Have you had a schengen visa in the past? Ofcourse you know that there are no restrictions to communicating with applicants. For most European countries, they call applicants alot. Especially france

My line of work requires me to answer a lot of calls but I am not with my personal phone most of the times that’s and by the time I have time to check my own personal phone I would see a lot of missed calls that I cannot reach most of the numbers back
Can you just take a look at the number I texted does it look like the number they used in calling
I don’t know why they are calling instead of mailing

You should open all access for communication, cos no one is going to say for real if they will mail or call ( We can not really say for now if they actually called)
Above all, you need to mail Vfs and i have already told you, when you send mails, focus on the message and use a polite and lighter tones. Request to know status of your application.

You sure will be fed up in details.

Reach out to Vfs, and i am sure you already sent that mail to the embassy. You didn't feedback on that.

A visa will have a timeline.
If her visa is valid from Dec 1 2023 , they will state the expiration date on it too, number of entries allowed (1,2, M) 1 - Single , 2 - Double, M - Multiple, S - Single. She already said she is allowed 1 entry and her visa is valid for one month(which her employers want her to stay longer)How then does she enter anytime and leave anytime within under one month or more when there is a maximum stay period allowed her?
The conditions are also included (Maximum stay allowed, not allowed to convert visa e.t.c)
A visa validity is not same as visa expiration
Maybe she should tell us when the visa starts and ends, number of days allowed as it is on her passport.

I picked an SA sticker visa randomly online and attached for clarity.
This visa below states that this person can only stay in South Africa for "25days" on a Single entry. Which she must present a return ticket to immigration on entry for that period of stay.

So going back to my previous advise, if you read it carefully, Apply for an evisa and attach all requisite documents. The DHA grants 3 month visa for frequent traveler as you fall in that category OR you use the first option.

Considering appropriate timings for applications matters, the evisa maybe your quicker alternative.

Please direct further enquiries to vfs or the embassy in Lagos as I have given the best advice.

I understand that mail. It is just a validation of your application, only if you didnt upload it. if you uploaded all the documents as request, i do not think you have to panic. Just be patient, whilst you get responses from them.

This is not something you should panic about. Just do as advised. Home affairs will grant you 3 month visa as a frequent traveler, if you can prove to them you have stuffs doing in SA. Attach employement or contract letters and all documenst.
Use this link. cost 425 rands, about 18k in Naira. https://ehome.dha.gov.za/epermit/login
However, if you arrive SA, your evisa may be acknowledged, not the sticker. The sticker can serve the purpose for travel history at the embassy in Nigeria, which will help for subsequent applications.

You can also apply for a 3 month e visa right now as a frequent traveler( I was granted this on my 3rd SA visa) and attach your sticker visa explaining reasons for the need for 3 month short term visa to expire March next year.
Attach all supporting documents from your employers.
Please when writing letters to the embassy or home affairs. Always go straight to the point and give them accurate details.
If you have informed them you were staying longer,I don't think they would have given you one month.

If you get a sticker visa and you were given one month stay and you prefer to stay longer. I will advise you to do above.

Alright.
Now in this case, you draft a letter and attach the supporting document to the consulate in Nigeria for an extension.
I suppose the visa you have currently is an electronic one.

Upon receipt, the consulate will correspond depending on the urgency. This can only be done from Nigeria.
Mind you, if you decide to process from SA, you may be requested to attach your permit.
I am not sure you have that.

The message is not clear. Let take it one by one.
1. How long were you supposed to be in SA?
2. If there is need for extension, your South African employers know what to do.
3. Sponsorship letter and letter to consular, I don't think I understood what you meant there. I thought you said you have a visa already.

When you are sending this kind of mails, be polite and straight to the point.
Very short and avoid un necessary stories so you dont raise brows on the urgency for trip.

This people dont reason like us, they are mostly psychologists.

Your subject should be "Reminder on visa application" REF: SALA....

Please I submitted my e-visa application, uploaded docs and paid. It’s showing status as “awaiting supporting documents”. Is this normal please and can I expect it to change??

Click check status. The maximum upload allowed is 5mb. Merge all support documents together using pdfmerger and do same if need arises for others ( seem you passed this stage)
Reason i said this is because of the issues associated with doc upload and error message prompt.
