What he is saying is that no one is calling for his invitation, cos I have also observed him too, the guy is good and should be looked into, unfortunately that winger area is too competitive right now.
okay....you're right the wing role is too competitive for now.....likewise olayinka.
I believe they will get a look in after the world cup....

Which nation won the U17 and U20 World cups with if I may add a large number of Nigerian origin playershuh

England will not win the world cup they are simply not good enough. However, there is no top 10 FIFA rated team that doesn't have a considerable number of players in the EPL.

The EPL is the most truly international football league in the world. It may be based in England bit the players ate not overwhelmingly English. That should answer your question.
'

Indeed the top performing players in the SE have come from the EPL
but the English national team....where all their players play in the epl....still can't go beyond the world cup quarter final....
a country still getting walloped by lowly costa Rica and Iceland....

it probably means the epl is not truly up to the level you try say here....or the English players are merely average players at their best....

what you have to say?

Samuel kalu who plays for Gent the Club of Moses Simon I don't know if any one is following that player but the boy is improving everyday by day,24 Belgium league games 5 goals and 7 assists, and mind you he plays from the right flank while Moses Simon played the left flank for Gent, just saying, the boy is improving everyday by day, people are not keeping an eye on the boy from this thread, they rather keep eye on sareen bazee who is never fit or some others oyinbo players who is yet to pledge future to super eagles

I think tbaba knows about Samuel kalu
almost every one here knows about Samuel kalu...
just because you noticed him recently shouldn't make you start to berates others....

My oga i believe you are one of the monikers who always understand my simple comments cos i know icon4s will surely understand my point.

Pls read it again,I used Emenalo as a case study that not only local coach gamble but foreigners does.Emenalo left Nigeria in 1986 as a fringe eagles player went to states then Belgium later regional league with no clear performance and made WC team.

Pls as a coach would you take such player to WC?did you know if Westerhoff was a local coach he would be called $10k coach.

Let me tell you something about Rohr that make him different from other coaches,he really studied Nigeria political structure very well especially our NFF and only thing that can rubbish him is being biased and corruption and he learnt a lot after South Africa loss.

Did you know a lot of accusations came up after that loss, allegations of agents influencing called up.The NFF instructed Rohr that they must vet his list through technical committee, so the man is a brave man with his style of doing things.
I understood you....
but I am trying to say...was that emenalo was still active and playing even though it was a regional league...but Gabriel's case was different...

moreover the messy things westerwolf tried then and get unpunished....no coaches date try such...because football over the years have improved...

it was bit more easier for Africa to win the world cup then...compare to now...

Are you saying playing for university is good for national team cos i remember Emenalo was playing for university of Boston as a student but that was even before US 94.

After he left university he joined Moleenbeek through Keshi link and later had his contract terminated and went to regional league in Germany equivalent of division four before he emerged from nowhere and made the team.

My point is this there are some players coaches stick with irrespective of performance at club level in national team.

I know if Rohr is a local coach a lot would have question continuous invitation of Agbo Uche, this is a player that had not played a single minutes even in friendly.

I know Rohr as a local coach inviting Akpeyi would have been tagged a $10k bribe coach but as a foreigner he know what he is doing as if being a black man is a curse.

That's was not even the issue but why berating local coaches just cos of Gabriel whereas we have some foreign coaches that have made some questionable decision and we always find excuses for them

Truly the foreign coaches are the best and far better but the way some always come hard on our coaches without proof, like collecting 10k dollars before making WC,acts as agents, forgetting Westerhoff and Bonfrere Jo brought this to our system.

Well Stephen Okechukwu Keshi won highest trophy in Africa which his Afcon and made 2nd round at WC that made him all time best Nigeria coach if we want to based it on time spent compared to Westerhoff 5 years

I wish Rohr surpass this achievement cos anything short of quarter final at WC with this talented team is not achievement cos am seeing some proposing lifetime contract,a good WC performance would do the talking and i wish my great eagles well and Rohr.
but emenalo was still active even though it was a local team every one knows...he was still playing...but in Gabriel case...he played no active football that season...
which coach will do that?
or call up....uchebo in place of imoh Ezekiel...or drop or ignore the likes of otigba just to part way for his boy azubiike egwekwe...

had it been an indigenous coach was still in charge...don't think some of this foreign groomed players will be on the GWG as it is today......

many a time the foreign coaches do better than the indigenous coaches not necessarily because they're better in tactics...but because of honesty and integrity....they uphold in team selection...

Your bias mind is legendary.

You mean Nwakali who has played zero match is in the system while Kayode who has played 3 matches for SE is not in the system?

