Alot of people always point accusing fingers at agent, forgeting that some of these applicants themselves have criminal intent. I remember last year when i was in the midst of someone who was traveling , and a conversation came up about one of his friends, then we got talking and asked him about his travel plans. Inbetween, he said something like he was preparing some legal and police report to withdraw his passport from Vfs.

This one, there was no agent. The applicant himself falsified documents and applied for a visa. This is just one out of many cases, but when anyone want to talk, they will say Agent, as if they were not part of it.

With due respect to the previous respondent, Ashiri , and others, I just tot it was necessary to rely this here, no intent to undermine or disrepute whatever post that was earlier sent.

Just to add, we know alot of people usually want the services of an agent because one major reason, which is bank statement or documents. When applicants cannot present or tender required documents for their visa applications, this is where we usually see instances where forgery becomes an option.

However, systems has changed and the embassies are even more smarter and equipped to handle these re occuring incidences.
what we should encourage people to always to do, is to take time to build their travel inventories such as financial status, documentations, gather requisite informations via their sub platforms about applications such as vfs and maybe nairaland. You can send mails if you need info.

This can go along way to reduce the cases, because when people talk about visa rejections or denials , especially for France , Germany and they add it to the decisions" Information regarding documents provided could not be verified" . Like a norm for most of them, it shows the level of distrust and disbelieve with whatever document you submit to these embassies, thereby making certain visas very difficult to attain,even when your intentions are genuine.

Lastly, the word agent is big. Because it cut across many professions, the perception that all agent are same is not correct. If you ever met a genuine and reliable travel consultant, you did find yourself very lucky.

There alot of honest "agent" out there.

I got a report from the BMA section at OR TAMBO about Nigerians over staying in their country. One thing can lead to another. Not saying it is a reason for rejections tho, but if you get back to Nigeria, use VFS. However, if you insist on vacay in other countries, Pls see zanzibar or Casablanca.

I just thought i should add this here quickly, for those of you applying fresh for SA visa, Please get a reference letter from your bank, signed and delivered to merge with your bank statement for upload. Do not upload the bank statement alone.

Please take note. You can get a reference letter from your bank, just go and request for it. It is simple.

Department, Home Affairs has been rejecting alot of visas lately because they feel the SOA are adulterated.

I went to the dashboard and in the progress status it says Adjudication outcome received, but I can't seem to find the outcome, whether my eVisa was approved or not. I checked the documents and letter part and there's nothing there asides from the 14 days notice I was issued about 3 days ago.

I personally think this issue you raised should be looked into. Everything about Nairaland especially if it goes outside the discussion is Scam. That is why most informations here are usually left un answered and many leave the platforms with frustrations. When everyone assumes people with some priviledged information are scammers, it becomes a problem. I recently have been dealing with a lot of guys i met on Nairaland selling forex, and i randomly picked their number here. I have even sent close to 400k to one of them. This is someone i met here.

So i think we need to change this mindset. Else people who have informations and can help will be forced to go away and many will be left stranded.

However, I am not in anyway supporting anyone's advertorials or jobs, feel free to deal with whoever you want but carry out your background checks, which i feel is appropriate.

HOW TO BOOK A TICKET WITHOUT PAYING

1. Open the website you choose to use.

Wakanow, Travelbeta, Travelstart, Travelden, Travelwings.

2. Enter your travel dates. Return, One way or Multi city

3. Once your travel dates are available, the next page will be for your bio data.

4. Enter your personal information

5. Click book on hold or Pay at the bank( Or available options which does not stipulate immediate payment)


Automatically, your itinerary is stored and sent to your email after these process.

Use control + P , as if you are printing , save that email extract as pdf with a name you can remember, SA ticket or anything.


Soon as you get to the upload page, you attach it when rounding up your application.


It's a very simple and straight forward process but you have to be patient to read and follow through it.

These are practical things you should take your time to know.

I hope this information helps someone. Just incase visa is not approved, most travel agencies will not refund.

I did use the DHA to apply and I got rejected because the yellow cards are invalid which they are, and for a week now that DHA website is non responsive no matter how you try.
And I am even applying from England.
I used both wifi, and mobile internet, is still doesn’t work.

DHA is still most preferable.

I advise you all to take your time , be calm and study the processes on the portal before you begin.
