nigerian workers today in which the NLC has failed woefully to fight for.

(19)The set of NLC leadership as we have today is a failure who put elephant on the head and scratch for rats on the grounds. They have left the mandate in which Nigerian workers elected them to perform and seek their selfish personal needs. No wonder none of their demands is been taking seriously today by the people because we have self centered leaders at the helm of affairs

(20)The law is very clear on the formation of Labour Party and those that can be said to be its stakeholders, while we are aware of the Court Judgement that said that NLC is part of those that formed the Party, the Court does not give outright ownership of Labour Party to the NLC.

(21)Contrary to NLC claim, the 20th March 2018 judgment by Justice Gabriel Kolawole does not confer ownership of Labour Party on NLC, but gives right to all Nigerians including workers, women, and all strata of the society to be CO owners of the Party. So NLC should face the job of Labour movement and allow politicians run affairs of politics and if they want to go into politics, let those who have spirit of comradeship takes over the affairs of NLC so that the politicians among NLC Executives will leave the stage to those who can truly fight for the course of the masses.

(22) Labour Party therefore agrees in total with Nigerians who called for non partisanship of Labour movement.that it is best for the leadership of the NLC to be non-partisan.

(23)If they dabble into politics , it erodes their credibility. Once you are in a political Party and then fight for the masses , if the people know that they are in bed with a political party. Then you become a partisan voice. So let NLC served by a credible independent voice.

(24)Today there are avalanche of issues bedeviling our Nation. The hyperinflation, kidnapping, and the recent killings of 16 gallant Nigerian military officers and soldiers in Delta State. NLC has not uttered a single statement condemning attack, but they are rather preoccupied with Picketing a Party Secretarial that is not owing its workers any Salary or engaging in any anti Union activities.

(26)As Leadership of Labour Party we are therefore calling on Ajaero and his co travellers to leave LP for the politicians who were elected to run it while he also gave his labour movement mandate.

(27)The forceful entry of the Labour Party Secretariat by Ajaero and his cohort is criminal, and illegal. We therefore call on the give the Inspector General of Police and the Director General of DSS to arrest Joe Ajaero for Treason over his planned political insurrection against the federal government through a conduct likely to cause breech of peace with his call on students, market women and leaders, thugs and other miscreants to invade the 36 states chapter of Labour party offices which can led to break down of law and order

(28)We are now fully prepared to shed our Blood in defence of our party leadership as all unconventional or Illegal means to hijacked our party leadership against the rule of law shall be met with force for force and this is not a threat.

(29) Lastly in the spirit of self defense. We shall defend our party leadership from been taking over by NLC political Terrorists, we are prepared to dislodged the NLC miscreants from the Party National Secretariat as nobody has monopoly of violence.

I issued this PRESS STATEMENTS in defence of our party leadership

Labour Party is not Federal Government Of Nigeria, we refuse to be cowed.

Signed

Dr Comrade Arabambi Abayomi

Politics / Osun Accord Suspends State Chairman, Akande Indefinitely by Honbright(m): 10:35am On Mar 16
Recalled that Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi was the party Flagbearer in the last Gubernatorial Election in the Accord Party in Osun State, As party suspended its chairman, Victor Akande for alleged anti-party activities.

The suspension of Akande was contained in a resolution by six executive committee members of the party in the state during an emergency session in Ile-Ife during the week.

The suspension was also ratified by 13 local government chairmen who were in attendance at the meeting.

According to a communique signed by all in attendance, the party members accused Akande of partaking in party activities without carrying other members of the state executive and acting dictatorially.

They also revealed that the action was taken because the embattled Accord chairman failed to respond to the allegations levelled against him.

The statement added, "Victor started some intrusive, obnoxious and misleading behaviours that have split the structure of the party.

"He forged the signature of the state secretary in the letter he wrote to the national body on behalf of Osun Accord without the knowledge and consent of the state working committee and when an explanation was demanded, he failed to say a word.

"Akande cannot explain where he put the palliative from the state government that was meant for the Osun Accord"

"He suspended 6 out of 10 members of the state working committees and the majority of Ife/Ijesa Chairmen because they queried some of his mischievous character.

"Victor Akande installed his woman friend Oluwakemi Awogbade who hailed from Ile-Ife, as the vice chairman of the party without taking part in the State's Congress."

Other anti-party allegations levelled against him include; sponsorship of another group in the locality to form the parallel exco truncating the chances of an Accord party candidate, recruiting thugs to beat up party candidates in Ife South, using his position as party chairman to trade some Accord party members for accreditation of another political party in the state.

The resolution however stated that Akande's suspension would last until he clears the air on all the allegations leveled against him convincingly.

Food / PHOTOSPEAK: Very Large Fish At Lameco-osogbo by Honbright(m): 8:47am On Sep 04, 2023
•Fish for N60k

OSUN: an unusual crowd surfaced at LAMECO junction on Sunday afternoon, was unprecedented, VOICE AIR MEDIA reports.

