DrLikita12: Both work and prayer are important. They go hand in hand yeah sure... i am just not happy. both Manu Garba and the under 20 coach really have so much work to do... sentiments is killing nigeria coaches fast... even though the under 20 coach everyone knows is a lazy coach but Manu is never lazy... our cadet team coaches should never allow the temptation of getting cuts from players signing stop them from doing the right things when it matter most they should be ambitious... i have a dream that one day a nigerian will coach a club in europe top 8 leagues |

You want Rohr to proclaim to the media that the super eagles are going to conquer Africa just like that?/Sorry mate,it doesn't work like that... Good coaches don't do that... And like oga Basco said, what the coach says to the media is different from what he tell his players...

But this team came to just market themselves and are letting us down. to be honest with you... i am even happy that they lost this match.... Manu Garba and his crew can now go back to the drawing board... they need to make this lads watch every match and show them their mistakes and what they need do next time.... draft in fresh players who are good offensively.. have them camped with these players..and then pick the best (least selfish amongst them) Lateef should be called back in the fold...the dude decision making is better than so many of these players who made the team |

lawman88: If I talk now many of you will not believe me. I spent less than 200,000 in my wedding. Court wedding: Certificate 8,000 Refreshment 6,000 Ring......10,000
Traditional wedding: Clothes.....45,000 Food.....40,00 Drinks.....20,000
That is all
Before you shout I am poor, immediately after the wedding, I opened a clothing shop for my wife with 800,000. I started my PhD immediately after the marriage. My wife has also started her master degree. I have bought land and developing it now. We married 2017.
I can't waste money on what is not going to bring income. My inlaws told me to do what I can afford that time since I was a master student then. So I reduced everything to the extent that I have over a million after the marriage.
Some guys are still paying debt 5 years after marriage simply because they want to please people that do not matter awww thanks for this. me and my fiancee...we are both looking out not using more than 500-600k come next year for our wedding. just an indoor traditional wedding. .... few members of both families and a church wedding with reception afterwards finish. |

BascoVanVeli: What is the meaning of humility? That is what Rohr showed with his comment. If a player gets demoralized by such comments then he doesn't deserve to be a professional.
But back to my question. Name a successful coach that goes into tournaments saying his team will win? I disagree...what Rohr showed is cowardice and not humility. It does it every time.... I understand that you sometimes play mind games...but take a cursory look at rohr words prior every tournament and match...especially friendlies prior the world cup. ...you will see fear all over it. just looking for a safe landing. you should go into every battle with confidence and the determination to win |

femianski: Some people just hate Rohr sha What's bad in him acknowledging other teams abilities Even top coaches in Europe most especially Guardiola acknowledge their rival team abilities Seriously am just pissed off at how some people here who see themselves as analysts just try every possible means of downgrading Rohr and looking for his downfall I guess they have forgotten the status of the Nigerian super eagles before Rohr took over. Though am not a fan of his football pattern but he is delivering the results which matters Gone are the days when we have to look for calculators during qualifiers. I fully back Rohr to win the AFCON so that those haters here would be put to shame the only problem we have here. ..is the way guys like you reason. just because some persons have an issue with rohr approach and pre match/tournament speech...does not mean I hate him. I am not a hater neither am I asslicker. next time I think before you make a generalisation try engage folks with a contrary opinion just to where they're coming from. |

He may be piling pressure on the opponents for all we know you're talking as If the coward of a coach is new to us..... we all know him.... how he even downplayed the super eagles chances prior the last world cup he is always looking for a safe landing. little wonder he has never won a single trophy since he has been a coach |

Curtisaxel7: This quote from our own Baba Onigbinde in white flesh has left me demoralized and terribly angry this night. What excuse does a coach have to habitually downgrade his team's chances before every single competition even when we are clearly not worse than the other teams?.
Rohr's pre tourney statements have always shown a marked lethargy, resignation, and lack of hunger for achievement. For him, it is enough that his " young team" has qualified for the tourney. Every other thing is na jara.
The worst part is I'm afraid he has infected our players with his legbere unambitious mentality. One only has to look at the games we played before and during the WC to see proof of this. Apart from the fluke against Argentina in the friendly and Musa's twin moments of brilliance against Iceland, what else can we look back on?. Is it the shambolic midfield or the open-post-missing Ighalo or the perpetually anonymous Iheanacho?. BIG SHAME!.
Now the same pattern is repeating himself. Very soon Rohr may be losing to Burundi and giving us his usual "my team is young and inexperienced" nonsense....
Wallahi, Rohr matter tire me. Big time!. the man is a coward.... |

