Sterling Bank adopts biodegradable bags use nationwide As the world marks the International Coastal Clean Up this month, Sterling Bank PLC, Nigeria's leading commercial bank, has announced that it is working towards going completely green in its banking processes and has adopted the use of biodegradable bags across its network of branches nationwide. This, according to the statement made available by the Bank, is in a bid to address the increasing environmental menace of plastic waste at both land and coastal areas, a further demonstration of Bank's leading role in the emergence of a Green Nigeria. The initiative, implemented with the support of Bonniebio Nigeria Limited, a plastic biodegradable advisory firm with international affiliations, is aimed at turning Sterling Bank into the foremost financial institution pioneering the preservation of the environment by promoting the use of biodegradable bags under the Sustainable Banking Principles of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Mr. Abubakar Suleiman, according to the statement made available in Lagos, said Sterling Bank will adopt biodegradable bags usage in all its locations going forward. He added that the Bank had developed action steps and guidelines on eventual disposal and management of waste across all its locations. “We have adopted the biodegradable waste policy in our Head Office and will replicate same in all our branches, facilitate the adoption and supply of biodegradable bags to branches as well as donation of same to organic food retailers and supermarkets,” he said. Suleiman added that, “Sterling Bank will, by this initiative, be contributing towards a worthy cause as it would ensure the reduction of plastic waste and create a future wherein nature and its resources are equally accessible to all Nigerians.” He said the Bank would champion the use of biodegradable materials that can decompose between 3 to 12 months and eliminate the use of plastic (polyethene) bags which scientists say can take as much as 500 to 1,000 years to decompose on landfills. Green banking has gained popularity all over the world in recent years as many financial institutions are actively looking for areas of their banking processes that can be exploited and carried out with the lowest negative impact to the environment. In Nigeria, Sterling Bank has played a leading role in promoting the efficient disposal of waste over the years. In 2018, the Bank partnered with Nigeria’s first electronic waste (e-waste) recycling firm, E-Terra Technologies, to promote efficient and irreversible destruction of electronic waste in line with its sustainable banking initiatives. It also collaborated with the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), Green Hub Africa and other partners to mark the World Clean-Up Day in Lagos and participated actively in the cleaning of a beach front and drainages across the state, among others. Also, Sterling Bank Plc was recognised by Wecyclers Nigeria Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading waste recycling firm, for its commitment to the sustainable implementation of the Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principles (NSBPs) through its Sterling Environmental Makeover (STEM) programme and the recycling of waste materials at its head office and branches in Lagos. Across the country, the Bank has partnered with over 26 state government’s waste management authorities including the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) for over a decade to ensure proper management of waste in Africa’s largest economy.

Coronavirus: Abiodun Oshinibosi's HypeKing and the Road to Recovery At the forefront of far-reaching advocacy efforts to create awareness about the deadly novel strain of coronavirus, COVID-19 in Lagos, Nigeria was Nigeria’s leading experiential marketing agency, Abelinis Limited. The now-dreaded coronavirus took the world by surprise bringing health facilities, business and social activities to their knees and Nigeria could not have been spared. When the pandemic hit the shores of Lagos, Nigeria on February 28th, 2020, not many could envisage how it would spread like wildfire and the chaos that would follow. The Lagos state government had on March 30, 2020 commenced a total lockdown of the state in line with the directives of the Federal government, enforcing several rules and regulations –many of which were alien to the masses- including the closure of schools, churches, and certain businesses; the compulsory use of face masks and social distancing. Led by the energetic Abiodun Richard Oshinibosi, the Abelinis team in its usual fashion took the mantle of leadership to support the Lagos state and federal government in the fight against COVID-19 by spearheading a leading advocacy outreach, HypeKing to all corners of the state. The Hypeking Advocacy on COVID-19 kicked off June 17, 2020 with a strategic focus on the grassroots via rural clusters direct engagement approach to educate residents of rural and semi urban areas about the importance of staying at home, using hand sanitisers and wearing face masks alongside facts about COVID-19. The team moved in pairs, daily going into clusters to share timely reports and messages about the pandemic as it affects Nigeria. This advocacy and enlightenment drive to curb the spread of COVID-19 captured all the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos state. From Ifako-Ijaiye local government area to Alimosho, Agege, Oshodi-Isolo, Mushin, Surulere and Lagos Island amongst others, the goal was simple- to amplify and aid government’s effort to curb the spread of COVID-19 through direct engagement by advocating for the government and through a partnership with the local government and state government. Abelinis Limited deployed initiatives like structured visits to communities and one-to-one meetings with the heads of the communities to encourage community-led public statements to pledge support for government’s efforts targeted at combating the pandemic. The team engaged leaders at the grassroots in a bid to ensure that the message reached its target audience. The brilliance of this strategy was reflected in the improved adherence to COVID-19 rules and regulation after engagement with individuals like Hon. Babatunde Adekanmbi, Health Supervisor, Ifako-Ijaiye Secretariat; Balogun Omotayo, Ganiyat Omolola and Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu, Abattoir meat market leaders; Sulaimon Ogunsheye, Secretary to Baale Ikola-Ogunsheye community; Mrs. Adeyinka Titilayo Secretary to His Royal Majesty Oba Waabi Ayinde Balogun of Isheri-Olofin; Alhaji Auwal Mammud, Head of Hausa community Shiaba street; Alhaja Monsurat Ajayi Adeyemi, Iyaloja, Agege main market; Alhaji Musa Abudullahi, Deputy of Nupe community, Agege; High Chief Tajudeen Akanbi Adebari, Baale of Iloro; Alhaji Mustafa Sanni, Head of Hausa community; Moricas Afolabi Abiodun & Kayode Adesiyan, Secretary Darosha market; Hon. Gbenga Adedeji, Councillor Wasimi Maryland; Aliu Rasak Akerele, Baba-Oja Onigbongbo Market; Hon. Gbenga Sogunle, Councillor Abule-Onigbagbo; His Highness Alhaji Chief Nojimudeen Lamidi Aro, Abore 1 Baale of Ojodu Land; Alhaji High Chief AbdulRafiu Babalola Ajisegiri, Baale of Sogunle; Mr. Olufemi Ojo Secretary, Idera market(mafoluku); Hon. Usman Hamed, Supervisor for Health Iba LCDA Secretariat; Hon. Mrs Edna Uche-Ubochi, Supervisor for Health, Ojo LG Secretariat; Hon. Oyewole Kolawole, Supervisor for Health, Surulere Secretariat; Alhaja Iyabode Amisu, Iyaloja Tejuosho Market and Hon. Kunle Williams, Deputy Leader, Lagos Island to mention a few alongside health workers. By working with community leaders, Abelinis in its routine detailed approach, was able to ensure that the message was properly conveyed in a language and context understood by residents of each local government area and local communities visited. This no doubt, further helped to stem the tide of misinformation that had greeted the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria. The Abelinis Limited dedicated team to HypeKing Advocacy on COVID-19 understood