As Bike riders, popularly called ‘Okada’ parked their bikes in thousands, ditto with private and commercial buses beside the road.

Could it be an accident? Or could it have been that one ‘Okadaman’(bike rider) had been knocked down by a car or alone somersaulted with a co-rider or his passenger? What could have been the reason for this tumultuous unusual crowd this afternoon-we were all talking and asking one another but no answer came.

Behold, it was a big Catch! A superlative Gargantuan of a Fish!

VOICE AIR MEDIA correspondent at the on-the-spot incident, the fish hunter, Tola (that’s the name of the now famous big fish hunter at LAMECO Juncion) had caught some big fish in the past but not as huge as the one in the news today.

At the venue, most of the passersby struggled to catch a glimpse of the gigantic fishes on display to snap their pictures while some were bargaining to buy the fishes from Tola but it seemed as if Tola was not ready to go less than N60K.

Romance / Fedpoly-ado Alumni Ends 6-years Engagement, To Wed 36-yr-old Man In 2-months by Honbright(m): 7:47pm On Aug 28, 2023
Taking to Facebook on Sunday, August 27th , 2023, an African Filmmaker and media expert who had been engaged to Olaide Olajide last year and were set to marry this year.

According to the social media’s post, the lady is now planning to marry someone she claims nothing is going on with.

His Facebook post reads:

“So someone asked me today, ‘Isn’t today your wedding day?’ I smiled… The woman I was supposed to marry got married within two months after our breakup! Fear women!!!!! Heartbroken, BUT FINALLY I’M FREE.

Many of you knew about my relationship, and some did not, but it’s finally over. I’ve decided to speak up and put an end to the rumors. 🤔😏

For those who speak ill of it, here’s what happened: you should know that our relationship was difficult, but today I’m informing you all that we are no longer together. 💔

I won’t deny that things didn’t go as we thought, so we decided to part ways. We tried to stay together, but it just didn’t work out. I don’t have to explain what went wrong, but I’m happy I chose to end it for the glory of God. My life is better, and I’m living happily. Thanks for your concern, guys. Much love.

I am God’s Beloved, and I choose to be happy!

Moral lesson: Be wise, don’t force anyone into marriage. Listen to the voice of God and always choose happiness.

Proverbs 21:19
Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife.

I was fooled for years; I was engaged to a stranger for years. But God saved me and found me. No regrets. I’m so thankful to God that he pulled me out of an unhealthy relationship. Such a woman can definitely cause harm. A woman who got married to the guy she told me had nothing between them when I visited her at her pastor’s house in Lagos. A man who exchanged pleasantries with me, and I had no idea what was happening. She broke up with me because of the guy. Her pastor was shocked, and so am I. Barely two months ago, I proposed, and now another man is married… Lolzz. … Oh dear, life is a lesson, and I’m deeply grateful to God."

Politics / To Increase Women Participation In Politics, Here's What To Do-by Bright Gbotemi by Honbright(m): 9:15pm On Aug 04, 2023
Nigeria Has Lesser Women In Politics: Here's Why, And What To Do

By; Bright Gbotemi, Voice For Good Governance And Democracy (VGD)

THERE are few women in political and leadership spaces in Nigeria. Currently, in the Senate, out of the 109 senators, three are female, which was a reduction from the seven in the 9th Assembly.

SIMILARLY, in the House of Representatives, sixteen women were sworn in out of the 360 lawmakers, a slight increase compared to 13 in the previous House.

THE female lawmakers are from; Anambra, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Delta, Imo, Ogun, Plateau, Lagos, Yobe and Oyo.

IT is on record that there is no female governor in the whole of 36 states of the nation, and also no female vice president since democracy system of government.

IN the recent 47 Ministerial Nominees of President Bola Tinubu, Nine(9) Women were shortlisted.

WHY ARE WOMEN SO POORLY REPRESENTED IN KEY LEADERSHIP POSITIONS?

THERE are different factors. Some are due to the political party systems and structures we have in place in Nigeria.

FOR instance, the high cost of politics prevent women from standing for positions. Often women don’t have enough money to pay for the mandatory Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms required by political parties to run for positions on their platforms. Election campaign costs are exorbitantly high.

THERE are also societal factors that impede women’s representation in governance.

CULTURAL or religious norms surrounding marriage, the structures that portray women as subordinate to men.

EVEN educated women face obstacles. Gender stereotypes that assign leadership to men, sexual assault, unpaid labour, including child care and housework, placing them at a disadvantage.

THERE is also a lack of political will and effective action from government.

A cross section of the media gives poor coverage to female candidates. It is not the same as the coverage men get. Women candidates are sometimes subjected to gender related electoral violence, threats and hate speech because of the perception that women want to get what is traditionally meant for men.

WHY IS REPRESENTATION OF WOMEN IN NIGERIAN POLITICS IMPORTANT?

DATA has shown that half of the population are women, their participation will create an equilibrium or balance of power between genders and this is a pointer to development in any society. Over the years, There's a rise in the number of women serving in elected and appointed political position all over the world.

