It is expected, like i said, "some" depending on the timing and mood of approving officer, you can get it in time. I also got a tourist visa approved just 2 months ago in less than 72hrs.

Just thought to share in hope that there'd be improved response time for application going forward.

I submitted a CSV renewal on 31st Oct
Got notification that it was returned to VFS on 10th Nov
It was ready for collection on 13th Nov
Confirmed yesterday that it was approved.
I still don't know how but that's the fastest CSV approval I've seen.

Got to the UK yesterday afternoon after 13 hours from the time my Turkish Airlines flight was originally scheduled to take off. That's about 1 hour late.

My experience at POE was bad. It took less than 2 minutes and my passport was stamped. I was asked the purpose of my trip and if I had a return ticket. I showed my invitation letter from my employer and that was all.

Just as expected.
