Igbos are traders and not businessesmen. Get the difference.
How many Igbos are in the top 5 list of wealthiest Nigerians? Whatever you like you can call it, I am not part of your madness and hate. The point is that many graduates have been produced with monies made from those businesses or trades(whatever you call it). Okoyiboz3: Go and die. I repeat, if you come from a mediocre family, that's your unfortunate luck. Your problem is that because you don't know your history, you swallow the rubbish fed to you.
Read up the exploits of the Yoruba soldiers in the civil war. Yoruba soldiers practically ended that war. Obasanjo, Adekunle, Iluyomade, even Banjo led the Only Biafran offensive. Go and check how Yorubas in Pre-Colonial era fought wars regularly. The Igbos you're mentioning never won any war in the history of the entire Igboland. Have you ever heard of any Igbo notable Igbo Kingdom?
You think warfare is making noise and running around? Go and read up on alternative warfare. Those are what ended the Biafran war.
Go and get properly educated and stop disgracing yourself. The igbos are not interested in fighting war with people to hijack them and make them slaves. What we want is just allow us to do business freely, compete with us if u can, and if u cannot, that's your problem. |

In the light of the above stated truth, it is therefore advisable that Yoruba shouldnt be seen as crying more than the other tribes that can't stand alone comfortably. They shouldn't display acts of desperados by jumping into every Biafra thread and pouring out virtuperations. My humble submission though. Thanks. |

Why do you and your Yoruba brothers feel so pained over Biafra matter even more than those of us Igbos who are not ipob members? It clearly makes you look as if you cant live without the igbos. I can't imagine igbos getting so angry over Yoruba or any other tribe saying that they want to leave Nigeria. While i am not an ipob member, I advice that you and your people should calm down in reacting to Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB issues pls. I strongly believe that Yoruba can stand alone just like us so you people should do something about your reactions towards Nnamdi Kanu issues to avoid looking like desperados. Chai. Musicians, movie stars and footballers are part of the yoruba thread. Remember that the Yoruba thread was filled with Igbo companies up to page 100 and a little above it before the Igbo thread started so dont use number of pages to conclude. Meanwhile, i like both the contributions of both the Yoruba and the Igbos as being displayed in both threads. They are really trying for this country and i believe one day the two tribes will discover their real enemy and stop fighting themselves. |

You mocking him for living in UK while speaking but last I checked so did Nnamdi before he moved back to Nigeria. I'm even one that despise Afonjas and their nature but you lots are making a fool of yourselves while trying to mock them. We southerners are truly the most stupidest set of people in that shithole. Whenever someone from east or south speak against the northerners evil ways, the Afonja are out like goats to insult and mock the said person. Likewise when someone from West speak out against north evil ways,,you'll see either people feel east or south to mock the said person. Totally turning attention away from the north. I've never seen this level of stupidity from what southerners do on this forum. Truly south stupidity deserve it's own award as you lots have yet to realize you're a puplet
Don't you people all have shame at all? Some bunch of uneducated fools up north controls una and anyone who dares to speak up, morons from South will there to scratch their yansh and make a fool of themselves to mock the person.

