Coming from a family of all boys, i would go for all boys too but i don't think this is going to be possible because of my "emotion". i am likely going to have girls but i pray that i should have 3 boys and 1 girl.. While growing up, my family (all boys) use to deal with our neighbor's kids (All girls), they only knew how to insult while we were good at beating the hell out of them. 70% of these girls got pregnant below 20yrs and GIRLS can't be controlled, their mind is just too weak to stick to proper training. I DONT WANT A GIRL AS MY FIRST CHILD, GOD PLS O. |
Senate Probe Panel Uncovers NNPC’s Multi-Billion Dollar Secret Account…Finance Minister, CBN Deny Knowledge Of Account BY IREDITOR · 2 JULY 2012 · NO COMMENTS That the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is a cesspool of corruption was again confirmed today when the senate committee probing fuel subsidy payments announced it has uncovered a secret foreign account into which billions of dollars of proceeds of Nigeria’s crude oil sales are paid into by the NNPC. The dollar account is maintained by the corporation with J.P. Morgan in the USA. Finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala denied having any information about how the account is being operated and who its signatories are, just as she confirmed that the nation has so far paid over N2.19 trillion in fuel subsidy with a clause that the figure may still rise as more facts on the subsidy payments emerge. The fresh payments account for subsidy between 2011 and June 2012. It was also discovered by the Senate panel at its sitting today that crude oil sales by the NNPC are first paid in dollars into the secret account before remitting same into the Federation Account in naira. Just as Okonjo-Iweala denied having details about the account, Accountant General of the Federation, Mr. Jonah Otunla also claimed ignorance about the account where the nation’s main oil sales earnings are paid into. At the sitting today, the Committed Chairman, Senator Magnus Abe, had asked Okonjo-Iweala: “Are you aware that NNPC runs a J.P Morgan account into which all the revenues of Nigeria’s crude sales are paid into? ”I know that NNPC runs an account outside which it uses but I don’t have the specifics of the account”, she replied. At this point, an infuriated Abe ordered for a copy of the 1999 Constitution and directed the committee clerk, Mr. I. Ikem to give it to the minister and directed her to read aloud section 80(4) to the gathering. The minister complied. Thereafter, Abe asked her same question, to which she, again, replied: “I like to make very clear, I said I believe that NNPC does (but) I don’t have the account number and I’m not privy to the account. I said since they sell crude outside, they would have an account. Because FAAC doesn’t maintain any foreign accounts, we rely on money transmitted. We have access to accounts within our jurisdiction with the CBN and other banks but with regards to accounts outside the country, since I’m not a signatory, it would be very difficult to do that.” Not impressed with the minister’s evasive answer, the senator declared that ”That money should go into the Federation account and not any J.P. Morgan account. Honourable Minister, as the manager of the economy, you cannot sit before the Senate and say you don’t know the account where Nigeria’s crude oil sales proceeds are kept.” After taking on the NNPC GMD, Andrew Yakubu, the committee switched to the Accountant General of the Federation who said “I’m aware of the account. I don’t know the name of the account. I don’t know the details of the account. They will normally submit a statement to the CBN and the CBN will remit that to us.” http://ireports-ng.com/2012/07/02/senate-probe-panel-uncovers-nnpcs-multi-billion-dollar-secret-account-finance-minister-cbn-deny-knowledge-of-account/#.T_L7OIeyx6U.facebook |

I Am Not Going To Yobe State 'Well Said" Quote of the Day: "Our families made sacrifices to get us where we are today. I, for one, cannot go to Yobe State if the President who is the Commander- In-Chief of the Armed Forces does not feel safe to go there; who am I, an ordinary citizen, to go there? The President told the whole nation during the Presidential Media Chat last week that he could not use a helicopter to go to Borno or Yobe states because of security concerns, why do they want to send us there?” ~ Dr. Isaiah (Youth Corper posted to Yobe State) |

