Christianity Etc › Re: Easter In Nigeria by Horus(m): 10:31pm On Apr 10, 2009
The truth is that those so-called wise and prudent theologians know absolutely nothing about the so-called resurrection simply because it never happened. Easter, or the celebration of the resurrection, is merely a tradition, a tradition that you have been taught from childhood, and coming into maturity you have accepted it because that is what you were taught. That is what you read bout. That is what your parents made you observed every Easter Sunday. Thus, you continued to go along with it and before you knew it, you had carelessly assumed what you now believe without question or proof. Easter is the feast of feasts celebrated in honor of the risen Christ. You have even reached the point where you will defend vigorously and emotionally your belief, a belief that can lead you straight to hell. It has become human nature to flow with the stream, and to go along with the crowd, to believe and perform like those around you. And, even when you stumble on the truth, you will not believe because like the majority of the people, you stubbornly refuse to believe what you are unwilling to believe. There is an old saying that says: He who is convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.

Let’s analyze this casting of pebbles at the devil situation. Here you have thousands of hot Muslims gathered around three stone pillars, desperately trying to get there twenty-one stones inside of the pits. If you really took the time to analyze this you would see that this ritual had to have been man-made, unless you think that your God, “Allah” would set you up to get hurt. Think about it, thousands of pilgrims are all gathered around these pits, throwing rocks. That means thousands of rocks, some large, are being thrown towards the front and all of the people in the front are getting knocked in the head. Is any body shouting a prayer for these people?
Christianity Etc › Re: Who Is A Jew, Who Is An Isrealite And Who Is Jewish by Horus(m): 6:41pm On Apr 10, 2009
The so-called Jews never refer to themselves as Hebrews; it's Israeli or Jewish. These words, Jewish or Israeli are not in the scriptures. These terms are used because they know that they are not the original Israelites. That's why they never say that they live in the land Israel. They use the term, the state of Israel. The word "Jew" itself was a nickname for one of the tribes of Judah (Genesis 29:31-35); and other people (Go-Ee, Gentiles), who were not Hebrews, but managed to adopt the way of life of the tribe of Judah.

Christianity Etc › Re: Do You Think Prayer/praying Is Overated? by Horus(m): 10:04am On Apr 10, 2009
If God went to sleep on the seventh day and Christ is worshipped on Sunday then who are they (Sunday churchgoers) praying to? Because God is sleeping, unless you are trying to wake him up and serve him on his day of sleeping . . . God worked a whole six days and now on Sunday morning he’s laying in his bed. This is how he makes this sound. . . . God is sitting in his chair, or laying in his bed he goes to sleep on Sunday morning, and you go to church on Sunday morning and go, “oh God, oh God, oh God.” Then you’re wondering why your prayers are not being answered. The reason why your prayers are not being answered is quite simple; because God sleeps on Sunday. You have to change the day ; try Wednesday when God is up working. Have you ever tried to disturb your mother and father when they were working (or sleeping)?.You don’t thank God for health and the gifts that you have. You’re in church on Sunday begging for more stuff.

Mitochondria DNA is only inherited from the mother. It’s not a mixture of both parents’ genes, like nuclear DNA, so it preserves a family record that isn’t scrambled in every generation.
The word Mitochondria is from the New Latin: Greek mitos, warp thread + Greek khondrion, diminutive of khondros, meaning “grain, granule.”
If a woman fails to have a daughter her genes disappear, because the mitochondria DNA does not pass on. The same way you are taught that a family name disappears if a son is not born, so it is with mitochondria. This was a deliberate attempt by men to suppress the dominating gene in women, by placing the philosophy that without a son, the family lineage dies. This is not true, if a daughter is not born in the family, then your genes disappear, because the mitochondria DNA can only be inherited by the female of the family.

Belief is ignorance. Belief is to ignore the facts, intentionally or ignorantly. If one has to believe, it means he or she does not know, and if one does not know, that is ignorance. Hence, belief is ignorance and religious beliefs without the facts is ignorance; So demand that anyone attempting to impose upon you their religious beliefs to produce the facts. If you look in the midle of the words believe and belief you will see the word lie. The most deceptive word in religion is the word "believe" or "belief", Because a person can believe anything and this means that a person can believe, and be one hundrend percent wrong. But knowledge is knowing and knowledge is correct information."To know" gives one confidence, but belief infers doubt. Knowledge can be checked out by one or more of three test: Experience, Evidence and Reason. Knowledge is always logical and it reasons out.

