If you apply for visas frequently , have a separate account for visa purpose. I always talk about this here. Of all the things that disqualify applicants for Uk visas, the income and expenditure aspect. Take it into consideration, and regularilise your accounts else you keep going in cirles. betterstill maintain the frequency of payments. Sorry about your refusal. Just take your time and work on it. technically writing. |
Hello Guys, Trust everyone is fine I just wanted to say, considering the complex nature of Nairaland with regards posting certain type of ads here, would it be appropriate to give out contacts for services that are highly requested. Some persons reached out that they need a company to help them register and file annual returns for their businesses on cac. Ofcourse you all know, these services are considered to be post incorporation, as such can only be handled be accredited persons. If your company status is inactive or you have errors you want to regularise, you can send a dm, i will be willing to forward their contact. I have been using them for a long time and they are very reliable. Ps: This is for those attaching company documents to their visa applications. Just mail: Have a great day! |
Eazyomi:Hello. From my encounter and sight of things at the embassy. I will advise you to go to the embassy in Maitama and gather some information there directly . Waiting back is not best, alot is going on behind the scene. Goodluck |

PART 1 If you followed this conversation from a page backwards, I started off by saying I had a conversation with a lady that works with Border Management Authority (BMA) and relayed the feedbacks I got. I didn't even add that I was defending some Nigerians that came to the office to beg when they didn't allow them travel with expired visas. When you are referencing, you don't make comparisons, you state your point and make them clear. That is the essence of a debate. It is supposed to be educative , engaging and informative. If the parties decides to exchange words, that is left for them because i did state it clear that whilst we are engaging ourselves, we remain courteous. We don't have to get personal or emotional about what is already known, we are supposed to take charge of that situation. Crisis management, damage control, Yes, It is ok. Emdee was a loose talker, he sold himself directly to the media and guess what, that interview was a paid one. No sane person will face camera and say those things. It is not the same here. The essence of this conversation is for everyone to be alive, awake and in the light of the re occuring events, possibly we can re align, and open a conversation to allay these concerns. How else do we talk about a matter of national interest which is terribly affecting every honest Nigerian. In the open or behind cameras? Atleast, the lady from South Africa has spoken her mind and the community she represents. It is signal for us to thread carefully since we now how they feel and their thoughts about Nigerians. I am not even one to be told to Promote Nigeria. I do that effortlessly. Please let us maintain the essence of this conversation which is to inform, educative and enlighten readers on the need to do better outside their motherland. PART 2 Make una dey calm down. This is a debate , everyone is expected to air their opinions on issues as they deem fit freely and expressly with courtesy. Supporting a South African or Nigerian is not even the issue. That feedback was sent to calm the tension amongst respondents. Una expect me to support what is not known Or the one that is known? Who does not know here that Drug Peddling is hot in these regions Or Na Matter of Cultism or Illegal Migration (Unfortunately, I will not support any irrespective of my nationality) I will gladly announce to all Parties that this session has ended. Further debates or arguments are at your own discretion, anything that comes out of it, you are on your own. Above all, when we argue , we should try to avoid making use of insulting and harsh words, this is something I find very unpleasant about this platform. I think we can do better irrespective of our tribal or cultural differences. God Bless Africa , Federal Republic of Nigeria and South Africa. Make everybody rest now abeg. Goodevening My People. [END] |
I have been to SA three times this year, when people say, South Africans are lazy , Please what they mean by that? where do they get the statistics from? I am not supporting anyone, just stating the facts. yes, the larger percentage of South Africans do menial jobs, but they are quite engaged. or should we seek clarity on these statements for better understanding? Do you mean South African Men or the Women are lazy? Because in the cold in major cities, i saw locals cleaning shops, sweeping the street, and working. I have visited from Garsfontein, Jo burg, Kempton, Pretoria, Hatfield, Major centers in town, I saw a very active city filled with hustling activities. I dont understand where that is coming from. And you Lionessza, Just tell us that you like Nigerians alot , because you are very informed than even alot of Nigerians about happenings.Or are you just an impostor claiming South African whereas you are Nigerian? Talk to us ![]() |
Ok, Please check SerenaStyles: |
All sides have made valid points. They are acknowledged. We hope everyone has been impacted or learned by this discuss, it is now on us to act. Lionessza6: The fact that everyone acknowledged that Nigerians are honest and hardworking is even encouraging. Please help us spread the message to your fellow compatriot, so they can tone down the stereotypes on the genuine ones. The ones found culpable of contravening or offences should be severely dealt with. What i find annoying is when someone says all Nigerians are the same. That rhetoric needs to stop! Please! |
badBADbichh:Na wa ooo ![]() Ok I Don hear. When I ready sha make una reply o because e be like some coded things dey happen inside that email wey una dey send ![]() Tnx |
Lionessza6:I am quite objective which makes me different. I recently posted something similar on the UK thread where people accuse travel agent always forging documents without their notice. Then, after carefully reviewing the comments, I made a case for agent and gave a simple comparison. It is not possible for a surgeon to carry out an operation on a patient without a consent. For every forgery or falsification, even when applicants deny not to know, in actual sense, there were part of it. Because you don't give a travel agent requisite document to apply for a visa, you just pay him, where do you expect he or she gets document from? They will obviously "package your application na" Those that have been following my trajectory on this platform since I joined, know that I am very objective with issues. If anyone gets angry about my views, it's on them. We can polish and pretend everything is fine in Nigeria, but remember the Nidcom boss at a time got really angry and exploded about the re occuring drug peddling cases orchestrated by Nigerians in Malaysia that she had to lambast some persons on Twitter. Calling a spade a spade is admittance for growth(Just like confessing your sins and seeking forgiveness for salvation of the soul) and not denial. We sometimes dont have to be diplomatic about issues. This will help us to properly see things clearly so we can move forward better as a people For a fact, the greatest problems of the Nigerian Elite is that alot of them do not tell themselves the truth , even as things are difficult in Nigeria, there are still people that will tell you APC remains the best Government. Make we dey talk truth as e be , so we can move forward. Thanks . |
