Q: What about 1st Corinthians 13, Jesus was definitely subversive (disruptive, troublemaking, inflammatory, insurgent, insurrectionary, insurrectionist, rabble rousing) but maybe his subversiveness came from the fact that he could passionately disagree with love and respect for the one he disagreed with. Anger and rage don’t correspond with love.

Jim: I’d say ransacking the temple, and referring to the religious leaders as a “brood of vipers” isn’t too nice. One of the nice-sounding but false premises associated with religion/Christianity is that anger is bad.

Q: I don’t believe anger is bad because some religion told me. I think one can be angry at a situation without being angry at the person involved. Plus neither of us believe everything presented in the bible is accurate, so why choose to believe the story of the cleansing of the temple is accurate? Why not let love dictate truth?

Ecclesiastes were the words of solomon written according to his wisdom and experiences in life. Read chapter one of it and you will see it clearly stateed. He wrote wrote it as his words not as what God told him to write.

What the eternal fire used in Jude 7 means is that it was fire that came from God. It didn't come through bomb explosion or tanker explosion or through anything on earth here. It came directly from God. Hebrews 12:29 says- our God is a consuming fire. When the scripture said that we have eternal life in Christ Jesus does it mean that people in Christ don't die here on earth?

Ok your answer is simple. But since the the same God that meted out evil to people in the scripture also did good, how come the separation?
I mean, he sent evil to the Egyptians so as to do good to the Isrealites. Many other cases like this in the bible. While his action may be an evil to a people in the bible, to the other people, same action is yielding good to them.

Again, carving out your own God does it really change anything in God? I mean if God is God of good and God of evil, will your carving him out as only good change the 'evil' side of him? Bro the words of Jesus about the everlasting fire are very clear. In Mark 9;43 Jesus fully described it as the fire that cannot be quenched. Trying to twist it with what Jude said wont help you bro. Luke 3;17 describes it as unquenchable fire. These are clear words that can be understood.

If you want to use Jude 7 to describe the word 'eternal' as a temporary thing in the bible, what you are implying is that when the bible said that God is eternal or everlasting God, it means he is temporary, he will cease to exist someday. Where the bible said eternal life or everlasting life it means temporary life, a life that will cease to exist someday. Wherever the bible used the word 'eternal' or 'everlasting' it means temporary.

You cant describe the other places where the word 'eternal' or 'everlasting' is applied as truly eternal or everlasting and single out 'eternal fire' or 'everlasting fire' as the one that is temporary. NO SIR. That one na ojoro of the highest order.

Young man if you have the gift of prophesy to God be the glory.

The point I want to raise here and caution you about is the idea of trying to use the gift of God which you received freely to minister to people to make money.

You need to stop asking someone what he ll give to you if you minister to him. Your P.A. Picks your call and after hearing out what the person has to say the next thing he will ask is what the person will give to you in return. Where is it done in the bible? Where did the apostle place money before the ministry given to them?

And the worst is that a person who has nothing to offer may not even have any direct contact with you at the end of the day. This is really bad. You people are painting christianity so bad. Why are you people giving so much attention to money like our politicians.

Jesus said in Matthew 10:8. Freely ye have received, freely give.

Why are you people not keeping to this scripture? It was after my encounter with you people that I understood why you will come here and declare free prophecy. So other days are not free? Someone has to say what he will give you before you prophesy? Too bad. Better change from this unbiblical practice. If you are a good follower of Jesus you must follow his instruction of ministering freely. Stop asking people what they ll give you. Ken4Christ: frosbel, I think I know where your problem lies. I am inclined to believe that you are a Jehovah Witness. Please confirm. Your problem is that your are trying to apply reasoning to the word of God. Most of the things that are scriptural are not reasonable. I can answer all your questions very well but I will not waste my time because you will still not believe. You are trying to figure how God could destroy mankind in a place of torment for ever. Your senses cannot take it. So you therefore conclude that there can be no place like hell. What you did is to decide on what to believe, then you start looking for scriptures that appears to support your belief why ignoring those that contradicts them.

It is not God that determines those that go to hell. It is your choice of rejecting Christ that sends you there. Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels. Those who will not believe the gospel or live right will go there also. Jesus made it so clear. "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:" (Matthew 25:41).

Jesus says there is everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. frosbel says there is nothing like that. Who are we going to believe? Jesus or frosbel? You think you are fighting for God but you are acting against his word and his will. You are telling fools that one day Satan will celebrate his freedom. Don't you see how absurd your thinking is?

Read my post on the contrast between hell and grave and refute those contrast. I am inclined to believe that you are also not born again. Only those that are born again understands the word of God. "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14). You see why you cannot receive the truth of God's word. They sound foolish to you. You ve told him the truth. Frosbel is just guided by his emotions rather than the bitter truth of God's word. It is very easy for any fool to rejoice in his message and accept it wholeheartedly since he can live his sinful life on earth and be totally annhiliated by fire at the end of the day. What a cheap message. Which sinner would not like to hear that he won't be tormented forever in the lake of fire? Frosbel's message is as cheap as the message of catholics on purgatory. Very real my brother. Forget about the scripture quoting jamboree that they are engaging in just to satisfy their feel-good emotion that eternal punishment is not in the bible. Running from old testament to new testament is not what makes a teaching biblical and correct. Thank God for Ken4Christ. I believe God brought him here to set these biblixal quotations in the right perspective. Now this is another manifestation of God's love for us whereby he will not allow anybody here to perish out of ignorance. If frosbel is sincere in his bible research he should take a second look at his stand on this issue because ken4Christ threw in more light here. Thanks.
