That's how i pay my tithe. My 10% goes to the less privilege...

No sir. Tithe is not meant for less privileged. It's meant for the service in the house of God and those who minister at the altar of God.
You can give a % of your salary to them, but for tithe, it's for the church and it's ministers.

Nop this is not the way to tithe. The tithe belongs to God, who manages the money through the pastor or those in charge of the finances.

Omooba77:
Abu Abel Egbarin, a prominent real estate mogul and resident of Lagos, has raised alarm over an alleged attempt by Seyi Tinubu to forcefully take possession of his legally acquired land.
In a video circulating on the X platform, Egbarin claimed that the Lagos State Government had ordered carpenters to fence the disputed property and hand over the gate key to Tinubu.

According to Egbarin, the land in question had undergone a government assessment, and he had made the payment almost six years ago.

He expressed bewilderment at the sudden assertion that the land belonged to Seyi Tinubu, a revelation that emerged only after he had invested billions of Naira in developing the property.

In the video, Egbarin stated, “Lagos State Government has ordered carpenters to fence my legally acquired land and give the key to the gate to Seyi Tinubu.

“This is a land the state governor gave me assessment before I made payment almost six years ago.

“Before six years ago, you didn’t say the land belonged to Tinubu. When I started filling this land; I’ve spent billions of Naira on it, and you’re now saying Tinubu owns the land. The state government informed the Chief of Staff to come and fence it.

“Nigerians, you can see now. They want to cause trouble. They want to grab my land; that Tinubu is the owner of the land.”

You pay your tithe to the place where the church has responsibility over you, anything less than that is just help you are giving to those people or places.

Any other thing you do to people beside tithing is nothing than help.

Tithe is NOT compulsory. In dis Tinubu economy your brain never set, continue.

Is payment of tithe perquisites for heaven or blessings? If not why being stupid?

Salvation is free. Blessings of God is not attached to payment of tithe rather heart broken individuals, cheerful giver and fear of the Lord.

You are 1000% wrong. This is the result of listening to deluded preachers like Abel and Freeze. There's a reason God talked about tithing. No matter what anybody may say,Mal. 3:8-10 is still relevant till date. God isn't father Christmas and his blessings can't also be picked anyhow.

Most of you here are ignorant noise makers, you don't do your research before writing. I pity you all... What a shame.

I don't expect anything different from what you are saying, by their fruits, we shall know them.
For your information, I'm neither on any side of the ministers concern. But my point is on your post, asking wether Akpabio call the minister of Interior a corrupt man. So carry your ranting toga to another place. This is 2024.

Watch the video again, tell me where he was accused of corruption as the chairman... Please go ahead, unless you don't understand English.

Akpabio said "you people are the greatest beneficiaries (talking about the senate/senate committee)" and then said "you can ask your chairman, the 2 chairmen, I have been a member of this committee before"

So tell me how the above translates to accusation of corruption? Some of you just don't understand simple statements, yet you are the loudest on social media.

This is the problem in Nigeria. Because he's your man, you want to cover him, you are asking to know where Akpabio called him a thief, but he said they are the greatest beneficiary and that they should ask their chairman. Who was their chairman? Why was Akpabio asked to off his microphone? Why was he not allowed to explain then you will know the culpability of the minister.
This is too bad for this country. If Mrs Farouq and Edu were to be from your tribe, you will defend them.

Prayer warrior. My house can't be affected. My house is in Ikeja Gra.
There are lots of illegal structures in Oworoshoki. Encroaching on government lands. Especially those houses close to the Lagoon. More houses there will pull down.
From what I heard Makoko, ilaje in bariga, ijeshatedo, Aguda, ilasamaja, Orile, Satellite town , demolition will start from there next year.

That's great. Let it continue.
This is what the people voted Sanwo-Olu to do. When the heaven will fall,it never be on an individual alone.
Among those affected with this demolition, some of them voted for APC in all the elections. If they had seen it coming,I doubt if they would have done that.
You don't throw away, the baby and bath water the same time
I will continue to ask, didn't the predecessors of Sanwo-Olu see these infringements when they were in office?
Sanwo-Olu is the one with the scientific glass, that could see these things better
Badagry- Lagos Expressway expansion work had houses that were demolished, over 12yrs ago, to make room for the road expansion, till now, the road is yet to be completed,.
So let the whole of Lagos go in the name of demolition, let's see who blinks Las. Mind you,he has only 4yrs in office.

