Found the thread about the nairalander that ran away to Kazakhstan. He got there in early May, he was so full of excitement about how "developed" the country was. What he didn't know was that the development started and ended in the airport he was posting from.

Reality hit him when he realized that the visa agent fraudulently collected $2000 for a useless six months visa which couldn't be used to find work anywhere in the country (not that there were jobs flowing everywhere, the language barrier made it impossible to get any type of work). He did a thread about his horrid experience in the country and warned Nigerians not to be fooled by any agent into coming there.

He eventually returned to Nigeria in July with nothing and went to hide in a friend's place in Abuja. He couldn't tell his people he was back due to shame I guess. Few days after his arrival, he committed suicide while he was alone in the friend's house. The story was reported in this thread below

She has already been granted visas twice, but this time the embassy wants to see her biometric number, and the last time she applied was in 2012 when she was denied a visa. She is now unsure of where the biometric number is located. if i leave that area blank will there be any implication to her application?

You can leave it blank no problem she will do biometric at the VFS. Is not compulsory section to fill in.

You can renew your passport by August 2023 meanwhile if you have visa already on your passport you can travel with it even with one month to expire passport.

Minimum 6 months to expire passport condition is applicable to only when you are applying for visa at embassy not when visa is already on your passport

Your listed countries are not regarded as travel history and it will not be accepted at VFS during your application
You might added them as travel history on your cover letter but wouldn't hold water .

I went there 2 weeks ago and I was told not ready, I decided to check back yesterday .
Meanwhile I did renewal and the portal was updated after collection . Don’t rely on text message or portal go there when is two months from your capture date to collect your passport

Since is renewal is going to be an issue. You have to go to NIN office to rearrange NIN name to match the passport.
ButIf you want his passport to be same on the NIN then you will need to do name rearrangement with immigration and follow due process, they might reefer you to NIS head office Abuja. Meanwhile still visit savicon in the immigration office to make enquiries
