amiaforaussie:
Good day Ause, thank you so much for this platform, it's very educative and informative. I av been following up from the first page for awhile now but I need help on determining who is more preferable to be the principal applicant btw I & my spouse, Here are our details :
My spouse
B.sc - Computer and information science(Nigeria)
M.sc- Telecommunications engineering (UK)
He also have certifications from India on Microsoft technology
He work at an IT firm from Nov 2011 before going for his masters from Sept 2013 to Feb 2015 and he is currently working there from then till date, that's two years plus working experience if am ryt.

Mine
B.tech- Agricultural Economics
Presently working at an agricultural firm since September, 2015

1) Pls who has a better chance as principal applicant?
2) Can he make use of his masters in engineering rather than d B.sc, since IT is competitive
3) or should I be the principal applicant since agricultural consultant is not as competitive as Computer &information science?

From a personal point of view, I think you should be re principal applicant, You can easily nominate agricultural consultant, check the job description on anzsco website and see if it goes in line with your current occupation. The main reason you should be the primary applicant is simply because there's little or no competition in the occupation compared to computer engineering. I applied as an agricultural consultant, And i was done in little time.
The advice is based on personal views anyways.

QUESTION:
Should I go ahead with skill assessment in Sales Manager or wait till July 1, 2017 when new occupation is updated by the Northern Territory who seems to be the only state I meet the minimum requirement, and offering a nomination on this occupation

Using the point calculator, I already have 55 points out of the required 60 points based on my own assessment though.
Thank you all, and hoping to get an insight from your pool of experience.
[/quote]

From my little experience, I think you need to have been employed in a field highly related to your qualifications to have a shot at a positive assessment. I don't think a sales manager occupation with agricultural qualification will fly with them.

Hi everyone, please I need some comment on this issue. My brother submit application to VETASSESS and today they sent him a message and here is the content;

SKILLED MIGRATION ASSESSMENT
Nominated Occupation: Chemist
(ANZSCO Code: 234211)
Qualification/s: 1. Bachelor of Science awarded in 2013 by Obafemi
Awolowo University, Nigeria is assessed as comparable
to the educational level of an AQF Bachelor degree
and is therefore at the required level.
Field of study Chemistry is highly relevant.
Country of employment: Nigeria
Employment assessed: 1. Chemist, xxxx Fresh Water (xx/xxxx to xx/xxxx)
The employment Chemist,xxxx Fresh Water (xx/xxxx to xx/xxxx) does not
meet the minimum requirements for this occupation as
the tasks undertaken are not highly relevant to the ANZSCO tasks
for the nominated occupation
The employment described above does not meet the minimum requirements for
this occupation as
According to ANZSCO, a Chemist studies the chemical and
physical properties of substances, and develops and monitors
chemical processes and production. Based on the documents
provided, the main purpose of the above employment position
appears to be for the purpose of ensuring that the product complies
with health policies and regulations regarding drinking water, which
is not relevant to your nominated occupation as defined by
ANZSCO.
A positive assessment of both qualifications and employment is required for a
positive Skills Assessment Outcome.
Skills Assessment Outcome: Negative
Based on the evidence provided, the qualifications and/or employment described above do not meet the Skills
Assessment requirements of your nominated occupation.

Please for people that have passed the assessment as chemist, please I need your contribution on what can do to change this negative to positive.

Ok
Well, something similar happened to my friend last year, same vetassess. Employment does not correspond and she got negative, what we did was simple. We viewed the anzsco requirements and we realized our packaging was initinitially wrong.

We got statement of service from four of her bosses and we let them know how we want it. Depends on relationship with bosses anyways.

To cut the story short, reassessment came out positive

Good morning everyone and congratulation to those that have realized their dreams through this wonderful forum. To all the seniors here, may God bless you for all your assistants. please I need your advice on what to do.
I am a graduate of agric- economics with no experience in this field but own and run a restaurant for over 12 years now.
I discovered I could nominate either café and restaurant manager or agricultural consultant which are both assessed by Vetassess.
the problem now is that my qualification does not relate to a restaurant manager and as for agricultural consultant which relate to my qulifiaction I do not have any work experience at all. Meanwhile Vetassess requires that your qualification must be relevant to choosen occupation. please everyone, I need your advice

Well, from your explanation, you seems very qualified for both occupation, but vetasses might not assess you on that job experience vis a vis your qualification, they must work hand in hand. But my bosses in this forum can suggest something else based on your job experience

Please oga Bnimz, bellong and other great people that have gone through this successfully, I am presently in the process of uploading my documents for visa 189, I want to know if it is OK to just upload high quality scans of my passport biopage and birth certificate or is compulsory to get them certified before uploading. I asked this question here earlier but got no response. Please help a brother.

I uploaded mine like that, high colour quality, and I was fine with it.

Hello everyone belong and co....please I have HND Agric Extension and Management no experience years since I've graduated though I'm into buying and selling stuffs like red oil, plaintains on a very large scale and sell to market women...please I want to go through this PR route I've read everywhere up and down don't even know where I fit in aspa work to choose cause I've got no experience in my course of study or even any other stuffs. My wife she has a shop where she sells baby stuffs on a large scale. I have someone in down OZ but i dont know where i fit in. Help me oh

Well, you would have fit in for agricultural consultant with your occupation, but vetassess requires a qualification In the range of an AQF for the occupation , which means 5years in most universities here. Also, experience In a highly related field, I doubt buying and selling will fly with them. So that seems like the basics bro

Rewrite your English test for 20points.

The only visa you can apply for is a 489 visa which requires 50 points but it is not a PR, only a pathway.
No point going through the same process twice. Dust your book again and prepare for the English test.

@hordunayodt,

Your situation is not peculiar. Only a notification that the application has been alloted to a processing team.

Don't panic, you are on track.

thanks Oga bellong

I'll be of help of help in any way I can as per documentation.