the dynamics of the challenges that come with public health concerns like COVID-19, and hence adopted a three pronged approach in executing its corporate social responsibility as expected of reputable organisations. The advantage of working with rural clusters was that it made it far easier to educate the most vulnerable group- rural and semi urban areas about the importance of staying at home, the use of hand sanitiser, face mask and facts about COVID-19. By daily going into clusters to share up-to-date messages about the virus in Nigeria and working with stakeholders, notably the Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC) state and local government, the team was also able to guarantee the authenticity of information shared and the integrity of the project as a whole. This was a quest to support the masses in adapting to the new way of life and aid adherence towards all necessary precautions and guidelines against the coronavirus by providing knowledge of causes and prevention of the virus. Although regular washing of hands is a key safety precaution to keep the corona-virus at bay, most people forget to wash their hands as often as necessary, perhaps because of a hectic lifestyle. The team focused on the emphasis of hand washing as basic hygiene practice critical to well-being. This improved by a wide margin the number of Lagosians who correctly washed their hands consistently and as expected, the numbers of confirmed cases in Lagos state are fast declining. The message was simple, hand washing is a habit that has come to remain in people’s lives. Working with health workers and supervisors for Health of all Local Government Areas helped to minimise conspiracy theories and address misinformation which would have undermined responses to the outbreak. Due to culturally ingrained habits, getting people to understand the importance of social distancing and avoiding handshakes during the pandemic seemed impossible but by working with the Baales Iyaloja, Babalojas and other market leaders, helped both sellers and buyers in the markets and communities across the state to follow all regulations set by the federal and state government in curbing the spread of COVID-19 spread. The HypeKing Advocacy on COVID-19 which was carried out in two phases spanned April-July. The second phase ran through June 17th 2020 – July 13th 2020. The project ultimately set the gold standard for health related grassroots advocacy targeted at ensuring the public throws its full weight behind government in combating a public health concern like COVID-19. This is no surprise as Abelinis Limited has a rich history of combining expertise, precision and discipline to achieve desired results. The reach and impact of this project would be even more pronounced and can be multiplied if private individuals, organisation, and federal and state governments pitch in and adopt the Rural Cluster HypeKing initiative as a national project. Nigeria has so far recorded one of the lowest number of COVID-19 infections and deaths, going by available global data and this was in large measures due to the increased awareness about COVID-19 and adherence to preventive rules regulations put in place by the government at the grassroots. This would not have been possible without an advocacy programme like HypeKing Advocacy on COVID-19 awareness. Its focus on reaching out to the grassroots to educate the populace about the pandemic was critical to winning the war against COVID-19. The studio is a brain child of Abelinis Limited and Ipanache led by Adedeji Orunkoyi. A show of collaboration much needed at a time like this. The studio name is Hibridstudio

EDO STATE IS A TEMPLATE FOR ELECTORAL FREEDOM - Barr Moses Oruaze Dickson Barrister Moses Oruaze Dickson has added to the numerous voices championing the “#EdoNoBeLagos, SouthSouthNoBeLagos” movement calling on Edo people not to allow personalization of lagos by external forces. In his tweet earlier this morning he narrates the sad experiences his state went through during the 2019 Governorship election that led not only to oppression of the people, violence and high tech electoral fraud but loss of lives of his fellow brothers, sisters and kinsmen by agents of APC led by Adams Oshomole. In a recent post on Twitter, the young successful Lawyer and Philanthropist tweeted “ I am waiting to see if Oshomole can do in his own state Edo what he did in Bayelsa. The will of a people is always GREATER than that of a MAN. Nemesis for the unforgiving and power drunk heart is close. Power comes from God alone”

How Apostle Omotosho Predicted Obaseki's Victory in 2019 When God speaks the wise listens! One of the prophetic messages reeled out in 2019 by Apostle Omotosho Tope Joseph has been fulfilled again. He was one of the few voices who accurately predicted the reinstatement of Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki. While dishing out over 70 prophesies for 2019, he claimed that Obaseki will be reinstated as the Governor because he foresee the restoration of his mandate "...being reinstated as the governor because I had forseen the restoration of his mandate" Also, while reeling out prophesies for 2020 he was specific that: There is no candidate that can defeat Obaseki, the governor is God’s project for Edo state. Read here: https://www.google.com/amp/s/saharaweeklyng.com/apostle-omotosho-releases-shocking-57-prophecies-for-2020/amp/ And as declared, despite all the machinations against him, he was declared winner of the Edo Election conducted yesterday. His victory proved alot of pundits wrong as he was restored. It could be recalled that over the years, he has given lot of prophecies which bothers on the state of the nation, Nigerian politics, Foreign politics and all sectors of the economy.

Sultan of Sokoto Hosts Festus Keyamo The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Festus Keyamo SAN was yesterday, a guest of honour at the ancient palace of the Emir of Sokoto, His Eminence, Mohammad Sa'ad Abubakar 111 during his official visit to the State where the Emir officially presented to him, a signed copy of his book, The 20th Sultan of Sokoto. The honourable Minister is in Sokoto for the disbursement of micro loans under the NDE Micro Enterprise Enhancement Scheme (MEES), a federal government project designed to give life to the commoners. The Senior Advocate of Nigeria who has been a long standing bosom friend of the first class royal father arrived the Emir's palace at 10.52am where he had a private session with His Eminence, Mohammad Sa'ad Abubakar 111 before he was later treated to a private dinner by the high profile monarch. The Minister who's in company of the Director General of the National Directorate of Employment- NDE, Dr. Nasir Ladan Argungu began his day with a visit to the U.K Jarma Academy, an orphanage home where he made a promise to support their vocational and technical education with more useful tools. Keyamo and his entourage would later visit the Emir's palace before embarking on his official duty of disbursements of micro loans under the NDE Micro Enterprise Enhancement Scheme (MEES), a programme that had about 2,400 Sokoto women and youths as beneficiaries. The succesful programme was an all-comer affair with the executive governor of Sokoto State, Rt.Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal ,cfr (Mutawalen Sokoto), his full cabinet-entourage and other illustrious dignitaries like the Police Affairs Minister, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi among others in attendance. Like they say, the most beautiful discovery true friends make, is that, they can grow separately without growing apart. Being an old friend and confidant who have had best of times together in the past whilst on different career ladder, the Minister and His Eminence would later connect again in the evening for a private dinner where they both dropped all trappings of officialdom to merry and chats endlessly till midnight amidst sumptuous meals, and drinks in a convivial environment. The moments were quite nostalgic for the duo of career iconoclasts.

