ksjlar: Well it is just unfortunate because I shared my interview experience comprehensively on page one fifty something and no one even cared to acknowledge it with the exception of 3 people. You can go back to those pages or better still click on my name and you will see all my posts.
We have all spent our time lately on things which was not the reason why this thread was set up either by flaming the fire or cooling down tempers of those who are on fire.
What more can I say

No I am not in Nigeria, I am Ghanaian but I live in Europe.
Congrats man. God bless you as u go to the us

adzovia: finished my interview some few hours ago. it was sucessful this were the questions i was asked
co: are u narried
me: ?
co: have u ever been married?
me: ?
co: do u have kids
me: ?
co: wat is your profession
me: ?
co: come on so so date for your visa do not make any travel plans before then

anyway just to chip in i realised at the interview a guy came in with his high school certificate and he had F in both english and maths. one of the co's told him that is ground for disqualification he told her he rewrote the exam that is novdec in ghana i believe is neco in nigeria well when asked where that result is he said he left it at home. pls go to the interview with all your certificates all they need is your high school anyway.
good luck to all of u. remember to pray before u go.

babbs45: For all those waiting to be interview, I pray you all are granted the visas in IJN. There are so many good opportunities over here, all the good things in life that you can think of BUT then again it can be very very stressful and sometimes depressing. This forum serve as a kinda therapy for me. Reading temmytanny and gentiger go at it put some smile on my face especially when am down. No disrespect to people trying to squash this. I'll be posting my lil bro's interview experience as soon as it is over. You all keep up the good work.
wish your bro all the best. cant wait to read the good news in detail.

Its high time you guys put an end to all dese insults abeg. We are here for one common goal and if anyone has personal issues, i suggest you book a date and venue to fight. Icame back here thinkn i would get 2 more pages of useful information not insults. Lets just respect ourselves. At least i know u need a high school cert to go through wiv the lottery thingy so that simply means no one here is a child. If you are not sure of anythn, dont bother giving feedback or if you have to kindly let the rest of us know you are not 100% percent sure. Also if you feel anyone has given out wrong information, respectfully state it. i dont think thats too difficult abi. Nobody knows everything. we need everyone to make contributions and for people like me i need to learn from the experienced people. God help us achieve all out goals and dreams. I no fit shout

coax: Had my interview yesterday. CO was a true gentleman, and interview was a very short, and smooth one (5 mins max).

what are you going to do in USA.
have you ever been to USA before?
have you ever been arrested?
what's your highest level of education.
when did you finish your highest level of education?

That's it. He congratulated me,and told me what will happen next.

one advise is to make sure all of the translations are 100% accurate. I've seen other applicants were asked to resubmit some of their documents due to inaccurate translation.

Cheers and good luck to all.
CONGRATS. IM INTERESTED IN YOUR ANSWER TO THE "WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO IN USA?"

Don Kool: Note that I chose to qualify with work experience. My current occupation is classified as a jobzone 4??( now that i thru i no fit readily remember! lol)
CO - What do you do?
me - I'm a ***** engineer with ***** company (oil and gas)
CO - Since when have been working there?
me - over five years now.
CO - Ok. Congrats, your visa has been approved.

Funny thing was that they did not collect any of my evidence of employment. just my educational certificates from ss testimonial to university cert and NYSC - Originals and photocopy (CO returned the orijos to me).

I noticed some peeps believe there is a formula to it. i don't subscribe to that school of thought.
it depends on what you have claimed and how well you can defend it, which in turn depends on the circumstances around the individual/family. I also believe what the COs are mostly looking for is inconsistencies in our claims and signs of insincerity in our answers.

I would suggest each of us should scrutinize his/her claims and prepare a solid document based defense for every claim. Then prepare for questions based on what you have claimed to have/be.

In my case, as far as i'm concerned, i merely showed up that day. I thank God for ordaining my steps to study what i did, get the job i have and win the lottery. He has been ordering my steps and keeping alive to fulfill the plan.
He that did mine shall also do for those who believe in Him. Amen.
Congrats don kool. May the rest of us also hav testimonies to share. Dis is d first time i hav eva really wanted christmas to pass quickly.lol I bliv my interview should be in january.

Gentiger: That's the spirit......just in case. Anyway, the form in question is not meant for you to fill. A US citizen or a Legal permanent resident can fill that form for you if they so wish. If you got relatives in the US who meet the above status, then try speaking with them on the possibility. It's really not a big deal as we are made to believe. Goodluck!
Thanks a lot Gentiger. Yea i have someone that can fill that. i actually spoke to her and she asked me to confirm if il need it. Would she need to attach any statements or anyfn like dat and does she send the form to me to take to the embassy or send the form directly to the embassy herself
TravelRe: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by honeydee: 12:11pm On Oct 09, 2012
Hi everyone. im from ghana and i have sent a mail to the embassy here to confirm if ghanaians will need the affidavit of support. I have not receved and reply yet. In the meantime i think i would want to start working on one just in case. Now i need to know if its just the
form 1-134 i need to fill or if theres another one to be attached to it and i would also like to know if the person is supposed to send that directly to the embassy. If theres any ghanaian in here that has also mailed the embassy and recevd fdbk, pls share. im seriously praying that it wont be needed just like in the case of my naija people.

Yh adzovia pls do dat and I wish u all d best in ur interview. Can't wait to hear ur success story dear
TravelRe: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by honeydee: 10:51pm On Oct 06, 2012
temmytanny: why not mail US embassy in Ghana and ask?No affidavit of support apply to naija applicants, i dont know about other countries
Will do dat temmy. Uve bn of tremendous help. Ave read a lot of ur previous posts. God bless you
TravelRe: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by honeydee: 8:25pm On Oct 06, 2012
adzovia: i guess this forum is not only for Nigerians but other nationals as well. if there is an issue concerning one country for example the affidavit of support i think is fair to say "i am from this country and is not needed" cause other ppl from other countries might need it and go there unprepared that is why i am of the view that is better to be prepared than sorry. and please let tempers cool down. i believe things tend to get heated up
when this affidavit thing is mentioned i dont know why. please let everyone smile cause we are all winners
Ure ryt adzovia. I'm frm ghana n kip gettn confused too

honeydee: Hi everyone. im new in here. i must say you guys are awesome. God richly bless you for the good work. Theres no doubt that Nigerians do not require an affidavit of support but i would appreciate it if someone could clarify if Ghanaians need it because i keep getting different responses and its really getting confusing.
Secondly my school results have my names written in a certain order while my passport and kcc forms have my middle name as my first name. would this be an issue?
Lastly i lived in Nigeria for some years and i would require a police report from Nigeria. Can i ask someone to get that for me or do i have to go there personally? Where exactly in Lagos is it done and how long does it take?
still waiting for an answer pls guys. abeg
TravelRe: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by honeydee: 4:59pm On Oct 04, 2012
Don Kool: Had my interview today.
It was super smooth.
they only asked where i was working and for how long.
I was expecting smooth sailing 'cos i met the stipulated conditions (work and /or education) and all my documents were legit and in order so no shaking..
But after the interview, i realized that i had it better than i imagined and knew that it was God's hand at work.
What more can i say, Baba God Noni!!
All the best to the rest of us.
My advice is to get all necessary documentation in place and let HIM do the rest.
Congrats. May the rest of us have success stories to share by God's grace. Amen
