A lot of people have come in and refused to go back. I mean a lottttttt. Once you enter, claim asylum straight is the mantra. As long as govt takes time to decide their case, u are allowed so many things while waiting and so thats why this route is been abused. If govt takes 3 case to decide if u are telling lies or not, in that 3 years they get hotel, stipends and start birthing children that get free school, medical treatment etc
After 7 years of d children, they go onto apply for ilr for the children, then use d children to regularise their own stay. Or those that go to find one citizen and enter relationship or marriage to regularise stay. It’s a very long conversation if we start.
Even here, dont we read comments of people who over stayed .

If you apply for visas frequently , have a separate account for visa purpose.
I always talk about this here. Of all the things that disqualify applicants for Uk visas, the income and expenditure aspect.

Take it into consideration, and regularilise your accounts else you keep going in cirles.

betterstill maintain the frequency of payments.
Sorry about your refusal.

Just take your time and work on it. technically writing.

Hello Guys, Trust everyone is fine

I just wanted to say, considering the complex nature of Nairaland with regards posting certain type of ads here, would it be appropriate to give out contacts for services that are highly requested.
Some persons reached out that they need a company to help them register and file annual returns for their businesses on cac. Ofcourse you all know, these services are considered to be post incorporation, as such can only be handled be accredited persons. If your company status is inactive or you have errors you want to regularise, you can send a dm, i will be willing to forward their contact. I have been using them for a long time and they are very reliable.

Ps: This is for those attaching company documents to their visa applications. Just mail:

Have a great day!

Hello guys, I know this channel is for the student route, but please I have couple of questions concerning getting the work visa to Poland. I already have my work permit and have completed all the necessary applications, so now I'm just waiting for my application to be drawn so I get a date for my visa interview. Please I'd appreciate any helpful information:

1. How long on an average should I expect to wait before my application gets drawn for a visa appointment?
2. Is there anyway I can expedite the process?
3. Is there anyone here who was successful with getting this visa in recent times that I could speak to?
Hello.

From my encounter and sight of things at the embassy. I will advise you to go to the embassy in Maitama and gather some information there directly .
Waiting back is not best, alot is going on behind the scene.

Yesterday, I had my interview at 10.45am, which took place at window three. I'm pleased to share that my application was approved. Interestingly, mine was the first approval of the day, as I witnessed the officer deny more than 49 individuals, some of whom had prior travel histories to the US.

During the interview, the officer asked me a series of questions, including the purpose of my trip to the US, details about my occupation, the budget I had allocated for the journey, and where I intended to stay during my time there. Additionally, they inquired about my activities in Canada during a specific month (XYZ Month) and my current earnings, among other things.

For context, I have traveled to 19 countries in the past and currently possess valid 10-year visas for both the UK and Canada. Despite witnessing many denials, I am relieved that my application was successful, and I am now looking forward to my trip to the US. good luck to everyone else.

Hello hunnee i have been trying to apply for this e visa but no way is there anyway you can be of help or refer me to an agent.. My exam date is near im feeling sad recently got my third SA visa.

Makes it my third time visiting SA in 3 months.

Applied same day, and got visa same day.

DHA is still most preferable.

I advise you all to take your time , be calm and study the processes on the portal before you begin.

Knowledge is power.

Most of the queries asked here are on the website.

Just go through them carefully and establish some contact too in the process..

I also want to say for those sending me mails on how to convert tourist visa to resident permit, please confirm from the query department.

One thing I do for sure is that I read alot and have been able to gather lots of information on visa processes which aids my application.

So , I encourage everyone to do same, it will help alot.

Goodluck guys.

PART 1

If you followed this conversation from a page backwards, I started off by saying I had a conversation with a lady that works with Border Management Authority (BMA) and relayed the feedbacks I got.

I didn't even add that I was defending some Nigerians that came to the office to beg when they didn't allow them travel with expired visas.

When you are referencing, you don't make comparisons, you state your point and make them clear.

That is the essence of a debate. It is supposed to be educative , engaging and informative. If the parties decides to exchange words, that is left for them because i did state it clear that whilst we are engaging ourselves, we remain courteous.

We don't have to get personal or emotional about what is already known, we are supposed to take charge of that situation.

Crisis management, damage control, Yes, It is ok.

Emdee was a loose talker, he sold himself directly to the media and guess what, that interview was a paid one.

No sane person will face camera and say those things. It is not the same here.

The essence of this conversation is for everyone to be alive, awake and in the light of the re occuring events, possibly we can re align, and open a conversation to allay these concerns.