MAUREEN BADEJO IS NOT WORTHY TO SPEAK ABOUT THE CORRIDOR The corridor as it sounds is just a term to describe the place that people sit to wait for their turn to see the General overseer of the mountain of fire and Miracles ministries, DR DK OLUKOYA and I happened to be a beneficiary of the work of that place, described as the spiritual clinic by those that have experienced the raw power of God on display in this almost 200 square meters of open space. This is just an office space, as a matter of fact a place that can be described as the GO’s office , counselling room , situation room , or a place of intercession. It’s a place where you get a closer look and witness the power of GOD move through the general overseer as he reaches out to those possessed, oppressed, depressed, confused, mentally ill, insane, sick , handicapped and so on , a place where you will meet people from all works of life, seated with prayer points praying and waiting for their turns to see the Doctor, either for financial aid , church activity approvals , spiritual problems , church matters , charity work and all sort of activities , this is a place that I can say traffics over 1000 people daily, trooping in and out for one issue or the other . In this environment, people display different kinds of manifestations, from vomiting different kind of creatures, rolling on the floor like serpents, tearing off their clothes, becoming violent, speaking in strange languages, behaving like wild beast, shrieking out loud, voices speaking through people , and lot more . There was once a case of a man, who was under the influence of the Holy Ghost fire, immediately the General Overseer started praying, he tore open his trousers to reveal his manhood that has a serpent fork tongue, this is a place where the power of God is always and fully demonstrated and this of course happens when the fire of God move into the midst through the man of God Dr D.k Olukoya. These scenarios on the other hand are not recorded to be televised like some ministries do, but are phone recorded to show to those whom have put up these displays unconsciously or subconsciously for them to see the handiwork of God and how deeply rooted they are to the powers that have taken them captive. So I was really disturbed having been a witness to the raw power of God in this same corridor, watching this daughter of the son of perdition, Maurine Badejo from the marine kingdom, speak ill on social media of the wonder working power of GOD that goes on in the corridor as it is fondly called, mind you it’s just an office where people wait. This daughter of jezebel was talking about women being fingered and ladies virginals been wiped with handkerchief at the corridor, haaa, madam destroyer , from what part of hell did that kind of thought come from ? But how? When? And how can it happen? Impossibility cannot even describe the word because I would like to ask this Marine possessed lady a few questions 1, Is there a secret room where these activities go on, or are we talking about same open corridor were tons of people move in and out and have over 15 clergy personnel’s taking care of activities? 2, Do these false allegations take place in the open or behind some closed doors that doesn’t exist? 3, Can Marine Maurine give us proof or provide videos or evidence of all she has been saying about the corridor? A lot of us are typically aware of her paid callers, but at least can she get one person to come out and say that these things have happened to him or her? 4 Are there any reasons whatsoever this woman is after the house of God with such venom from the abyss, with cake baked lies that she is serving to people who know not the true path? You see Marine Maurine has been touching different ministries but the devil just pushed her into fire and I know for sure that the fire of God of the mountain of fire will consume her in a short time, shedrach Meshach and Abednego seemed like criminals when they were escorted into the fiery furnace, but little did those that threw them into the fire realise that the fire will come out and select them for consumption,. I feel for her social media followers who fulfil her money chasing desires through followership on social media. She will indeed fill you with stories that will derail your faith your person and your position, she seem convincing by using emotions and fictions to speak to people , but the truth will always suffice be guided brethren. HOW THE SCOAN BUILDING WAS DESTROYED!!! | Shocking Media Report (SABC) In this exclusive footage from SABC, the national broadcaster of South Africa, an interview was conducted with scientist and weapons expert Paul Iguniwei, who revealed shocking details about the advanced infrasonic weapons he concluded were used to attack and destroy the building at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria on September 12th 2014... Approved and published by the International Journal of Scientific Engineering and Research (IJSER), his groundbreaking research provides clear evidence that structural failure was not behind the building's collapse and highlights the role of the strange plane which encircled the building four times before its sudden implosion. Also included in the report is the reaction from Mr Derrick Garvie, a South African architect with 50 years of experience, who stated that based on his experience, the structure fell as a result of some form of 'controlled demolition'. MESSI TAKES TB JOSHUA’S ADVICE, DECIDES TO STAY IN BARCELONA Two days after Nigerian Prophet TB Joshua’s “candid advice” to Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi to reconsider his move from Barcelona, the Argentinian has remarkably reversed his decision and agreed to stay at the Catalan club for an extra year. Joshua had taken to social media on Wednesday 2nd September 2020 to advise Messi on the dangers of leaving Barcelona with bitterness. “It is not good advice for Lionel Messi to leave Barcelona bitter and offended,” the cleric began. “It is impossible to establish a healthy relationship with a person who left a previous relationship bitter and offended. This is my candid advice to Messi. History is our boss.” When Joshua’s message was released, all indications still suggested Messi’s imminent exit with details of a huge deal lined up with Manchester City already being circulated online. Before a meeting with Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu, Messi’s father Jorge had unequivocally stated, “My son is not staying at Barcelona!” However, the day after Joshua’s advice, Jorge curtly told Spanish media that his son was reconsidering his move and there was a possibility of him staying. Messi, the most successful player in the club’s history and regarded by many as the world’s best footballer, submitted his intentions to leave the club after a lackluster season at Barcelona and an alleged fallout with the hierarchy. Then on Friday 4th September 2020, Messi himself granted an exclusive interview to Goal.com where he admitted he had been planning to leave Barcelona throughout the year but decided to rescind his decision as he “didn’t want to fight against the club.” "I'm now staying because the president told me that the only way I could leave was by paying the €700m release clause, which is impossible,” he explained. When asked whether he planned on taking the club to court, Messi responded, "I'd never take Barca to trial because it's the club I love and that's given me everything since I joined.” His announcement lays to rest an intense transfer saga which captured the attention of the world, considering the fact most people believed he would end his career at Barcelona. He is now expected to join training sessions under new boss Ronald Koeman in preparation for the incoming season.

