Why?
c'mon don't tell me you don't know the symbolic relationship between nigeria coaches and egunge...

give them the job and begin to see list of players you never expect to see in training let alone in the line up.
nigeria coaches team selection is questionable...most Nigerians are not patriotic...few place the country interest way above theirs.

so forget amuneke. ..I understand..that he is a tactical genius but you know....fairness and transparency is key to team building...that's what have been helping ROHR even though he is tactically deficient

I really do.not get carried away with U17 football because at best is indicative of potential not much more else.

Without thay potential being developed it can actually very sadly amount to ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

If U17 football was a major milestone in football progression and superior quality. Then we should be winning the World cup by now. But we are far from dominating African football.

How many of our U17 football players have progressed to top class football commensurate with the high levels they achieved at world youth level. ❓
I understand you...but you see the under 17 football serve us the opportunity to measure up with world football... you see the beauty of undiluted Africa talents and resilience... so painful that corruption all over nigeria is now prevalent too in our football even in the hearts of our coaches.....

nigeria refs are like the worst in Africa and same with coaches...how can you explain the acts of a coach placed on a salary of N5M monthly even some shell/chevron workers don't earn that. ..to be collecting bribe of mere $1000..... same man participate in the wafu tourney where got match bonus and some stipends and also match bonus from the super eagles wins never elude him and he still went ahead to take bribe...

nobody can convince me if the other cadet coaches ain't doing likewise....they're Nigerians so such is possible

From the gist here, perhaps all the need is a goal poacher who has goal scoring as his only attribute. The team is not there yet and they need new legs before world cup
and also the team need to play as one and learn release the ball when necessary.
I fear for these team if something is not done fast...

Akande is more of a winger.
sir you never can tell...that kid could be more lethal and a better finisher with eye for goals....
same thing with Lateef that was dropped...

these players I am seeing are all good but the forward line end product is so so poor....
you don't waste chances like this. ...
I watched the Success set of 2013...that set rarely waste chances.... unlike this. even in the Africa nations cup they played....the pace and end product was astute

What is the something else, l am lost explain more.

But before you do the superiority of the EPL is becoming more and more apparent.

Look at how many EPL teams got to the last 8 of the Champions league. And the possibility of an all EPL final is now a possibility.

Then look at the Euro cup it seems highly likely that we will have an all EPL final.

Now what could be more emphatically resounding to prove the complete SUPERIORITY of the EPL.
your conclusion is very shallow....
haven't you see seasons where 3 la liga teams will play the UEFA champions league semi finals?
or two Spanish clubs play Europa league finals
or both winners of europa and UEFA in a season are both Spanish clubs?

why has sentiments so much be cloud your objectivity and reasoning with caution

everything is about the money , TROPHY =MONEY , what is trophy without the monetary prize ? they rejuvenated the league with just that single move , And don't forget Ronaldo is 35years , they knew he is 35 and took a gamble , not to win the trophy but if the trophy comes next season so be it ,the aim is to make money . Trophy is secondary .any Italian man will not joke with money .please do your findings .

Your only excuse was ticket that's why I said everybody which include others

Juventus main priority was the champions league

Juventus will end up with only Seria A

Football first priority is trophy

Man united should be the richest club in the world,I can't even remember when last they taste champions league glory
so Juventus other priorities does not include the quest to make more money?
and the fact they've not won the UEFA this season does it rule them out next season

Yes juventus is a great team and they can win it next year no doubt and Cr7 is a great player

But you see I hate excuses because they where eliminated when they are still in the competition everybody is saying he is the one carrying the team ,suddenly now they said his team mates let him down ,now some people are also talking about ticket selling

O common you guys should spare me that

Juventus want the champions league so bad this season
please read my posts and see if I made any of those excuses for him or juventus....

I only attest to the ticket, jersey sales and so much awareness he has brought to the league....

meaning it is still win-win situation for juventus and Serie A signing him...even though they have not won the UEFA yet

You're still a young lad...I will advise you take your economics classes seriously.
tell me if juventus operate a business model or not?
and tell what it entails.
and tell me if juventus loosing out on champions league this year forbids them from winning it next year.

tell me if winning the champions league was the only reason he was bought?
if the essence of signing players is not to make profit also.... In addition to winning laurels

So juventus didn't got Ronaldo for champions league shey ? They got him just to sell ticket and make more money?