How else do we talk about a matter of national interest which is terribly affecting every honest Nigerian.

In the open or behind cameras?

Atleast, the lady from South Africa has spoken her mind and the community she represents.

It is signal for us to thread carefully since we now how they feel and their thoughts about Nigerians.

I am not even one to be told to Promote Nigeria. I do that effortlessly.

Please let us maintain the essence of this conversation which is to inform, educative and enlighten readers on the need to do better outside their motherland.

PART 2

Make una dey calm down.

This is a debate , everyone is expected to air their opinions on issues as they deem fit freely and expressly with courtesy.

Supporting a South African or Nigerian is not even the issue.

That feedback was sent to calm the tension amongst respondents.

Una expect me to support what is not known Or the one that is known?

Who does not know here that Drug Peddling is hot in these regions Or Na Matter of Cultism or Illegal Migration (Unfortunately, I will not support any irrespective of my nationality)

I will gladly announce to all Parties that this session has ended.

Further debates or arguments are at your own discretion, anything that comes out of it, you are on your own.

Above all, when we argue , we should try to avoid making use of insulting and harsh words, this is something I find very unpleasant about this platform.

I think we can do better irrespective of our tribal or cultural differences.

God Bless Africa , Federal Republic of Nigeria and South Africa.

Make everybody rest now abeg.

Goodevening My People.

I have been to SA three times this year, when people say, South Africans are lazy , Please what they mean by that?

where do they get the statistics from?

I am not supporting anyone, just stating the facts.

yes, the larger percentage of South Africans do menial jobs, but they are quite engaged.

or should we seek clarity on these statements for better understanding? Do you mean South African Men or the Women are lazy?

Because in the cold in major cities, i saw locals cleaning shops, sweeping the street, and working.

I have visited from Garsfontein, Jo burg, Kempton, Pretoria, Hatfield, Major centers in town, I saw a very active city filled with hustling activities.

I dont understand where that is coming from.

And you Lionessza,
Just tell us that you like Nigerians alot wink, because you are very informed than even alot of Nigerians about happenings.

Or are you just an impostor claiming South African whereas you are Nigerian?

This is nice and objective. Hopefully they will no get all emotional and attack you for pointing out the obvious.
Let me add something as well. One of the reasons people generally assume most Nigerians are just evil is that , when a Nigerian gets killed by a South African or police , you see all these Nigerian groups twerking for human rights activists. But when a Nigerian is caught with missing underage girls chained and drugged in his flat , you don't see these so called * good* Nigerians. So people readily think the Nigerian community is an evil community with evil intentions for the country. They will never condemn Nigerian evil doings in the country but are quick to appear and milk a situation when a Nigerian gets a bullet in his skull. Now tell me, would you welcome such * good* hypocritical people without suspicion in your community?
I am quite objective which makes me different. I recently posted something similar on the UK thread where people accuse travel agent always forging documents without their notice. Then, after carefully reviewing the comments, I made a case for agent and gave a simple comparison. It is not possible for a surgeon to carry out an operation on a patient without a consent. For every forgery or falsification, even when applicants deny not to know, in actual sense, there were part of it. Because you don't give a travel agent requisite document to apply for a visa, you just pay him, where do you expect he or she gets document from? They will obviously "package your application na"

Those that have been following my trajectory on this platform since I joined, know that I am very objective with issues.

If anyone gets angry about my views, it's on them. We can polish and pretend everything is fine in Nigeria, but remember the Nidcom boss at a time got really angry and exploded about the re occuring drug peddling cases orchestrated by Nigerians in Malaysia that she had to lambast some persons on Twitter.

Calling a spade a spade is admittance for growth(Just like confessing your sins and seeking forgiveness for salvation of the soul) and not denial. We sometimes dont have to be diplomatic about issues. This will help us to properly see things clearly so we can move forward better as a people

For a fact, the greatest problems of the Nigerian Elite is that alot of them do not tell themselves the truth , even as things are difficult in Nigeria, there are still people that will tell you APC remains the best Government.

Make we dey talk truth as e be , so we can move forward.

Thanks .

The long and short of the entire discuss is that Solder go Soldier Come, Every of us will carry the name of country on our head
It's on us to build our nations to be reputable amongst committee of nations.

Whether Nigerians, South Africans or Kenyans. Whatever part of this world you represent, Promote your country in good light and save the career of many of us honest people.

People literally have to change their base when applying for jobs or attending interviews these days, like there's this stereotype.

Once employers see you are from a perceived place, they send you an automated declined notice.