Nigeria @60: Saraki, Fayemi, Dapo Abiodun Throw Weight Behind Compendium On Foremost Nigerians Amiable former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, and Governors Kayode Fayemi and Dapo Abiodun of Ekiti and Ogun States respectively have thrown their weight behind the trans-generational compendium to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Nigeria. The book, entitled Nigeria @60: Foremost Nigerians of the Last 60years; is written by former Society Editor of Thisday, Lanre Alfred. It will hit bookshelves across the nation and beyond in the first week of October. In his Prologue entitled‘Enriching the History of a Giant’, Senator Saraki espouses Nigeria’s greatness which he agrees had been tested in several ways. “This book “Nigeria @60: Foremost Nigerians in the Last 60 Years” by Lanre Alfred, a journalist with many years experience, is definitely going to add fresh pages to the body of literature and biographical work on this great country. “As someone who loves reading biographies, the author’s decision to tell the Nigerian story through the account of the contributions and achievements of selected citizens remains interesting and another attraction for me. “This unique attempt at recounting our national history also seeks to put on display the roles of the selected players in national development over the years. It also presents a challenge for those key players, who are alive to strive to improve on their roles while also giving the rest of the citizenry the opportunity to honestly and genuinely assess the account and the roles it ascribes to these individuals.” Interestingly, Saraki adds that Nigeria has been the country whose huge resources and dynamic, resourceful, creative, ebullient and hard-working people represent the hope of the black man to stand on an even dais with the most developed part of the world. “She is the country that has carried the burden of the rest of Africa during difficult times as she did during the period of the apartheid system in South Africa and the liberation struggles in other parts of Southern Africa,” he states. Saraki adds that though Nigeria might not have fully fulfilled the aspirations of her citizens and the rest of the world, she has continued to play a major role in stabilizing her region and the continent at large. Thus, he says he welcomes any attempt to give a good account of Nigeria’s existence as an independent country in the last six decades. The former two-term governor of Kwara State concludes that Nigeria will overcome her challenges and fulfil her manifest destiny because there are several ways of leading Nigeria out of the woods; “One way is the one Lanre Alfred has taken with this book; celebrating the nation’s birthday through a revisit of the role of some of the key players.” In the Foreword,Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the Ekiti State governor, writes that Nigeria is an amazing story and an evolving power whose destiny is far beyond the convulsive spasm that often diminishes the narrative of her undeniable glory. “This lesson is what has attracted the intellectual lens of Lanre Alfred in this insightful book. He takes us through an undulating labyrinth of the Nigerian story and points our attention to the mesh of our socio-cultural plurality, which ultimately makes ours a complex political experiment. “He depicts the nation’s foundational challenge as that of a sailing mission without a rudder and a flying expedition without a compass. For it was clear that, at independence, there was no consensus around vision, purpose and strategy for the actualisation of the nation’s dream.” Like Saraki, Governor Fayemi concurs that the irony of the Nigeria story is that while her inadequacies are apparent to all, her progress is difficult to ignore either. “And this is the reality, which many critics and commentators have failed to factor into their evaluation of the nation’s trajectory. One of the ways to appreciate this progress might be to focus on the contribution of many compatriots, who have invested their God-given talent and creativity for the progress of the nation in the different segments of our national life,” he says. Governor Fayemi says he is satisfied with Alfred’s optimistic approach to the appreciation of Nigeria because, “He has elected to gauge our progress in terms of verifiable and invaluable contributions of some individuals, who have greatly impacted the nation and whose contributions to her development since independence, are of immense significance. “This approach is not only a commendable reward system; it is also an effective story-telling strategy that properly situates the nation’s milestones around the exploits of her heroes and heroines. To suggest that Nigeria has not made progress is to declare that the works of her heroes and heroines are in vain. It is to assume that, generally, nonentities had led the nation in politics, business, culture, religion and leadership!” He also commends the efforts that went into putting the book together, saying, “Alfred has launched his fecund mind into a fertile territory that many people would have ignored. It is another demonstration of his depth, prodigious intellect and mastery of the nation’s story as a social commentator and chronicler. He has taught us a new lesson that nation-building is a collective responsibility and that a nation’s prosperity is the aggregation of the industry and prosperity of her citizens.” In a correspondence with the author, Governor Abiodun of Ogun State lauded the ingenuity of the book while praising the writing proficiency of Alfred who he said has evolved as not just a reporter but a redoubtable historian. Abiodun stated that he would gladly recommend the book for reading across a broad spectrum of the society because “of its depth and richness and the fact that it makes for easy and compelling reading. He continued, “This book is a storehouse of information about the people that made and are making Nigeria great. History well told is beautiful. Many of the historians who most appeal to the general reading public know the importance of dramatic and skilful writing as well as of accuracy and this is where Alfred has excelled with this book.” However, the book is dedicated to Globacom chairman, Dr Mike Adenuga Jnr, as homage to his humanity and relentless strides at rewriting the African business narrative; for standing tall and wading through odds with the courage of a knight and confidence of a champion. Interestingly, in the midst of the doom and gloom, the pervasive fear of the Corona-Virus pandemic, and the flagging faith of Nigerians per their survival , the chairman of Globacom Limited, raised hopes and planted joy in the bosoms of Nigerians. His huge donations to the Federal Government of Nigeria and several state governments play a huge role in containing the ravaging virus. Alfred’s new book, which attempts to profile the trajectories of Nigeria’s heroes past and present, is the latest in a burgeoning corpus that includes the popular coffee table books; Titans…The Amazing Exploits of Nigeria’s Greatest Achievers; and Highlife – Lifestyles of Nigeria’s Rich and Famous; and biographies like Pacemaker – Triumphs of Igho Sanomi at 40; The Lion of Afia Nsit – Triumphs of Scott Tommey at 45; Julius Rone…The Jewel of the Delta; and Dapo Abiodun…The Heart of Prince.

POISONING OF RUSSIAN OPPOSITION LEADER ALEXEI NAVALNY FULFILS TB JOSHUA’S 2020 PROPHECY German scientists have obtained “unequivocal proof” that Alexei Navalny, Russia’s main opposition leader and one of President Vladimir Putin’s fiercest critics, was indeed poisoned. Navalny, 44, has been in a medically induced coma since August 20th 2020 after he fell suddenly ill on a flight back to Moscow from Siberia. He was subsequently airlifted to Germany for emergency treatment. “This is disturbing information about the attempted murder through poisoning against a leading Russian opposition figure,” German Chancellor Angela Merkel told a news conference, disclosing that traces of Novichok, a Soviet-era chemical weapon, was found in his system. While Russia is denying involvement in the attack, European Union officials are weighing up how to respond and the appropriate action to be taken against Russia. The poisoning of Navalny clearly coincides with the prophecy given by Nigerian Prophet TB Joshua on December 28th 2019 when he gave a message regarding the year 2020. “Russia should pray for their leader to avert his being on the sickbed,” Joshua said in his eighth prophecy for the year which he ‘prophetically’ termed ‘The Year Of Humility’. “Something will surface. There is a ladder to go up – if this is averted.” Navalny is well-known to be Putin’s biggest political rival with the Wall Street Journal describing him as “the man Vladimir Putin fears most”. He has been arrested on several occasions for his activist activities and gained international prominence for organising large demonstrations against corruption in Putin’s regime. Several other events of international relevance recently have correlated with Joshua’s 2020 prophecy, including the passing of US actor Chadwick Boseman and the resignation of Japanese President Shinzo Abe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wC4GpRwq9dg

