I had the same issue and had mine done at a private organisation in London. I used uk fingerprints the 2 times i had it done.
Their web is ukfingerprints.com
You can ring either ring them/send an email to book. They’ll usually ask the country and purpose you need it for. They’ll provide the card as well.

taiwolola:
Hello Great Team. Please i need advise on how one can do fingerprinting in the UK for Licensure exam in the US (NCLEX). My agents said the person should visit local police stations but its been very tough to do this in the UK. Anyone who has gone through this in the UK should kindly advise. Its for Illinoise board.

* Texas.
* New York.
* Illinois.
* West Virginia.
* Montana.
* Colorado
Those are the states you can register with as an international nurse without SSN. When she’s passed, she can start being interested in only Maryland and DC for jobs. She needs to bear in mind she may still not find jobs in those places.

Hi
ufkenedy:
Is there another way y'all get ATT? Pls share.

RN in question is based in UK & wants to move to US. Connectics already refused because no nclex. She's ready to write nclex as she's been studying for a year but can't get ATT. She's interested only in Maryland or DC in that order. She couldn't complete Maryland BON registration because they're asking for ssn so she couldn't go throughwithapplication.
Any other way you guys get att or any advice? Pls share

You don’t need to use the validation form from CGFNS.
Log in to your NMC UK online portal, and request a certificate of current professional status. Fill in the details as necessary, pay and submit. Ignore the form sent to you by CGFNS, they’re aware UK does not do paper.

Emiluv0001:
Please any Uk Nurse who has gone through the Cgfns evaluation? How were you able to verify using the Validation form sent for evaluation? I have done that using my NMC Account but the validation form sent to my application status is still there and I don’t know what to do about it.

Yeah, you can send an email

quivah:
Can I send you an email?
It is a highly recommended care home on carehome UK.
The 6 probation period has to do with when I pass osce. Then a 3 month probation period after which permanent employment will be confirmed as long as they receive no complaints about my work.
I have another interview with the Manager today. And i will be sent my job description in a doc.
I'm a RN.

I will take your concerns up and ask better questions regarding the probation and why staff leave often.
I have researched about them and they have more than 95% +ratings
TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Hunnybee: 1:14pm On Nov 30, 2021
Care home is where people go to make more money and escape the very fast pace of the NHS, so if a care home has a high turn over rate, it is a red flag. But ultimately it’s you who will work there, it’s up to you to decide.

Pagxy:
staff are always leaving carehomes from my research, I also have an interview with a care home on 14 th December and when researching about care homes generally, I discovered that people are always complaining about working there. I feel its more of a starting point before one gets a job at the NHS.
TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Hunnybee: 9:50am On Nov 30, 2021
No, I am not in wales. I am in England.
There’s too many red flags here. Knowing what I know about the UK now, I would absolutely not take the job if i were you. What is the definition of ‘if you don’t commit to your work’ ?
Does that mean if you don’t do overtime or extra shifts? Or does that mean if you refuse to come back in on your days off? My deduction from this is that it’s a small care home possibly without any other branches. You’ll be isolated, they can change the law as they please, if you fail to comply they can threaten to take away your sponsorship, they might even make things up and report you to NMC, or you might genuinely make a mistake and they take it up with NMC. It sounds like modern slavery to me. Are you a RMN?

quivah:
Yes, also a big concern for Me.
I spoke with the owner actually, and I asked why such amount. He said it was £3500 before but they had to increase it because their RNs were always leaving within months of starting because they get hospital jobs. He said most of them just used care home as an opportunity to leave the country. And since their facility is a mental health institution, constant change in staff affects their patients...blah blah. He was overly friendly and I kon dey reason say hope no be trapped based on my interview experiences here.
It's still a big concern for me. In fact, they sent me their contract last night.
Non negotiable.
I will start working on probation for 6 months before becoming permanent staff. If I however, don't commit to my work, the probation period will be extended until I satisfy them.
I have to work with them for 3 years or pay £10k if I intend to leave before then
Pay is enticing
No public holiday
Monthly staff rewards
Osce, visa and flight will be paid for
Single room accommodation
Shift

Are you in Wales?
TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Hunnybee: 12:06am On Nov 30, 2021
If i were you, I would be more concerned about the fact that
1. They have a high turn over rate even though they pay more than the NHS does
2. They require you to pay more than they spent bringing you in before you can leave.
Why do the nurses keep leaving for other jobs like the manager said? You don’t know it cos you’re not in the system yet, but going by my experience in this Country i can assure you that there’s something inherently wrong. And the only reason why they put the clause is to stop you from leaving no matter what. £10k is a lot of money, it will be enough to put down as deposit for mortgage in some parts of the Country. Please choose wisely.

quivah:
Hi. I got an offer in Swansea. Care home job.
But what I am reading about Swansea isn't isn't that pleasant. Is there anyone living in Swansea here?

