safarigirl: sometimes, slow and steady is a far wiser approach than fast and reckless.
I say the opposition should determine who plays between Onazi and Ogu....eg, I would start Onazi against Iceland you're really a tactical guru.... you nailed it.... |

Icon4s: Abeg which Satelite TV have the broadcast right to show this one so we start chasing the black goat now. No be when players don line up for field we go begin search for the match in all DSTV channels including Zee-World and Cartoon Network. it is going to be difficult to watch....here in Nigeria except online sports site...modbro etc. that country is quite far..... |

safarigirl: not that I care much for either of Onazi or Ogu, but we have seen Ogu and Mikel start a match against top opposition and it went fine, so, why can't they both be on the field together? the Argentina squad we played against will be very different from the one we will be playing come June this year....likewise the change in the Nigeria side.... I am not against both playing in same match...but it will do better we have two fast Midfieders to compliment mikel lack of pace in the middle...... |

nelszx: Even before the SA loss I've opined on his inclusion ahead of Onazi (this after watching him play severally at club level) but I was called Onazi hater by his supporters . Ogu utilises his weakness to his own advantage (not pacey). The reason he sits deep to protect the defenders and allow Ndidi with pace to surge forward and help in the attack. Ogu sits comfortably as a DM or CM. The goal against Algeria (though inconsequential) was from a CM position and we'll struck. His passes lovely and short. My joy in this Rohrs' team is that every department he's trying to get replacements and not substitute though and ability of them to play a false 9 system (against Argentina). Iwobi and Iheanacho played as AM. so you guys wanna play two non pacey midfielders (mikel and ogu) in same match....? please....ogu can't start same match when we have mikel....in the field... onazi work rate is something of value...ogu i understand is a good addition but can't replace onazi in that team so easily... as regard good passes onazi makes good passes too...his assist lead to the 4th goal against Cameroon.. |

just watched arsenal vs WBA highlights... iwobi really impressed wit his long range shots.....just unlucky not to get a goal from one of his attempt
and for those arsenal fans always picking on him...their frustration I understand...being that the lad opt for Nigeria instead of the 3 lions....they've had no peace within.... |

Mourinho response as regard Scholes criticism
Mourinho said: “I don’t think he [Scholes] comments. He criticises – which is a different thing “Not everyone has to be phenomenal like he was. As a player he was phenomenal, but it doesn’t mean we all have to be phenomenal. “Sometimes Pogba plays very well, sometimes he plays well and sometimes he doesn’t play well. Pogba tries his best all the time.
“It’s not Paul’s fault that he made much more money than Paul Scholes. It’s not Paul Pogba’s fault, it’s just the way football is.”
And Mourinho added: “If Paul [Scholes] decides to be a manager one day, I wish that he can be 25% as successful as myself. “Fifty per cent is 12-and-a-half silverware, 25% is around six [trophies]. If he is 25% he will be quite happy.” Asked if he was frustrated by the number of high-profile ex-United players working in the media, Mourinho said: “I think they would love to be here, in the club. That’s a problem that I cannot resolve.” |

oloriooko: No one is saying he should not go to the WC but he cannot be at his best if he doesnt have playing time at his club. The best way to assess a player is what he does at his club and presently Nacho is warming bench.
Dont even try to say he does not fit to the coachs' tactics that is just pathetic About freekicks it will surprise you we have other takers in the team, so what happens if he gets injured in the WC? its like you have a strong aversion for nancho..... anyway let's keep watching....we still several months to the world cup |

I'm hoping Rohr's defense pick for the world cup is like this Balogun Ekong Awazeim Aina Idowu Ebuehi Shehu Omeruo or any other CB Nice list...omeruo is still a problem there... that dude was someone I looked up to several years ago....to become the chief super eagles defense minister.... I will even prefer efe ambrose to him..presently....base on club form...afterall...efe rarely makes silly mistakes..like omeruo... I won't want any rookie in his place.... the young ones that wanna play for us should await after the world cup... |

junnyjake: How many matches did Elderson play at the last world cup that we'd need his experience at the WC?
We seriously don't need his kind of experience in the team I tell you my brother...to some persons old age equates experience.... or possibly shuttling from one league to another makes for experience even when it is obvious that the player have been warming bench in all this leagues.... Aina and Idowu can do the job perfectly well.... it will make no sense forbidding any of ebuehi, Aina and shehu the world cup...idowu and musa inclusion is stricly because of their knowledge of Russia. |

I pray he improves on his game so he can make that position his in the GWG shirt. to be honest my brother...we don't need elderson @ the world cup.... idowu and Aina can man up that position perfectly well... while ebuehi and shehu takes control of the RB.... those 3 lads are the future of super eagles defense including awaziem and troost ekong |

I doubt you even watched Ajayi last season because I can't remember u coming here to rave about a single performance. just leave him....he is trying to create a flimsy reason for ajayi proposed inclusion... his hype on the Egyptian league is baffles me claiming the league is way ahead of the Israeli league baffles me.....then we should as well canvas for yousef for the super eagles LB slot because he has been more consistent in the Egyptian league than and also the other player who have been netting double digits every season...I have forgotten his name....he has an Ibo name... someone should please remind me... |

Ndidi is currently our most consistent player in Europe's top 5 league this season and he has really done well for himself.. I don't think Adrien will displace him so soon.. But still he needs to improve on some aspects of his game especially his passing .
As for Nacho, the January transfer widow is now open! If he knows what's good for him he will ask for a loan move somewhere for him to get more playing time..even if its the championship...Musa too should do the same... It won't be fair if they both make our world cup squad while warming the bench at Leicester due to their experience in the national team at the expense of other players who are consistent at their club your words are so filled wit maturity.... bless you my brother with a Brazilian moniker... |

At least I named a player I would drop for Ajayi.
You and Bascovanveli are yet to name that CM/AM that should be drop for Sokari. sir...it's like you've not been following our points... agu should be dropped....for solanke. that will leave 3-4 defenders who can play the DM role... (ogu, ndidi, onazi and shehu) solanke can sometimes come in for mikel in some matches as substitutes. |

TheSuperNerd: Victor Moses' resolution for 2018 reads
To keep pushing.....
In the light of his omission from the CAF APOTY final three and his failure to get into the CAF team of the year 2017 and also his failure to land the BBC APOTY, I think he really needs to keep pushing.
He was awarded as Goal international's Africa Player of the year 2017 and also made the Goal Africa Team of the Year 2017.
Victor Moses made the CAF team of the round in World cup qualifying about three times out of the six round of matches. He had a great year no doubt for both club and country but CAF thinks otherwise. *shrugs*
Salah and Mane deserve their plaudits though. And for Goal sake, Auba will always get a mention. Well, wish Victor Moses a better and more fulfilling 2018.
He should keep pushing indeed
