my daily beauty routine begins with a foaming face wash that has all the wonderful and natural ingredients that wake-up my skin and make it glow. the next steps ~ deep moisturising using treatment oils and lotions ( i have very dry skin) ~ pluck out stray hairs on my eyebrows ~ apply a lip balm ~ use a make-up primer ~ apply make up depending on the what i hav planned for the day. on a regular day with nothin much planned, i'll wear a cream powder to even out my skin tone, outline my eyebrows, a little mascara and some light lip gloss. of course if i'm heading out or in the mood to be glam, then its the works! My night time routine is fairly simple (at least i think so) ~ make-up removed using face wipes with some more natural and wonderful ingredients, this time to help my skin heal and relax ~ i try to take a shower esp if i've had a hard day and smother myself in baby oil ~ then i moisturise some more, a whiff of perfume and i'm ready for bed ![]() |

Gamine:I am indecisive as well and I found planning my wardrobe for the week saves me almost an hour standing and staring at my wardrobe, trying to find what to wear every morning. . . also it saves the mess of trying sumthin on and discarding it. the trick is to stick with whatever u hav laid out, whether u like it or not. in time u'll instinctlively know what outfits suit want days and moods ![]() As for the light meals, stocking up. . . i do my grocery shopping first thing on Saturday mornings (very early, sumtimes i dont take a shower befor i go ) i stock up on absolutely everything, and then some, , nothing like being in the mood for summin and finding out u r all out. , leave nothin to chance. If u succeed in getting everything out of the way, sundays will be stress free, even if u spend the whole day in church. u can have an early night! ![]() Just hang in there tho, u'll soon find ur rhythm ![]() |
mishooo:Nothin wrong in fainting. . . we both contributed in creating the child, so we both hav to contribute in bringing the child into the world. . . if he wants to faint or pray, he can do all that within the labour room but it is crucial he sees what i go through so he will appreciate what he has even more ![]() |
there is nothing like having your own space but i must admit I'd rather have people around me with living alone u have to develop a routine and stick to it as much as possible if you do all your washing up and cleaning over the weekend, there isnt much pressure over the week plan out your wardrobe for the whole week and lay everything out within easy reach, that way u don't mess up your room lookin for stuff when u are rushing to get ready in the mornings. experiment with light meals during the week, not necessarily microwave meals but easy to prepare stuff. . . its easier to manage plus u can look forward to a elaborate meals over the weekend. heres a tip, sundays i reserve for me time! I allow myself a long lie-in and just chill out. all my housework and personal grooming is done on Saturdays to get them out of the way and i do my socialising on Fridays and Saturday nights ( i do hav friends popping over during the week tho) so sundays are for chilling out, catching up on some much needed sleep and the bits and pieces u never get around to doing. the trick is to get into a routine that will help ease the pressure |
In my opinion, perfection in a guy and romance lies on the imperfections. . . My perfect guy is anything but. . . ~ he'll get on my nerves and make want to kill him sometimes ~ he'll have habits i really can't stand but i secretly think are cute ~ he'll let me walk all over him but put me in my place when i get out of line My idea of a perfect romance is not all flowers and gifts, its the little things ~ like catching his eye across a room full of people and sharing a private joke ~ its being together comfortably in complete silence without feeling the need to talk ~ its either of us moaning about doing something we'd rather not be doing but going ahead and doing because it makes the other happy ~ its spending long hours apart doing our own thing and also spending as much time together doing and talking about silly and pointless things and through it all we both are happy and secure in the knowledge about how we feel about each other |
GHDs use iconic technology which involves using ceramic on the blades rather than just traditional metal which reduces the frizzing and damaging impacts on the hair caused by the severe heat. GHDs not only straightens but helps lock in the frizz. . . eyeshadow:U say u've tried out a friends one, what model was it? cuz they do hav straighteners for African hair, there is a difference my dear, ur hair stays straighter an smoother for longer, I know ![]() I cant justify their price, but I suppose being a patented technology, they can set whatever price they like. I'm sure the prices will begin to drop whenever other companies come up with an equal or better product. |
I need a make-over, I've decided to get a hair-cut, something funky, spiky and stylish. Any suggestions on salons in London that give great hair cuts for African hair? Thanks ![]() Bleep |