That was what they did at Ajao , with FAAN property, the same thing at Festac Amuwo Odofin. Why should a responsible government agency, paid and maintained by Public funds in the form of tax be used to score cheap private agenda and the governor and his government will allow it?
These Lagos State government agencies roaring like a wounded lion, where they not there in the days of Sanwo-Olu predecessors? They are being used to settle political points and you will complain tomorrow of social malfeasance.

Politics / Re: Yoruba Youths Urge Tinubu To Put Zamfara State Governor On Watch by honeyB2018: 3:56pm On Dec 29, 2023
Jatuski:

The Yoruba Youth Council has deplored what it described as worrisome underdevelopment of Zamfara State, coupled with insecurity since the exit of former Governor Bello Matawalle.

"We observed that since the nullification by appeal court of results from the three local governments that produced Governor of Zamfara State, the state have been going through challenges".

In a statement signed by its National President, Comrade Eric Oluwole, the council, which is an umbrella body of the Yoruba youths noted particularly that the state has been going through challenges since the Court of Appeal on November 27 ordered a rerun by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, of the March 18 election which produced the incumbent Governor Dauda Lawal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner.

The statement said that based on its overview, "the Council observed that the current state of underdevelopment in the state is due to alleged fear and uncertainty being entertained by the governor on whether he would win or lose the three Local Government Areas in the incoming rerun."

Oluwole said: "We called on the Mr President to put Governor Dauda Lawal under watch and checking, there is need for the Governor to concentrate his full energy on delivering meaningful governance to the good people of Zamfara State who are looking up to their leaders full hope, while patiently awaiting the final decision of the Supreme Court on his pending appeal against the nullification of his election by the lower Court and the Appeal Court.

"We also observe then that his part of the people that showed much interest in Mr President on Toronto certificate issue".

Yoruba youth also said they learnt that Mr Governor has been financing some groups in order to carry out protest and therefore, called on security agencies to be on alert to arrest any person that want to cause problem in the state.

"Already, the current state of underdevelopment in Zamfara State is disturbing enough, Mr Governor should not do anything to further jeopardize the interest and especially the much-needed overall socioeconomic development of the state."

The youth leader then urged Governor Lawal to, pending the verdict of the Supreme Court on his appeal, he should vigorously follow the footsteps of his predecessor and now Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle "with his brilliant record of achievements as the immediate former Governor of Zamfara State."

It would be recalled that in a unanimous decision by its three-member panel led by Justice Oyebisi Folayemi, including Justice Cordelia Ifeoma Jombo-Ofo, and Justice Sybil Nwaka Gbagi, the appellate court had declared the March 18 Zamfara State Governorship Election as inconclusive and nullified Lawal's return.

It further ordered INEC to conduct a fresh election in three Local Government Areas of the state including Maradun, Birnin-Magaji and Bukkuyum, where elections had not been held previously or where results from various polling units were not counted.

Also, the court held that it was wrong for INEC to rely on information it obtained from its INEC Result Viewing (IReV) portal to collate the final result of the governorship election.

The judgment was on an appeal brought before the court by the immediate former governor of the state, Bello Matawalle, who was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 18 election

Oluwole noted that the Independent National Electoral Commission did not include about 98,000 votes meant for Bello Matawalle in its tally, called on the Supreme Court to simply add it up and decide in Matawalle’s favor without the need for a rerun and declare him winner.

"We advise Mr Governor to wait for the Supreme Court ruling, the state should not jeopardize its efforts, so far, Nigeria belong to all of us, there is need for everyone to obey the Court ruling. The state needs to be stable for development and security.

Can you see how biased and sentimental some people could be?
So the insecurity in the state, started with the present governor a PDP man?
Can you just imagine how stupid and idiotic that some people could be?
The insecurity in Zamfara State has been for along time. Nigerians got to know the severity of insecurity through Sen.Marafa, when he was still in the Senate, as a senator. So the supreme court, should just add the so called missing votes and declare Matawele the governor? O, God have mercy on this nation.
All of these, because Tinubu as a Yoruba man is the president of Nigeria?
Well,as far as I'm concerned, I have lost trust and confidence in the Nigerian judicial system. One will not be surprised,if the wishes and aspirations of the myopic and tribal bigots are granted tomorrow. That's where we have found ourselves now.

