TUDUN BIRI BOMBINGS: A TIME FOR NIGERIANS TO UNITE AGAINST OUR COMMON ENEMIES - TY BURATAI HUMANITY CARE The recent unfortunate incident in Tudun Biri, Igabi LGA of Kaduna State, which resulted in the loss of over 85 lives due to an unintended drone attack, has sparked a national conversation on the complexities of asymmetric warfare and the need for unity in the face of common enemies. In a statement released by the Chairman of the TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation, Amb Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani Sadaukin Garkuwan Keffi, condolences were extended to the families of the deceased, and sympathies were expressed for the wounded. Prayers were offered for the souls of the departed and for the swift recovery of those injured. The Chairman of the Foundation highlighted the concern of the Grand Patron of the foundation, His Excellency Amb Lt Gen Tukur Yusufu Buratai CFR Betara of Biu, upon hearing the tragic news. The foundation emphasized the importance of not using this tragic incident to fuel tribal, regional, or religious tensions. It urged the populace to remain calm and allow the government and security agencies to thoroughly investigate the matter. The incident prompted swift regret and an apology from the Nigerian Army High Command, led by the Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen TA Lagbaja, followed by Chief of Defence Staff Gen CG Musa and the Kaduna State Government. The presidency also expressed sympathy and announced the institution of an investigation panel. These actions are commendable and represent steps in the right direction. The Grand Patron of the Foundation has expressed his commendations to the Chief of Army Staff and the Chief of Defence Staff for their courage, maturity, and professional approach in handling the unfortunate incident. However, it is crucial to recognize that this unfortunate incident occurred within the context of an ongoing struggle against bandits and terrorists who seek to undermine our nation’s security and unity. These enemies of our country will seize upon any opportunity, such as this incident, to further divide us and subvert our sovereignty. It is imperative that we remain united in the fight against insecurity. Engaging in blame games and fostering negative sentiments will only serve to demoralize our troops and hinder our troops' efforts to create a safe and secure Nigeria. The ongoing inquiries will help shed light on the true circumstances surrounding the Tudun Biri incident. The foundation assured the public that the government and security agencies are fully engaged in addressing the situation. “There is no government that will deliberately kill its own people,” the statement read. “Mistakes may have been made, but we urge you to remain calm and trust in the ability of the government and security agencies to rectify the situation.” While these inquiries are being put in place, it is very necessary to advise on the need for training and retraining of the troops in all aspects of tactics, operational art, and the use of modern technologies. Intelligence operations must be coordinated by all the security agencies at the local government, state, and national levels. This will give the added advantage for effective planning and execution of operations either jointly or by a single Service. The TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation has been actively involved since the incident, providing support and assistance to the affected families and communities. The foundation remains committed to helping those affected by this tragedy. In closing, the foundation offered its prayers for an end to the insecurity challenges that continue to pose a threat to the nation. It called for unity and cooperation among all Nigerians in order to overcome these challenges and ensure a peaceful and prosperous future for all. As the investigation into the accidental bombing continues, the TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation stands in solidarity with the affected families and the Kaduna State Government, offering its support and condolences during this difficult time.

Don't Politicize The DSS , Olowu Warns Mischief Makers Olowu of Kuta, HRM Oba Hameed Adekunle Oyelude Makama, CON, Tegbosun III, has warned mischief makers to steer away from the activities of the Department of State Services, DSS, through unfounded allegations and narrative capable of affecting the morals of officers and rank and file. Olowu, in a statement issued on Sunday, said the news making the rounds that the director general of the DSS, Bichi, has siphoned money meant for the payment of the N35,000 wage award approved by President Bola Tinubu, is not only unfounded, but ridiculous. "It is a known fact that the DSS's salary and allowances are special and can not be fully categorised as civil servants because the services are essential. "It's also clear that the intention of the purveyors of the fake news is to cause disaffection between the officers and the DG." Olowu said. Continuing, Olowu said it is the prerogative of Mr President to chose who he want to work with as far as the DSS DG position is concerned and at any time mr president so desir, adding that the security of the country should be paramount now more than ever. He, however, advised that this is the time for all and sundry to demonstrate our patriotism so that the country can overcome the economic challenges, adding that those behind the evil scheme should desist forthwith. With the little we know about the service "BICHI" does not take welfare packages of officers and personels for granted that's why many operatives and stakeholders wish president Tinubu continuous retention of the DG, this narrative is dead on arrival because the Service has been enjoying series of packages even before president Tinubu comes on board. We have strong confidence in the pedigree of DG Yusufu magaji Bichi and the moral of the service personel and officers is as High as thier patriotic zeal , But no doubt " Moral of those seeking to be DG DSS " might have been low because they thought the President can be stampeded into action. God has time for everything.