Nice one
the fact that Juventus did not win it this year...does it mean they won't win it come next year....
why judging the player all because you support a rival player.
the paramount reason juventus wanna win the UEFA also include the cash that comes with it.... and also the reasons for buying Ronaldo also include the need to make more money and for now even though they've not achieve one of them. ..but they have been making money via other channels ever since he was signed.
even gettuso said Ronaldo presence has boast their league.... people troop in just to watch him score....

that alone have earned the league more revenue and awareness.... many now watch juventus match just because of Ronaldo.

sometimes you've got to reason things out holistically and not being parochial about things

And how many years imprisonment for Police officers killing innocent civilians?!

Meanwhile,
Dear Nairalanders,
These are the 7 things you need to know about the NIGERIA POLICE REFORM BILL
We always try to educate as time permits...

Here you have it......

1. The establishment of a service-oriented and modern Police that will meet globally acceptable policing standards in a democratic setting.

2. The modernization of the current Police Force (which was conceptualized and established in the Colonial environment to protect colonial interests) with a Police Force that is geared towards protecting and safeguarding the lives and properties of Nigerian citizens.

3. The establishment of guiding principles to ensure effective policing in Nigeria. These principles include efficiency and effectiveness; accountability, and transparency; protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms; and partnership with other security institutions.

4. Methods of dealing with abuse of weapons by police officers. The Bill also ensures that the police and police officers are held accountable in their actions especially in the areas of arrest and detention of persons and searches.
We love this! cheesy

5. Clauses that mandate record keeping by the police and clauses that ensure that citizens are fully protected from abuse by Police officers.

6. The establishment of a Community Police and Boards in all the States of the Federation that will consist of broad representatives of the community and the State to ensure effective, efficient and participatory community policing.

7. The establishment of an independent complaint authority to receive and investigate and effectively deal with complaints against police officers misconduct from the public.

GOD BLESS NIGERIA!
you see those senators and reps members are the greatest problem we have in these country. they have lost touch with reality.
what's the essence of this reform...?
when everyday Nigerians are getting killed by the police men

West Ham sack Tony Henry after he sparked a race row by saying the club do not want to sign any African players because they 'cause mayhem'

https://www-dailymail-co-uk.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5345809/amp/West-Ham-sack-Tony-Henry-sparked-race-row.html?usqp=mq331AQCCAE%3D&amp_js_v=0.1#referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailymail.co.uk%2Fsport%2Ffootball%2Farticle-5345809%2FWest-Ham-sack-Tony-Henry-sparked-race-row.html

Now these ate the few that have been made public with clear evidence to support the allegation.

I could tell you a hundred more individuals and clubs that ate even worse.

If you can have this happening in West Ham in London one of the most racially diverse parts of the UK. In addition BME make up at 41% of the population of London.

Then with this level of diversity how many heads of academies in London are Black how many ate even coaches and how many are managers. The figures are ABYSMAL.

When you come to the North of England that figure becomes 10 times worse.

All these these individuals and clubs perpetrate blatant racism day in day out. With the exception of Liverpool in the North there is no club l cam vouch for that doesn't have issues with race. And Liverpool is not necessarily perfect just a lot better than the rest.

Now that's what our children of black African origin have to face regularly.

So please let know one tell me that they Nigerian origin players have LIMITLESS OPPORTUNITIES. It is simply not. TRUE.

I can tell you of a club in the NW also in the EPL where the Manager has made the same statement but not in the public media.

I know one of the players who left to Watford after seeing he was not that welcome and the prevalent attitude. Buy he will never make that position public.
i believe on this bro.
you nailed it.... those foreign groomed guys are not in an advantage as many here think. they have no same privileges with kids of white race and nationals of their country and nigeria depriving them the chance to play shows we treating them like an outcast.
i think Lookman can still play for us if he wants to...because i doubt england will treat him more than nigeria would