The long and short of the entire discuss is that Solder go Soldier Come, Every of us will carry the name of country on our head It's on us to build our nations to be reputable amongst committee of nations. Whether Nigerians, South Africans or Kenyans. Whatever part of this world you represent, Promote your country in good light and save the career of many of us honest people. People literally have to change their base when applying for jobs or attending interviews these days, like there's this stereotype. Once employers see you are from a perceived place, they send you an automated declined notice. Job opportunities don't come easily to skilled persons. I was speaking with a graphic designer in Nigeria last week and he explained to me how he had to change his location on upwork to US because all the people that contacted him said they can't give him the job because of his location. You got to be a bit more strategic these days. You don't get it, until when you see and encounter these events. So, let's walk the talk, and start the repair from here!!! Thank you Contributors. |
A very interesting topic and it nice to hear views from across corners. Please let maintain a very decent criticism and avoid using vulgar words. We are here to educative ourselves. Now, let us ask ourselves, and for those who are abreast with events. Just last week, some group of Nigerians were videoed on the street of instanbul in a scene supposed to be a fracas amongst two warring rivary groups. The aftermath of that event led to the arrest and harrasment of many Nigerians in Turkey. About few weeks ago, a ban was placed on Nigerians in Seychelles. I can go on. Please let us ask ourselves one question. Do you think we targeted by other nationalities? OR it is just a case of reprisal based on our perceived dented image? These are questions we should ponder on as a People. I do not want to start listing the number of countries i have visited in Africa, because is of no use to the conversation, but i am a well traveled person, and i have been to a number of countries in Africa. Unless, we want to be deceiving ourselves and playing ludo with the truth, Nigerians are not seen in good light in many places. True, we are well accomplished , well read, quite smart, very illustrous, but i will like to borrow Atinuke word "We too dey overdo" This topic is not even one of many, we have issues bordering on illegal immigration, drug cartels, and cultism downplaying the efforts of Honest People and we dont even want to be talking about tribes, because Nigerians are the target, not Yoruba , Ibo or Hausa. It is that green passport they are after. Promoting a need to re orient and educate people is very important. The way and manner we talk in Public Places too, we want to create a scene that we have arrived? Alot of education is needed. Even if you have all the degrees on the planet, and you have traveled to the whole world, if you dont know how to comport or behave in public places, it is an issue. I repeat, I repeat again, Alot of education is needed as people are traveling. I remember in those days when we were younger, before we left for school, our parent would sit us down a night before , and give us all necessary life advise, it is now left for you. The same still happens in Higher Institutions, soon as matriculation is completed, Student are made to attend Orientation days, so they can be guided. These are the areas i feel we are lacking as a society, and we need to begin to re direct our steps. Lastly, We are all here to educate , inform and enlighten ourselves, be open to constructive criticism , and let us be mindful of our use of words. Thank you. |
Lionessza6:I am actually amongst the list of those who liked this post and needless to say much, at a time like this, diplomacy of issues is not best, we should talk and speak truth about issues so we can re align our path and move forward. Nice . |
No. Let us just be objective with our judgement of issues. Nothing else The message was very clear. Even on this Nairaland, if you have been following comments, have we not seen instances when some persons claimed to have forged or falsified informations to apply for visas? I remember Tutu, myself and some other person was cautioning the person not to propagate such message here. Let us do the right things whether agent or applicant. That is what we should be preaching and practising. Goodnight. Newbiein2016: |
I think this issue needs to be discussed on a larger scale. There are actually alot of Nigerians hanging presently in SA with expired visas and running around and away from immigration. I spoke with one of the ladies at BMA extensively about their recent hostility towards Nigerians and she opened a whole chapter for me. At some point, i didnt even know what to say. It is the same report in other places too. I think Nigerians traveling needs to be properly oriented. It is not enough to just hop on a plane, arrive in another man's country and begin to misbehave. You dont expect them to fold their hands. In as much as we want free movement of people across borders, look at the enormous setbacks. Tell me one country now in Africa, that you dont have to apply for visa for , even the ones that were visa on arrival have placed a ban(Seychelles) So, it is worrisome, but i think people like you and many other great people here can champion that course and be an ambassador for change. I tell people, wherever you go, especially outside your country, Just see yourself as an identity for a whole nation. Whatever actions you take, will come back at 200m plus people, so just keep a Good image. That is the orientation we need to start preaching, it is not just to be traveling and traveling. People need to know why they are traveling, so they behave well outside. Atinukemi23: |
Very correct Kel, However, Have it in mind, Rwanda is visa on arrival, but hold some usd. I was in Kigali last year, and we paid 55usd for some kind of test, i think covid and one other before allowed entry. My hotel was just about 5mins to the airport, a place called Kanombe . It is a small country of about 8m people, and very strict with their laws. Clean, Accomodating people but shine cc: Atinuke Africankel: |
My favorite kenyan meals are Ugali, Chapati and Pilau. These meals, i have carefully selected them. East Africans do not eat spicy foods the way we do, and pepper is not their thing, so it is expected, keep flagyl to avoid emergencies , unless you want to be eating smokies (Hotdog)Atinukemi23:CC: TheLoanGuy |