Rape Allegations: Prophet Bushiri Sends Strong Message To Women The man in the eye of the storm, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has issued fresh statement on the alleged rape case against him. The popular clergy claimed he was a victim of victimization and blackmail who is ready to cooperate with the law but at the same time ready to expose his accusers FOLLOW UP STATEMENT ON THE RAPE ALLEGATIONS AGAINST MYSELF, PROPHET SHEPHERD BUSHIRI Sandton, Johannesburg: In the past few days I have seen allegations of the violation of women come up against me by women who claim to be my victims. I have observed the rage and the anger by women following these serious allegations. I subsequently issued a statement and address, confiding in the people and our church members about how I have been threatened with demands of money, where failure to oblige meant that I would be brought down through many means including allegations of this nature. We have kept the evidence of these threats which we reported to the law enforcement agencies such as IPID and SAPS in 2018 and 2019 respectively, case numbers are available should the need of affirmation arise. We are still, at this point, pursuing other legal remedies at our disposal among others- Harassment Act provisions. I would like to, therefore, send a strong message to all women out there that I take the allegations directed at me very seriously. I will subject myself to law enforcement agencies and I will cooperate with any form of investigation against me pertaining to the said allegations. I fully comprehend and most notably understand the gravity and depth of Gender Based Violence (GBV) and femicide in this country. I have watched how the headlines have been filled with women who get killed by men, raped by men, tortured and abused by men. I am very much aware of how the church and its leaders in general cannot be exonerated from the violation of women and children. It is for this reason that our church adopted a GBV policy a while back and of fundamental importance embedded and entrenched in the policy is to encourage victims to speak out. I have since and as contained in the aforesaid policy, put in place, strict and firm disciplinary procedures and code of ethics, as a consequence against pastors and our church leaders that are accused and are found guilty of violating women and children. In this vein, I would like to urge our church members and supporters to desist and refrain from issuing remarks and statements on social media that are against people who support alleged rape victims. I don’t want my name to be used or associated with anyone who insults, discourages or acts in a manner that speaks against anyone supporting the alleged victims. Further, I would also like to request our peaceful and justice-loving church members and supporters not to discourage or harass those who come out to raise allegations against me. I understand the pains of women and how they live in fear from being violated every day. Those who follow my teachings will surely attest to this. In my pursuit to seek justice for myself and to expose the extortion syndicate that has been demanding money from me and threatening me with rape allegations, if I don’t pay exorbitant amounts, I will not in any way seek to undermine the struggles of women and the harsh realities they are confronted with daily. It has been very difficult for me because am frustrated with wanting to expose the extortion syndicate while not presenting myself as insensitive to the serious scourge of GBV and the justified rage and anger of women in responding to such allegations. Lastly, I am a law-abiding citizen, I respect the law and law enforcement agencies. Notwithstanding the above, particularly extortion attempts against me, the law must take its course and I will cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies to ensure justice is served. It is my strongest belief that it is our duty, as men, to stand together and protect our women and girls. They are our wives, sisters, mothers, aunt, cousins and children. Let’s safeguard and protect their well-being. I reiterate: let’s stop violence against women and children. Lastly, I would like to reach out to you all that wish us well, please remember to keep praying for me and my family. Remember us daily as you seek the face of God. In all this, may His name be glorified, today and forevermore. God bless you! MRS. AKEREDOLU-PORTRAIT OF A PILLAR OF SUPPORT By Idowu Ajanaku Quote: ‘’ The tests we face in life’s journey are not to reveal our weaknesses but to help us discover our inner strengths’’ -Kemi Sogunle In branding principles and concepts, some words aptly describe the existential essence of a product, with regards to its compelling qualities of usefulness to mankind. This could be via its taste, flavour, nutrition (as with food items). Others include availability, affordability, accessibility and its enduring values to the public. As it is with prime products of top-range companies so it goes for the human persona. The critical question therefore, is what comes to the people’s mind once a name is mentioned, especially so if one is a public figure and commands frequent attention. That brings us to the rare breed in the person of Her Excellency, Mrs. Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu, incidentally the current First Lady of the ‘Sunshine State’, Ondo. Inspiring words such as “a passionate humanist”, “ care-giver”, “simple- at –heart”, “bridge-builder” and of course, “pillar of support” keep reverberating from the smiling lips of her teeming admirers-from both within and outside the political cycle. One cannot therefore, but wonder if these are mere attention-seeking accolades or they ring true for the person in question. Interestingly, abundant empirical evidences are there to support each of the descriptions of who she really is. Looking at her inspiring life trajectory the words of the Zimbabwean-born and Canada-based philosopher, entrepreneur and author, Matshona Dhiwayo come to mind. Said he: ‘’Beautiful souls are shaped by ugly experiences’’. Indeed so. For instance, she was diagnosed with breast cancer back in 1997. She went through all the anguish and rigours of treatment and happily she survived it all. For some other survivors like her, all they would do is to give testimonies and recoil to their shells, to live a quiet life. But not her! She saw it as an opportunity to be a solution-provider, to make the difference in the lives of others going through similar travails she had experienced. As Ana Antunes rightly noted: ‘’Life always gives a Second Chance: It is called: ‘To Move On’. So, to move on and feeling truly concerned about the critical health challenge, gave her the inspiration to start the non-profit organization, Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria (BRECAN). Note that this was long before fortune smiled on her to become the First Lady of Ondo state. The noble aim of the NGO of course, is to raise the needed public awareness of the deadly disease and institute the preventive measures amongst the womenfolk. In addition, it assists in cancer-related researches. It goes as a glowing tribute to her patriotic efforts therefore, that several women across the length and breadth of the country have given moving testimonies of how BRECAN came in to save their sad and sordid situations when it mattered most. One unforgettable instance was that of a middle-aged, Owo- born woman who goes by the name, Mrs. Elizabeth Akande. She was abandoned by her husband immediately he realized that she had fallen a victim of breast cancer! But the timely intervention of BRECAN through moral and financial support changed her story for good. As she rightly noted during the inauguration of BRECAN in Kogi state in August 2017: ‘’We want you to make breast cancer awareness and treatment a priority so that women will not continue dying needlessly’’. She highlighted the fact that it is cost intensive as mammographic machine is needed for early detection. And awareness is a necessity to prevent women who detect lumps in their breasts from considering it a spiritual attack and heading to the mountain for prayers, instead of taking timely action. As reflected in her thought-provoking lecture delivered as the 7th Distinguished Guest Lecturer at the University of Medical Services, UNIMED in Ondo state there is the increasing need for adoption of a population-based screening for breast cancer. The lecture was titled: ‘’A stitch in time saves lives; breast cancer realities in Nigeria and actionable steps’’. So profound her actions have proved that BRECAN has become a model for the frontal battle against breast cancer as supported by the United Nations Organization (UNO). Furthermore, as one who is always exhibiting the humanist in her, she was there for Ondo state home makers, especially widows distributing palliatives across the state during the lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic. In addition to the determined fight against breast cancer, she been consistent in her battle against rape, her contributions to Girl-Child education delivery and the welfare of the womenfolk. In fact, she is also a supporter of the Bring Back the Girls Initiative, NGO aimed at the safe return of the long-abducted Chibok girls. All these and more interventions must have earned her the prestigious Distinguished Community Award by the Oyo state Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) back in July, 2018. She is a true care giver, isn’t she? Of course, she is. But that is not all about her. As an intriguing act of immanent fate, Mrs. Akeredolu happens to be of Ibo extraction but married to a Yoruba man, who is both a renowned lawyer and politician. As expected this interesting social scenario must have raised some questions and sometimes untoward reactions that trail her every talk and walk. ‘’We know the husband is always dancing to her tunes’’, some would have said. Or, ‘’is she not an outsider? Does she really know where the shoe pinches us?’’ Some others must have nursed their grudges. But they have missed the point of the inner workings of Mrs. Akeredolu. As those close to her would readily admit she is an open-minded woman. Yes, she has the apparatchiks and goodies that her exalted office guarantees but good enough she has not lost the common touch. Instead, she knows, like Lailah Akita once stated that ‘’the victory of our inner self is a daily struggle and one must be strong and never give up’’. Indeed, she has been able to use all such bricks thrown at her to build a strong bridge of trust with her several admirers who are Yorubas. And naturally with her Ibo people and the Niger-Deltans, many of who ply their trades in Akure, Ore, Ikare and other parts of Ondo state. Such bond she has deployed to garner the much-needed political support for the Aketi Project in Ondo state. As it was during the First Term, even stronger it is currently playing out for her husband’s Second Term ambition. The effect is that what some of the opponents of the governor thought would be his high hurdles, the unflinching support of his wife has turned into his launch pad to greater political heights. Besides, because of the simple, down-to-earth nature she exudes, she is amassing support even from the owners of small and medium scale enterprises, artisans and of course, the market women led by the Iyalojas. For instance, in July of this year the representatives of the Iyalogas of the APC drawn from the 18 LGAs gathered at the Babafunke Ajasin Hall of the Ministry of Women Affairs to pledge their unflinching resolve; to see the governor back to Government House for his Second Term. They used the opportunity to appreciate the governor for his administration’s giant strides in various sectors-from health, education, agriculture through massive infrastructural development across the state. Similarly, they commended his wife for her laudable initiatives, including the battle against breast cancer and OndoWidows Care. And on her part, she pledged to do more for them. ‘’You Iyalojas deserve every support and assistance…and I am available, with more, underway’’. Going by all the noble values she stands for and her life’s varied experiences she remains as an enduring inspiration to men and women alike. There is much to learn and emulate from her desire to gain access to quality healthcare delivery, including support for victims of breast cancer, as well as her fight for gender equality when it comes to education and politico-economic empowerment. Indeed, her massive grassroots support and more so, her pan-Nigerian disposition added to her husband’s outstanding achievements are sure guarantee that Governor Akeredolu’s Second Term ambition is a done deal. In fact, he is going to coast to landslide victory. As Eric Bates, the editor at large of ‘The New Republic’ succinctly noted: ‘’There are no negatives in life, only challenges to overcome that will make you stronger’’

Warning to Celestial Church Members: Does Your Dancing Glorify God? -Kayode Alfred The subject of dancing is one that elicits varied opinions all around the world. While a school of thought believes it comes with therapeutic benefits; and another believes it is spiritual and biblical; there are various extremist Christian groups which believe dancing is inherently sinful and should be proscribed in general or during religious services. For the purpose of this intervention, the seductive instrument that dancing is fast becoming or has become in Celestial Church of Christ vis-à-vis its spiritual significance is the central focus of this piece. It is not clear when dancing became an activity for humans. But from the early records of civilization dancing, at one point or the other, dancing was an act used for mate selection, the invocation of fetish spirits, initiation to secret societies, and worship of pagan gods – it was either ceremonial or ritualistic. And as civilization progressed it morphed into an activity for social functions, a form of mere entertainment, displayed especially in night clubs. We all know clubhouses to be a centre for extreme profanities, a space that does not agree with our Christian beliefs. However, in recent times, some of these dance steps displayed in clubs have been surfacing during worship, in our churches. And the question now is: why are we bringing the unholy to the house of holiness? The word dance or dancing, in all its forms, appears multiple times in the Bible. And they are two interpretations to it. The first could be translated to mean jumping up and down in (un)controlled excitement depicting joy. The second could be translated to mean indecent bodily movement, which was always condemned in passages where it appeared. Primarily, dancing, especially for women, is to some degree, a seductive expression of body movements. It was why the women of old used it to seduce fetish spirits they sought favour from, or, as was the case in mate selection, to seduce and attract a potential partner. Therefore, the act of dancing can induce lust and lead to fornication or other sinful acts. A biblical account lucidly explains how dancing led to an atrocious act by the great King of Galilee, Herod and Herodias’s daughter. In Mark 6:21-22, Apostle Mark wrote, “Then an opportune day came when Herod on his birthday gave a feast for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee. And when Herodias’ daughter herself came in and danced, and pleased Herod and those who sat with him, the king said to the girl, ‘Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.’” Salome, encouraged by her mother Herodias, asked for the head of John the Baptist. And King Herod, under the seductive spell incited by Salome’s dance moves, consented. He slew the man of God and served John the Baptist’s head to Salome. This is an example of how extreme the power of sensual dancing can be, and the damage it can bring. Under the influence of its seduction we can go to extremes and commit acts we should not involve with, as Christians. It is why we shouldn’t bring this ungodly movement of body parts into our places of worship. In early July 2019, a video of a young member of the Celestial Church of Christ went viral on the internet. In this video, the young man was doing a dance redolent of masturbation, a dance that was popularised by a Nigerian musician Naira Marley. This dance we all know as Soapy. And this young man, with his palm folded into a fist in front of his crotch, moved to our Christian praises with his immoral dance step, rocking the folded fist back and forth to mimic stroking. At that time, the video sparked a lot of controversies, of how young Christians are letting pop culture slide into our religion, of how these young Christians, with their sensual dances, are desecrating God’s holy ground, of how they are painting the church in a bad light. This young man could feign ignorance and say he didn’t know the implications of his actions. And that is why it’s important we have this conversation. The question I’ll ask is this: When you move your body in a way suggestive of sexual activity, what image would you be putting in the minds of people around you? If you answered honestly, you’ll agree that you have, at that moment, planted unclean thoughts in their heads. In short, you have led them to sin. For fear of sounding judgemental, can you beat your chest, come clean and say you are not as guilty as those whom you have led astray in their innermost thoughts even if they did not physically manifest the lechery in their head? Also, about a month before the Soapy dancer’s video, another video of a Celestial member had gone viral too. And in this one, a young woman was dancing in front of seated elders of the church. She twisted her waist and moved her backside to the rhythm of the drumbeat in the background. It’s a dance popular among ungodly women known as ‘twerking’ – a dance that has no place in the church of God. This video made outsiders say all sort of things against our church. Many who do not understand our values began to condemn us because of the act of this young lady, saying our church has become a clubhouse. Is this the image we want to project? Anyway, these are the ones that went viral because they crept into the internet, but how about the ones that didn’t? Dancing is an activity of the body, requiring the movement of the shoulders, waists, and feet, a movement that can become sexually suggestive depending on how you move. In our churches, it’s been noticed that most of our ladies, while dancing, end up shaking their behinds in worship, even their breasts too, which can prove provocative for the men around them. Sandra Humphrey, author of What Do You Communicate, said, “No healthy man will deny