Do you think I should look further? The care home contract says 3 years or if i intend to leave before then, then I will have to pay a fee of £10k.
The manager said they had to put the clause in place because a lot of their RN leave as soon as they get hospital jobs...causing constant change in staff with affect their patients.
I googled about the care home and the reviews were good but the important question is how is Swansea??. I seem to be reading lots of violence, drug, ruggedity about them online.
TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Hunnybee: 5:39pm On Nov 08, 2021
Your Sister is about to get scammed, plain and simple.
1. The employer pays for her visa application and OSCE exam, some employers will ask that you pay it back but only after passing the OSCE and they’ll then deduct it from her salary every month
2. There is nothing called adaptation in the UK anymore. What happens is you come in as a pre registered nurse, take OSCE prep classes organised by your employer, take OSCE,you pass, get your PIN and start working as a UKRN
Anyone telling you there’s an adaptation program or a waiver for it issued by the NMC UK does not know their onions, and anyone asking your Sister to pay OSCE fee before travelling will only take the money and disappear.

Fiestafetta:
Thank you for your time. When I ask her about it, she said the money is for OSCE exams in the UK hospital, that she will pay the money before traveling for the training in the UK. Please is she supposed to pay for the money or is she supposed to pay the money while in Nigeria? My second question is this, is the hospital to do the adaptation or OSCE training programme not recommended by the NMC or whichever agency she registered to......
TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Hunnybee: 9:23am On Aug 19, 2021
This is not true. Ielts UKVI was required for UK visa purposes back in 2019. This law was changed in 2020, and I personally know more than 30 nurses who came into the UK with just Ielts. So either UKVI or just Ielts, as long as you have the required band, you’re good to go

Nhimah1:
Write IELTS UKVI
So u would use a stone to kill two birds
If u write normal IELTS for NMC application,u would eventually write UKVI own because it’s used for visa applications
So just write UKVI own

fatima04:
You are right. Add Australia to the list. The major difference between US and UK is the latter being a government employer and the former is mostly private employer. Hence a higher salary range.

But the truth is its easier to get a job in the UK in medical profession than those countries. Imagine registering as a nurse in Texas and you want to move to Newyork, you have to register with that state all over again. Meanwhile NHS is NHS.

Don't even start on the whole Nclex exam process again...

The money gap is crazy, I really do feel Nurses are greatly underpaid in this country but ofcourse some too they chop well well.
There's the compact license now, which allows you to practice in all 34 states who are members without having to go through the stress of registration all over again

Looked them up, still N700 per kg. thanks a lot

Search for Centrepoint Cargo, London on google to get their contact and rates. Last time I used them, I paid N700/kg but not sure what their rates are now. I used them between 2017 and 2019 and they delivered from between 5 -14 days.
You can also use Google to search for others to compare rates

You can swear an affidavit in a Nigerian court stating that both bearers are the same person and upload it under ur identification documents. NMC UK will likely revert the name on your UK license to match the one on the Nigerian license. You can also upload the affidavit when you apply for visa. NMCN will verify you but with the name they have you registered with

Praiseattah:
Please I have an issue. If my NMCN license does not have a middle name and i pay for nmc uk verification with a middle name because the name on my passport has a middle name, do you think I will have an issue

For example, if my license shows Praise Attah and my name on nmc UK shows Praise Ben Attah. Do you think NMCN will still verify me despite the difference in the name?
If no what do youn suggest I do?

It isn’t unfortunate that he answered wrongly, he’s always answered wrongly with confidence. And pls note that i never said he should not answer questions, i only said he should not give the wrong answers. There’s nothing wrong in not knowing, no one was born with all of these knowledge and we all gained it as we journeyed through the process ourselves. That been said @MrsAnn I didn’t rain sulphur, If you can’t accept your shortcomings and acknowledge them instead of trying to find reasons/justifications for them, you can’t be a good Nurse.