Any statistical information from NBS about Lagos State, should be seen as the information about the whole country.
Reason is this. Over 90% of the population of Lagos State, is made up of non- Indigenes. Meaning, it's the contributions of people from other regions and state, that made Lagos State what they are.
So using Lagos State to compare or judge other states, doesn't add up. For Ogun State and others, I can understand, but for Lagos State, it's a borrowed economy.

Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyawu needs no introduction. He is a billionaire businessman in his 70's, from Imo State. Back in the 80's, he was touted as amongst the 3 top richest Igbo men alive. A former Chieftain of PDP, he severally sought to become that Parties Presidential candidate but never succeeded . Today, he is President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, which theoretically makes him the leader of the Igbo race. Chief Iwuanyawu remains immensely influential amongst Igbos and very popular

Nnamdi Kanu

The leader of the indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, hails Afara Ibeku, Umuahia, Abia State. He gained cult like following amongst many Igbos with his propagation of Biafra, the independence of the south East and some parts of the South/South from Nigeria. To find an Igbo person who has a bad word for Nnamdi Kanu is very rare, and his current incarceration by the Nigerian authorities elevated him to a Nelson Mandela like status amongst Igbos. Despite being in detention for over 2 years, mostly in solitary confinement, the man still wields immense support and popularity amongst Igbos

Peter Obi

Peter Obi is a billionaire businessman and politician, a native of Agulu in Anambra State, and a political acolyte of the late Biafran Warlord, Ojukwu. He was Governor of Anambra between 2007 and 2013. Obi shot into political prominence in 2023 when he chose to run for the Presidency under the little known Labour party. His fellow Igbos saw him as the only person worth voting for amongst the leading candidates and massively mobilised for him.

If you talk of Nnamdi Kanu and Peter Obi, I can agree with you, but for Emmanuel Iwuanyawu, I completely disagree with you.
He's one of the big minus in the political space in Igbo land. If you doubt me, let him sponsor a candidate in any of the political parties in Igbo land, the result will shock you.

Show me where Jesus with his 12 disciples did as you make noise in churches today in the name of prayers?

The disciples of Jesus Christ, never knew how to pray, while they were with him, until they were thought the Lord's prayer. Luke.11:1-4.
Because they never knew how to pray life changing prayers, they couldn't pray with Jesus Christ at his most hour of need. Matthew 26:36-40.
After they had been thought and continued with one accord in PRAYERS in the Upper Room. Acts 1:14-15.
When they were empowered by the Holy Spirit on the day of the Pentecost, everyone around heard them pray.
They prayers that were prayed by the Apostles that made everyone hear them pray in their own dialect, wasn't a private prayer. Acts 2:7-13.
Prayers that will make others mock them and say that these men were full of new wine, wasn't that kind of prayers, that Jesus Christ thought them in Luke 11.
So understand, there's both public and private side of prayers, to the issue of prayers.
When the Holy Spirit takes over, it's a different ball game, that is why people pray the way they do, in the time of prayers.
In Acts 4:23-31, you see another kind of public prayers. V. 23. Being let go, they went to their own company ( gathering of believers or the Apostles). When they all gathered to pray, the place where they stayed to pray was shaken and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. This is not a private prayer.
Hope this post blesses your soul.
Thank you.

To enlighten your dark heart and blank knowledge of the scriptures look at the following.
Matthew 6:6-7, Jesus Christ was talking about private prayers.
In Acts 1:12-15, 2:4-14, this is the public prayers.
Where 120 believers in Jesus Christ came together to pray and the Holy Spirit came upon them. You can't call a gathering of 120 believers a private gathering.
While in Matthew, Jesus Christ said close your door. Please when next you type the name of Jesus Christ, kindly use capital J and not your small j. Thanks

The leaders of the Jehovah's Witnesses sect has approved responsible male brothers to wear and keep beards if they choose in a recent update aired on jw broadcast dated December 15,2023.

On this update nos 8 they've agreed that is non scriptural to instruct Christians on how to look outwardly uniformly. They now accept that spirituality is the basis of Christianity not outward appearances or trying to appear or sound different from other competing religious organisations .

There's high and mixed emotions amongst the members now. Many are disappointed while few who has been scorned by elders and congregation leaders for trying to leave there beards to grow may be the only ones excited.

But personally they( Governing Body) needs to apologise to there members for trying to make them look like a cult. Cus is only a cult that that enforce a dress pattern or grooming for members from varying cultures and backgrounds all around the world

This is what you see, when people are not led by the Holy Spirit in deliberating on an issue that has to do with the body of Christ.
What will they tell those they have misled, misdirected as excommunicated?