deomello: Again, if you are so rich, smart, productive and blessed with all the things you listed and beat your chest with, then why are you shouting marginalization? Shouldn't the people you are richer and better than be the ones shouting marginalization. See how meaningless and pointless that was.
You can not have it both ways.
Nearly everything you listed here are not located in iboland, they don't employ any worker in iboland, they don't pay any taxes OGR in iboland abd this is why there are no jobs in iboland, this ios wy they must leave and head to the SW for surviavl, this is why the IGR and budgets in your states are the lowest.
If other states in the SW apart from Lagos are not better than your townd and villages, they what are your people doing there?
Why go to places where the people there are poor and you are better than?
Shouldn't they be the one running to your so called rich and prosperous towns and villages to make ends meet like you do all over the SW.
I don't even know why you are arguing because this is common sense and even.
I know you people live and breath meaningless and empty chest beating, but obvious realities doesn't suport your chest beating, there's just nothing there, you are just decieving yourself because people can see and even you yourself can see hence crying merginilization all over the lace. Oga there is no region that does not shout marginalization in Nigeria. Its just a normal thing here. North, South, East and West are all guilty of shouting marginalization at one time or the order so trying to make it an igbo thing alone is quite hypocritical. I have been to Ogun state, Ekiti state and Oyo state and there is nothing fantastic about them, in terms of beauty, that makes Igbo land appear bad before them. If you are telling me about land mass then I can agree. I also agree in the area of industries built in your region but that's mainly in Lagos. . For me both Yoruba and Igbo are really trying in this country. We dont need to be bashing ourselves all the time. We are too educated to keep engaging in such primitive act. Kindly allow the guy to finish posting the Igbo owned investments he is posting here. Pls stop distracting them. We are enjoying what they are posting. Thanks for complying to my request. |

Tomorrow is sunday, a day that Christians wake up early to prepare for church.
Southern Nigerians have christians in the majority and come sunday they all will dress in their best outfits and walk piously into the church to sing, pray, prophecy, preach and speak in tongue with the same polluted mouth they have used to curse and abuse themselves within the week.
When the pastor is preaching they will lift up their supposed holy hands in acceptance to the blessings being pronounced by the preacher. The same hand they used to type hate messages here. They will use the same hand to carry their holy bible.. Quite pathetic.
Jesus taught us severally to love one another as ourselves but christians in Nigeria are failing to do this rather they do the contrary. Pls stop ridiculing the efforts and sacrifice that Jesus made to deliver the gospel message of love to us. Enough of the hatred pls. The scriptures said that whosoever hates his brother is a murderer. Examine yourself.
Mod kindly move this thread to the front page. Just a humble request. Thanks in advance. |

igbodefender: There should be a difference between blaming Yoruba's and blaming Awolowo. Awolowo gave Igbos only 20 pounds but in everyday life, I have seen countless Yorubas so kind and hospitable, you will begin to wonder if they are descendants of Abraham who accommodated strangers, not knowing they were angels God sent to earth for a mission, and thus brought divine favour to his house. And here I am talking about both Yoruba Muslims and Christians.
Of course, no ethnic group are complete saints, but Igbos should not be deceived to transfer Awolowo's percieved sins to innocent Yoruba's who would have opposed him if they could. Awolowo couldnt have done what he did without the approval of the Head of state, Gowon. Now nobody is mentioning Gowon in this matter, only Awolowo is being blamed here. I dont think we are being objective in the way our people blame Awolowo only. |

You can drive through Onitsha within 7 minutes if there is no heavy traffic. No single company in the East that can be compared with British/American Tobacco or even Yale Biscuits and confectionery in Ibadan.
It's foolhardy for someone to be comparing Onitsha or Aba township to Ibadan! Yea you may be right to a large extent but you have not asked yourself how many of your people are benefitting from those companies in your place? One thing is for a company to be built in your state, another thing is for your people to make maximum benefit of the privilege of having the company in your place. That’s the most important thing. I am a blogger and I understand the media game by one ethnic group who despite their stong government backup think Igbos are individually overshadowing their light in the nation. They have used the media to convince the gullible that Ndi Igbo are drug peddlers, kidnappers, dominant in nature and so on. When you more successful than your counterparts they do everything to bring you down to their level and that what Ndi Igbo is facing in the hands of Nigeria today. Igbo has the best skin tones and they breed beautiful offspring, Igbos has the highest number of successful people, In fact there are several clear evidences that other ethnic groups when they ponder on them, their heart breads jealousy for Ndi Igbo. I am not commenting based on the post but for some ugly comments. I am Ikwerre and I love being called Onye Igbo. Wene My dear dont mind them, they dont understand the game. Let their media keep lying to them while our people continue with their hussling.
