Because the truth is these people don't want us.
Are there jobs here in Germany 💯
But they don't want Nigerians.
Ask yourself why is it only Nigerians suffering these appointments issue.
Tanzanians, Togolese and Cameroonians enter here at ease.

The question is, how many people in these African countries are applying for student visas? It is not only Nigerians that are suffering from appointment issues.

It has nothing to do with you or student visa applications. They are mainly asylum seekers, and their asylum cases have been rejected.

Nothing new here, once it comes to work during and after your studies that’s sure for you. The only issue is the language which I encourage anyone with long time visa to any EU state to learn.

Nothing new? I thought you had your interview in August. So this means you have not done your homework before coming to Germany? Who tell you it is sure for you? You have not heard that have completed one degree and started another because the job you got was not related to what you studied? You have not heard about those who can't get BC because their salary is below the threshold, I can go on and on. It is important not to enter Germany with this "I too know mentality even though it is an illusion". It won't help you. My 2 cents. Shalom

What's the new changes in the immigration law?

Click on the link provided, all the necessary info is there including those that will come into effect next year. Shalom

Greetings everyone. Just a heads-up: there are new changes to the immigration law that came into effect yesterday, and there are many more that will go into effect in 2024. I know the situation at the Embassy is not desirable; however, this might also help your planning during and after your studies when you finally get in. Also, it is possible to move from your study to full-time work, most notably in IT, if you already have a degree in Nigeria. There are many courses on Udemy and other platforms which can be helpful.

Most importantly, if you are coming in for an MSc course, make use of the delay at the Embassy to be proficient in skills that are related to your interest and don't forget the language as well. Don't be surprised that you might get a full-time job before you graduate if you have the necessary skills and requirements. I wish you all the best in this journey, even though it is cumbersome. Shalom

NECO/WAEC/NABTEB are all accepted. Also, the primary point of consideration is your 100L transcript grade. However, applying to more schools and courses as plans B and C will make more sense. Shalom.

Sorry I'm quoting you because I don't know how to ask without it.

Has anyone gotten admission from Hamm-lippstadt University of applied sciences for BSc Electronics Engineering? The application period is from December to July. If you should apply by December, will you receive an admission letter before or after July 15th?

It depends on if the course has NC or not. They must wait for all the applications before the official selection if it has NC. If otherwise, the selection can always be made before the end of the application period. But why not apply to as many courses and universities as possible as plans B and C? Shalom

Must everyone get approval mail from the embassy after interview?

How much can a single man survive on in a month if accommodation is taken care of in Stuttgart

During my time, yes, because you will need the Email with instructions on submitting your password and travel insurance for 3 or 6 months. But if it is a rejection, they will send the documents you submitted during the interview and a rejection letter using the prepaid envelope submitted without Email from the Embassy.

Your monthly living cost will depend on many factors but prepare €300 - 600 +/- per month for rent. If you are below 30yrs, €140+/- for insurance. You will pay for a semester ticket at the beginning of the semester. Food will also depend on your style and taste. 1kg of rice at less than €2, tomatoes and other stuff are sold in Kg. Milk - €1/L, Bread - €2+/-, water - €3.2/6L +/-, kaka - <€3 etc. Let me know if you need more clarification. Shalom

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie, and I need an advise.
I'm a Bsc graduate in Economics Education, looking to do masters in Germany, Finland or Austria, I'm not really enthusiastic in doing Education, what else can I pursue with my bsc in educational foundation with economics option with a cgpa 2.5, what other direction or universities in these three countries, what if I want to go into public administration or business administration, how do I go about it, cos I'm really confused.

Well, this is a German thread. Maybe you should be specific - Germany, Austria or Finland. You can ask your question based on Germany here and visit the other two country's threads for more insight. Shalom

Greetings, brothers, sisters and all my country people, how una dey? It has been a while here. I hope everyone is pushing forward, no matter the situation. Journey of life and different activities have limited my appearance here to once in a blue moon. I will be answering as many questions as possible here this week on everything related to Germany (mainly in the evening). I may not be able to say much on the Nigerian part, but I can still pull out some biscuits from my old bag.