REBUTTAL | Late Elderly Female Worshipper Did Not Die at MFM Prayer City, Says Church Dateline: Lagos, November 16, 2023 The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry (MFM) has debunked media reports that an elderly female worshipper, name not known, had slumped and died during a programme at the Prayer City, a religious arena owned by the church. Speaking in a statement, Brother Collins Edomaruse, media aide to the General Overseer (worldwide) of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr. Daniel Olukoya, said contrary to media reports, the deceased actually died at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu, Ogun State. Edomaruse explained that, the deceased, who was at the Prayer City for Service on the said day, November 2, 2023 (not for a residential programme like 'deliverance'), came in looking feeble. She was then rushed from the service to the Clinic within the church premises, then to OOUTH, Sagamu. The case was, however, reported at the Ibafo Police station the following morning. The OOUTH, after the woman's death, acknowledged that the Church was a public place and commended the MFM for "it has shown enough duty of care by rushing the sick person to the hospital. But some sections of the media had falsely reported that the woman had collapsed and died in the church." In her account, the matron at the Prayer City Clinic, Mrs Bisi Adewumi, said the deceased was "brought in to the clinic on the 2nd of November 2023, around 5.30pm as an emergency case from the auditorium during Thursday evening service. "On physical observation inside an ambulance, we recorded pallor+++...that she was pale (short of blood). "She looked cachexic and emaciated, hence blood pressure was quickly checked inside the ambulance; result: B/P71/55 P115, Temp 36.oc, because of the pallor+++ that requires immediate blood. "The ambulance driver and a nurse were instructed to rush her to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, where urgent intervention and investigations could be carried out. "The report received from the nurse at the teaching hospital indicated that the deceased was attended to in the ambulance as an emergency for preliminary investigations. "She later gave up there and her remains were deposited at the morgue of Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital. The Prayer City is located at KM 12, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State. Edomaruse added: "It should be noted that the MFM Camp is a place frequented by God worshippers and seekers from all over the world. "The ministry may not be able to ascertain the medical situation of everyone that desires to seek God's face within its facility. "It however provides a first aid duty of care to anyone who needs medical attention within its premises. "One can conclude that's it's simply a case of Ignorance and misrepresentation of facts to claim that the unfortunate demise of a worshipper at a teaching hospital was caused by the ministry in any way. "The Church provides a covenant platform of divine encounter and teaches the worshippers how to connect with the God of the Bible. This has provided tremendous testimonies over the years."

A young beautiful girl who grew up to be very well behaved that at the age of eight years she left her parents in Okemesi for Ilawe Ekiti on foot to go stay with her elder sister, Madam Otoola Osuntokun, the matriarch of the Osuntokun family from where we have the first CMD of UCH Professor Benjamin Osuntokun and former Ambassador of Nigeria to Germany, Professor Akinjide Osuntokun to mention but a few. She stayed at Ilawe Ekiti for years and grew to become a very beautiful lady, the toast of many young men of that time but only one photographer caught her fancy, Adeoti who would later ask for her hand in marriage. As it was a custom then and being a virtuous lady who believed that a wife is meant to be a support system for her husband. So, she traveled back to Okemesi in order to work for a while so as to acquire enough to be able to stand on her feet and not become a liability to any man. She eventually married Samuel Adeoti Odedeji in 1950. Tragedy struck. The young wife, fondly called Bia, began to give birth and lose the children. She gave birth to twin children and lost them, losing nine children in total, the most painful was Soji, who she lost the same period I was born leaving her with only Aduke and Sola, two daughters who stood with her through thick and thin. My grandmother lived a very devoted life to God and her children. She loved the Lord with all her heart till she died. She equally loved people of God and she was a very virtuous woman.