chamber2: Bros, even in the face of technological advancement banks do not sack staffs the way it is currently done in our country. Ours is highly unprecedented and represents a collapsing system. Something, other than technology, is obviously behind this. Even in more advanced and emerging economies bank staffs are not being thrown away the way it is done here. It has always being a gradual process. Our banks have not really gone that technological if you ask me. We still do not have ATM deposit and cheque receiving machines here. Consequently, the need for manual staffs remains widespread.Yes they haven't fully gone technological but i believe they can only sack people they have no use of. |
chamber2: The current crisis in the sector is self-inflicted, albeit the recession. This mass sack in banks is a reflection of poor regulatory framework and emotion-ladden crisis management approach by the leadership of the CBN. Sanusi, as a risk expert, should have known that the banking sector is susceptible to noise and would have done his best to manage the crises ''administratively'' without recourse to politics and witch-hunting. Now, the banks appear to be broke and can nolonger maintain their workforce due to the reckless spending witnessed in re-branding the banks. If the banks must cut cost there are many ways to go about that. Reducing advert cost, operation cost and the salaries and jumbo allowances paid to bank chiefs can go a long way. This is partially not true, i believe whether now or later, the banks are expected to employ less human man power while steering towards technological man power and it's gradually happening.. why would you need 3 or 5 CCO when more ATMs and Auto Reception service is now evoke? more banks are setting up e-centers where a customer can walk in on his own to complete a transaction without help from any bank staff, the more of these e-centers, the less staffs banks need. so why would bank retain staffs they don't need when they can simply build more of these e-centers and at the same time save money for themselves? |
Odunnu: Lemme stone you again, Platinumk is also here. You don't mean it.. please i am not current, gist me abeg lol. BTW, i miss you o. |
Tisa: honeric01:I didn't say Nigerians aren't intelligent, did i? one thing is to be intelligent, another thing is to make use of your intelligence. we are intelligent but we hardly use this intelligence hence the reason Nigeria is how it is. |
chamber2: Bros, if you dare approach any banker he/she would tell you how ''over laboured'' they are! So, your argument that '' they wouldn't have been employed'' in the first instance is highly misplaced. No employer will hire people who do nothing. Bankers are among the highly worked-out people in Nigeria. Ask them! Then can you explain what is going on now? if they are that needed, why then are they being sacked? do you throw away valuables? why would you sack staffs you need? they are surplus to requirement. |
manny4life: Both government fiscal policies AND youth willingness work hand in hand. If the govt is hostile for entrepreneurship, then that doesn't encourage youths. That's the point; the govt IS NOT encouraging small businesses, there's no incentive of being an entrepreneur. How many of our universities teach entrepreneurial programs in school? How many grants and programs have our govt supported to encourage entrepreneurship? I mean other than YouWIN, what else? The business environment and foundation is POOR. If I want to go into business, I will jump through hoops and loops from licensing to small capital to infrastructures (which is the WORST).We are saying the same thing bro, the govt has never in any time encouraged entrepreneurs but then the citizens themselves are too docile to ask for help rigorously because few are looking into that direction. |
Odunnu: Open secretBabes, i never knew. thanks.. Ayetty me likey lol. |
tunax5loon: noo yu get it wrong bro.. i finished my NYSC this FEB.. and all the money i saved, i hav invested it in my poultry biz.. i hav 100 cockrels at the moment.. but i must confess things are not easy because i can hardly buy credit.. i rely on free browsing these dayz. And who said it was going to be easy? those who you are looking to employ, didn't they start the same way you are starting now? What i am saying is that "we should stop all these job hunting most of us do" less companies are springing up because few people are ready to establish businesses while more people are looking to be employed by the few companies still standing. Every year more than 100 thousand graduates look for jobs, how do you think they are going to be employed when companies are not being established? the only way some of them can be employed is when current staffs are sacked and this is what's happening now.. sack old workers, employ new ones, in 3-7 years time, sack them again, employ new ones, the cycle continues. |
Odunnu: Your ayetty ID is free, babeShe's Ayetty? wow |
fm7070: GEJ, is your head still upright??lol |
cheddarking: Wait...This is called Amodu-NFA syndrome. What is the name of that Ex Swedish coach jare? |
BlackBaron: Not everyone can be an entrepreneur. Nor does entrepreneurship guarantee absolute job security. The banks were employing people they never needed in the first place, hence the reason for the sacking.. if you are under producing or under-servicing, you won't dare sack. only when you have MORE staffs than production/output that you think of sacking.. simple! |
manny4life: Well, the Nigerian environment isn't encouraging for small business folks. The Nigerian factor is really hostile in so many ways, so IMO, that's a deterrent factor. Was there a period when government encouraged small businesses? most of the companies with more staffs than production we have now started small in this same country. it's the mindset of our young ones that should change. Statements like "after school, look for job, marry, bla bla bla". few are creative or have the zeal to do something on their own. |
tunax5loon: MY BRO, NO BE SO.. THIS COUNTRY IS NOT WILLING TO HELP OUR YOUTHS THEREFORE, SINCE MANY PPL DON'T HAV ACCESS TO FUND, THEY PREFER WORKING IN ESTABLISHMENTS THINKING ONE DAY THEY WILL GET HUGE CAPITAL TO START THEIR BIZ..SADLY, THE DAY NEVER COM 'COS ONCE YU ARE WORKING, PPL WILL START DEPENDING ON YU.. NO TIME TO SAFE CASHSo who helped the companies they are looking to employ them? Nigeria was never at anytime helping anybody to establish businesses, those who did did on their own so make we stop this "govt not helping language jor". In this same "govt not helping" country, people who have taste for challenge are making it and establishing businesses.. just imagine if everyone have this mindset of "govt not helping, so we won't start up biz" who then is going to employ? |
manny4life: There's no job security even if you worked in the Oil, Manufacturing, Retail, Entertainment or Hospitality industry. The ONLY security you can have is "ENTREPRENEURSHIP".Nobody wants to start from the scratch, nobody wants to build but they all want to live in a house others built, no body wants to suffer as a start up business owner, rather they would sit at home waiting for other entrepreneur to employ them. 0% CREATIVITY. |
Every body wan work for bank.. BSc in Agriculture working in the bank Micro biologist working as a cashier Mass communication degree holder working as a marketer in the bank. Engineering student working as CCO. Everybody wan work for bank. |

CRUDE OIL (AUG 12) INTRADAY: BULLISH BIAS ABOVE 82 Pivot: 82.00 Most Likely Scenario: LONG positions above 82 with 85.25 & 86.5 in sight. Alternative scenario: The downside penetration of 82 will call for a slide towards 80.85 & 79.85. Comment: Even though a continuation of the consolidation cannot be ruled out, its extent should be limited. |