The struggle was/is worth it, even though things are becoming more demanding on Nigeria's part due to the visa timeline and other inconvenient policies that have been introduced. However, giving up should not be an option if you still have a small opportunity because they are making things easier here, step by step, than before regarding their immigration rules.

Wishing everyone a big success, and may God smoothen every difficult path to achieving your goals in Jesus' name. Shalom

If someone can get enrolment certificate, does it means I can resume anytime and the embassy will not raise a flag

It depends. In some cases, that is not enough. The Embassy might ask you to get a letter from your school stating that you can still resume. Some schools will happily give it to you while some will tell you it is too late. Shalom

Is it normal for embassy to hold on to SL after issuing visa ? This happened to me as i have received my visa but my SL is still with them

No, it is not because you will still need the same SL to change your visa to a residence permit and to renew it till the end of your program. So contact them ASAp maybe it was a mistake or something. Shalom

Clear throat!!!!! Good afternoon everyone congratulations to those that have gotten their admissions and visas in part 6, come to DE and succeed. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the page I was in part 6, I know a lot would have actually happened in-between. In any case and or no matter how difficult it is staring at you, just believe that it is doable. Do not give up because that shouldn't be an option. I have told few people around me this same thing when it seemed it is not going to work out, but they are in Germany today to the glory of God. Friends will despise you, family members that have promised heaven on earth will act as if they do not know you anymore when the reality comes, but in all these things, always believe that you are more than conqueror through Christ that loved us. The fact might be saying it is not possible, but the truth is you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. These are just a few lines of encouragement for those that are passing through so many difficulties in this journey. Many of us have been in such situations before, but to the glory of God today, it has become a testimony.

I am using this medium to register myself to part 7 of this great movement. Now that the examination is over, I think I have little time to contribute in my own little way once again to this movement.

Tips for the incoming students:

** Lower your expectation no matter how promising
** So also to your friends and family members. Let them also know that you are going there to study and you have limited time as per work as a student. This will also allow them to lower their expectation too since some believe once you are in abroad, you are already making millions every week.
** Take your study serious instead of hustling alone in your first year, after that you can then work on how you can manoeuvre and balance yourself between study and hustling since you must have gotten used to the system.
** Money does not fall on a tree, you will have to work for every cent you earn
** Connect with people in your school, city and state. No matter what, they will or can have information that you might not have at your disposal
** Come with your original certificates as well as a certified copy of your certificates. This is because if your program is going south, you can quickly find your level before it is too late.
** If you have a visa for school and city A but eventually going to school and city B, irrespective of what your decision will be, keep city B to yourself till you have entered Germany(you are on Germany soil and not airport) because you make your next move on it.
** Do not forget your winter jacket and boot, but you do not have to buy a lot of them. When you enter, you can get a better one even if it is a bit costly, it will not matter so far it can swallow the cold.
** Whatever skills you have, try and polish it very well and make sure you know the Knitty-gritty of it because it might be your saving grace here.
** If you haven't done so, open a LinkedIn account and try to grow your network even while still in Nigeria. This might come handy in your job search.

If anyone is coming to Hamburg, you can buzz me and let's see what we can do.

The tips are not limited to these, they are just some out of many. This country has everything for you to succeed as an average Nigerian if you are diligent and not lazy without the need to know a commissioner, minister or senator. Finally, please run away from crime and all its appearances no matter how small.

Wishing you all a successful planning, preparation and journey to Germany. Shalom

After your interview the embassy would be with your original documents till the visa processing is done...usually 4-6weeks could take long..there have been cases of 8weeks and more

For denial cases, documents are been returned within two weeks after interview

In addition, rejection comes between 1 -2 weeks if it is from the Embassy, but takes longer if it is from the Allien office. The two bodies must be satisfied with the application before the visa can be issued. Shalom

Then how do you justify the second BSc with the embassy at the interview? Why second BSc instead of masters?

