Probably they couldnt open the file you uploaded. Very simple
EcashPlanet:
SA refused my evisa application for the reason “invalid bank statement”.
This is utter rubbish because bank statements uploaded were genuine. The graduation program we were supposed to travel for have been done since close to 2 weeks ago.

Who understands the meaning of “invalid bank statement” please?

These people are just useless!

This question is important to be carefully considered
worry357:
Is it a real job offer?
What kind of job is it that Chinese people wont do?
At best you are probably going into some sort of slave labour.
At worst you are going to wake up one day with your kidneys missing!
TravelRe: URGENT: Help In Getting Nigeria Visa From Atlanta, USA by hunee:
My flight is on Saturday and I've not gotten my visa.
kristen12:
The applicant is a US citizen and her passport is with the Nigerian Embassy in Atlanta.
Anyway, follow up with the Embassy or you have the option of withdrawing your passport, then applying directly from Nigeria. The visa will be issued to you on arrival, if you have anyone in Nigeria, ask them to help you contact the Immigration section of the arriving airport for more details. This process is quicker.

Goodluck.

Luckychild2015:
If your visa expired 5 years ago you don’t qualify as a first timer. I have also visited the following countries over 5 years ago, Mexico and Argentina.
I will be going for my USA interview next week because,I will be going to Paris from USA.

Cheers.
Yes. You are correct.
The permissable cover is 5 years for Schengen.
For UK, 10 years.

I asked because I wanted to know if you submitted your previous passport along present one , which for obvious reasons would have given the VO a notice that you had a previous US visa.
Thanks for the insight.

I wish you well ahead of your US interview and we hope you come back to share with us how the interview went on that section.

Thank you.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by hunee: 12:11am On May 23, 2023
Luckychild2015:
I have a previous US travel history but I didn’t include it because It was last issued 2014.

Documents submitted are as follows
3 months personal savings bank statements
With closing balance of #40m and total credit of #105m within the 3 months.
3 months personal current account with closing balance of #5m and total credit of 15m
3 months dollar account with closing balance of $7500
Letter from my bank.
My cac documents, company introduction letter and ID card
My 3 houses land documentation
Land use charge payment for all my houses
My cars title documents
My family pictures
Self introduction letter
My day to day itinerary in Paris
Travel insurance
Hotel reservation
Flight reservation
My wife’s CAc documents and work ID card
Letter from her company
Wife’s self introduction letter

One month visa approved for me and my wife.
Our application was treated within 9 days.
With the things you listed and proof of substantial home ties, I think they were convincing, eventhough VO are unpredictable.
I had to take my time to carefully read your feedbacks, and wondering under the category you applied if you didnt attach your Previous US visa.

Would you like to share that info?
Did you apply as a first timer?

Thank you.

For others reading these exchange of feedbacks, Please use these informations to prep for your applications and go through the thread. Someone shared a very vital info here earlier about belgium hammering on booking hotels, not just using dummy.

I think these things can be really helpful for intending applicants.

Advantages of having a Previous or Current US visa.

1. Gives your application an edge.

2. You fall under frequent traveler category

3. Stats has shown that people with US visas, pre, curr are likely to be granted Schengen visas. It portends a proper feasibilty.

Please do not forget to always attach your previous visas that fall under that category to your applications. In rare cases, will you hear of refusals for these category of persons.

Wish you all luck.

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by hunee: 7:03pm On May 22, 2023
Two news were quite captivating over the weekend, the first one was that of the Proposed UK government clamp down on Nigerian Student bringing their relatives to the Uk via study route and Immigration service Proposed plan to Use Nipost to deliver passport to our respective locations in Nigeria.

My assessment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is that they have made some giant strides, more importantly with the newly harmonised e passport that gives a standard term of 10 years validity.

And also with the policy of recipocration that allows for countries to extend validity periods for visas , just as it has recently been effective in the case of US.

Funny enough, Uk does not look at your opening balance , there are more concerned about normalised account structure that has not got too much cash inflows. I always advise people to have a special/separate account to use for Visa Applications. Eco's do not like to see all those irregularities.

A very big congratulations , The Gaming Orca grin

Ok boss, cos I was wondering your opening balance is just #300, while your closing balance is #1.1m in the space of 2months and you were issued the visa 😂
I guess your first visa approval speaks high volume too in your case lol 😂 Congratulations again boss ✌️✌️

Me telling you the amount won't do it justice. What you should be enquiring about is how to arrive at a reasonable amount to use as salary with regards to the application especially in view of rising pound sterling to naira exchange on oanda.

This has been a six month plan you see grin but when I settle down this night I go give you the finances trick to use.

Not really. I think they are also careful of issuing visas to every applicants, they grant for those with travel history faster. From my observation in recent times.

In my own case, i applied under the frequent traveler category.

No wahala brother but suffry suffry dey bash people for here while commenting, it is not easy to face visa rejections or refusals on several occasions needless to talk about them showing willingness to express themselves here. Alot of these people are frustrated and traumatised.

We should show empathy in addressing issues as it relates to visa refusals.

That's my point with you.

Have a great weekend 👊

I hope you do not loose your relevance here in the process. grin Reason why people like giselle, tutu and some other persons are still being referenced is because of their charismatic feedbacks. You need not explain to me , explain to him. However, you made some valid points in the previous comments where you advised him to visit other places , i will agree on that because of his background with refusals as you have stated. In addition, while you are commenting and trying to give advise to those who ask questions, Please be courteous. Even as Nairaland is a faceless platform where alot of us do not have opportunities to meet each other, respond to questions in a respectful manner. Do not make jest of other people's predicament. Regards
Thegamingorca:
grin shokpori how are you? Let me explain it to you in simple terms grin

Well, He has suffered a Cyprus entry refusal and was deported despite being a student in a school of Cyprus. Whatever the reason that was given was not stated in writing by the Cyprian authorities and is therefore a blank check to be misinterpreted. grin

If this were the only problem, God for send holy ghost come to find way touch ECO heart small grin

But you see,

The problem now is that he acquired that Cyprus entry refusal/deportation immediately after he had suffered 2 UK refusals.

Maybe you think he needs to speak "Omo yoruba", instead of oyinbo English grin with the ECO in explaining himself further. But let me tell you now, that he has a bad travel record for the world to see.

grin grin this is something a mere unbacked explanation cannot solve wouldn't you agree shokpori?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by hunee: 10:04pm On May 20, 2023
Did you read the reason why he was denied entry into cyprus? Are you suggesting he travels to a few other countries whilst his plans to apply for Uk? Una oyinbo dey too plenty for here grin . Explain your point so the enquirer can understand you better.
Thegamingorca:
It might seem a waste of money but by no means valueless. Travel to other countries apart from the five eyes and Europe in the past 10yrs is a question that on the VAF.

You even go further to explain, what country it is, how long you stayed at cetera.

In my opinion it's better to have atleast one positive travel history against that indicting travel rejection at the immigration border of Cyprus
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by hunee: 7:42pm On May 20, 2023
OK. Declare this information on your visa application, because there is no way you can hide it, your passport will be scanned. Also, you may need to explain why and how it happened in a brief. I wish you the best.
DannyBillgate:
I was told at port of entry that my name was not in the school system while I have my acceptance letter with with me showing deposit of $1k I paid. It was fraustrating though I was not the only person, we're about 6 in number that day. Worst part be say they don't understand English and they will never give chance to explain yourself.