You mean Onyekuru who has only played just 1 match is in the system but Kayode who has played 3 times for the Super Eagles is not in the system!?

So, Osimhen with one cap is in the system but Kayode is not despite more games for the Super Eagles!?

Na wa ooooooo.

Some people can be bias ooooooo.

I think there is something going wrong between ANS and Simon...probably a deal between both went wrong...

Gent Nigerian Duo Simon & Esiti Expose Super Eagles Strengths To Croatian Teammate

Gent Nigerian pair Anderson Esiti and Moses Simon have been discussing the 2018 World Cup Group D fixture between Nigeria and Croatia with their teammate, goalkeeper Lovre Kalinić
Lovre Kalinić, 27, is expected to be named to Croatia's roster for the tournament in Russia as backup to first-choice goalie, Monaco's Danijel Subasic, who started the last six matches played by the national team.

These days, Esiti is not in the plans of the Super Eagles coaching staff led by Gernot Rohr but Simon has been called up for the friendlies against Poland and Serbia this month.
''I have the impression of being underestimated by Nigerians, and I have Simon and Esiti in the club, two young Nigerian players who are already great players,'' Kalinic told
Sportske Novosti.

''Guys are powerful and fast, but very responsible, quality players and they say to us that this is how the whole team is.
''So any one-and-a-half percent looser approach ahead of the match with Nigeria can be crazy.''
Argentina and Iceland complete the teams in Group D at the 2018 World Cup.

Nigeria U20s To Call Up Players From Academies & NNL, Foreign Pros For Camping

Abubakar Bala, who is standing in for Nigeria U20 Head Coach Paul Aigbogun, has revealed that the Flying Eagles’ preparation for the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations qualifiers will be in three phases.
22 out of the 30 players invited for this first phase of camping are currently sweating it out in Abuja for a chance to represent Nigeria.
''We have penciled down 15 players but we want to make the screening in phases,'' Bala told
allnigeriasoccer.com .

''We are making the screening in three phases. The first phase will be 30 players of only the Premier League teams
''The second phase we are bringing another 28 players from National League, Academies and amateur players then the last phase after selecting the Premier League players and selecting the few we get from the amateur and Academy players to form the core team.

''We will see where we are lacking and from there we invite our European players that are within the age of twenty.''
Nigeria will face either Guinea Bissau or Sierra Leone in the second round of the 2019 Africa U20 Cup of Nations qualifiers, with the first leg to be played on 11-13 May and the second leg a week later.

I'm also beginning to believe he might not go with more than 5 midfielders because some of the defenders can play DM position.

With this in mind, we are likely to have Etebor, Ogu and Joel Obi battling for the last 2 spots since we know Mikel, Ndidi and Onazi are 99% certained.
going wit that scenario it means....
he may go wit either 9 defenders or forwards...
but that won't be rational...
because right amongst the midfielders...we have onazi and ndidi who can both play full back role....
also....in the forward role...nancho and musa can both play the CF role...besides Ighalo.

having up to 6 midfielders.....will.be of help as it will provide more options should incase of any imjury

My enerst prayer is that Joel Obi shouldn't melt down during the friendlies because a melt down is a melt out. He won't be given any new opportunity if he screws up.

Out of the new faces invited, He's the only one I am much concerned about.
I tell you my brother....imagine a midfield comprising of mikel, Joel, onazi, ndidi, ogu and etebo...
all at their very best....it gonna be super.
I do believe games are likely won from the midfield...So with a good midfield we're good to go.

I still believe it is possible for rohr to limit the midfield to 5 being that players like shehu Abdullah can as well play the DM role...

Hence the reason I said Nigerians play football for the money and not for the love of it. The earlier we grab this, the better so no one should expect the best from the league nor should we bereate a league we made so. I have people in the league. Some of those who left ended up in oblivion. Some Nigerian players playing in the league have achieved more than some who left for relatively unknown countries/league/club.

There is a particular one that went to Iran, up till now he's struggling badly, some make it but most don't.

Brazilian league is followed by its citizens, they patronise the league, not all their best leave, in fact what they do most of the time is to do a win win transaction. You sign my players but must allow the players stay in the league for some certain seasons before leaving. You should know this.

There is money in the Brazilian league too because alot of the clubs are privately owned even though it's not as rich as some European leagues.

As for the Argentine league, they enjoy enough patronage even though they don't have money that much. Their stadiums always filled up. When the best leave the league, they still come home to retire. Both of these league have home patronage and citizens supporting the league unlike the NPFL.