That is why it is called an interview. Prepare very well for that justification, otherwise, it could turn to something else. Shalom.

Every one. I hope am safe too. I have submitted my documents online and I have also sent the certified copies to uniassist via DHL.

What's bothering me now is the fact that I haven't pick a course of study I don't know if I have miss a step or Is it after my documents has been reviewed by uniassist, that I will be able to choice from the list of courses been offered by the school? Thanks in anticipation guys.

Go to the school website and apply as many courses as you want; only this VPD is enough for all the courses. You will have to print the application confirmation and send it to them as a simple copy. The vpd cam also be sent to them later by Email. The school has very high acceptance rate but the resumption deadline of Nov. 14th can not be extended in any way. Best of luck and shalom.

Thank you my brother, I owe you a plate of jollof rice grin

I will advise you to be fast about this school and also apply to other related courses. Your chances of getting the admission is high due to the fact that they received not so much applications because of fees and application processes. The application processes is in two ways. You will need to first apply to Konstanz in BW and send your certified documents to them for verification, the result of this verification will be sent back to you in hard copy form(you will not get the soft copy). This result is what you will use to now apply to Ulm within the application timeline. Shalom

Uni Assist said.... they CAN. I think this is the best interpretation of what Uni Assist is saying. Note they didn't use the Should or Must

Shalom

Read what is inside the picture I posted above. Authentication is no longer sufficient but verifying it online with scratch card is now necessary. That is a verification of someone that used NECO certificate and not printout. It was also certified along with other documents. English is not their first Language, thus, using should/can in place of must can be excused. Shalom

It is a new rule, thus, they might not be consistent with it yet. But that is the current rule either printout or certificate. Shalom

yes you can work as a student for about 20 hours per week, you can earn between 400-500 euro or above and your monthly living cost is about 200-300 euro. you also get discount as a student when buying things.

For monthly living cost to be 200-300 Euro will definitely depend on the city and if he is lucky to get a cheap student apartment. In my city, the cheapest student accommodation in a student dorm is €244 while the highest is €400, then add insurance of about €92 for public or €36 for private monthly, food, semester fees and so on. €200 - €300 is not feasible per month but maybe €400 - €500 depending on the city and some other factors. It is better to overestimate than to underestimate. Shalom

Thank you. I did not know about this. Although the school still wants a signed application form in hard copy sent to uniassist when I visited their website and there was no specific place for signing on the form. However I did that still under the declaration part and every other page of the form just in case, I have sent it already. Also I believe some schools only require the scanned copy of that application form as part of the new development but not all. I did both to avoid doing too much later.

The best thing is to always follow what the school says. It is a new development though. Below is the information on the print application form page of uni-assist. Note the next line in bold form.

"Clicking on "Print application" will generate a PDF file of your application that you can preview and print out for your own records.

Do I have to send documents to uni-assist by post?
Most universities require officially certified copies of your educational certificates (including the overview of subjects and grades) and certified copies of the translations. Send these by post to uni-assist. Uploading these documents is not sufficient.

You can find our address and further useful information on the uni-assist website under: Sending an application and assemble your documents.

Print application "

Yes, Thank you but I don't see the difference in what you mentioned and what I mentioned tbh, I used the term "process"which includes everything they have to do with one's application while you used the term "verified". I am just giving my own personal experience as well. All the same thank you for the info.

YW sire. However, the difference is the present and past tense. Uni-assist processes applications according to how they are being submitted and also entered into their system, like on a queue of a thing. Verification of certificates by uni-assist does not take days but hours or even less in some situations. Payment does not mean they have started processing your application, no, not at all. It will remain on queue as well as someone that has not paid but has submitted his application until they get to your turn. If you have not made your payment when they get to your turn, then the application will be automatically become incomplete. I hope you understand what I am trying to clarify here? Shalom