Curtisaxel7: Rohr on probable AFCON winners.
"Group D is the strongest with big opponents, including South Africa. For me, Morocco is one of the favorites to win the Cup, just like Ivory Coast, which won twice,'' said Rohr to Medias24.
''I think Egypt, which will play at home, is the number one favorite. There is also Senegal, the best African team in the FIFA rankings.
''As I said before, Morocco remains a favorite of this CAN, Tunisia too. After, I hope we too will be able to get involved in the title race.'' this man is a coward..... a glorified one. so scared..... just imagine he is already looking for excuses....even those mentioned teams are so scared of nigeria |

TheGoodJoe: With all the so called fairness, how come Rohr did not go far at the World Cup? but so far you will agree wit me his team selection and players recruitment and scout have been top notch... in a fairness the super eagles play in 2014 and 2018 which amongst them tends to be more better and lively.... if there was VAR in 2014 I doubt if Bosnia won't have made round of 16....... only an Indegenous coach will ignore a player like Imoh ezekiel for unchebo or nwafor.... even the osazi that scored against Bosnia inclusion in the world cup team was prevailed upon by well meaning nigerians |

TheGoodJoe: Yusuf has denied that the money was a bribe, describing it as a 'token', and Rohr has now come to the defence of his assistant
"I saw the video, and I saw what happened," Rohr told KweséESPN. "From my experience, Salisu is an honest man.
"Those people just want to make trouble, this is people just trying to catch some people," he added. "Salisu does not need that money, he is a victim of this situation."
https://www.google.com/amp/www.espn.com/soccer/nigeria/story/3584755/salisu-yusuf-backed-as-honest-victim-by-gernot-rohr%3fplatform=amp
If it was a Nigerian coach saying this, a lot of you would be shouting Nigerians and Corruption.
Rohr’s assistant, not NFF’s assistant.
Finito. you expect him to openly criticise his assistant? someone the NFF employed after he applied too for the Super Eagles Job...crying that he has long being an assistant... wanna take over the job believing h have what it takes. .... managing the super eagles to victory against Luxembourg and also Mali I think.... entered his head... even the likes of you were crying all over nairaland asking the NFF to employ him and let's see how well he go. ..... but the NFF in all wisdom and sighting the potential danger involve in recruiting him especially after the French coach refusal of the super eagles job.... and also the possible fear of the presidency intervention in presuring the NFF to confirm yusuf appointment...quickly made him the super eagles coach with rohr as the technical adviser.... leaving the under 23 and the home based eagles under his watch. ....and also place him on a salary of N5M monthly |

We need the tactical input and play to make the Eagles fly. If Amunike has it, we will do ourselves a big disservice not allowing him. there have been several allegations of cunning players from their academies all because of the proceeds to get from their signing. ... I remember the write up regarding nwakali brothers... and Nancho academy. so far so good...have you read any of such allegations as regard rohr ever since he started coaching the super eagles....? there is no smoke without fire... any nigeria coach who is fair and transparent will always go far...because the talent is there...already. a little bit of management skills will do the magic |

TheGoodJoe: Fairness is Rohr inviting 50 players to camp and 3 only keepers, thus no competition for the top three keepers of the team. That does not seem fair to me.
It was a staff of Rohr caught on tape receiving cash money.
It was Rohr that was caught on tape when a player(Ighalo) signaled him to let him into a game.
I think Rohr’s skin has been his benefactor than fairness. If not, the way he left Onyekuru out of the team for so long defies logic.
I am not saying Rohr is that bad but I feel everyone can be criticised but our local coaches get criticised unfairly. If Salisu's incident happened under a Nigerian coach, the uproar would have been too much. you're trying to indict rohr...in salisu mess.... was rohr in charge of the WAFU/home based afcon team? was he the one that was heading the team....when the greedy coach salisu took bribe...? was he the one that asked the man over 40 years to go take bribe.... salisu is not rohr staff but NFF staff...the football federation employed him...they pay him. rohr staffs are the fair skinned guys he employed and pay from his salary. on ighalo signaling rohr to let him come into the game.... that's normal. any confident player can do that....there was no shots or part showed on camera where he bribed rohr. also rohr left out Onyekuru on tactical reasons he explained.... so far I doubt...I repeat I doubt if any nigeria coach can be as fair and transparent in team selection like Rohr |