MrsAnn:
Good morning all. Normally, I come here to read and get updates but now I've finally made up my mind to register, so I can make some comments. @hunnybee There's nothing more gracious than when someone makes a mistake, and later apologises for the mistakes done. Bluebeard made a mistake and he said he's sorry, what else more were you expecting him to do? Kill himself? For crying out loud, its just unfortunate he answered wrongly this time around, and you all are raining sulphur and brimstone on him. How fast it is to point fingers when someone goes wrong and suddenly goes mute when d correct thing is said? Asides this issue he had with @vickyehi and this misinformation he gave and some other times I can't mention now, there are countless times he has given correct answers. you said he mustn't answer questions, that also is wrong on your part. I'm saying this because u said to him that he must not answer every question, which suggests to me that you are capable of doing such too) yet, he answered. Bluebeard has his own shortcomings too, but for everytime he was wrong, he comes back here to clarify the information, which also suggests to me that he's open minded to learn. @bsn4eva And you calling him "empty"? And saying he acts like he knows everything? That was wrong too and I feel u should tender an apology for that . Funny as it may sound, if everyone contributes by answering questions , like in Canadian FSW or PNP threads, we'd have really gone far with this thread. U can imagine from 2016-till date, we're still on page 134, doesn't that suggest something to you? Pls we are professional colleagues here, let love rain, no need for hate speeches and comments to tear down each others. Please stay safe everyone. I love you all

Let me chip this last one in, those that have benefited from this group in any way, please there's nothing wrong if u come here and share the good news with everyone here, tell us how u got your abroad job, how u passed your NCLEX-RN /CBT, tells us how u passed your ielts and how u landed in USA / UK. This has a way of encouraging the younger generations. We'll all rejoice with you
TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Hunnybee: 7:39pm On May 11, 2020
I don’t think it was due to oversight, you said ‘they accept either’ meaning you def knew what you were saying. What’s the good in passing on wrong knowledge and info, plus why is it difficult for you to accept that the info you’ve given is wrong? Since you’ve been here as BlueBeard all you’ve given is wrong info

BlueBeard:
Sincerely it was an error due to oversight, it wasn't intentional. Secondly its not a must to answer people here, truth be told, but what's the use having knowledge that others can't benefit from? Mind you, there are many times I've answered people correctly, you didn't ask me what I was up to.....its fine, obviously you saying all these due to personal vendetta. They were times, you asked questions in the past that I answered you. Of course you may find this hard to believe because I lost the password to the previous account, hence this moniker ...I was wrong saying GT was accepted, instead of Academic, I'm human, we all make mistakes. And the argument I had with Vicky, was ironed out, it was just a piece of the whole puzzle I was missing out, and I came here to thank her for the clarification, after Vicky and I spoke at length as regards it. We are all here to learn, if anyone ask questions I know the answers to, I'm gonna answer the person correctly, this time
TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Hunnybee: 10:32pm On May 10, 2020
NMC UK ONLY accepts the ACADEMIC VERSION OF IELTS. If you go on their website, you’ll find the Ielts requirement there

Chiomajesus77:
Good evening ALL, I'm looking at enrolling for IELTS and not too sure of the type for UK nurse route, GT or Academic test. Please can someone help me clarify ?
TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Hunnybee: 10:30pm On May 10, 2020
The least you can do is ‘google’ the answer before coming here to answer questions. If you are not sure pls ignore instead of misleading people. You seem to be really good at that

BlueBeard:
NMC-UK accepts either of the above mentioned tests... I hope I answered you
TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Hunnybee: 7:35pm On May 05, 2020
No agent sponsors ‘the person you’re coming with’ . It is the employer that gives a letter of maintenance, saying they will provide you with the money needed for your family to live on should you need it. This letter is what you provide in lieu of POF at the visa application. If you reach out to the HR dept of your trust/ employer , they’ll be able to provide you with it.

BlueBeard:
It's on their official website, lemme get the link for you. But why not give it a trial, by asking the agent whether they can sponsor the person coming with you? U never can tell, there may be a favourable response

Because i have never heard that avant recruits to the UK.

SOLARPOWER1:
Why did you use that emoji when Avant was mentioned for UK...Is there something you want to say and please if Avant is not ok , recommend a good agent here to help others
TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Hunnybee: 2:30pm On Apr 29, 2020
Avant for UKhuh Anyway it’s advisable that you go through an agency for migration to Uk. No agency will pay for your exams or ask you to pay them, they get paid by your employer. So you stand to loose more not going through one. If you have the health surcharge, visa application fee, flight fee, and at least 2 months rent, you can come with your family, that’s what i did. You don’t necessarily have to wait till you get your PIN before bringing them over.

Amy360:
The reason I asked this question is that I know of someone who travelled through avant healthcare to UK and after 3months,they sent for the husband and their son. So my question now is for me that doesn't want to go through any agency but want to go through the process of verification, writing my CBT exam and ielts and by God's grace successfully gets to UK,would they send for my husband after 3months or when?