Job opportunities don't come easily to skilled persons. I was speaking with a graphic designer in Nigeria last week and he explained to me how he had to change his location on upwork to US because all the people that contacted him said they can't give him the job because of his location.

You got to be a bit more strategic these days. You don't get it, until when you see and encounter these events.

So, let's walk the talk, and start the repair from here!!!

Thank you Contributors.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 5:42pm On Jul 25, 2023
A very interesting topic and it nice to hear views from across corners. Please let maintain a very decent criticism and avoid using vulgar words. We are here to educative ourselves.

Now, let us ask ourselves, and for those who are abreast with events.
Just last week, some group of Nigerians were videoed on the street of instanbul in a scene supposed to be a fracas amongst two warring rivary groups.
The aftermath of that event led to the arrest and harrasment of many Nigerians in Turkey. About few weeks ago, a ban was placed on Nigerians in Seychelles. I can go on. Please let us ask ourselves one question. Do you think we targeted by other nationalities? OR it is just a case of reprisal based on our perceived dented image? These are questions we should ponder on as a People.

I do not want to start listing the number of countries i have visited in Africa, because is of no use to the conversation, but i am a well traveled person, and i have been to a number of countries in Africa. Unless, we want to be deceiving ourselves and playing ludo with the truth, Nigerians are not seen in good light in many places.

True, we are well accomplished , well read, quite smart, very illustrous, but i will like to borrow Atinuke word "We too dey overdo"

This topic is not even one of many, we have issues bordering on illegal immigration, drug cartels, and cultism downplaying the efforts of Honest People and we dont even want to be talking about tribes, because Nigerians are the target, not Yoruba , Ibo or Hausa. It is that green passport they are after.

Promoting a need to re orient and educate people is very important. The way and manner we talk in Public Places too, we want to create a scene that we have arrived? Alot of education is needed.

Even if you have all the degrees on the planet, and you have traveled to the whole world, if you dont know how to comport or behave in public places, it is an issue.

I repeat, I repeat again, Alot of education is needed as people are traveling.
I remember in those days when we were younger, before we left for school, our parent would sit us down a night before , and give us all necessary life advise, it is now left for you.

The same still happens in Higher Institutions, soon as matriculation is completed, Student are made to attend Orientation days, so they can be guided.
These are the areas i feel we are lacking as a society, and we need to begin to re direct our steps.

Lastly, We are all here to educate , inform and enlighten ourselves, be open to constructive criticism , and let us be mindful of our use of words.

Thank you.

@ Sharone21 come and read here you . Words from an actual sane human who has the ability to self critic , and not always play the victim card even though it's pretty clear that your desperate Japa culture is causing you a lot of problems in many different countries.

@ the poster. Unfortunately your countrymen will resent you for saying the things you said up there, what you should have said to get their attention:
" South African home affairs is xenophobic , they hate us because we are better than them , blah blah " grin. Owning up to why Nigerians are forever singled out in different countries is not something they're ready to face.

As for the free movement of people, I think that's just a fantasy(even from well-meaning people), it sounds nice on paper and when it's preached by fat politicians, but it would be a disaster for the Southern and Northen parts of the continent ( Pan africanists will hate this part grin ) .That can only work only when others force their own governments to prioritise the most basic; healthcare , education, human rights and other basic infrastructure like roads and access to running water etc. We pay huge taxes for these to work. These I believe are some of the things that attract migrants to South Africa and them. South Africa isn't perfect either , it has a mountain of its own problems but South Africans aren't the type who take pride in burdening outsiders or strangers for pity ; peaceful and stable countries like Botswana and Namibia can attest to that. I just wonder why so many of your people behave like hooligans in other people's countries , and wonder why the host communities treat them like garbage ? cry. We don't seek to live in Nigeria, and we don't want you to bring Nigeria here. If you know that you cannot adapt to a new way of living why move out of Nigeria to go and recreate Nigeria in somebody else's home? Nigerians in Hillbrow kidnap and shyt in street corners where humans should be walking ....and you expect us to clap our hands whilst you turn our communities into mini Lagoses. These are grown ass man squatting in fckn public....for what ?