Church leaders accept tithes in the name of God. They'll say “God needs your help building the church, ” What does god need with a multi-million dollar church? Nothing. These are the same so-called church leaders that you'll find riding in fancy cars, eating the best foods, living in expensive homes and living the life of wealthy people while their followers scrape and struggle to do “God's will” by tithing. These so-called leaders will lead congregations in the worse of the worse neighborhoods and on their way to church to preach on Sundays or Saturdays or whatever day they declare to be the Sabbath. They will step over the homeless or the less fortunate.

Under Ya'radua, we miss the days of OBJ
Under OBJ, we miss the days of Abacha
Under Abacha, we miss the days of IBB
Under IBB, we miss the days of Buhari.

My point? The cycle never ends. Maybe we should try and look ahead and stop spending so much time looking behind. Perhaps if our youths spend some time looking ahead, they would not have been complicit in the rigging that accompanied the last election.  I must confess, Nigerians have truly been blessed with the leaders we deserve!
The leaders are Mirrors. The head of state and his goverment reflect the collective consciousness, be it military regime, democracies, or anarchies. If a government is unstable or corrupt, or if a tyrann comes to power, it is because the collective consciousness is at that level. If the results of a government are limited, its is because the consciousness of the nation is limited. A government can never be better than its people. Nowadays, the focus is on the fruits, while it should be on the root.

Smoke & Mirrors - (Nigeria's First CGI Movie)

The Smoke & Mirrors Movie was made employing similar techniques used to produce movies like SIN CITY, 300, and SKY CAPTAIN & THE WORLD OF TOMORROW. The movie was shot on a sound stage in Veritas Studios, Lagos, against a green screen backdrop. The entire environment was then placed in using computer generated imagery (CGI). It was financed by Adonijah Owiriwa of ADONIS PRODUTIONS, produced by Ibironke Ojesebholo of CEROMS MEDIA, & directed by Ehiz Ojesebholo of NANTOONS STUDIOS in 2008, in Nollywood, Nigeria.
SMOKE & MIRRORS was recently nominated at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for Achievement in Visual Effects.

The churches are all competing against one another. There are churches who are of the same denomination, in the same town, the same diocese, which mean they have the same beliefs and worship the same God. Yet, they never come together. What is so ironic is that these churchgoers all feel that church is the place for unification and love.

You may ask, does politics have to do with Christianity? If you closely examine its history and heroes, you will find facts saying that this fabricated religion is nothing but politics. It has been the vehicle that enables the evil one (Azazl) to pursue and reach his political aims. The proof is that everywhere the doctrine of Christianity has been propagated, its recipients became the subjects of that nation which sponsored the teachers. From that point onward, every facet of their lives was governed by and according to the whims of that nation.

Religion is For Drop Outs. People hold on to religion, like a crutch because they can't make it any other way. With religion you stop being responsible for your own actions and blame someone else like God when it's something you like and the Devil when it's something you don't like.

Lagos Safe City Project - 10,000 Surveillance Cameras to be Installed

Lagos, the largest megacity in Sub-Saharan Africa, plans to install 10,000 solar-powered closed circuit cameras all over the metropolis, under the Lagos Safe City Project.Speaking at a demonstration event, the Lagos State Governor revealed that “18 million people can not be protected and policed by 33,000 people.” “This is impossible, he said, “and no matter how high we try to increase the number of officers, it is evident we can not continue to do the same things and expect different results. The governor continued: "In an information technology driven world we have to be counted as one of those states and communities who will adopt best practices, cameras, sensors, tracking devices are the nerve center of these facilities that would assist men and officers of the police force, fire service among others to do their duty much more effectively."Lagos, the financial hub of Nigeria has one of the highest crime rates in the world, lacks a reliable emergency response services and efficient crime control system. The Lagos Safe City Project funded by the private-public sector generated Lagos Security Trust Fund  hopes to address some these problems, via a Central Security Command Unit, where the cameras will be managed remotely (wireless connection), and used to coordinate security, emergency responses, and traffic needs of the state."This is only one step in the whole platform", according to the governor. He stated "Lagosians must recall that the platform started with the signing and naming of streets, providing directional signs for responders to get to crisis center on time with the deployment of the emergency number, "767" which is toll free. With this initiative, we are determined to make a difference." The Governor disclosed that the Central Security Command Unit would be equipped with men from the various security outfits, including the Nigeria Police, the military, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, the ambulance and fire services, adding that each of these men will not only be able to receive distress calls but will also be able to dispatch commands to their men in the field for necessary follow-ups.