that it is sexually arousing to watch a girl swing her hips and breasts suggestively to music.” It’s a biological reaction and the best way to surmount any lustful temptations is to flee. We can’t pretend the sway of hips and twist of waist women do in church is not sexually suggestive or not dropping lascivious ideas in people’s minds. For example, if you were one of those elders seated before the twerking lady, what thoughts do you think would creep into your mind? Even if by the grace of God, you avert the temptation and chose to not act on it, it doesn’t negate the fact that a lewd thought was established. In Matthew 5:28 Jesus said, “But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” And if your sensual dancing was responsible for men lusting after you in church, won’t you be guilt-ridden at the fall of those men? Many may say they only danced to glorify God and not to tempt the opposite sex. But the question I’ll ask is when this suggestive movement of the body is corrupting the hearts of the opposite sex in church, does the dance glorify God? In his letter to the Philippians, Paul wrote, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things.” (Philippians 4: ![]() Take note of “whatever things are pure”. Now, if your dancing was pure would it plant impure thoughts in others? Remember that anything that is of the Lord is pure. And if the endpoint of dancing leads to impurity, then it is safe to say that dancing is not of the Lord. And we should desist from it. As committed members of the Celestial Church of Christ, we should always look back to our foundation to be sure we are not breaking away from our roots. The first primary mission set by our founder, Reverend Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa, is: “To worship God Almighty in holiness and reverence.” Dancing provocatively in the church is in opposition to this mission. It may feel innocent to indulge. And one could say they are only dancing to the glory of God, in praise and adoration, as King David in the bible danced with reckless abandon. But remember that David was a bad dancer, so his dancing was putting his image, if caught by another eye, at the risk of embarrassment. He had something to lose. And his poor dancing skill, instead of pulling or drawing the eyes seductively, instigated mockery. Michal, daughter of Saul, even condemned David for his dancing: “But as the Ark of the Lord entered the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looked down from her window. When she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, she was filled with contempt for him. … When David returned home to bless his own family, Michal, the daughter of Saul, came out to meet him. She said in disgust, ‘How distinguished the king of Israel looked today, shamelessly exposing himself to the servant girls like any vulgar person might do!’” (2 Samuel 6:16, 20) But David retorted, saying he was willing to look more foolish than he did, even to the point of humiliation, in celebration for what God has done for him. The things to pick out of this are: David danced out of excitement and he lost control. David knew he was a bad dancer, so him dancing before those people was a thing of embarrassment for his image, which could make some people lose respect for him. And we all know how important people’s respect is for a king. And David also knew but was putting his self-respect at stake. So, when you chose to reference David as an example when you’re dancing recklessly, ask yourself: What do you have to lose? What is the personal/important thing you are putting at stake? Some of us do it because we feel it is the way of the world now, and we’re evolving alongside. But remember what John wrote, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” (1 John 2:15-17) The lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes: We can tell where these two forms of lust can happen at once: dancing. And as children of God, we shouldn’t corrupt our morality with the ways of the world. We shouldn’t let the want of the flesh to lead us to sin. The Bible was always particular about the dangers of sexual immorality and promiscuity. Whether we chose to admit it or not, dancing is sexual. It is an erotic stimulant. Dancing breeds lust. And with lust leading sexual advances will follow. And if the spirit is weak, church members can fall into the sin of fornication or adultery. In the book of Galatians 5:19-21, Paul wrote, “Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, … and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” The word we’ll pick out here is sensuality, also referred to as lasciviousness in other translations. Its root meaning is: moving the body in a way that arouses sexual desire. And if we should compress that definition into a modern-day word, wouldn’t that be dance? You can see that the dancing, in itself, can deprive one of inheriting God’s kingdom. There are many ways through which we can glorify God without having to put up seductive dancing shows that make our Christian virtues questioned; many honourable ways through which we can express our joy and gratitude for Him. Yes, God has turned our mourning into dancing but the dance does not have to project those trending carnal dances. God sees our hearts. He knows if we are deeply thankful. He knows if we are truly worshipping. Shaking your body in a way that could lead others to sin is not necessary at all. Singing praises to His name is worship enough. Giving offerings and tithe is enough to show gratitude. We should abstain from this act that may lead us to eternal damnation and focus on worshipping God the right way, the way our founding father followed.

Joshua Iginla Spits Fire On CAMA, Describes Law as Coup Against Christianity ( video) The General Overseer of Champions Royal Assembly, Brother Joshua Iginla has reacted to the Company Acts And Allied Matters (CAMA) bill signed into law by the President Of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari some weeks ago.’ Under the law, religious bodies, and charity organisations will be strictly regulated by the registrar-general of Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and a supervising minister. Section 839 (1) and (2) of the CAMA law provides that the commission may by order, suspend the trustees of an association or a religious body and appoint an interim manager or managers to coordinate its affairs where it reasonably believes that there has been any misconduct or mismanagement, or where the affairs of the association are being run fraudulently or where it is necessary or desirable for the purpose of public interest. While reacting to this development, Iginla blamed some church leaders for creating division in Christianity, hereby allowing the government to trample on churches without fear. He lambasted them for having unnecessary doctrinal argument when there are other issues to deal with ‘One of the reasons the body of Christ in Nigeria is having problem is because we don’t know our capacity. We have lost focus and spent time having doctrinal argument. We are the light of Nigeria. If we want to ensure that a Christian becomes the president of this country, we have the capacity but we are so self-centered and divided that we are running to people that should be running to us, everything doesn’t end in prayer, there are things we don’t need prayer for in Nigeria. We have the capacity to strengthen things but the church has lost her tastes. We are in days when we no longer attack the devil but ourselves. The reason people from other religion will continue to do better is because they understand their capacity. If as a Christian leader, you are corrupt or found wanting, you should be dealt with but I disagree that someone will propound a law into a spiritual entity. Its because the church is asleep. Last year, I prophecied that the church will face persecution because the church is asleep’ Also, Iginla made his stand known on the CAMA law, explaining that the law is a coup against Christianity and that some pastors are ready to die to prevent the law from being implemented on churches. He maintained that the church was built by the labour of pastors and appointment of trustees who know nothing about the growth of the church, the affairs of the church is highly condemnable ‘’Do you know what it took some of us to labor to grow a church up to this level and someone will say he will appoint a trustee over the Church. You don’t even know how the church came about. If a pastor is corrupt, let him face the law and go to jail but appointing a trustee? Some of us are ready to die before you do that to us, it is absolutely wrong. Do you know why it is happening like this? Because the church isn’t feared. How do you make a law for the church? You change the trustee and put your own trustees? When has some organization become a spiritual entity? Are you about to preach, do deliverance, in what capacity will you control the church? Make laws that prevent men of God from being corrupt and if they are corrupt, take them to court but putting your trustees is a coup against the church’’ Furthermore, He advised the government to divert its attention and energy into fight against corruption in the government ‘Sometime I laugh. Thank God for this government and what they are doing, but I must say their energy must be channeled on the right thing. Those who have looted our money and sent our children to live in penury, those governors that have embezzled money should be sent to jail. Its only in my country that those who are fighting corruption are even corrupt. Money that was spent on Covid-19 , how many got it? Those who are in charge should be sent to jail. Leave the church alone. We are not government. If any pastor is found looting with the government, send him to jail but hunting the church is the last place of priority in the fight against corruption. The government should intensify efforts against those ones. These are people we should use as scapegoats. I am not saying they should not look into the church, look into it but appointing a trustee in the church is wrong. If anyone is appointed to take my sit in my church, except the Lord hasn’t anointed me, He or she will not live to see the next seven days’’. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2xLrGZA8ew