HERE are the top five countries with the highest percentages of women’s political power:

Spain: 66.7%, Finland: 61.1%, Nicaragua: 58.8%, Colombia: 57.9%, Austria: 57.1%

BUT that is not the case for Nigerian women.

THE full and equitable participation of women in governance is essential to building and sustaining strong and vibrant democracies.

WHEN women are not participating in politics, it’s less likely that policies will benefit them.

OSUN State as a Case Study

Study revealed that the low representation of women in politics in Osun State is due to certain socio-cultural factors like violence, discrimination against women, people's perception of politics as a dirty game and cultural beliefs. It suggests that representation of women in Osun State is low compared to their male counterparts with an indication that sustainability of democracy at the grassroots level is yet to be sustained.

FEW days ago, Governor Ademola Adeleke inaugurated Commissioners who will serve in his cabinet, however only two(2) females made the list of 25 nominees screened by the Osun State House of Assembly. They are Mrs Ayo Awolowo, a former Special Adviser to Former Governor Oyinlola, Mrs Adenike Adeleke, the wife of the late Isiaka Adeleke, who was the first civilian Governor of the State during the aborted Third Republic and the elder brother of Governor Adeleke.

THIS has generated a lot of reactions, criticism from Analysts, Women Activists and the Opposition Party in Osun State.

THEIR question; Where is the place of women in Governor Ademola Adeleke's Government, Women trooped out enmasse for political activities like campaigns but get nothing out of the outcome at the end of the day.

HOW CAN THE PROBLEM OF REPRESENTATION BE SOLVED?

TRAINING is very vital; Women need training in the fundamentals of politics. They need to understand grassroot politics and start from there. When people are unknown at the grassroots, they don't go far in politics.

WOMEN also need to see that politics is not all dirty. They need to see governance as what affects everyone in a society.

FINANCIAL support is important. Some women can’t afford to buy party forms. And when payment for forms is waived for women, they are often made to step down for the man who has paid. Women need financial support that will not impede on their rights to participate or contest for positions.

THE media must change their narratives towards political coverage for women. They sometimes project women in ways that are not relevant to leadership, politics or election. There are instances where election violence has badly and specifically affected women. The media have to report these and hold perpetrators accountable.

ADVOCATING for affirmative action at the state and political party level is also crucial. Political parties have over the years mandated women to step down from the electoral process.

Politics / Apostle Asiwaju Urges FG To Redirect Subsidy Palliative To Production by Honbright(m): 12:01pm On Jul 18, 2023
Apostle Gbenga Asiwaju Urges FG To Redirect Subsidy Palliative To Production, Not Insensitive N8,000 Monthly Distribution

•Tasks Ondo state govt to fix Electricity in Okitipupa, build a factory over unemployment

Apostle Olugbenga Asiwaju, has evaluated the proposed N8,000 monthly palliative by the Federal Government for 12 million households, calling a misplacement of priority.

The Planter of EL-OLAM International Christian Centre aka Word Embassy, suggested that the government should use the subsidy savings to fix the transport and energy sector, as 27% of the country’s average household depends on fuel-related expenses, rather than putting it into a wasteful exercise.

Apostle Asiwaju stated in a Sunday statement that the palliative, which will be funded through a loan, will add to the country’s loss burden, and that Nigeria is about to get it wrong completely... already has a high debt profile and does not need to incur more debt to distribute palliatives.

He said: “the N8,000 is a misplacement of priority.. that is not what we need now. The government is about to run into colossal loss and waste of public funds. The government is about to get it wrong completely.."

"I wonder who is advising Mr. President.. The Buhari's administration allegedly claimed to share money.. no accountability and transparent for it because the program didn't alleviate poverty in any way.."

Apostle further revealed that Nigeria economy is already on zero level.

"Poverty is biting every Nigerian harder, People are groaning and dying of the economic hardship... Nothing is working in Nigeria.... Sharing N8,000 for 12 million families for 6 months is not the answer.. Why not use the money to fix this Electricity dilemma once and for all in the six geopolitical zones..

"Once the electricity is fixed, then people who can produce will go into production.. Then the government can also build factories by this there will be job opportunities and gradually, poverty will b reduce... The government only need to get credible Nigerians that have the nation at heart and saddle them with the responsibility of fixing the electricity for that six month of wasting money by paying 12 million family #8000.. We know what happened to government palliative during covid 19.. it failed completely, so many politicians enriched themselves while poor citizens died of hunger," He said.

While charging Ondo state government, Apostle Olugbenga Asiwaju said, "it's quite painful. I expected so much from Akeredolu's administration, but it's completely off. Nothing is working.. I remember that during his first term, he campaigned in the Okitipupa n Ikale area, of the State, that he will fix the electricity, but he hasn't been up till now.. No electricity in okitipupa for over 10 years..

"I will advise if the federal government still go ahead with their wasteful plan, then Governor Akeredolu should fix okitipupa electricity and build factory to open job opportunities for people.. Sharing money for six month is a no-no, the statement reads.