All countries have hooligans but your country seems to be fond of exporting them to other societies before grooming them to be good guests or ambassadors of their own nation. If you don't change that ,your passport will keep getting more worthless and well- meaning Nigerians will keep on getting unfair treatment ( because others readily assume they're uncouth and criminally minded or coming at them with evil intentions).......and its human nature for one to try and protect their homes from perceived wickedness. Western countries like Canada and Australia made smart decisions by making their tourists visas difficult and only allowing in the best of the Nigerian society . The countries that were lenient * brotherly * like South Africa, Tanzania, Asian countries etc learnt a hard lesson (Nigerians think nice and welcoming people are weak and stupid and therefore will provoke you till you snap and treat them as they are treated back home, so that they'll have something to wail about just as they do in Nigeria)....its like you guys have this need to be hateful or hated everywhere you go......or you just can't live in a functional or non- chaotic environment. More visa bans will fall on your heads and I sincerely wish the SA government will frustrate you guys more. I feel sorry for the real intending tourists but atleast other countries like Kenya and them are still lenient to you guys so you have those options but I hear that the everyday citizens aren't so fond of you either.......... cry
I am actually amongst the list of those who liked this post and needless to say much, at a time like this, diplomacy of issues is not best, we should talk and speak truth about issues so we can re align our path and move forward.

Nice .
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by hunee:
No.
Let us just be objective with our judgement of issues.

Nothing else

The message was very clear.
Even on this Nairaland, if you have been following comments, have we not seen instances when some persons claimed to have forged or falsified informations to apply for visas?
I remember Tutu, myself and some other person was cautioning the person not to propagate such message here.

Let us do the right things whether agent or applicant. That is what we should be preaching and practising.

Goodnight.
Newbiein2016:
Are you an agent?
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 11:16pm On Jul 24, 2023
I think this issue needs to be discussed on a larger scale. There are actually alot of Nigerians hanging presently in SA with expired visas and running around and away from immigration. I spoke with one of the ladies at BMA extensively about their recent hostility towards Nigerians and she opened a whole chapter for me. At some point, i didnt even know what to say. It is the same report in other places too. I think Nigerians traveling needs to be properly oriented. It is not enough to just hop on a plane, arrive in another man's country and begin to misbehave. You dont expect them to fold their hands. In as much as we want free movement of people across borders, look at the enormous setbacks. Tell me one country now in Africa, that you dont have to apply for visa for , even the ones that were visa on arrival have placed a ban(Seychelles)

So, it is worrisome, but i think people like you and many other great people here can champion that course and be an ambassador for change. I tell people, wherever you go, especially outside your country, Just see yourself as an identity for a whole nation. Whatever actions you take, will come back at 200m plus people, so just keep a Good image.
That is the orientation we need to start preaching, it is not just to be traveling and traveling. People need to know why they are traveling, so they behave well outside.
Atinukemi23:
No Lies!! The rate in which other countries are even refusing us no matter your past travel history if you like have a visa of heaven on your passport na refuse you dey.
They just look for a flimsy excuse and truth be told anywhere Nigerians touch we too dey over do.
Canada is the one opening their doors to us now but sooner or later we may be banned.
Dubai banned us, US took us off the Visa lottery and so on.
E go better that I don’t know when.

Very correct Kel, However, Have it in mind, Rwanda is visa on arrival, but hold some usd. I was in Kigali last year, and we paid 55usd for some kind of test, i think covid and one other before allowed entry. My hotel was just about 5mins to the airport, a place called Kanombe . It is a small country of about 8m people, and very strict with their laws. Clean, Accomodating people but shine shocked your eyes when calculating your money with exchange guys. Payment systems are seamless , they have mpesa, moneygram and other pan african fintechs. I visited the Kigali Memorial, The Stadium , CBD, Made in Rwanda stores and couple of other places during my short stay. I hope you have a great time.

cc: Atinuke
Africankel:
Rwanda is actually visa on arrival for Nigerians and it is free.

I have no idea why your SA visa was refused. Maybe you should take your time to look at it again if you did something wrong. In the last two months (June/July), I've applied for a couple of visas and all were approved. SA, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique and Kenya. While I agree that Nigerians have a tainted reputation I believe the content of your application might stand you out.

I've never used the SA eVisa thingy, so I have no idea how it works. Perhaps you should try the sticker Visa, I hear it's fast these days.

My favorite kenyan meals are Ugali, Chapati and Pilau. These meals, i have carefully selected them. East Africans do not eat spicy foods the way we do, and pepper is not their thing, so it is expected, keep flagyl to avoid emergencies grin, unless you want to be eating smokies (Hotdog)
Atinukemi23:
Mauritius is a place to be too visa free, but if you will be transiting through kenya, you need kenyan transit visa, with that if you use Kenyan airways and you transit through kenya the layover is actually enough to go out and do half a day safari tour in Kenya both ways you can use one stone to kill two birds.
I must warn you, the Kenyan street food are not for the faint hearted. Keep purging pills💊 handy.