Enough is enough! Prophet Bushiri Reacts To Rape Allegations ( Video) Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has responded to the allegation of rape made against him by two women. This came after the Police confirmed they are investigating the multi-millionaire leader of the Enlightened Christian Gathering church for the alleged rape of two women. In a statement released on his social media today, he said Enough is enough: For the last 3 years we have been dealing with extortion. A police officer at the Hawks called Phumla Mrwebi has been intimidating women and children to come up with false rape allegations against us. This has been done together with members of the media. This woman comes and demands money from us. The supposed victims come and demand money from us. The shameless journalists also demand money from us. This Mrwebi woman, for the past 3 years, has been running an extortion syndicate against me through sending girls to demand money from us and if we don't give, she told the girls to go public and accuse us of raping them. We reported the matter in 2018 to several state institutions such as State Security Agency, Inspector General of Intelligence, police commissioners, and including the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) to bring this woman to justice and leave me alone. No action! As we are writing, this woman, working with Mashishi of SANCO, has again recruited several girls to be interviewed by ETV to accuse me of raping them. Some of these girls, secretly came to us, demanding various amounts ranging from 50 000 to 2million Rands to their masters(as aforementioned) in order to stop the story from being aired by ETV. We recorded them and you can see for yourself. Well, we told them we arenot giving a single coin to them to stop ETV from running this story. Etv must go ahead. We are going to sue you and your extortion cohorts. This time we want to show you the power of money and justice. We want to warn every party involved in this syndicate that I have overwhelming evidence of all their doings. A serious legal suit will follow and we will fight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZYPel2xCjw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SicvZn90dQ

TB Joshua: Honour to the Humble Donkey by Otunba Ade Dandy THE country, Nigeria, whether the generality of the citizenry acknowledges it or not, is the sole beneficiary of the impact Lagos, as indeed the Christian cleric Prophet TB Joshua, is making not just on the Christian faithful but also the entire world. With the redoubtable activities of the healer, Christendom is made the better off. Surely, the Christian Association of Nigeria needs TB Joshua more than TB Joshua needs the body. It is CAN's image that is at stake. Whatever is the consensus within the Christian fold concerning the enigmatic TB Joshua, in fairness to the concerned parties there is no deviation from the understanding that with the positive role the SCOAN Ministry is playing in the amelioration of the suffering of mankind through charity and faith healing of otherwise terminal disease conditions as much as therapeutic rejuvenation of patients of one trauma or another, Nigeria still has something to offer the world, something uniquely, genuinely positive. By the benefit of hindsight, it is not as if the then President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua was guilty of dereliction of duty when he conferred on the prophet one of the highest national honours at the time he did. It is in recognition of the fact that of the less than 1 million visitors that make their way annually across the country’s borders, the majority embark on the trip merely to keep a date with the Lagos prophet at the synagogue of all nations. The exact figure of people so subject to the TBJ magnetic pull may be fit for scrutiny by only the data office. Nonetheless, whatever the end-result of such exercise, it must be borne in mind that, in the words of the prophet himself, the conferment of Officer of the Order of Niger (OON) on him is honour done to the humble donkey. Today, whatever the orchestrated shortcomings, it is incontestable that Nigeria still has something to offer. Ordinarily, that the world Headquarters of the Synagogue, Church of All Nations is based in Lagos, Nigeria, is sufficient reason for ecstasy. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2680274482230683&set=a.1600611323530343&type=3&theater

VIDEO: TB JOSHUA MADE “AMBASSADOR OF TOURISM” IN ISRAEL Nigerian Pastor TB Joshua has released a documentary on YouTube detailing the ‘persecution’ he endured during his visit to Nazareth, Israel last year followed by a national award presented to him by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism in the aftermath of the event. In June 2019, Joshua held a two-day event in the historic hometown of Jesus Christ, which attracted thousands of religious tourists from across the globe. However, the event held at the Amphitheatre of Mount Precipice was fiercely criticised by local religious figures and nearly faced cancellation due to the intensity of attacks. “This man is only promoting lies, and anyone who follows this liar is unjust. That is why we ban our people from attending,” a representative for the Christian Church and Pastoral Council in Nazareth stated in the lead-up to the event. “This visit that is going to be held by this antichrist and wizard - we, the Islamic movement - completely reject it,” noted Osama Haha, the head of Islamic Movement in Nazareth. “Jesus warned us there would be false prophets coming. We do not know where this man is coming from or the purpose behind everything he does,” stated Father Seaan Bajali, a Roman Orthodox Priest. “Boycotting the sorcerer Zionist is a national and religious duty,” the Executive Committee of the Orthodox Forum said in a statement. A protest was even organized with hundreds trouncing through the city in Northern Israel with placards decrying the coming event and people shouting: “Let this witch get away from us!” Despite the ‘noise’ surrounding the event, it was held successfully with Joshua preaching a message on love and ministering “healing and deliverance in Jesus’ name” to the large crowds that gathered. “Love for fellow man breaks down all barriers. It melts all hindrances. It dissolves prejudice, misunderstanding and suspicion,” he preached in a sermon whilst a local mosque blared out via a loud speaker, “Do not participate with this wizard.” A group of religious figures even visited the venue of Mount Precipice after the event and performed a ‘cleansing ritual’ with water, leaves and salt. However, interviews with local figures after the event revealed a markedly different impression, with residents celebrating the economic and social impact of Joshua’s visit to the region and calling for him to return for future events. “This is the first time in 2,000 years we have heard the name of Jesus proclaimed publicly in Nazareth,” stated a tearful Nazarene Christian. The event, which was broadcast on local television throughout Israel and featured in The New York Times and Reuters, subsequently attracted the attention of Israel’s Ministry of Tourism, which gave an award to the Nigerian cleric and made him a ‘Tourism Ambassador’. “TB Joshua, on the occasion of your visit to Israel, I am honoured to recognise you as a true friend of Israel. Thank you for your support and solidarity, which are deeply appreciated. It is my pleasure to name you as a ‘Tourism Goodwill Ambassador For Israel’,” wrote Yariv Levin, the Minister of Tourism. “You only need to hear ‘Go!’ from above. Who are you to say no? When God says yes, no one can say no! The noise of north and south, the noise of east and west does not matter. It only promotes,” Joshua explained in an interview accompanying the documentary. Joshua is the first ‘Evangelical Pastor’ to have held a public event in Nazareth; the only other religious figure to have had such an event was Pope Benedict XVI in 2009. Reacting to the documentary, followers of Joshua were quick to salute his courage, opining that such degree of attacks would easily discourage those of lesser faith. “It depends on who sent you,” the prominent cleric concluded. “Above all powers; above all kings. What can man do? Can man stop God? No. Capital NO!” VIDEO - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U21T0tLZMzU
